This is part one of a two partner. Its way too long, as it is this chapter is 14K words. I love chaos and this chapter is pure chaos. Poor Mac, he is having a very bad day and you only get the beginning of it.

Chapter Nine

(Someone's going to Emergency and Someone's going to jail.)

It was dawn when Johnny O'Brien aka Sean Bryant entered the Morgan penthouse and set down the black coffee on the desk. "Morgan."

The two men looked at one another then had a manly hug from which both quickly pulled back from when an amused voice said "Aw, are we having a group hug?"

"Fuck you, Corelli." Sean said as he glared at the blond. "How come I have to be in charge, and you get to protect Lizbits?"

"Jason likes me more?!" He said as the three men settled down to deal with business. "Okay, Jason care to explain why Elizabeth is going around threatening to shoot you with your own weapon?"

Sean laughed out loud then saw Jason's rueful expression and asked, "Better question is what did Carly and Sonny do?"

Shuddering as Jason filled him in with additional commentary from Francis, Sean let out loud guffaws when he heard about Carly's previous night excursion to Jason's penthouse. "You really didn't know, did you, Morgan?"

"I truly wish I didn't know now." He admitted while shaking his head in disgust. "When I told her that all those years ago about her breaking me, I meant it in a bad way, not because I loved her and couldn't be with her because of that. I meant that she would break me with the push and pull she would have done with Michael, not her. My god, she is delusional."

"She is going to have to be dealt with." Francis said. "But while she is an issue, first we need to deal with the claim from the families of your dishonor. That means being honest with Liz, just maybe without a gun anywhere nearby."

Jason hung his head for a few minutes, then a slight smile came to his lips as he admitted. "I know but Maximus is determined to play matchmaker. I don't know what do to about that."

"Most people don't realize that the man is an overbearing yenta. He could give your grandfather lessons in being an overbearing father figure. The difference is that Edward is all about his family, Maximus is all about THE FAMILIA. After the summer and fall you spent in Italy recovering from your broken heart when Lizbits felt she owed the Spencers, you have been added to that list. So, for now, go with the flow just don't tell Liz that you were married to her back then, she will be torn up with guilt so be honest but play the hand in the game that Maximus has dealt you."

Jason nodded, he had an idea of how to do that, but it would have to wait, Elizabeth was intending on helping her grams with her final packing. "So, on to less pleasant topics."

"Like why I have to be in charge in Crimson Point?" growled Johnny. "Corelli?"

"You needed to be public, so that Corinthos couldn't stab you in the back, my being here is under the waterline. Sonny knows that I have been assigned to Elizabeth, but he believes that I am still loyal to him. So, for now, he will stay out of it." Francis explained then asked, "What is your opinion of the kid?"

Johnny picked up his coffee to take a sip and to think on the question. "Kid really doesn't want anything to do with the business. Is hung up on the younger Jones girl which I find a surprise, she seems to be so serious, and so against our world, I fear that they are going to have issues at some point."

"She also has a secret." Francis said with a smug grin. When he saw the other two looking at him as if waiting for him to spill, he said "Fifty thousand dollars to your favorite charity if you figure it out before the week is out."

"Speaking of secrets. That tech guy, Marco dumped him in nearby Hays Landing but after a forty eight hour stay in the secure ward, he was let go. We need a more permanent solution." Francis added. "I have an idea, but I am worried because it might put Maxie Jones at risk."

As they touched on things, from Luke Spencer to Helena Cassadine, Jason felt a sense of relief as for once business discussions weren't predicated on bar ware being thrown, and insane orders being given. "We might need to go against the Cassadine woman but for now, just watch over her. I want to know the real reason she is in town."

"Spent some time at Kelly's yesterday, Bobbie seems to be doing well, but with Luke in a coma, she is going to need money because he owns half that business." Johnny stated. "I am doing some research, Jason I wonder how you would feel about going to her to offer to buy his old blues club and Kelly's."

"Why?" Francis asked.

"We wanted to start buying up land, and the blues club is a rats nest and we need to have it searched thoroughly before bull dozing it." Sean reported. "She is going to need to sell it to someone and then there is the fact that Spencer's estate is going to be held responsible for dredging that rust bucket."

"I will talk to her, feel her out so that when she runs out of options, she will come to me." Jason said then asked Francis what he had found out about Sam.

Chortling, the blond Italian told him. "From what I have heard, Elizabeth and you broke her."

Shaking his head in annoyance, Jason asked "Is she a threat to Elizabeth and or Cameron?"

"No, she blamed Lansing,Courtney, and Spencer plus Carly. Thinks that their 'lies' are why this happened. She tried to slip into the hotel to get to Carly but thanks to Jacks disliking her, she couldn't get past the lobby. Then she went after Lansing and they have her dead to rights. No one will help with her mental issues and from the sounds of it, she is bound for a locked-up state version of Shadybrook."

Elizabeth heard a soft knock on her door and then seeing Steven asked, "Why are you avoiding Emily?"

The blond man entered and replied. "I'm not. We have just been on different shifts and well, we both discussed taking it slow. I don't want to push her into a relationship when things only ended with Cassadine earlier this year."

