The jock slid into the studio, though he tripped over a wire and fell right in front of Josh. "I see you haven't changed much," Josh chuckled as Tyler got to his seat. "Let's start this interview with Ezekiel."
"The guy is definitely strange even before the feral phase," Tyler explained. "But come on. The worse thing he did was piss off the girls at camp. He didn't deserve that treatment. No one should."
"But you were envious of his popularity, weren't you?"
"Only for, like, a short time. I got over it after World Tour. Plus, I gained a whole bunch of fans after some time."
"Now, what about Eva?"
"Well, she's definitely a tough competitor. But her anger issues are quite a hurdle to get past. Most of the Killer Bass were scared of her after seeing her outburst, and I can't really blame them. Still kinda lingers to this day."
"Next up is Noah. You didn't interact much in Island, but placed on the same team in World Tour."
"We were kinda neutral most of the game. When Lindsay seemed to be forgetting my existence, he gave me a tad of advice and told me to simply be patient, and that paid off in the end. The only time I actually got mad at him was when he left me behind in the London challenge, but could you blame me? We buried the hatchet in that once we got to the Aftermaths. He's kinda decent once you get past the snarkiness. Guess I know why Owen digs him."
"Did you and Justin interact any time?"
"Uh, not that I can recall. The only time was in the special after he took the case. But I wasn't really super-mad. I mean, we were all going for the million dollars. But I can't say we're friends."
"Let's do a two-for-one deal next." Tyler just sighed as he saw Katie and Sadie's picture. "Don't have an opinion on either of them," he admitted. "They mainly stuck to themselves."
"I think we'll get some juice with Izzy," Josh stated, "As you two spent some time together in World Tour."
"Unlike Noah, I personally didn't understand why Owen liked someone as insane as her. I mean, she CLEARLY abused him with physical pain! And then Owen ends up running back to her in the end?! Honestly, I think they're a toxic couple. Not the worst, but quite bad. And I don't talk to Izzy whenever I see Owen."
"Oh, interesting! Next is Cody, someone you've spent more time with in the third season."
"I pitied the hell Sierra put him in. Um, pardon the language. Me and Noah tried to help him hide whenever the pressure of Sierra became too much. But unfortunately, we didn't speak much since his team won most of the time and Sierra kept us away whenever he did join us. It's partly why I couldn't side with him in the finale...at first."
"Yep, you're not the first to voice complaints against her. Let's proceed onto Beth now."
"I really got to talk to her through Lindsay. She's pretty cool and I really admired that she stood up against Heather in season one. After Lindsay got UNFAIRLY booted in season two, Beth was my choice to support to win. We're still on good terms to this day."
"This next one ought to be juicy." Tyler groaned at Courtney's picture. "C.I.T., she claims," he scoffed. "I'm thinking a certain five-letter word that describes her better. In Island, she was mainly one of those hypocrites. In fact, her attitude is exactly why I voted for her in that Phobia episode. She turned downright AWFUL at the special. She tried to kill me, DJ, Owen and Cody just for the million bucks! No money is worth that! She only got worse in Action, and I was kinda relieved that I didn't qualify. Though the sports movie did sound kinda cool."
"What about World Tour?" Josh asked. "That's where you two spent the most time at."
"I thankfully avoided her most of the time since Team Amazon won most of the challenges. But after London and Greece, she started to act even more awful, if that was even possible. Personally, I don't get why the blogs say she's the victim in the whole love triangle when her attitude is just plain bad! I mean, after she dumped Duncan, she tried flirting with me, someone who CLEARLY had a girlfriend! I was glad she got booted later and in All Stars, too."
"Now, you and Harold seemed to bond a tad in World Tour before he quit. Any interactions beforehand?"
"Eh, just a few casual chats here and there. Unlike most of the others, I valued his skills that he brought to the Killer Bass. But we weren't super-close or anything, though."
"What about Trent? You two weren't on the same team nor did you two compete on the same season again."
