Leisurely waltzing through the Todoroki agency. Eijiro Kirishima stepped out to his floor freshly dressed in his hero costume, ready to tackle another day working alongside his best friend who by his watch should already be here by now.
Peeking his head through the break room, the long halls, and cubicles on his way to Dynamight's office, he gave a friendly wave to anyone that past him or greeted him first.
"Hey man you all set for today?" Sero grinned after he stopped to wish him a good morning.
"Kinda. Have you seen Bakugo by any chance? Is he in his office?"
"Last I saw him." Sero answered but the grin he wore slightly faltered when he looked back over his shoulder. "He's been cooped up in there since he got here and kind of acting weird if you ask me."
Surprisingly raising his brows Kirishima let his eyes move from Bakugos closed door and back to Sero.
"Don't ask." Sero dismissively shook his head before placing a brief hand on his shoulder and leaving. "You'll get what I mean once you see him."
"Um ok…" Uncomfortably grinning Kirishima rubbed the back of his head before planning to do just that.

Flipping through the next page Bakugo remained seated in his chair with his feet propped up on his desk as he continued reading, realizing just how frighteningly unaware he'd been of the things he had agreed to do. But never once was he known for backing out of something so this wouldn't be any different.
He could do this.
Hell yeah he could.
He was Dynmaight. The Dynamight.
Flipping through the next page he scrunched his face in confusion as he read the next few sentences over and over again. "The fuck?"
"Good morning!" Kirishima gave two quick knocks before flinging the door open with an overly chipper smile. "Red Riot here and ready to work!"
"Goddamn it Shitty hair!" Bakugo hissed when he fumbled with the book in his hands before watching it fall flat on the floor. "How about you knock time?!"
"I did." Kirishima quizzically watched as Bakugo bend down to glare at the book as he picked it up before sitting back down.
"Great. Now I lost my damn spot." he growled as he frantically began flicking through each page making Kirishima suddenly feel bad- but for what he wasn't sure yet.
"I know I should apologies…for what I don't know." He admitted, finding it comical with how focused Bakugo seemed to be with this book. "But here it is anyways- Bakugo I'm sorry." He playfully raised his hands.
Pausing during his search Bakugo leveled him with a blank expression. "That is the shitiest apology I've ever heard."
"Hey." Offensively frowning, Kirishima tried to tilt his head enough to try and read the title of the book, but Bakugo's hand was in the way. "At least I said I was sorry."
"Tch, you don't even know why the hell you're apologizing for idiot." Finding the page he'd been looking for Bakugo quickly began reading again.
"Remind me to buy you a bookmark for Christmas." Kirishima huffed as he sat himself across from him while patiently waiting as he silently looked around the room and fiddled with his thumbs.
After exactly two minutes and forty-two seconds Bakugo slammed the book shut. "The hell are you still here for?!"
"Erm…work?" Kirishima raised an amused brow just as Bakugo spun around in his chair to check the time.
"Shit."
"Also to tell you that you closed you book with no bookmark again." He sheepishly added. "I really don't know why I just told you that."
"Damn it!" Vigorously flicking through the pages again, Kirishima was surprised that he hadn't ripped any pages out by this point.
"What are you reading anyway?" he asked leaning forward enough to see the title and raising a questioning brow. "Parenting for dummies?"
Slamming his book shut, Bakugo irritatingly glared at Kirishima before gripping the book in his hands when he realized he did it again. "Damn it…"
"Bakugo, why are you reading that?" Kirishima carefully asked before he turned his head to see a stack of books near the back on the floor. "Are you reading?"
"Yeah so what?" he grumbled as he got to his feet to walk over to his gauntlets.
"Nothing, I just haven't seen you read lately that's all." Kirishima shrugged.
"I read you moron." Bakugo rolled his eyes. "Probably read long before you got out of your diapers."