"If you don't push her soon, she is going to throw you over for myself or Georgie." Elizabeth warned him with a giggle as she told him what Emily had asked both women.

Steven laughed and said, "I will do my best to remind her that she wants me and only me, but I really, really want to hear about what she is thinking about in regard to those offers."

"I don't want to know." She said then heading into Cameron's bedroom, she gave her son a soft kiss then went to knock on the bathroom door to let Georgie know that she was leaving. "I will meet you at Kelly's around two."

Jasper Jacks was curious as to how Carly's evening had gone and who she had told the truth to, even if it had only been herself in the mirror, but he knew he needed to be patient, play the long game so that he could do this without exposing his parent's secret. Looking at his morning occupancy numbers and then looking at emails from his other businesses, he found himself wishing that Jerry didn't take shortcuts, because this was too much work for him to be doing on his own.

When his father had first passed, he had had no choice, but now, he knew that his mother was enjoying her foray into the business world again, but from the way she had been hinting, he knew that the woman wanted him to settle down and raise a family. She had tried to be pleasant to Courtney but had admitted to him when they had ended that she knew that they were heading towards divorce because Courtney was looking for a hero, someone to save her from herself, while Jax was looking for someone to rescue just like what had happened with Brenda but Courtney was no damsel in distress and Jax was no hero.

Carrying the untainted water bottle as he exited the hotel offices and towards the main lobby. Seeing Dante exiting with his mother, while Kate seemed to be talking to someone on the phone then looking pissed off. When the dark-haired young man had hugged his mother yet again before with a careless grin, he picked up his backpack and said "Mom, maybe you should stay here."

"I am definitely taking you to the airport." She said with a growl.

"No, that isn't what I meant. You were talking about not wanting to return to Bensonhurst, maybe you should stay here, in Port Charles." He said, "Aunt Kate and you both said you liked it yesterday. So why not stay."

Jax had a thought then looking at Olivia told her. "Actually, I was just thinking that I needed to hire someone to help with things. I wouldn't suggest Port Charles, at least as long as Carly is in the hotel, but I do have other properties including southern ones if you would prefer warmer weather."

Olivia thought about it then recalled why that wasn't a good idea, the whole reason that Kate and she had talked Dante into heading to Europe a few weeks early. Sonny Corinthos had some connection to Port Charles, and she wasn't going to risk Dante running into the man.

"Jax, while I wouldn't want to remain in Port Charles, I would love a chance to talk to you about one of your other properties." Olivia said then exited the hotel along with her son as they took the offered limo to the airport.

"Warren, its your decision, but you will regret it." Kate snapped as she hung up on her now former boss. Looking at Jax, she asked "Have you seen the Journal. I supposedly resigned from Couture, unexpectedly to try my hand at something new."

"And we both know that isn't true." He said as they walked towards his private office. Once inside, he asked what was going on.

"Trevor Lansing, and his former connections to my boss, and apparently my boss's new young mistress who feels that she deserves my position as editor of Couture." She told him. "She has blackmail pictures, Warren admitted it. She is threatening to send them to his wife. If he had given me a chance, I would have helped him, but as of right now, I am going to use this time as a vacation, I figure it will take three issues without me at the head to get my old position back so around Valentine's day."

"What are you going to do in the meantime." He asked.

"Build up my brand. That young woman, Ms Jones is what gave me the idea plus Giselle, has no connections to the designers and photographers that I have spent years building a relationship with. My nephew suggested that I create a blog and a You Tube presence. Change things up a bit. I do have one issue that is going to need to be dealt with if I stay."

"Anything I can do to help?" He asked.

"Only with finding a place to live. A penthouse with a couple of bedrooms, three or four because I need room for Olivia and Dante to stay when they visit." She said her mind still on things then said "And maybe an old estate, one I can fix up and use as my reason to blog. Yes, I like that idea. I am glad you asked me to speak to your young friend, that should give me some idea of where to go with this."

Jax knew that look on Kate's face and with an offer to help, he went off to deal with his partner who for some reason wasn't there that morning.

Kate's mind was running as fast as she could think. She was angry with Warren and knew that his wife would be even angrier so, she decided to bide her time, and to ensure that when the time came, she would gracefully step back into her former job, but for now, she was going to use this time to deal with a few things discreetly, but she was also going to concentrate on building her brand on several different multi media platforms.

Making a call to a real estate agent she knew, she promised a list of every single local property that met her requirements. Kate had been surprised to find out that there were several early nineteen hundred estates available in the nearby area.

Heading back to her suite, she escaped just in time as Carly was entering the hotel with her ex-husband who had asked to speak to her. The two were now on the restaurant terrace, with it being too late for the breakfast crowd and too early for lunch, Carly was feeling a sense of relief, certain that Sonny was coming to apologize to her and who knows she might allow him to convince her to move back in with him. She had overextended on the hotel, even with Jax being blackmailed into letting her purchase half, she had still been forced to put up some funds.

Carly had thought that by now, she would have Sonny back at her back and the money tap turned back on. "Sonny, what is going on? I haven't heard from Courtney since that day in Kelly's."

