~~~(POV: Ryan Sunrider)~~~
I slowly open my eyes in the crib, and I can't help noticing that it's starting to get too small for me. Just like the rest of the toddlers in Heliost Clan. It shouldn't be long now until we're moved to the next age group room.
It'll be 2-4, and we'll also be sharing the room with another Clan. Which is pretty cool; I didn't know Youngling Clans shared sleeping quarters. I'm looking forward to meeting members from other clans. Everyone is starting to get to a point where we can all talk.
Thanks to the education programs of the Jedi, all of my fellow Younglings are ahead of an average kid our age. I've already had some conversations, but I wouldn't exactly call them deep or entertaining. Aside from that, I've gotten a surprise due to it being my birthday.
It's Your Birthday!
'With this level-up. I've gotten my first Player Perk Point or PPP, but as I checked before, there isn't anything I really want that's worth 1 PPP.'
I've also gained another 6 SP and 40 SKP. My STAM has also had a bump in quality. Seeing the changes will be a good idea, so I summon my stat list. Everything has changed accordingly. However, now that I have 20 SP in total, I think it would be wise to spend them.
I spend the next 20 or so minutes deciding on what I want to raise, and as I finish increasing my stats, I want to see the changes made.
It's nice to see my HP is finally over 100 points. The needed XP to level-up has also increased now that I'm level 5. My stats are looking much better now, and my next level-up should yield some good results with stat calculations to increase my STAM.
There isn't a need for me to use any of the SKPs that I've got. It's best to spend that on Force Skills or Physical Skills that are hard to level up. I won't need them for Knowledge-based Skills since I have so many boosts for Skills related to knowledge.
'List Force Powers.'
I've steadily kept up training 5 out of the 6 Force Powers I have. Since Vision isn't a skill I want to level-up due to its heavy demands, I've focused on the 5 I've had for a while.
FORCE POWERS
CONTROL
Serenity (Trance)
Master 448
SENSE
Altus Sopor
Master 202
Force Sense (Danger Sense)
Professional 35
Precognition
Adept 14
Vision
Novice 1
ALTER
Telekinesis
Professional 10
These skills aren't the only things I've increased. Out of my Physical Skills, Athletics has risen from Novice 30 to 38, and Walking has risen from Novice 20 to Adept 2. So, I've made some progress here, as well. Aside from those, my single Language Skill, which is Basic, has risen from Adept 22 to Adept 140.
All in all, that's some pretty good progress. Perhaps compared to an adult or a teenager, this isn't a lot. But I'm 2 cycles old, and seeing this amount of progress is amazing.
'About now, everyone should be getting up…'
I lift my body up from the soft cushion of the crib and hold onto the edge of the railing. Looking around the room as I do. I see my clanmates starting to wake up and look around as well. The Jedi have got us on a good schedule, and I enjoy it.
Back in my old life, I couldn't get a handle on sleeping right. But in this life, it's so much easier. My attention turns to the opening of the doors, and a bunch of nanny droids come in.
All of them carrying food and drinks now that everyone is waking up. I'm not sure how treatment will change once we're moved to the new room, but I'm gonna miss being waited on by droids. Speaking of moving to the next room, it should be any day now.
I'm pretty excited to start training the way all young Jedi are trained. Aside from the bit of training we've already done.
Happy 2nd birthday to me!
In the midst of thinking about how I can find a way to send a message to my mom from the Jedi Temple, the door to the room opens. I lift my head off my pillow and take a look. It's Masters Tirana and Darsina. Two of the people I've seen the most in my time at the Temple.
Tirana is a Jedi Fosterer, but I think she runs more of an administrative role. Darsina is the one I'm most familiar with. A few moments pass, and soon, every Youngling is looking at the door to the room. Master Tirana takes a breath, preparing to speak.
"Younglings, the time has come. In a moment, nanny droids will be in here to help you out of your cribs. Once you're out of your crib, stand next to it. And wait for further instruction."
Looks like it's really here. It's time for us to be moved to the ages 2-4 room and link up with a different clan for a while. It's been a week since my 2nd birthday, and I was beginning to think that maybe it'll be a bit longer than a few days to a week.
Now I've got nothing to worry about. Today, we'll be moving.
After a few minutes, every kid is helped out of their crib by the nanny droids. Each of us stands by our crib as per Tirana's instructions. However, said woman then turns to look at her fellow Jedi. Darsina takes on a slightly solemn expression.