Smiling Kirishima used this distraction to walk over to the books and began sorting through them. "The care and keeping of kids? The babysitter's handbook? How to nurture your child? The step-by-step guide on how to keep your child alive?" He snorted when he held the book up to him. "Dude is there something you need to tell me?"
"I picked them up on the way home yesterday!" Bakugo barked, snatching it from his hands and putting it back in the pile.
"Ok I'm still lost here dude." Kirishima followed Bakugo's movements with his eyes.
"Look I promised airhead that I'd watch the brat for her for a day." Bakugo mumbled, extremely focused on what he was doing until he looked at Kirishima from over his shoulder when he hadn't commented on it yet. "What?"
"Nothing. I just thought I heard you say that you'd help someone watch a kid." Kirishima suspiciously tilted his head back. Since from his recollection he knew there was only one person that had a kid around here. "Wait…"
"Are you gonna get there anytime today or…?" Bakugo impatiently narrowed his eyes at the guy.
"Uraraka?!" Kirishima's eyes widened. "You're gonna watch Kiseki?"
"Babysit-whatever the hell that means." Bakugo frowned since that term never really made sense to him.
"And you read all these books?" he gestured behind him.
"Yeah, so?" Bakugo scrunched his nose in disgust when he saw Kirishimas eyes begin to glisten with pride. "You have that weird, constipated look again dumbass, stop it."
"Wow…can't believe she's actually letting you." Kirishima slowly nodded before another thought occurred to him. "Wait…your gonna watch a baby?"
"It's not hard idiot, I did it before."
"When?!"
"Yesterday when I did a quick stop to give her your ex-girlfriends poisonous soup before Round-face kicked me out." Bakugo bitterly scowled when he remembered how much in a hurry she seemed to be after she had finished eating and asked him to leave.
"Ok…watching someone for a few minutes or hours isn't the same bro as being responsible for a baby a whole day."
"Again, it's not that hard. Kind of like watching a puppy."
"Dude please tell me you're kidding." Kirishima felt himself hyperventilating at the thought of Bakugo watching a small helpless baby, but calmed down when he recognized Bakugo's little smirk letting him know he was actually kidding.
"It's just one day." Bakugo scoffed. "But that little brat can be a handful..."
'Like father like son…' Kirishima fondly grinned.
"Gets it from his mom I guess." Bakugo casually shrugged.
"Ok but…" When his eyes landed on another book, he unamusingly lifted it before raising a pointed brow at the blond, to which Bakugo only barked out a laugh. "Raising smart kids for dummies…really?"
"Oh yeah I picked that up for Sparky and ears." Bakugo approvingly grinned down at it after taking it from Kirishima. "Look I know what I'm doing ok, I have a little experience helping take care of cousins and crap, the books are just for the details."
Shaking his head Kirishima looked back and forth between Bakugo and the books, still trying to wrap his head around the whole thing. "Babysitting huh?" he thoughtfully asked before smiling. "Alright count me in."
"Hah?"
"Are you kidding? Taking care of a baby is the manliest thing there is to do-aside from crib shopping that is." Kirishima sheepishly added while rubbing the back of his head and they both shuddered at the memory. "Boy that was stressful..."
"Tch." Bakugo couldn't agree more.
"But I'm sure this won't be as bad. Right?"
X
"Maybe he's sick?" Mina offered some explanation as to why perhaps their most explosive friend and previous classmate decided to help.
"That would explain it." Jirou nodded in agreement with Mina walking next to her and Uraraka.
"It's still weird though."
"Why?" Uraraka quizzically asked them.
"Well he offered, and let's face it when does Bakugo offer anything but a harsh reality smack in the face? Or even help?" Mina grumbled still sour about his previous answer to her question.
"True." Jirou thoughtfully tilted her head. "But still, don't you find it weird that Bakugo of all people is offering to help you?"
"Well maybe he just wants to help." Uraraka nervously pressed her fingertips together.