"Courtney is on the island until she gives birth. Tracy Quartermaine is determined to get a blood sample as soon as possible with Spencer in rehab, I need to get them both to back off."

"Jason would help..." She began to say only for Sonny to guide her into a nearby chair and she said "You know how he feels about..."

"Carly, shut up." He said then seeing her anger told her. "For now, we are going to be doing this my way. I have a plan, and I don't need your help. If you want Courtney back with Jason, sit this one out. I also need a favor from you. I have to attend a wedding in Italy, it's at the Giambetti compound and it's for one of his daughters."

"I would love to attend." She said thinking that she would be able to get at least a half a million out of him.

"My invite is to me and my sons." He admitted. "Maximus specifically stated you weren't to attend. Out of respect for Max's new wife. She is rather jealous of the time he spent with you, we know that he was only working but-"

With a shrug, he said "Now, the wedding is to be a weekend event and then only those with children are to remain. So I was thinking I would take Morgan, he is the same age as Maximus oldest grandchild. Michael if he wants to attend as well."

Sonny could see that Carly was thinking what could she get for that then when Sonny said that he was concerned about customs and offered to take sole custody of their youngest. "When we get back, I would naturally return joint custody to you."

"I need to call in that favor. I am short funds. A million would help for being allowed to take Morgan, I am not so sure that Michael will want to attend." Carly knew that Sonny would need Michael and while she was willing to risk custody of Morgan, she was not going to risk it for Michael, even with her other plan to marry Jax if she had no other choice still in play, he was going to have to offer a hell of a lot more money before she was willing to risk her first connection to Jason.

Sonny felt rage, he had been planning on using this to get permanent custody but this, this selling of their son, he said "What about Michael. It would look a bit off it I had custody of only one of our children? I am thinking that we could spend some time at Euro Disney before school is back in session."

Seeing Carly hesitating, Sonny felt his rage grow as he struggled to conceal it then to his shock, she increased the price to five million. "Fine, I will have my new attorney draw up the paperwork."

An hour later, Carly was told that the a million was in the bank as she handed the signed paperwork giving Sonny sole custody of their sons and that she would get the remaining money if Michael attended. Sonny had deliberately had the attorney state exactly what was going on. When they had left the hotel, he made a call and asked Marco to go find out where the boys were with their grandmother Bobbie.

"Mr. Corinthos, you do know that what she just signed isn't exactly legal." His new attorney said.

"I already have joint custody which would have been legal to take the boys to Europe with me, this was getting Carly to sign that she knew I was doing so, and for her to sign that she willingly sold our sons for money." He replied, his anger now cold. He was going to keep the boys and his ex wife had just signed papers for her own destruction. "Carly was to get the funds on Friday evening, the boys and I are leaving town in the morning, don't pay her more than the million."

Jason was getting off his motorcycle when he heard Elizabeth and Emily talking. Walking towards the two, he saw that they were carrying milkshakes as they crossed the path to the park. "Emily, Elizabeth."

"Jason." Elizabeth said glaring at him then looking over at Emily thought about what they had talked about and said "Do you have time to talk today? "

"If you are free, I am free for the rest of the day."

He said and when she looked at his sister then at his bike said "Could you meet me at my grams house? I have to go pick Cam up at two at Kelly's."

"Before I agree, do you have a gun hidden there. From what I have heard, Cameron might be our only child if you get a hold of one." He said and then seeing her rolling her eyes, he smiled and said, "We need to talk about premeditation."

"Now, you sound like Georgie." She said with a slight laugh then with a wave at Emily followed Jason across downtown and they were soon in the great room of the stone house on Maple Ave. "Grams left for her new place in Arizona. We supervised as Steven and a few movers loaded everything up. She left about ten with Gail Baldwin."

Seeing him looking around at all the furniture still in the house, she said "Grams is keeping this place. Its been in the family for over a hundred years. She has put Steven and myself in charge of things."

Once they were seated, he said "I don't know where to start."

"Why don't you tell me first, when you remember and why you didn't say anything." She gently suggested.

Nodding, he looked at her and said "When Asher gave me those drugs, I didn't have any memories, but more echoes of memories. Its why I clung to Sam, everyone told me that what I was feeling was about her. I more believed than knew that the thoughts and memories, that they were just out of my reach."

He then sighed and told her "I kept feeling as if she had left me before, that the person I loved had left me. It didn't fit with Sam, Carly and everyone telling me how much I loved her, I listened. Then when I got my memories back, it felt off, but I didn't know why then one night..."

Jason stopped talking and then told her. "Sam was talking about her daughter, and how I supposedly felt about her. Yet, I knew that she was wrong but felt guilty because I believed that at one point, I had held those feelings, more echos is the best way to describe it."

He then looked at Elizabeth. "I don't know why, but for some reason, you never crossed paths with me while I was missing my memories. I saw you one day, at Kelly's. It looked as if you were arguing with Lucky, and I ended up back at the penthouse having a terrible migraine. I didn't remember yet, but I knew that there was something that I was missing."

Jason went silent yet again then told her. "When Carly caused your miscarriage, it all came back. But the part that worried me was that I knew I had gained memories that I had lost for some reason. And that I didn't know when I lost them also worried me."