She steps forward with a calm look on her face. I can sense something foreboding.
"Today is the day Heliost Clan is no longer under my care. From this moment on, you'll be under the care of various Masters and Knights to oversee your Jedi training. I just want to say it's been a pleasure taking care of all of you."
We all watch as she lightly bows and takes a step back. Standing next to Tirana. I look around at my fellow clanmates, and some of them are doing their best not to cry. Some others, however hard they try, can't stop some tears from falling.
Master Tirana takes a walk down the middle of the center walkway. Almost like a drill instructor would to new military recruits.
"You will follow me to your new room. For today, all you'll be doing is transitioning and getting to know the clan you'll be sharing the room with. No longer will you be sleeping in cribs. After today, is when you'll be introduced to the Jedi responsible for your training from this point forward."
She finishes her paces up and down the room and makes her way for the exit. She turns around and looks at us as she stands in the doorway.
"Come now, there is no time to waste."
Her voice is firmer and commanding. More than I remember it. Everyone in the room moves quickly to the door, and we start following Tirana across the hall. Once there, she uses the Force, and the door opens.
As we pile in one by one, I notice the other clan is already here. Before talking to others or learning who's who. I turn and look at the door we just came through. Standing there is Tirana. Instead of further instructions, she simply smiles lightly before closing the door.
That's when I look around more, and kids all around are talking to each other. Using Force Sense, I feel there is a total of 24 Younglings in this room. Just from looking around, there are more beds than Jedi.
Telling me that during times of peace, there are typically more Jedi. I look to the corner of the room and make my way over. Claiming the bottom bunk as I do. I feel better sleeping with a wall against my back when sleeping in a bed.
"Looks like I've finally made it…"
I may not be a Jedi yet, but I've reached the point of starting my training. Which is a milestone in itself. I lean against the cool wall and see groups talking.
My eyes close for a moment, taking a relaxing breath. It'll be tough to befriend kids, but everyone in this room is smarter and a little more disciplined than normal kids. Making it easier for me. As my eyes open, a female Togruta is standing at the ladder of my bunk.
Not wasting a second, I decided to use Observe on her. I've found kids around my age don't sense it with the Force. However, Masters do.
Roka Sedé
Race: Togruta
Level: 2
Health: 100%
Age: 2
Force Potential: Very High
M-Count: 16,450
Threat Potential: None
Reputation: Neutral
Affiliation Loyalty: Order of the Jedi (100%) Boma Clan (50%) Galactic Republic (30%)
Emotional State: Curious/Excited/Sad
She's wondering why she senses that your connection to the Force is stronger than anyone she's felt before.
Roka is excited that her Jedi training is advancing and meeting a new clan for the first time.
No longer being under the care of her Jedi Fosterer has saddened her.
As a Togruta, she's a shade of blue and white. On the top of her head is a Montral and 3 lekku, just like any member of the Togurta species. What stands out aside from her appearance are her eyes. Which are a unique shade of purple.
Our eyes meet as she looks at me from between the ladder handles. She's got the highest M-Count I've seen amongst Younglings. At least anyone from my clan.
She smiles lightly as she stops her ascent and instead stands in front of the bottom bunk. Looking at me and bowing her head slightly.
"Greetings, I'm Roka Sedé of the Boma Clan. It's nice to meet you."
Not wasting this opportunity, I leave the bottom bunk and stand around a foot and a half away from her. I lower my head in the same manner and do so with a smile.
"Likewise, Roka Sedé. My name is Ryan Sunrider, of the Heliost Clan. I look forward to learning with you!"
Put an edge of excitement on the end of my voice. Causing her to smile and giggle lightly. Seeing that I'm a friendly and easy-to-get-along-with kid will make it easier to make friends among my future allies in battle.
As our introductions finish, Roka proceeds to climb the ladder and take the top bunk. A few minutes pass, and two more Younglings make their way to my corner of the room. Taking the bunk right next to mine and Roka's.
One is a female Twi'lek, and the other is a male Nautolan. The Nautolan is actually someone from my clan. Before they turn to me for an introduction, I use Observe on them.
Rasana Voréa
Race: Twi'lek
Level: 2
Health: 100%
Age: 2
Force Potential: High
M-Count: 14,800
Threat Potential: None
Reputation: Neutral
Affiliation Loyalty: Order of the Jedi (100%) Boma Clan (70%) Galactic Republic (65%)
Emotional State: Excited/Sad
Rasana is excited that her Jedi training is advancing and meeting a new clan for the first time.