"Yeah about that." Mina now fully turned to her. "We've told you before that if you needed anything we would help 'Chako."
"I know and I'm fine, honestly." Uraraka warmly smiled. "But you know Bakugo…he kind of made it hard to say no." she uneasily averted her eyes. "Besides' maybe he didn't really mean it and I'm ok with that."
"Maybe." Mina said. "I guess all I'm saying is that you don't have to do this alone. Never had or have to." Mina warmly smiled at her as she affectionately hugged her.
"Thanks."
Resuming their pace on their way to grab Hagakure and Yaoyorozu for lunch they could see Iida talking to that same person down the hall who seemed more than ready to blow up on Ingenuim as he impatiently tapped his foot.
"Oh look Iidas here." Uraraka happily grinned while waving her hand.
"Well let's just hope that if Bakugo is serious, that Kiseki will leave him in one piece." Jirou chuckled since they knew that if he didn't like someone, he made sure they knew it and would surely make things difficult, but other than that he really was the sweetest baby they've ever seen.
"-it is completely unreasonable for you to even consider this." Iida continued to scold as he raised his arms up and down which only made Bakugo boredly work his jaw as he remained leaning back against the doorframe, until he caught three figures heading their way with one in particular catching his attention.
"Round-face…"
"W-what?" Iida sputtered, turning his head to see what caught his attention.
"Look four eyes I'd love to stand here until we're both too old to walk but I've got shit to do." Bakugo swiftly brushed past him.
"Hey wait a minute-"
"You know what would be really funny?" Mina urgently asked but stopped when Bakugo stomped past them and grabbed Uraraka's arm in the process. "Huh?"
"Hmm?" Surprise crossed Uraraka's face as she saw him lead her further away before releasing her arm. "Good day to you too Bakugo." She sarcastically said, absently rubbing the spot where she could still feel the tingling sensation of where his hand had been.
"Cut the chit chat Round-face but do you wanna explain to me why I've had to stand there and deal with Mister robotic arms over there?" he pointed his thumb over his shoulder and sure enough Iida was still doing just that.
"Iida?" she puzzlingly frowned since she thought he was just dropping by for a visit.
"Do you not think I can't handle it?"
"H-handle what exactly…?" She tried to follow where he was going with this which only seemed to anger him more.
"You!" he blurted out before quickly backpaddling. "I mean your kid."
"Oh." She quickly had to look away because that thought just brought more heat to her face, especially since she knew he was more than capable of it. "Clearly he's just kidding."
They both turned back to see Iida's still displeased expression on his face. "Look do you not think I can do it?" he asked her.
"Bakugo…I appreciate the offer, but have you ever taken care of a baby?" she carefully asked not wanting to seem rude or ungrateful, but she knew that taking care of a baby was a lot of work.
"Did it ever occur to you that maybe Idon't mind watching him."
"You want to watch Kiseki?" she warily asked not believing her own ears like she did the first time he had offered to help.
"Why not?" he stared at her like he didn't understand why this was so difficult to understand. "Look Cheeks like I said before, if I didn't want to then I wouldn't have offered in the first place." When she still seemed reluctant, he irritatingly pressed his lips together. "Fine, ff it'll make you feel any better Kirishima will be there too."
Softly smiling she stared at him for a few seconds longer which made him uncomfortably look to see the others still waiting for her.
"Bakugo, I really appreciate your help I do. And this has nothing to do with whether I think you're capable or not. But…taking care of a child is a lot of work- I can barely manage to keep my eyes open -you even said it yourself remember?"
"All the more reason for you to accept my help." He watched her fiddle with her finger pads as she thought about it some more and even that small gesture made him want to smile.
"You make it seem so easy." She half giggled, still feeling unsure about the whole thing. And she meant what she said that Bakugo was more than great with Kiseki-at least from what she could tell. But the part that still made her doubt whether it was a good idea was the same reason she couldn't be close to him anymore. Not to mention it would be the first time she would leave Kiseki with someone other than her mom or with the professionals at the daycare.