"I don't understand." She softly said. "What do you mean, you lost them."

"Elizabeth, I regained memories that I have clearly when we were together in your studio after the accident, but I know that by the time of the fire in the old hotel, I didn't recall that you and I had spent the night together."

Holding her breath, Elizabeth exhaled and asked, "What do you think happened?"

"I don't know." He said as honestly and openly as he could. "What I did do was go to my memory box and found this."

Elizabeth took the note with the name Jason on it. "Jason, this isn't my handwriting."

Unfolding it, she saw the note inside and said "But this is. I don't remember writing this, Jason."

"Elizabeth, it was on my birthday, Carly had insisted on holding a party, I didn't want to be there, but she said something about Michael, and I didn't even hear what she said but it made me realize that I had to go and look into something."

Seeing her confusion, he said "I have been at the Quartermaine mansion in Lila's room so often over the years and with my brain issues, photos don't always come through clearly, but this one I have seen several times over the years. Its a photo of two little kids, playing with some puppies."

Pulling out the second item he had, he silently handed it to her. Elizabeth saw the dark-haired boy who was being licked and laughing as his eyes were shining brightly and the little girl who was pouting with her arms crossed as she stood nearby. "Jason, this looks like Cam."

"Yes, and that is Alan and Tracy." He said. "Carly was going on and on how Michael looks like me, I was looking at him and saw Bobbie in him and even Lucky but not myself. Not AJ. But the picture of Alan as a toddler came flashing into my head because Grandmother once told me that when she looks at him, that is what always flashes into her head, that mischievous smile, the same smile she told me that he got from his own father and the one she used to see on Jason Quartermaine."

Jason softly told her. "I denied, swore I had nothing in common with that old man, but she said that when Jason Morgan was born, she didn't see that smile any more and that that was a shame. Now, seeing Cam, with that same smile..."

Seeing the tears in his eyes, Elizabeth felt her own eyes watering up as he told her. "I knew that I had to be careful, and I ran the tests. When it confirmed that Cam was my son, it was four weeks, before the virus scare. I didn't know how to ask or if I had any right to ask. Elizabeth, you read the letter, I didn't want to step away but I believed that no one knew and I didn't know what you knew."

"Jason, you should have asked me." She gently replied. "I get that I might not have believed it, I didn't believe it until Georgie told me about seeing us, but all you had to do was tell me that you wanted to run a test, I would not have denied you."

"I just..." Jason took a deep breath and told he. "I was once again in the same situation, in love with you and living with another woman. I wasn't sure that you would trust me. Plus, Sam was a threat. She was obsessed with marrying me and then having a child."

"We can pick them, can't we." She said with a shake of her head. "Lucky and Ric for me, Sam, Carly and Courtney for you."

The two sat side by side thinking on the past and then Jason told her. "I heard about your canceling your wedding to Lucky. I tried to come and talk to you but Carly kept interfering. Now, oh, I need to tell you about last evening."

Elizabeth's jaw dropped As Jason filled her in on the previous night's bout of honesty from Carly, she had long believed that that was how Carly felt about Jason and having it confirmed still shocked her. "What did you do? After she passed out?"

"Took her home and dumped her on her sofa." he said. "I have been avoiding Carly, and I think that is what created this desire to be so honest, too bad for her, all her truthfulness did was sicken me. Especially about poor Morgan. That boy has been given the short shift for years."

"Still, it's been years, why would Carly lose that sort of self-control." Elizabeth asked confused as to what had caused the blond to lose control like that.

"I spent the drive to her place thinking on it but decided that it was her problem. She isn't a threat to the business or myself, so I am staying out of it." He said, "Do you know if Georgie has told anyone about what she saw?"

"Well, the Classic Tuesday Movie buffs know, which is Kelly Lee, Lainey Winters, Emily, Robin and the Jones girls." She said, "None of them will say anything but I don't want to rely on Maxie Jones keeping it a secret."

"I don't want to keep it a secret." He told her then filled her in on what Manny Ruiz had told him. "So, Mike told Luke, I don't know who he told or didn't tell. Sonny knows I think." He admitted. "I just wish that the Ruiz family didn't know. I don't like how they are involved."

Her eyes went wide and said "I know the answer to that one. Grams was an air stewardess back when they were nurses. She served with a woman named Serafina who married..."

"Hector Ruiz father of Javier Senior." Jason said. "Wow."

"Yes, turns out that he has kept an eye on grams in honor of his mother." She then filled him in Mrs Peabody's painted man and the dead body she claimed had been stored in her freezer.

"That fits in as well." He told her. "Max was shot near your house. He was keeping an eye on you for his father who felt that Sonny was a loose cannon. He said that someone shot Alcazar's man and himself. Manny Ruiz claimed it was one of Lansing's people."

"The same Max that has a crush on Carly?" She asked sounding skeptical.

"Max isn't quite the fool that most make him out to be." He said with a sigh. "He was caught in a very tight situation because he betrayed Sonny a few years ago along with a couple other of a guards and myself."

"Johnny O'Brien?" She asked. Seeing his shock, she told him. "Francis when he left town, told me he had to get an old friend to safety. And Johnny when missing at the same time."