No longer being under the care of her Jedi Fosterer has saddened her.
The young Twi'lek girl is a deep shade of pink, almost red. I'd only be able to describe it as hot pink or something similar, and her eyes are a perfectly matching color to her skin tone. Her head turns in my direction after a few seconds, and she sends me a smile. All of us have crooked teeth at the moment.
I look at the next batch of information given thanks to Observe.
Qel-Sriéft
Race: Nautolan
Level: 2
Health: 100%
Age: 2
Force Potential: Intermediate
M-Count: 9800
Threat Potential: None
Reputation: Neutral
Affiliation Loyalty: Order of the Jedi (100%) Heliost Clan (70%) Galactic Republic (50%)
Emotional State: Worried/Glad/Sad
Qel-Sriéft is worried he'll make a poor first impression on the new clan he's meeting.
He's glad that a clan member (You) is nearby.
No longer being under the care of his Jedi Fosterer has saddened him.
Qel-Sriéft is a fellow Youngling I've had passing conversations with once some of my clan members started getting better at talking.
He has a light shade of green skin color and the same dark eyes many Nautolans have.
Instead of just sitting here and not introducing myself, I lean across the small gap between our bunks, and I tap each of their shoulders. Rasana had turned away after a brief smile in my direction, so now I have to get her attention back.
Both of them turn around and look at me.
"Greetings, my name is Ryan Sunrider. Since we'll be neighbors for the next couple of years, I think it's a good idea to get familiar with each other."
My head lowers in a bow as I finish my introduction. Before either of them can say anything, a voice from behind me breaks out. Giving her own introduction.
"And my name is Roka Sedé, it's a pleasure to meet you two."
The Togruta gives a brief wave down at us from her place on the top bunk. The two I'm introducing myself to smile. Bowing their heads in response. They look at one another, and it's decided Rasana will go first.
"My name is Ransana Voréa. I'm a fellow member of the Boma Clan, just like Roka. Since I don't recognize you two from our clan, that means only one thing."
Since my introduction was the first, all our eyes shifted to the Nautolan. He gives a slightly nervous gulp, but he takes a moment and gathers himself.
"I'm Qel-Sriéft of Heliost Clan… I look forward to learning and training with everyone!"
The first half of his introduction is timid and reserved but unhappy with himself. He overcompensates and goes extra loud and excited.
He closes his eyes, fearing laughs might come, but none do. He opens them hesitantly and looks between Rasana and me. Seeing that we won't laugh at him, his head tilts slightly upward, and sees that Roka isn't laughing either.
Seeing that he's not used to this treatment, I lean back and release a relaxed sigh.
"Don't be so nervous, Qel-Sriéft. We're all Younglings here. I'm not sure what's made you so skittish in the past, but I can promise I won't do anything to make you feel awkward or nervous."
I've never been the type. Not in my past life, and it's something I'm taking with me into this one.
"Uh, thanks, Ryan."
From what I've seen, he wasn't picked on or anything by any of our clan members. I think it just might be who he is for the time being. A lack of confidence.
For the next two hours, all four of us talk—about the lessons we learned under our Jedi Fosterers, what it was like in our specific clans, and what we think is in store for us tomorrow. Sadly, our pleasant and easygoing conversation is interrupted.
A slightly taller-than-average Youngling makes a straight shot at us from his large group of clanmates and friends. As he finishes his approach, he folds his arms.
"C'mon Rasana, Roka. Our clan is grouping together. Heliost isn't what I thought it would be, and we should stick together."
I didn't think a 2-year-old could be such an asshole!
Rasana and Roka share a look between each other, but before they're forced to leave. I stand up and face the boy. We're the same height, and I meet his gaze.
"If they don't want to leave, you can't force them."
I never thought I'd be playing schoolyard protector with a bunch of 2-year-olds, but I didn't think I'd get a chance to be reborn in Star Wars, either. The boy takes a step back, embarrassed and confused about why someone is challenging him.
Seems he was the bully, leader, or both of the Boma Clan. In this moment of silent contemplation from him, I use Observe.