"It is easy." he answered. "And it doesn't make you a bad mom if you need help Uraraka. If anyone needs a hand, it's you and I don't mean that in a bad way." he made sure to add that last part. "So how about it? Can you for once worry about yourself instead of everyone else and let me handle it?"
Glancing up she couldn't very well decline now, not with the playful way he smirked down at her. And it would be so easy to say no if there wasn't something so incredibly sweet about the way he was being right now. "Alright."
"So still good for tomorrow?" he clarified since they were both off which left her with the perfect opportunity to take time for herself.
"Yeah." She couldn't suppress her smile when his grin widened the same way it usually did when he got his way.
"What do you think they're talking about?" Mina curiously asked both Iida and Jirou, who both shrugged.
"They have been talking for a while." Jirou remarked.
"I suppose Uraraka is letting him down easy." Iida readjusted his glasses. "But he doesn't seem to be taking this the way he normally would."
"You know…I don't think that's what this is." Mina thoughtfully hummed as she placed a finger to her cheek, watching the way they both began to smile at each other as they continued talking. "Not at all…"
X
"Alright let's go over this again." Kirishima frustratingly gripped the paper in his hand, all the memories of studying together back in UA rushing through his mind in a terrifying way. "Diapers?"
"In the closet."
"Wipes? Burping clothes? Bottle- why are doing this again?" he confusingly scratched his head. "You already know where everything is."
"Never hurts to be well prepared dumbass!" he roughly snatched the paper from him and neatly placed it in his pocket as they walked towards Uraraka's apartment.
"More like overly prepared man" Kirishima mumbled before a sly grin crossed his face. "Hey if I didn't know any better I'd say you were nervous."
"Don't be stupid." Bakugo shoved his hands further into his pockets before staring forward.
"You alright man? You seem distracted lately."
"Fine." He grunted, remaining quiet even when they stood in front of her door. "Well, what are you waiting for Shitty hair? Knock."
"What? You knock." Kirishima frowned while watching Bakugo anxiously moving from one foot to the other. "Fine." It took her about five minutes to answer the door after he'd knocked. "Anyone call for two manly babysitters?"
"Come in." she smiled before moving away from the door and frantically rushing around the apartment.
Turning to Kirishima, Bakugo annoyingly rolled his eyes before briskly walking past him.
"What?"
"Hey boys!" Mina continued spinning around in one of the chairs by the counter before stopping to run over to them.
"H-hey Mina." Kirishima bewilderingly blinked unaware that she would even be here.
"We're just waiting on Ochaco to finish getting ready so the girls and I could take her out for a girl's day." She quickly explained recognizing the confusion on his face.
"Isn't the point of relaxing not to do shit like that?" Bakugo scoffed as he sat himself down, observing the nervous way Uraraka continued to walk from one place to the next.
"Clearly you've never been to a spa day like us." Mina wiggled her finger in front of him.
"They insisted." Uraraka shot him a small smile.
"Kirishima liked it…" Mina shrugged before sitting herself down next to Hagakure who was busy holding a giggling Kiseki.
"What-I…" Awkwardly chuckling Kirishima slowly meet Bakugo's disturbed face. "That was only two times Mina!"
"What, you get your nails painted too?" Bakugo smirked.
"Hey it was very masculine!" Kirishima argued before turning to Mina. "Stop telling everyone."
"Why? I enjoyed myself."
Now something about the way Mina mischievously winked that had the red head flusteredly avert his eyes made Bakugo swiftly get up from his seat in search of the occupant. "Screw this, Round-face!"
"Huh?" Peeking her head out of her room she was startled to see Bakugo already making his way over before there was an abrupt knock on the door.
"I've got it." Jirou said as she walked over to answer it. "Most likely it's Denki and-"
"Anyone call for help?" Sero happily grinned when he walked inside with Kaminari, Deku, Iida and Todoroki.