"Once again Sonny was out of control. I had to scramble to fix things." He said, "You should know that they are-"

"Back home." She said with a giggle and told him. "Emily heard Johnny's voice near Kelly's and I thought I saw Francis following me the other day in the grocery store."

Shaking his head, he said "Johnny is now Sean, Sean Bryant, he took over the territory that Ric's father ran for the Zacchara family. He was Maximus second in command, and Francis trained all the guards, basically as his head of security in Italy."

"Jason, why are they here?"

"To help me, to help us, if you want a chance for there to be an us." He said then with a sideways look, he told her. "I mean what I said that night in the penthouse. I won't walk away, and if you do, I am chasing you and if I have to, I will kidnap you. I love you, Elizabeth Webber and I don't want to live like we have for the last few years ever again."

"We need to take it slow, Jason." She said. "Mainly for Cam, and I have some news that I need to share."

"You're pregnant." He said with a slight smile and seeing her eyes narrowing, he told her. "O'Brien guessed. He said that you were glowing, that the inner light you seemed to have when pregnant with Cam was there. I wasn't sure if you knew, but was going to ask, again."

"Things are going to have to be different, Jason. My blood pressure was high with Cam, I can't risk that, again." She told him. Jason pulled her into his arms, the way he gently pressed a kiss to her lips, then her heart stopped as he told her that he was happy about the baby.

"I have an idea, but so did Maximus Giambetti. I called in a marker, but he didn't do what I asked, instead he came up with his own plan. One that he created to deal with Sonny and others from our world. The issue is that Carly is going to go crazy. At least Sam won't be a threat. She hadn't been right since the night at my penthouse."

"I heard that she is in Shadybrook, criminal wing. What about Courtney?" Elizabeth asked amazed at how calm Jason was taking the news about her pregnancy. She could see the light in his eyes and that he was happy but she had truly expected another bout of being told that he had to stay away for her safety.

"Sonny has her on the island, and he has his own interpretation of Maximus' plan, but I am going to scotch that one too. Anyhow, know that I didn't do this. I wanted it to happen, but now, with us together, but Maximus felt that this would protect you better and Sonny's plan involved Lucky."

Elizabeth saw the expensive paper and opened it and read what it said. "Jason, wait, we were married? There is no way that I would forget marrying you, none."

"No." He said regretfully. "Maximus arranged for it by making a deal with Father Coates, who readily agreed telling Maximus that he couldn't violate the sanctity of confession but that this was the right way to do things. That was all he had to say and then Maximus set up the paper trail."

Seeing her surprise, he said "Maximus is very good at being the BOSS, but he has one weakness, he likes to match make. Francis calls him a yenta. He also loathes Carly, thinks she is a social climber who hasn't shaken the dirt of the trailer park from her feet. Its what he told Sonny one time when she disrespected several of the wives of people with more seniority than Sonny."

Elizabeth asked, "What do you want to do and how do we do this?"

"We need to be married, I am willing to show this to others, but I want to know that you really are my wife." He said softly as he enfolded her hands into his. "Father Mateo is willing to marry us for real, I have a license, thanks to my new attorney. I know that you love your apartment and it is relatively safe but small. I would like to find us a new place, one that we can start afresh."

"Jason, is it really necessary, us being married." She asked then seeing his fear, admitted "I just want time with just us, before the entire world begins to interfere.

"For the families, yes." He was completely honest as he told her. "Due to obeying Sonny and the mess with Carly, Courtney, Ric and a few other things that Sonny has been doing. We have lost honor. I want to marry you for myself, and Maximus wanted me to tell you that we were really married, but I don't want to start our life off with a lie, especially since technically we are officially married."

Elizabeth sat there, thinking and Jason let her, knowing that what he was asking was going to greatly impact her life and the life of their son, their children. "Jason, I want to keep working. I love being a nurse, making a difference."

"Its not optimum but with most of the families, the wives have their own careers, their own lives, they don't..." Flushing, he added "Carly didn't get that, she really didn't. Ironically if Sonny had married Alexis, before she was DA, they would have approved of her."

"One more thing." She bit her lip then told him. "Monica regularly babysits Cam, and Alan has sort of stepped into the role of Grandfather to most of the kids in Daycare. He often goes down and reads to them. Cam loves them and they love Cam, and my parents, they aren't exactly the soft and cuddly grandparents. They are more the sort to write checks and hire people to solve problems. I won't take how Monica and Alan and even Alice way from Cam or Cam from them."

Jason looked at Elizabeth then told her. "I know about some of that, from Emily. I am not sure how I feel about it, but I know that Cam and they are close. I wouldn't do anything that would harm Cam's love for them. Plus, the last eight months, with how hard it has been to watch Cam from afar, knowing that he was my son and that I couldn't hug him or even help him... I get what Alan felt. What Monica felt. I am not sure where we go from here, but I want you to know, I am going to try and talk to my father, but Edward,-"

"I already warned Emily, the first time he uses the word heir or talks about ELQ with Cam, I am going to burn his building down." She fiercely stated.

"Elizabeth, we really need to talk about premeditation." He said bursting into laughter at her glare. "So, it's almost time to go get Cam, do you mind if we go with you?"

