Prompt: "I think I broke him."

Her Christmas Eve day was just getting weirder by the minute, Ra had just decided. In an attempt to be helpful while the others were in London getting Santa out of the Serpent Brotherhood's headquarters, the Archivist had removed herself to the kitchen in order to make some snacks for when they returned. She had barely finished mixing the cookie dough she was making when Jones bustled into the kitchen behind her and practically pushed her out with no explanation.

Shaking her head, Ra made her way back into the main workroom to find Jenkins, Cassandra, and Jacob standing around the phone, presumably talking with Colonel Baird as she was with Santa. The Archivist cleared her throat. "I'm not entirely sure what's going on with Jones, but I think something broke him."

Jacob rolled his eyes. "It's the hat. Apparently, it's Santa's talisman for this incarnation."

"Oh, joy."

Cassandra looked lost in thought for a moment. "Wait, does it have to be the North Pole? This is about ley lines, right? Santa releases the magic power at midnight and that power travels through the world using the ley lines."

"Absolutely." Ra smirked at the other woman. "I may not have heard the entire conversation, but I do understand that. The northern ley lines just happen to be the most powerful one. Hence, the legend of Santa living at the North Pole."

"Pole, polarity."

The Archivist furrowed her brow as Cassandra seemed to be headed off in a tangent, but she was unable to say anything as Jacob spoke up now. "I got it."

Ra furrowed her brow even further before groaning as she watched him try to make the ley line map appear above them with the globe. She quickly intercepted him before he could catch it, leveling him with a glare. "Please stop that, Jacob. I would prefer to not have to fix this again."

Luckily, Cassandra spoke up before Ra had to explain herself. "Okay, I have an idea. But I'm gonna need satellite maps, a farmer's almanac, and plasma quantum dynamics charts, also some of that…I'm sorry, do you smell hot chocolate?"

The Archivist sighed before looking over at the entrance to the kitchen just in time to watch Jones practically waddle into the workroom carrying a tray full of hot chocolate. She shook her head as he set his tray down on the table; he was wearing one of the aprons that Jenkins refused to claim were his. The thief spoke cheerily. "Don't forget the cinnamon sticks!" Then they heard a bell ring. "Oh, oven's ready for the cookies!"

Ra's eyes widened as she raced after him. "Don't you dare touch my cookie batter!"