"No! And what the hell are all of you doing here?!" Bakugo had half a mind to start kicking people out.
"Oh yeah sorry about that, but we ran into these guys on our way here, so we thought we'd come here together." Sero informed them trying to move as far away from Bakugo's threatening stare as possible.
"Quiet the full house right now huh?" Kaminari grinned after giving Jirou an overly exaggerated kiss on the cheek which instantly made her playfully shove him away with a small blush.
"That's because you're not supposed to be here." Bakugo fired back.
"Hey now is that any way to show your gratitude for trying to help." Kaminari pointed an affronted finger at him.
"Who. Told. You…?" Bakugo dangerously tilted his chin up as his eyes turned white with anger a second before all eyes turned to an awkward Kirishima who pretended not to notice.
"What does it even matter? Come on Ochaco we're gonna be late for our appointment!" Mina swiftly got to her feet but not before picking up the little baby and giving him a warm embrace.
"I'll be right there!" Uraraka quickly dashed into the kitchen to make sure everything was still in order.
"I better be going too." Iida continued watching Bakugo as he went into the kitchen to follow her. "Bakugo?"
"What now?" he groaned as he turned to see Iida following him. "I told you I know how to change a diaper."
"That's not what this is about." Iida cleared his throat. "I just want to give you this."
"Hah?" glancing down at the small sheet of paper Iida handed him, Bakugo raised it to his face not sure what to expect but a phone number certainly wasn't one of them. "You're giving me your phone number?"
Opening and closing his mouth Iida looked appalled at the disgusted look in Bakugo's eyes as he looked at it. "It's in case you need any help which I'm sure you won't…I hope." He uneasily added before patting a paper that was stuck to the fridge. "And there's also the other numbers in case something happens, and he needs to be seen urgently-"
"Your faith in me is something that always surprises me class rep." Bakugo stoically spat back sarcastically. "I've dealt with all you babies back in school I think I can handle a kid for a few hours." Digging through his pants pocket he handed Iida his own list that was neatly folded and had a few pages already filled.
"What's this?" Iida's curiosity piqued just as Uraraka approached them.
"A list?" Uraraka raised her brows in amusement.
"Yes a damn list!" Bakugo snatched it from Iida and roughly shoved it towards her. "But it's not complete, so write down the rest of the shit I need."
Blinking down at the paper in her hand she looked over the places she still had to fill out for him while Iida leaned closer to her to give it more of a thorough read.
"…what that brat's schedule is right now so I don't fuck with what you already established. Nap time, feeding time, bath time, tummy time…"
"You did all this…?" she softly asked as she let her fingers trace over his writing.
"I have to admit that this list is a pretty good idea Bakugo. Not to mention a great way to keep you and young Kiseki organized." Iida complimented. "Bakugo when did you have time to do this?" he asked just as Uraraka began to fill everything out.
"Doesn't take all day to make a stupid list like this." He grumbled before turning to her. "And I better be able to read all of it Round-face!"
Stiffening, she hurriedly continued writing hoping that he would not notice the various scribbles and marked out corrections she already made.
So, by the time the girls were ready to go and waiting Uraraka found herself even more unwilling to part with her baby as she placed him down.
"Cheeks." Bakugo's voice reached her from the doorway of her room.
"I know…I'll be right there." She nervously chewed on her bottom lip as Kiseki smiled up at her and eagerly kicked his feet up.
Inhaling deeply Bakugo placed his hands in his pocket as he observed her for another minute before slowly walking towards the two.
"I know it's something I should do but…" Smiling down at her child she couldn't help but feel the small tears gathering in her eyes. "…how could I leave him…?"
"You need to, and you should." He said following her line of sight. "You do it all the time when you're at work Uraraka, so you'll be fine especially since apparently you have almost our whole damn class in your living room." He bitterly added the last part, eliciting a small laugh out of her.