Kason Haadé
Race: Human
Level: 2
Health: 100%
Age: 2
Force Potential: High
M-Count: 13,400
Threat Potential: None
Reputation: Neutral
Affiliation Loyalty: Order of the Jedi (100%) Boma Clan (90%) Galactic Republic (55%)
Emotional State: Excited/Eager/Angry
Kason is excited that his Jedi training is advancing and he has a chance to prove how good he is.
He's eager to demonstrate how strong he is.
Kason is angry that he's being challenged by you.
He's got some good potential to be strong, but I don't know where a 2-year-old gets a personality like this… I can only sum it up to genetics and Jedi education advancing his mind. Instead of saying anything in response to my rejection of his order on behalf of Rasana and Roka, he backs off.
That was the first time I had to deal with someone like that in my new life. I sit back down on my bed and take a look at the two I just saved from that little punk.
"Thanks for that…"
Rasana is quick to thank me. I didn't do it for thanks, though.
"Yeah, Kason has always seen himself as the leader and best Youngling in Boma Clan. Now, he's trying to do the same here."
Roka gives me a little background on the kid. Seems that he was the self-appointed leader of the Boma Clan. It's funny since both Roka and Rasana have higher potential than him.
"I'm sure he'll grow out of it. If he doesn't, the Masters will make sure he does."
There is a small laugh at my eager tone at the idea of the Masters reprimanding Kason. It seems the same thought went through the others here. It's fun being a kid again, but a large part of me misses being an adult.
Well, more like the idea of being an adult. My adulting skills back on Earth sucked. For now, I'll keep working on friends. Right now, it seems I've got a good start on a friendship with these guys.
The light shining through the large window of the room pierces through my eyelids, forcing them open. I stare at the bottom of the bunk above me. My mind quickly throws off the fog of waking up from sleep. Yesterday was more fun than I thought it'd be.
I'm glad that the first Younglings I'm befriending are Rasana, Roka, and Qel. However, I'm a bit more excited for today.
Our introduction to our Jedi teachers!
More specifically, the Jedi who'll train us in lightsaber techniques and Force Powers. There is a lot to be excited about today.
I lean up in the bottom bunk and move to the edge of the bed. I run a hand through my short, black hair. My eyes lift from the ground, and all the Younglings are being woken up. The same way that I was, it turns out. The sun is the alarm clock.
"That is one bright ball of fire…"
The voice of Roka comes from above me. I turn my head, looking up as I see her wiping her eyes as she tries to wake up. Once she's got her eyes cleaned, she looks down at me and gives a small smile.
"You're not kidding; back in the toddler rooms, we didn't have sunlight coming through windows bright enough to wake us up."
She nods her head in agreement, and after a few minutes, everyone is up and starting to talk with each other. I spend around 15 minutes talking with the group I've got in the corner of the room. The talks don't last long as the door to the room opens.
This time, it's a Jedi Council member. He looks familiar… He's got a goatee and dark hair, but he has a ponytail that contradicts his young age.
I feel like I've met him before…
"Good morning, Younglings. I'm Jedi Master Syo Bakarn. Today, you'll be introduced to your Jedi teachers and have your first lightsaber lesson. For the next several years, you'll be training every day in the arts of lightsaber combat and Jedi Force techniques."
Syo Bakarn…
Syo… Bakarn…
Oh my God…
OH MY GOD!
I completely forget about him! Shit! Shit! Shiiiiit!
In SWTOR, he was the final villain of the Jedi Consular campaign! He's actually the First Son! An agent for the Emperor at the top of the Jedi Order.
It's strange seeing him so young. He looks 24 or 25, but in the game, you didn't meet him until he was in his mid-40s. Which was why he was balding during the game. He still has his hair here.
Since there are so many Younglings in my direction of the room, I won't have a better chance to use Observe on him. That way, when he feels someone using the Force on him and turns to look over here, he won't know who it is.
Using this golden opportunity, Observe is quickly used on the man.
Syo Bakarn/First Son
Race: Human
Level: 29
Health: 100%
Age: 20
Force Potential: Very High
M-Count: 17,000
Threat Potential: High
Reputation: Neutral
Affiliation Loyalty: Order of the Jedi/Sith (100%) Galactic Republic/Sith Empire (100%)
Emotional State: Curious/Calm/Unaware
Syo Bakarn is curious who used the Force on him for a brief moment.
He's calm and prepared to do his duty to the Jedi Order.
Syo Bakarn is completely unaware of the First Son's mind and personality.
