So yeah, nearly a month since this fic has been updated. What excuses do I have this time?

Well let's see…

Lethargy and writer's block

More responsibilities needed for me at home. (since my dad is now back at work),

Too much enjoyment watching the NBA Playoffs because classes are over and I finally graduated from senior high school (I'm a fan of basketball)

Anxiously waiting if I get accepted to the college I applied for

And lastly, undergoing the long process of getting my new driver's license. Yay, go me…

I do not own Red vs. Blue, RWBY, nor Halo. They belong to Rooster Teeth and 343 Industries respectively.

Here we go

"Oh yeah, we stopped that shit!" Tucker shouted content with their second straight victory against the White Fang. The authorities were now busy cuffing and placing each of the captured members into police cars and vans to take them to prison.

"Really? Cause it looks like you were just standing over there admiring those female terrorists." Felix retorted.

"Can't blame me dude. Seriously, you can't drool for those girls literally having cat and bunny ears on their heads Felix? If we had actual faunus living at Gulch, they may give those playboy models a run for their money!"

Church sighed tiredly and said "Can we just fucking drop this and go back to the hotel? I do not want to fight another battle that the Reds stupidly initiated again."

"Hey" Grif indignantly said "Sarge was the one who suggested that I'd be the one to cause a distraction and get shot at."

"Which would have been a perfectly unfailing plan numbnuts!"

Church one again, sighed exasperatedly and replied "As I said before, let's just drop this fucking conversation, go back to the hotel, sleep, and forget this whole fiasco ever happened." He tiredly groaned and continued "I'm adding this to our report. Let command know that the White Fang are very much active and may prove as a threat to our plans."

"That would be appreciated" replied Locus.

As the group made their way towards their van, a voice called out to them.

"Excuse me gentlemen but can I have a moment of your time?" a voice that sounded like Washington called out to them.

"Agent Washingtub!?" Caboose excitedly asked.

"Um, no."

The group turned to see two individuals approaching them, a man whose attire was mostly dark green in color and a blond woman with a white blouse, pencil skirt and cape.

"Hey there good looking." Both Felix and Tucker said at the same time to the woman who only frowned back at them.

"Who the hell are you?" Church asked.

"Young man, it would be much appreciated that you select your words wisely when speaking to the headmaster." the woman scolded the cobalt hooded teen.

"Headmaster of what?" Church shot back "Sorry lady but I don't know who you are. If you hadn't noticed, we snuffed out those maniacs in their hideout and stopped an attack on the hotel orchestrated by them earlier."

"And an excellent effort at that" the man complimented the group. "And apologies for my manners. My name is Professor Ozpin, headmaster of-

"Beacon Academy" Simmons finished for him.

Simmons cowered a bit as all eyes turned to him. Ozpin gave a smile. "You would be correct in saying so young man."

A moment of realization struck the reds and blues as they remembered that they have the option of entering the huntsman academies and pose as one of the students to learn more about how Remnant has changed over the years.

"So, what does the prestigious headmaster of the renowned academy want with us?" Felix asked the mysterious man.

"Back to the point I see. Very well, the reason I approached you all was because of your efforts of stopping a group of White Fang members who have now caused more trouble as of late. The terrorists had started to take more violent measures of approach these days and hearing that a group of young individuals who have managed to stop them gave you some newfound reputation. A positive one I might add."

"We were only doing what was required of us sir. Saving lives and protecting the innocent will always be one of our top priorities." Locus answered in a professional manner.

"Which is what I admire and I salute to. It is rare to find youths who have similar thinking to your group. Beacon would be very interested in your skills. It would be a waste to miss out on talent that your unit possesses."

"Ooh, please do tell more." Sarge preened and tried to fish out more compliments. "It requires great set of skills to lead this young group."

"Speak for yourself." Tucker muttered "You're not our leader."

"Which is why I am offering you all a proposition."

The soldiers from Gulch awaited the punch line.

"I would like to offer you all positions in my academy as students." Ozpin stated his offer.

"What about me?" Sarge asked.

"We could probably make you one of our staff, if the others agree upon it."

The woman raised her eyebrow at Ozpin's suggestion. "Do you happen to have teaching experience?" she asked the red sergeant.

"Who in Sam Hill are you?"

"Glynda Goodwitch, deputy and combat instructor of Beacon."

The reds and blues quickly shook their heads as a no but wasn't noticed by Sarge. Glynda saw it and took it as an answer to her doubts regarding Sarge being a potential staff member of the academy.

A moment of silence followed after the statement like something crucial was about to happen. Each of the troopers looked around each other waiting for one of them to answer back to the Washington-esque sounding man.

"Can we take some time to plan for ourselves?" Doc politely asked.

"Take all the time you need. Should you refuse, my offer still stands if you change your minds."

The group all went inside the van, discussing the issue at hand and drove back to the hotel.

"So, school…"Tucker began, waiting to see the other's reaction.

"Hell no."Grif answered.

"Hell yes." Simmons quickly spoke up.

"I'm out." Church gave his two cents.

"I'm in." Doc acknowledged.

Tucker rubbed his chin to make it seem as if he was deducing those answers and attempted to look smart. "So, the nerds favored aye while the assholes chose nay."

"Shut up moron." Church grumbled. "We all know you're only in it for the chicks."

"Oh yeah, at least I still favored in going to the academy. We're still up three to two." Tucker retorted.

"¿Podrías decidir adecuadamente y tratar esto en serio? No sé si esa academia es amigable con los robots. (Could you walking meat suits decide properly and treat this seriously? I don't know if that academy is robot-friendly.)". And as always, Lopez was ignored. The android was hoping Locus could back him up.

"If you must know" Locus addressed the group as he researched on his tactical laptop, "Professor Ozpin has connections towards the council due to his position as headmaster of the academy. If in time we reveal ourselves as people from Gulch and tell him our plans, it would be easier to convince Vale's political leaders into a meeting with President Kimball in a summit."

"A smart move, I guess I should expect nothing less coming from a cunning and lethal bastard like yourself" Sarge surmised from the front seat of the van.

"Would there ever be a day when you people would stop talking unless necessary?" the mercenary protested.

Church chose to answer for him. "Dude, bitching and complaining is what makes us… you know, us. Get on with the times man."

"Was that a compliment from Church?" Donut piped up.

"Oh shut up."

Felix whistled low and now joined in on the conversation. "Well, if the big guy says we're going to that famous institution, I'm in."

"Is that Felix volunteering I hear? Who are you and what have you done with that fucker?" Church mocked him.

And so it was decided, they pose as students and go with the game plan.

A/N: You guys don't have to read this last bit of info, it's okay. But if you do, then be my guest and enjoy reading this short rambling below, heh :)

To me, it's a bit funny that the teams who I mentioned on chapter 7 didn't last long in the NBA Playoffs or missed it entirely. Portland, the Lakers and Wizards were eliminated during the first round. The Warriors lost the play-in tournament for a spot on the playoffs and OKC and Cleveland didn't reach or have a chance at all. The Thunder had the fourth worst record in the league and the Cavs are 13th in the Eastern Conference. Currently in the conference finals, Phoenix is up 3-1 against the Clippers while the Bucks steamrolled Atlanta during game 2.