"About the same case with Harold. Aside from a few casual chats, we weren't super-close."
"Now, let's talk about another member of the Killer Bass." Tyler simply smiled as he saw Bridgette's picture. "She's about as kind as the show showed," he explained. "The only really bad thing she did was tease me about my fear, but it could've been much worse. We didn't get to chat again until World Tour, and I noticed she was starting to fawn over Alejandro. I tried to advise her to imagine him like a porcelain vase or a priceless work of art: you can look, but you can't touch. Clearly, that didn't go so well. We still occasionally chat about different sports and stuff."
"We'll leave your girlfriend Lindsay for last," Josh informed him. "What are your thoughts on DJ?"
"He was cool in Island, up until he joined Duncan's clique. Fortunately, I heard he kinda broke off after the trust episode. I was proud of him when he broke free of Chef's alliance. But come World Tour, he was becoming a wreck due to that stupid curse. I admit that I let my anger get the better of me after Lindsay got booted, and I shouldn't have snapped at him. But I couldn't help but feel bad when I heard his curse came back. We're still pretty chill to this day, I believe."
"Let's move onto Geoff."
"About the same with Geoff. I'm glad he snapped back to his senses in Action. We didn't chat much in World Tour but we're not, like, enemies."
"Now, onto Leshawna. You two teamed up on other reality TV shows, didn't you?"
"Yeah, we were. We considered each other friendly rivals in that sense. From there, I could see why she needed the money, as she planned to use it to help her community back home. I was kinda shocked she got cut so quickly in World Tour. I was hoping for our friendly rivalry to continue. But she's a good person deep down."
"This next one should be juicy." Tyler simply took Duncan's picture and tore it in half. "He's such a pain in the butt!" he yelled out. "From tormenting Harold to that horrible love triangle... Speaking of which, while Courtney did push him away with her attitude, Duncan shouldn't have gone behind her back and kissed Gwen while they were still technically together! I would NEVER do Lindsay like that, and seeing it made me furious! Still don't get why I got cut instead of him, and I still don't like him to this day."
"Talk about hot news!" Josh teased. "Let's talk about Heather now."
"She was a pain in Island, and I was upset that she was the reason Lindsay got booted in a stupid loophole. By World Tour, I mostly avoided her, but all she did was complain whenever she wasn't in first class. It was so annoying. I was conked out for most of World Tour's finale, but I heard people were siding with Heather over Alejandro, which I never really understood. She's a bad guy. Don't really chat with her."
"Now onto the last member of the love triangle. Your thoughts on Gwen?"
"I think people give her too much hate. In Island, she was simply defending herself from Heather. In Action, while her and Trent's relationship was pretty messy, people act like she was the villain when it was actually a simple break-up. And from what I heard, it helped them in the long run. World Tour is a tragic mess for her. They make her out as this mastermind, but I don't think she is. After we got booted and were healing up, I tried talking to her about the love triangle. She honestly didn't say much, but I could tell she felt a bit guilty about how everything turned out in the end. She put on a brave face once the cameras started rolling, but inside she was a wreck. I offered to be a shoulder to lean on if she ever needed it, though she hadn't tried reaching out to me, so... I still think she's a good person deep down. She just has a hard time with opening up to people."
"Oh, interesting! Now, you and Owen spent a lot of time in World Tour. Any thoughts?"
"He's a cool dude. We aren't, like, super-close, but he has this...energy to him that can light up a room. But he was also kinda close to Duncan, too. Still, I didn't feel too upset when he confessed to booting me in Area 51. We're still casual friends to this day."
"Let's move onto Sierra now."
"Well, she's not exactly the best person in the world. I mean, in Paris, she gaslighted Cody into spending time with her through fake sobbing and anger. But...she also seems like she just wants someone to be close to. I don't personally think she's inherently bad, but she REALLY pushes the limit at times."