I read the information with bated anticipation, only for Player's Mind to do its thing. His Affiliation Loyalty is 100% for both the Jedi and Sith. As well as the Republic and Sith Empire. The First Son and he are complete opposites.
The Emotional State is what gives it away. Syo Bakarn isn't aware of the First Son. In the end, he's just a victim of the Emporer's plots and planning.
"Now, make sure to follow me. This'll be the first time you're leaving the Crèche and going to the wider Temple. We're heading to the Dojo's, where all Jedi, Younglings to Masters, train their lightsaber forms and implementation of Force abilities during combat."
Despite the sudden and abrupt revealment of a truly powerful villain from the games, I put it on the back burner for now. Soon, every Youngling of Clans Boma and Heliost is following Bakarn out of the Crèche. I have my memories of first arriving here with Satele and seeing parts of the Temple.
However, everyone else is seeing this for the first time that they can remember. Even though I've seen it before, I love the aesthetic and design of the Jedi Temple. It's an amazing work of art. The minds behind giving life to Star Wars structures outdid themselves.
After around 20 minutes of walking and going through multiple elevators, we arrive at the Dojo, where we'll be learning. We would've gotten here faster if it weren't for having to wait for the elevators. You can only pack so many younglings in one at a time.
Bakarn stands by the door as we enter one by one. However, instead of following us inside, he closes the door behind us.
I'm glad that the First Son's unwilling and unknowing puppet won't be in charge of my training. It seems he was only sent to guide us here.
My eyes turn away from the closed door behind us, and there are three Masters standing on the dueling mat on top of the elevated stage. All of them have their hands behind their backs, and their eyes are scanning the group of 24 Younglings.
I'm half tempted to use Observe on them, but I don't think that's necessary like it was with Bakarn. One of them is a face that I recognize, the other two aren't.
After a few moments, the man standing in the middle of the three steps forward. Preparing himself to speak.
"I'm Battlemaster Jun Seros. I'll be in charge of lightsaber training. From today forward, I'll be teaching you everything you need to defend yourself, protect the innocent, and defeat the enemies of the Jedi and Republic."
Jun Seros was the Battlemaster during the times of the Great War and Cold War. I don't know who the Battlemaster was before him. But after, it was the Jedi Knight player.
Aside from him, the other two on either side of him aren't familiar faces to me. Meaning they weren't directly in the games. It's amazing how this new life is showing me the true size of Star Wars. It's a bit humbling, actually.
"To my right is Jedi Master Osarah Chi-han. She'll be in charge of teaching you basic Force techniques that all Jedi Knights and Masters are required to know."
He moves his arm and indicates to the human woman to his right as he introduces her. As he finishes speaking, she bows her head slightly.
"On my left is Jedi Knight Warren Dessix's. He'll be in charge of your education. You'll learn far more about galactic history, Jedi and Sith history, and current politics and powers from him than you ever did during your time as a toddler."
This training is truly several levels above what we learned under the care of our Jedi Fosterers. During those times, the most we did was some basic studies. Learning how to read and write in Basic. Compared to what we'll be doing now, it's totally different.
The male Mirialan bows his head the same way that Master Chi-han did. Jun Seros brings his hands back behind his back now that he's done introducing our teachers.
"From now on, every morning after waking up, you'll immediately start training. After lightsaber and Force training, you'll be guided to one of the Refectories, where you'll have breakfast. After you're finished, you'll be taken to the Archives to begin your lessons under Knight Dessix's."
Wow, I didn't have a clue about what type of training Jedi Younglings did at the Jedi Temple. But not eating breakfast before training lightsaber forms and Force abilities is not what I was expecting.
"You'll be doing this 6 out of 7 days a week. On the 7th day of each week, you'll be given time to rest and commune with the Force."
If this was the true training schedule of Jedi Younglings, it makes so much sense why Jedi are physically overpowered compared to normal people. I'm gonna be undergoing the same type of training. But there is always the possibility the training has changed due to the war.
There isn't a way for me to know since I didn't know what it was before coming to the Star Wars universe. In the end, it's the situation that I have.
"Now that introductions are finished, I want 4 Younglings per mat, and each of you picks up a training saber at one of the many racks beforehand."
Wow! We're really just jumping straight into it. Master Seros indicates to the many training lightsabers around the room, and soon, all of us are moving to the racks. Picking up lightsabers that fit our small hand sizes.
