I DON'T OWN ANYTHING
N's pov
After leaving the hospital I went back to my room where I was staying. I was not at all feeling hungry so I just skipped eating dinner and went directly to sleep, but my thoughts were not allowing me to do that. The thoughts which are currently revolving around touko, her cries, the betrayal in her voice.
' Have I betrayed her?' I know I did betrayed her. I shook my head " perhaps I should take a shower and read some book, " I got up from my bed but then someone knocked the door, "N,... it's us, " I heard a familiar voice from behind the door, 'why are they here ?' I got up and opened the door and saw two ladies, one with pink hair and one with yellow.
Anthea and Concordia, my foster sisters and caretakers, " come in, " I said, they came inside, I asked them to take sits, they both were in their casual dresses, " why are you two here ?" I asked, "h... how have you been ?" Concordia asked, " stop beating around the bushes, tell me what do you want ?" I said or more like ordered them. They looked at each other and then to me, " we were concerned about you," Anthea said softly, there was slight tone of sadness in her voice. " After so many years ?" I continued, " when I needed you, you never came to even meet me and now, after coronation you are here, " I said, of course I was angry.
They left me alone in that prison like room for years, they didn't talked with me like they used to, if they are going to either way distance themselves from me then even I will do the same. Earlier, I would have tried but since it has been years I can't help it. " Lord N, it was our mistake and we-" I stopped Anthea from speaking anything further, " get to the point," I ordered.
She sighed deeply and looked down, " we are here to inform you that you need to come back to castle for a while, " " I can't, ghetsis has given me a mi-" " mission of kidnapping touko ? But these message is from him and he also ordered you to postpone the mission, " Anthea said, I stared her for a minute and turned back, "okay, " though I was happy that the mission is postponed but still there was one question, "but, " I turned to them, " why did ghetsis sent you ?" this made me curious, he never sent anyone aside from shadow triad to deliver message.
They looked at each other and turned to me, "we requested him to send us, " Concordia said, " since we were in driftveil city, it was easy to come here, " Anthea added, I didn't said anything and they continued, " there is something more important that you need to address, " I nodded, " okay, " I said, they didn't moved from their place or made any comment, neither did they took their eyes off of me, "what ?" I asked, anthea closed her eyes and said, " do you hate us... for that day ?" 'why wouldn't I ?'
Now it was my time to keep standing and staring them, " N, we had our reasons for that -" " what reason was there to betray me ? " I interrupted her, " you two... I tried protecting you, even though I am younger than you, I was trying, " I continued despite the sombre look on their faces, " I wanted to give you the happiness because I thought that you two were my family, " I concluded.
" We know that N, " Concordia said, she placed her hand on her chest and closed her eyes, " I and Anthea also thought of you as our family, since our parents were not there, since we were just two to three years older than you..." she sniffed, " we...we thought of you as our younger brother... but ghetsis wouldn't have allowed you to... to distract yourself from your goal, " she wiped her tears which started coming in between of her conversation, " you are the king, you are the leader... if you start antagonizing your own people, then it would be a disaster for team plasma !" she concluded.
Concordia fell on knees and started crying, Anthea was trying to console her, " make whatever excuses you want to make, " I said that after a while of silence, and that too in a cold voice, they turned to me with horror in their eyes, " now get up and go back, I will come tomorrow, " I said, they were speechless, 'it might have shocked them, but... whatever ' they left without saying anything.
I closed the door quickly and hoped that no one has seen them coming and going. ' N, ' I turned to him, ' why do you think ghetsis might have called you ?' " I don't know, may be there is some information regarding the stones we found ? Who knows ?" I replied, then scratched his ear, ' N' " hm ?" ' do you really want to put touko in danger... by summoning the legendary dragon ?' this question caught me off guard, "why are you asking this now ?" ' because... I don't like the Idea of you kidnapping her and all, with her... you look happy with her, the same way when you used to play with Anthea Concordia and us !'
" Don't take their names and don't remind me of those horrible times, " I said, ' but ...' "enough ! Now go and sleep, " I said angrily. He looked sad, ' why am I hurting everyone's feelings ?' even I don't know, ' is it because of Anthea and Concordia ' I shook my head, ' no, I shouldn't focus on such trivial things, I am not supposed to, ' I thought and went to sleep. 'Tomorrow will be a busy, it would be better if I get sufficient rest, ' I told to myself and closed my eyes.
Done... Well, whatever Anthea Concordia and N were talking about in this chapter will be explained in later chapters, hope so that it will provide the necessary impact that I want in this story, until then, enjoy.