"Oh, this one ought to be a good one!" Tyler simply smirked at Alejandro's picture. "Don't start with those Aletyler jokes," he advised before continuing. "He's a pretty good dude, in my opinion. At least, to me."
"Maybe because he was manipulating you?" Josh suggested with a grin.
"No! I would know if I was being used! And besides, he was straight with me on everything that happened once the season ended. About being pressured by Duncan to boot me, what happened with Cody...he looked to me as a genuine friend. He even trusts me and Lindsay to babysit his kids. We're still good friends to this day."
"Speaking of her, let's discuss your love interest. What made you get attracted to Lindsay?"
"I'll admit it was partly because she looked attractive. But also her kind and bubbly demeanor. By the dodgeball challenge, we started to chat and get to know each other better...until Heather decided to cut in. Afterwards, we decided to keep things casual with some chats and a few make-outs here and there. We were still fine, even when Lindsay was eyeing Justin. But really, nearly every chick was doing that, so it wasn't a huge deal at the time. But problems arose at World Tour, where she seemed to forget about me entirely. I mean, it was no secret that Lindsay can misname people by mistake. But forgetting that I existed and calling me Noah and Dave? I'll admit it was frustrating. But I was patient with her, trying to gently remind her who I was. However, I ended up losing my cool by the time we got to Germany and told her outright who I was. It ended up in my favor and I was joyous when Lindsay finally remembered me."
"So, rumors popped up on the Web that you and Lindsay broke up."
"That's all it is: a rumor. After World Tour, she offered to let me meet her family, and I made a good impression. Her parents later pulled me and Lindsay over and...explained some stuff about her."
"I have heard hints about this from other interviews. Want to elaborate?" Tyler took a nervous breath before continuing. "When Lindsay was about five years old," he explained, "She got into a car accident. It affected the part of her brain that dealt with memorizing stuff. Linds even wore that bandana to hide some of the bruising. But I assured Linds that I'd still stick by her no matter what. When I heard she got cast for All Stars, I went over to congratulate her, but she wasn't as cheerful as I was. But I'm gonna let her explain that bit herself."
"Talk about heavy," Josh commented. "And it does explain a few things. Well, we're almost finished. Did you meet any people from the other two gens?"
"Well, I have met with the jocks of each season. Jo's mean, Brick and Sky are okay, but I'm actually close with Lightning. People harp on him for what happened between him and Cameron, but I kinda see where he comes from. He thought he was cheated out of a win, and I'd feel pretty upset if that happened to me. He actually felt bad about his actions in Revenge's finale, and I even helped him and Cameron bury the hatchet on everything. Now he and I are coaches for our rival high schools. He's probably the only guy from those two gens I'm actually really good friends with."
"Okay, last question. What do you think of the new cast fifteen years later?"
"Wayne and Raj are definitely my personal favorites. Their friendship is so wholesome to see, and they weren't just like Katie and Sadie. The others I'm about neutral on, though people like Julia, Axel and Scary Girl aren't people I want to meet."
"Okay, thank you for your time, Tyler. Exit's that-a-way."
"Of course, Josh. I-" As Tyler got up, he accidentally tripped over the wire from earlier and ended up rolling right out the door. "I'm okay," he groaned from outside.
"Some things never change," Josh muttered. "Let's see who's... Oh, no. Tell production to keep an eye on anything that might be even remotely explosive. You saw "Up The Creek", haven't you?"
Everyone's favorite and clumsiest jock is here! So, I mainly try to expand on interactions such as Noah, Courtney, Leshawna, Duncan, a pinch of Gwen and Alejandro. I also gave Lyler a little more substance with that reveal of Lindsay's. (My headcanon on why she's so forgetful of names.) I can also imagine Tyler and Lightning actually becoming good friends after TD.
Next up is the ginger-haired girl that might need a straightjacket...okay, Owen. No more jokes like that to her. Until next time, this is Dunsparce519 saying enjoy and have a good day.