Elizabeth was surprised because normally Jason would have had to run out, and deal with everyone else's emergencies, but she knew that he was trying so she was going to do so as well.

"Whose we?" She asked only to see Jason pointing to the door. "Francis?"

"Francis." He confirmed then said "After lunch, I think we need to talk to Monica and Alan, do you want to tell them about our baby? I want to tell them."

Elizabeth went still then looking at Jason told him. "I will let Grams know tonight, she already suspects, and remind me when we have more time to tell you about her reaction to what happened the night that the police saw us together."

With a giggle, Elizabeth exited the house, was pulled into a hug by the man standing there before being told that he would drive her car over, that for now, Jason and she had to take one of the sturdier SUV's rather than her Toyota Sienna. "We will talk later, Lizbits."

Gathering Cam and thanking Georgie who refused payment, with a snicker as she handed Cam the bag from the toy store. "Georgie, that had better not be what I think it is!" Elizabeth whispered annoyed with the young girl with the wide grin on her face.

"If you think that it is a Chugging Charlie toy, you would be right." She said then when Elizabeth and Jason had entered Kelly's with the blond holding the young boy's hand as he told him all about his day. Georgie ducked behind the counter and holding up a serving tray, said "And it just might be one that he has to put together with Legos."

"Georgie Jones, I am going to s-m-a-c-k you." Elizabeth threatened and that glare turned towards Jason when he started to say the word premeditation. "Just for that, you are 'helping' him put it together."

Seeing how thrilled he looked, Elizabeth threw her hands up and ordered for Cam, Jason and herself then went to seat her son and Jason while muttering under her breath about how she had been keeping Legos away, but no, no one would listen to her.

Jason ducked his head, amused at this side of Elizabeth and the way that Georgie Jones seemed to be completely ignoring the threats coming from her friend. Hearing the ding of the bell, he saw Robin and one of Elizabeth's other friends entering as Robin seemed to be very angry. "Robin?"

The short dark haired doctor hugged Cam, waved at Jason, gave Georgie their order then pulled Elizabeth to the side. "Do you remember Lainey's hottie from the gym. He is a bounty hunter, from Jersey. Seems as if he is helping another bounty hunter out of Jersey. They are looking for a tall blond woman, middle aged who robbed a casino by playing poker with fake money. I uh, had a run in with Janine. Literally ran into her."

Seeing Elizabeth looking confused, Robin said with a growl. They arrested Courtney's mother, but that isn't why I need your help. Somehow, while they were arguing in the chapel and apparently using a pretend marriage to get close to the woman, Patrick and I got pulled in to be witnesses."

"If it's a pretend..." Elizabeth started to say until she saw the ring that was too large for Robin's finger being held on the tip of her index finger.

"Somehow, the new priest was confused and next thing I knew, I was Mrs Doctor Patrick Drake." She said scowling when Elizabeth burst into laughter. "Laugh it up, they had a blank wedding license, and its legal. I am going to kill him, and then this new priest and maybe just maybe Emily because she announced it to the whole hospital that Patrick and I are married."

Elizabeth was laughing so hard that when Georgie put her food down on the table, she could only hug Robin and say. "Things will work out. Just take a deep breath and count to ten."

"I am married to the playboy of General Hospital and I don't even know how it happened." She wailed only for all color to drain from her face as she looked at the doorway where her Uncle Mac was looking at her like she was insane. Who knows, maybe she was. "I can explain."

Shaking his head, he told her. "That isn't even the worst shock of my day. At least Drake and you are about the same age. No, if you will excuse me, I need to talk to Bobbie, but I expect Drake and yourself at the house for dinner tonight, no excuses, because you have a lot to explain."

Elizabeth gave Mac a sympathetic smile as the man walked away muttering about there being something in the water as he walked over to the residential side of the diner and to the office where she knew that Bobbie often spent her time.

Robin took her to go order, told Cam that she would see him later, then glared at a smirking Jason who had heard the news that Robin had announced and dragged Kelly Lee out the door, not happy with the woman who was acting as if this was a real marriage. "Let me see what I can research in regards to carrying a child to term with HIV!"

They all heard Robin shouting Kelly's name as Georgie looked at Elizabeth then said, "I feel sorry for Patrick, she is going to make his life hell."

With a giggle, Georgie told her "Kelly said that when Patrick found out that the wedding was real, he told her that they weren't getting a divorce, and she said that they could get an annulment. Patrick told Robin to give him a week and she won't be able to imagine living without him. Thankfully at that point, Emily was talking to them and she decided to play a prank on her but she accidentally did press the intercom button and now the whole hospital knows."

"How do you think your dad is going to react?" Elizabeth asked then leaning in told her that they needed another get together. "I have some news to report."

"Hey, I see how Jason is looking at you, half with want and half with joy, so my guess is you told him." She said then hearing the bell chime told her. "Got to get back to work."

As Elizabeth joined Jason and Cam, they watched as Bobbie and Mac suddenly exited the diner, "I wonder what that is about?"