I ascend onto a mat, and Rasana joins me. However, Roka and Qel are on the mat to the side of us. Rasana and I are joined by two other Younglings. Both of them are from the Boma Clan. I don't know who they are, but I'm sure I'll find out.
It's strange; I remember from the games that training sabers weren't actual lightsabers. They were metal rods with bits of light. But since this is the Jedi Temple, they likely have access to training lightsabers. I can only guess that the Temple on Tython didn't have the same access to such devices.
"For today, we'll be starting with Shii-Cho. Until I deem each of you individually ready to move on to more advanced forms, this will be the form you'll be studying. It'll prepare you for enemies or assailants wielding blasters. All Jedi are proficient in the form."
It's nice to know that hasn't changed. However, as we're standing on the training mats in the Dojo, Master Seros pushes a button across the room using the Force. As he does, small droids in the shape of a ball descend from holes in the ceiling.
They're of a similar design and nature to the one Luke used in A New Hope. However, you can tell the difference between the two since they're thousands of years apart.
Once the droid is floating between the four of us on the training mat, Master Seros uses the Force to press a button across the room. As he does, droids rush from openings. All of them are carrying a variant of the shielded helmet Luke used in A New Hope as well.
Once each Youngling has the helmets in their hands, Master Seros prepares to start speaking again.
"These are Marksman Remote droids. And what you have in your arms are Blast Shield helmets. Put them on."
It seems that we're starting off training as any Youngling does. I place mine on my head and hold my training lightsaber in my right hand. Soon, the sounds of everyone doing the same come to an end.
"Alright, now activate your training sabers."
The sounds of the training sabers go off almost all at the same time. It's a pretty unique sound. A whole room filled with that sound.
"From this moment forward, you must use the Force to reflect the stun bolts away from you. That's the only way you can redirect blaster fire with a lightsaber. Shii-Cho is the utilization of using the Force in tandem with lightsaber work."
I find that we're really being thrown to the wolves here. We haven't even been shown the basic movements and velocities of Shii-Cho. How are we supposed to actively train in this?
"Begin."
My thoughts about the jumbled process are put to a halt. Now isn't the time to be focused on anything else. Instead, I immerse myself in the Force and activate Precognition. My FP is slowly draining, but I can feel the Force with me.
All of a sudden, I can feel an incoming stun bolt in the direction of my left leg. I move the blade to deflect the bolt, following the guidance of the Force.
PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!
While I hear four distinct shots come from the Marksman droid, only I redirect one of the shots. Meaning the other three were meant for the other Younglings on the training mat with me.
HISS! TISS! FISSS!
Each of the three on the training mats released grunts of pain as the stun bolts hit them. I'm the only one in my group of four that didn't get tagged.
However, that's not the only thing that's happened.
My helmet is already off as I'm too impatient at this moment to keep it on. After reading the messages, I can't help the smile spreading across my lips.
"Alright, everyone. I want you to remove your helmets."
The voice of Master Seros reverberates out across the room. Everyone obeys, but since mine is already off, I don't have to. I look around and see slight burn marks on the robes of Younglings. From the looks of it, I'm the only one that reflected the blaster bolt.
"If those were live rounds, all of you would be injured or dead."
There is a wave of concern and slight dread at the words of the Battlemaster. As I'm watching him, his eyes scan across all the Younglings. Even across me. Evaluating all of us.
Before saying anything else, he waves his hand, and buttons across the room are pressed. Droids come out and retrieve the helmets, and the Marksman droids return to their holes in the ceiling. Now, it's just us and our training sabers.
"That was a lesson to show you one mistake can cost your life. Even with or without your eyes, only by using the Force can you deflect blaster fire."
So, we're not just jumping into this type of training! He wanted to teach us a valuable lesson. I didn't expect that, but it's not like I know how lightsaber training is done for Younglings.
"Alright, everyone, leave the training mats and join me down here."
Everyone obeys the Battlemaster as we leave the training mats. Walking to the large open area that Master Seros is standing in. He spends the next 5 minutes making sure we're all far enough apart from each other.
Then, he walks back to the front. Igniting his lightsaber.
"All of you do the same. Whenever we're in this formation, it means you must activate your lightsabers and match my movements."
Younglings training sabers ignite once again, making a unique sound. Master Seros turns his back to us. Entering a stance with his lightsaber.
NOTICE:
You're receiving training from a true Shii-Cho Master.
25% increase in Shii-Cho XP gains while training with this Master.
