So here is some more fleshing out of both Little Mac and Bimbette's past I planned flashbacks of the childhood to be sporadic placed when they become relevant

Little Mac knew that Bimbette's story had more than she was telling but he knew he wasn't going to get it out of her by yelling at her...He would have to employ a different strategy and that would mean he would need help because for the scrappy young boxer it sometimes felt that fighting was all he was good at.

So he big good bye to the Mutant Doe saying he was just happy to see her again and he didn't care that she wasn't human "For what it's worth…" He said quietly and bashfully as he stepped out the door "...I think your real form is really pretty."

He could see Bimbette visibly blush under her tawny fur at that compliment as obviously she wasn't expecting that and Little Mac mumbled a hasty apology and quickly left thinking to himself 'I hope I didn't come off too creepy with that!'

But instead Bimbette knew the sincerity of Little Mac's voice with that compliment and it sent her heart fluttering as never in her wildest dreams did she imagine he would say that!

"Oh my! Oh my!" She said as she was practically dancing in place "I got to find someway to ground myself before I bounding around the apartment and start knocking things over!"
So she quickly went for one of her few precious possessions she took with her when she slipped away from her Master at the Mad Scientist Convention it was fortunate she had already been carrying these things at her backpack her Father let her take it to America with them probably because he wanted her to play a tune to demonstrate her intelligence to his fellow scientists it was her violin!

She began to play to steady her mind so she wouldn't leap like an ordinary deer to get out her giddiness!

When Little Mac returned to the apartment he and Doc Louis shared Doc told Mac he had called Glass Joe "I told her the mutant you met was French he was very interested in meeting her because when he took his honeymoon he didn't see any Mutants in France who weren't English speaking tourists."
And Little Mac realized maybe Glass Joe was what he needed maybe he could find a way to ease Bimbette's mind so she would open up more about her past, because he could clearly see she was still terrified of someone coming after her.

So he told Doc about what little he had gotten out of her and that Bimbette told him she had been specifically created as an experiment in creating psychic powers.

"I knew back then she was part of something weird…" Mac sighed "...Shortly after I first met her she...Showed me what she could do."
FLASHBACK

The Next few days after first meeting Bimbette Little Mac would always meet Bimbette at the basketball court and they would talk for a while before she would have to leave, where she was going to she wouldn't tell Little Mac and this made Mac seriously worry about her situation the fact she was always barefoot, that she was always hiding among the trash cans Little Mac's young imagination was dreaming up the most horrifying nightmare scenarios that he and the other orphans got from when they snuck in watching America's Most Wanted when the adults were too tired to stop them.

And then one day he got a hint that made him stop thinking of intervening because he feared if he alerted any adults she would be taken somewhere to be dissected…

He brought her a copy of The Ring magazine to show her all the things about boxing he read and how he dreamed of being a boxer one day...And she listened as she ate the apple he brought her (He learned from their first meeting she really liked apples when he offered to share his lunch and all she wanted was the apple which she devoured like nobody's business!)

Then when turning the page he felt a pain in the tip of her finger

"Ouch!" he cried he had gotten paper cut

"Mother...Hubbard…" He said through clenched teeth why do paper cuts have to hurt so much? They are such little things but Little Mac felt hot tears sting his eyes not wanting to cry in front of Bimbette and thinking miserably if he cried over a little paper cut he'd never be a boxer!

"Oh! Little Mac!" Bimbette cried "Let me help you with that…"
"No really I'm fine…" Little Mac still trying to be the 'tough guy' in front of the girl

But then she put his wounded finger in her mouth and began to suck on it…

"Bimbette?!" Little Mac's pain and embarrassment turning to bewilderment and the beginnings of disgust but then he felt as he saliva touched his wound he felt a strange warm comforting feeling unlike anything he had felt before! He felt a chill go down his spine as he realized this was something magical happening…

And when Bimbette realized his finger from his mouth it was completely healed no scar at all.

"Little Mac?" Bimbette realized by using her power she might have done something she shouldn't have.

Little Mac looked at his finger his face very pale realizing Bimbette had some kind of super power...He had watching that old Disney movie Escape From Witch Mountain at the orphanage and immediately imagined Bimbette was in some kind of similar situation...And he feared for her safety as now he had an idea about why she was so strange.

So he simply said "Thank you…" And stood up "So...I'll see you again tomorrow?"
It's funny I was already thinking about Escape From Witch Mountain when preparing for this chapter when a pen pal mentioned watching it recently