Cam was thrilled as his mommy allowed him to have a sip of her iced tea while waiting for her to finish her meal. He liked this Jason man, he played with him at Auntie Em's, when Mommy had to work, so he sat there between the two of them, liking that they were taking him to visit Miss Ally, she gave him the best cookies.

Bobbie sat there in the hospital, her mind reeling from all that she had learned that day. Looking at Luke, she told him. "We have big problems, I have Carly problems, but you, your problems are bleeding over into my problems. The Haunted Star sank two days ago and oil is leaking from the boat. Your estate is being ordered to pay for its cleanup. But Tracy is correct saying that it was your own business, so she won't do it. You don't have any assets and this stay is going to cost a fortune."

With a sigh, she told him. "Nik isn't here, he left town because Helena threatened his new wife. I hate to do, but you don't really have any assets other than the land that the blues club is on and your half of Kelly's. I talked to the bank, they won't lend me any money on the club, even if I had your power of attorney. Alexis is working on getting me that, with Lucky in rehab and Lulu being considered too young, we are going to do our best, but without the funds, you are going to end up at County and the city is going to sue you to be reimbursed from the salvage operations. And thankfully the way that Kelly's ownership is set up, I can sell it."

"Aunt Bobbie, no!" Lulu said entering with Dillon to visit with her father. Hearing what she had to say, Lulu's eyes went wide as she talked Dillon into going with her to the gambling boat, horrified to see that it was true.

Kate Howard was glad that she had pulled up everything she could think of on this Sophie le Coeur from James Publishing before 'resigning' from Couture. Thankfully, she had already been looking into this and had called in a favor from a friend who specialized in financial institutions. Hearing Olivia on the phone to an old friend who she worked with, Kate hoped that her cousin would actually that the offer from Jax who had suggested she work for his company.

It was almost ten when she got the call from the front desk with the message that Maxie Jones who she had asked to be her shopper today had called in to work. A bit disappointed because she had made a point of saying she would be shopping for her. Kate couldn't help wondering if the young girl was no longer interested in her now that she was no longer at Couture.

Looking through the printed info, all she had was a bank routing number from which 10 percent of the funds went to a local bank. The other ninety was the part that she found interesting. Calling Randall, she asked him about the splits. "Okay, so, originally the ninety percent goes into one fund, which was repeatedly washed by someone who is very good at doing so, its untraceable now that the accounts have been shut down, at least the ones I can track."

"Now, the ninety percent is split in half, with half going into a American Express account that splits it yet again into 9 accounts equally 5 percent of the funds. Most of that goes into retirement accounts, and some that are washed yet again. There are five retirement accounts. Four of the accounts seem to purchase stocks, all ironically local or Australian companies, plus one oddball company out of Texas which I can't find any rhyme or reason for it to be purchased. That is the majority of what I came up with.

"The remaining 45 percent is just floating out there, it appears and disappears but the part I find odd with this, is that like the others fund, state and federal income taxes are paid but I can't find out who for. Its got a corporate ID tax number but even with a deep dive I can't find out who is the owner. The corporation was established in 1982, with its supposed address is a club that has been closed since the nineties but that has a PO Box still in operation."

"This club is the only local connection?" She asked.

"Yes, I did get a copy of its ABCA license and sent it to you in an email." He said. "Now, the contract you have, it shows that the contract is between this corporation and James Publishing for stories to be published by an author whose pen name is Sophie le Couer. James Publishing keeps its original it a safety deposit box."

"Thank you, Randall." She said as she hung up then went to look at the dates. The first book was published two years ago, so that meant it more than likely went to the publisher about 2003. Circling that date, she added it to the information she had then made a call to her lawyer who told her that ABCA licenses were public records.

Going downstairs to pick-up the nondescript rental car that she had requested, Kate pulled out the google maps directions she had printed and went to the address of this club. Seeing the slowly fading sign with the name of the Outback, and Kate had an idea that had her giggling.

Trying to call Jax, ask him if he was secretly writing romance novels, she was about to hang up when she had an idea and pulled over onto the parking lot. Making some notes, she was soon in the Port Charles Hall of Records and found out that the Outback had belonged to a Felicia Jones and a Malcolm Scorpio.

An hour later, having done some research in the old newspapers at the local library and then back at the hotel online, she had a few names two of which were in the center of the Venn diagram. The same two that had owned the outback. Doing some research on Goggle and looking into the couple, she wondered if this Felicia had written the books.

Her romantic history certainly was exciting enough, but when Kate looked into her history, she saw that she was helping her grandmother save an old horse ranch and working as a private investigator. It explained the authenticity of the police procedure, but Kate found it hard to label the woman as the writer.

However, the only other likely candidate was her 2nd ex-husband, which Kate found hard to accept yet... the writer seemed determined to keep who they were quiet. A police commissioner as the best-selling romance novelist, yet she could see why he would keep that quiet.

She had looked through the timeline and the man had been in the hospital recovering from being shot and caught in a fire, so he had had the downtime, but... and that was the part she had trouble reconciling, there was no doubt in her mind that the romance scenes had been written by a woman. And other than his ex-wife there didn't appear to be a woman in the man's life.