'That's amazing…'
If I'm not mistaken, the interface can help me become one of, if not the most powerful Jedi to ever live… I'm starting to see the true power of the interface.
"Match my movements, Younglings. As I do them, I'll explain what they do and what they are."
Training has truly begun.
My arms and legs are sore as we slowly follow Master Chi-han to a new area. Once inside, she guides us to meditation mats. Tellings us to sit down and relax. She moves to the front of the group of 24 Younglings and sits down on her own mat.
She takes a deep breath and releases. I can sense her sinking into the Force. Closing her eyes as she does.
"I know many of you are tired, sore, and hungry from your first lesson with Master Seros. But now it's time to learn about the Force and begin your training to channel and use it. Today, we'll be starting with a technique called Curato Salva."
I've never heard of that before. I'm glad that we're starting the lesson with a Force Power I've never learned before.
"Curato Salva is an umbrella term for the healing abilities in the Control abilities of Force Powers. Using this power will help you heal from wounds, pain, and fatigue. At advanced levels, you can extend your life span and prevent decay of the body."
Wow, that's an overpowered ability. Something like that could keep a user of the Force alive for a very long time. Maybe even prevent aging. Talk about amazing. This ability is why so many Masters in their 50's, 60's, and 70's don't look like they're that old.
"To use this ability, you must close your eyes and relax your body."
Everyone does as she orders, including me. I close my eyes and relax my body. Feeling the Force flow into my body as I open myself up to it.
"Once you've done this, channel the Force into the areas of your body that hurt."
Not wasting a second, I start channeling the great power of the Force into my knees, elbows, back, and wrists. As the power continues to flow, I feel a tingling.
"Now, as you're doing this. Send your intention to heal into the Force."
As I send my intention and desire to heal these parts of me into the Force. The tingling turns into a comforting warmth. The pain, fatigue, and soreness slowly start going away. I feel parts of my body becoming better.
Force Power Level-Up! X5
Novice 5
NOTICE:
This Force Power can be a path to a type of eternal life.
An actually useful Force Power. It's been a long time since I got anything new, and I'm glad about it. Everything that's happened today in regards to physical training has made me realize something.
Player's Body refers to external damage. Not internal damage.
I've learned a great deal today. After our lessons with Master Dessix's are over, I'm looking forward to getting a break.
Over the course of the next two hours, the only ability we train is Curato Salva.
I crawl into bed as the sunlight from the sunset filters into the room. Orange warmth fills the room. Everyone is in their beds, and some are already asleep.
Instead of going to bed or calling it a day, I want to see the progress I've made with my new skills. The first I want to check is in regards to lightsabers.
'List Lightsaber Forms and Weapon Styles."
Lightsaber Forms
Form I: Shii-Cho
Weapon Styles
Lightsaber [Standard]
Novice 14
Increased XP gained by 2.3% with lightsaber forms using the standard variant.
It's the only lightsaber form I have unlocked, but I'm just so damn giddy to finally see something that actually shows I'm being trained as a Jedi.
I've made tremendous progress with Shii-Cho on my first day, but that's thanks to training under Master Seros. He's giving a 25% XP boost to Shii-Cho learning. As the Battlemaster of the Order, it's expected he's great with a lightsaber.
Aside from these two new skills, I've gained a new Force Power, and one I can see becoming an amazing benefit to me once I have it leveled up.
'List Force Powers.'
I bring up the specific Force Power I want to see.
Curato Salva
Novice 39
The ability to channel the Force into damaged or wounded parts of the body and heal them.
Can be used on others.
At higher levels, can prevent all aging and decay of the body.
Costs 577 FP +22 FP/s
Today has been a great start to my training. Sadly, lessons with Master Dessix's didn't yield any new Skills, but I'm sure after a few weeks or months, I'll start learning about plenty of subjects that I don't know. I'm actually very excited about this new schedule.
While it's considerably harder than anything I did in my old life, it's a process that you love since you're becoming something you always wanted to be.
A Jedi.
I turn my head and look at the bunk across from mine as my interface disappears. I see Qel sleeping on his bed. I don't blame him for going to bed early. We've trained Sunrise to Sunset. And we're doing this 6 days a week.
However, just because I'm not training or learning under one of the Masters doesn't mean I'll stop for the day. My FP is almost completely full, and training Curato Salva some more will only have more benefits.
Even though I feel accomplishment and pride, I know my Jedi training has just started.
I'm taking it head-on.