"Thanks Bakugo, that makes me feel a little better." She giggled when he scowled down at her that she had the audacity to laugh at his misfortune.
"Oi." He scoffed before grabbing the fresh diaper nearby when she began changing the boy and instead moved her aside to place it on Kiseki instead.
"You seem to know a lot about babies." She remarked as she watched him finish securing it on his bottom.
"Yeah well I got a few cousins who like to shi-poop everywhere when they visit." He absently answered, never looking up until she picked Kiseki up and headed out of the room.
"Come on babe!" Mina eagerly bounced on her feet. "The salons are calling our names!"
"I'm pretty sure it's your head." Bakugo scoffed before turning to Uraraka.
"Ok…ok…I can do this." She warmly embraces Kiseki one last time before wiggling her nose against his and panic began to take over her face when her son smiled at her. "Bakugo?"
"Here." He quickly moved Kiseki to his playpen before he had to grab her by the arm and almost throw her out. "Go now before I change my mind."
"But-"
"Round-face." He warned just as she began walking away.
She wanted to argue that what if he realized she's gone and needs her, but they both knew that he won't and that this would be good for the both of them. "Please call me if-"
"I won't. Now go!" When she apprehensively nodded, he slowly closed the door before turning around with wide terrified eyes when it all slammed down on him.
"Um…you alright man?" Kirishima asked, turning to the other guys who shrugged their shoulders. When Bakugo silently walked over to the kitchen counter Kirishima wasn't far behind along with Deku. "Bakugo…?"
"Kacchan, are you ok?"
Shaking his head his anxiety continued to spike, sending waves of nausea through him. "Who the hell am I kidding I'm not built to babysit!"
"Well then why did you offer?" Kirishima frowned.
"Because she needed a break." When he saw Kirishimas pointed look, knowing in which direction the conversation would go Bakugo quickly rolled his eyes before adding "Yeah so what if I pull a double shift? I don't have the responsibility of coming home and taking care of a child, she does."
To Kirishima and the others Uraraka seemed to be doing fine but the concern that briefly flicked in his best friends' eyes told him that maybe he knew something he didn't.
"Kacchan I'm sure you'll be fine." Deku really tried to hide his smile but upon seeing his childhood friend look this nervous over a small baby made it hard not to.
"Yeah, and we'll be here, right?" Kirishima looked at Deku who nodded in confirmation.
"So you're doing it with me right?" Bakugo clarified.
"Dude you really have to start working on your wording." Kirishima placed his hand on his face before walking over to the blond and helping him out of the kitchen. "But you'll be fine."
"Right." Taking a deep breath through his nose Bakugo momentarily turned to see both Sero and Kaminari still standing there with their shoes on. "Does this look like your place to you?! Take off your damn shoes like a normal human being before you come into a person's home!"
"Man, he's strict." Sero whispered while doing as was asked. "So now what?" Sero questioningly stared down at the infant as he stared up and began to let his eyes bounce around, no doubt searching for his mother before his lips began to tremble.
"Here I saw this in a store and thought perhaps he might like it…" Todoroki remembered the small toy in his back pocket that he had bought on the way here, but the comment came out more like a question when he hesitantly placed it inside for Kiseki. "Kids like that stuff, right?" he asked no one in particular when his eyes followed Kiseki's little hands as he hesitantly reached for it.
"Aww that's nice of you man." Kirishima grinned over his shoulder as he saw Bakugo irritably crossing his arms over his chest.
"So long as he doesn't choke on it." He mumbled before making his way over.
It seemed that Kiseki and Uraraka were attached to the hip, so he braced himself for a day of changing diapers, constant phone calls from her and ongoing complaints from both ends.
He just hoped that this time the day wouldn't end with him being vomited on again since he knew the truth. This child wasn't as fragile as a damn flower like everyone here thought. He was as fragile as a bomb just waiting for you to do something, so he'll go off.