Looking at the time, she thought about what she had told a contact at the New York Daily News and knew that she was going to be pressed for time as she sat down and wrote out her first blog which she was going to use to cover for her 'resignation' and her announcement of her plans for her new career.

Deleting everything on the page by highlighting and cutting, Kate missed the bottom line that she had written in red, the one that announced her investigation into the truth of who Sophie le Couer was, a highlighted statement written in purple with the words:

Sophie le Couer =Malcolm Scorpio

Double checking her statement, she saw the last words she had typed which informed the readers of her magazine and those who followed her for fashion advise, Kate signed off, missing the very last line... the one that was going to cause a firestorm in New York City and beyond... as she hit send and her blog went to the fashion editor of every single newspaper in New York, London, Paris and Milan and to the millions of readers of Couture magazine who were eager acolytes of the fashion guru.

Bobbie sat there, silently reliving her morning, the visit with Carly at the hotel, what he daughter had told her when she had asked if she could help with things, and the terrible response she had given. When she had spoken to Sonny and told how her daughter had sold sole custody to Sonny for a million dollars had the red head, dearly wishing that she could go back twelve years ago and to a time when she didn't know that Carly was her child.

"How are you doing?" Looking up at Monica, Bobbie felt numb as she filled her in on the latest about Luke, keeping what Carly had said to herself, still not ready to believe what she had heard her saying.

"I'm getting by. Sonny got Lucky to attend rehab, thank god." She said with a halfhearted attempt at a smile. "Nik is in Greece, he invited me to come, but I couldn't abandon Luke, or Carly and her boys. Though, Sonny is taking them on a trip for a few weeks. Lulu seems to be dealing with her miscarriage, but I am concerned about her, I asked her about going back to college this fall, she says she doesn't intend to. She is going to ask Carly for a job at the hotel."

"If you need me, I am only a phone call away." Monica said walking away, knowing that Bobbie was dealing with things the best way she knew how, but without Tony there, she was all on her own. Her ex-husband and she were divorced but they had found their old friendship back, giving her the emotional support she should have gotten from Carly and her family.

Jax was sitting at the desk, doing work on his laptop, his eyes scornful as they kept an eye on Carly who was seated as far away from him as she could be. She had tried to trick him into marriage, but had been bested by someone who hated her. Jax's eyes then went to his 'wife'. That had him letting out a quiet chuckle. Well, she would end up a widow before long, because he knew that Mac was going to kill him, even when they told him the truth, that it wasn't his fault.

For such a petite young woman, Maxie Jones was strong willed and until today, he had no idea how much she disliked Carly. That it went back years, all the way to her childhood and Carly's affair with her Uncle. When she had read the riot act to the woman, after accidentally drinking the tainted water, Jax had almost felt sorry for Carly because he was certain that when she had awoken this morning with the intention of implementing her plan, the last thing she had expected was to cross paths with the Jones girl.

Leaning back, as his eyes went from his new 'wife' to the blond and back, he saw the way she was glaring at Carly and in spite of knowing that they needed to talk, suggested that Maxie get some sleep. "Are you sure?"

"I think that Carly is suitably cowed." Jax said with a slight smile. "Go, you are going to need your strength for when we get back and explain what just happened to your father."

"Oh my god." Maxie suddenly sat back down and looking at the tall blond man she had married. "He is going to kill me. He is never going to believe what I did."

Laughing out loud, Jax said "I think I will be drawing the fire, not you."

"No, uh, I forgot to tell you." Maxie said. "The honesty, wasn't only with you. I uh, I called my dad and told him that I was kidnapping you and taking your jet to get married. That I had researched it and knew that all we had to do was sign an affidavit that we would have to stay married for a year and a day for them to make this legal."

Jax swallowed and said, "I missed that part."

"I'm so sorry Jax. I just saw the red mist that Elizabeth describes it as when I heard Carly plotting to marry you for your money and influence." She said with a glare at the other woman who just sat there smirking at the young girl. "I guess, I didn't think things through like Georgie is always warning me to do."

"Maxie, who exactly did you tell we were getting married?" He gently inquired, his mother was going to be laughing when she heard about this and as for Jerry, his brother was never going to let him live this down. Instead of trapped into marriage by the hardened man trap Carly, he had been bossed into marriage by a pint-sized terror who had married him to save him from the other woman.

Blushing, she said "My dad and, uh, well, I had to cancel my appointment with Kate Howard, so I told the hotel clerk who took the message that I was canceling with her to save you from a fate worse than death."

"You canceled your appointment with your idol to rescue me." He said oddly touched as he knew how much the young woman adored his old friend. "I will talk to her."

"It's fine." Maxie replied. "While I would have liked to work for her, I also don't want to move to New York because it means changing doctors and having to go over my medical history with someone new. Its bad enough that Alan Quartermaine retired so I had to talk to Leo Julian his replacement. Its difficult, you know, knowing that someone died so that I could live. And that it was BJ..."

Jax had long ago heard of the circumstances of her life, but had never really thought about it, what she had to feel. To him it was a feel-good story, how one family whose tragedy had saved their cousin who still lived, who had the beating heart of someone who hadn't survived. "I never thought about that."

With a sad bittersweet smile, Maxie said. "I know, I do, every single day when I wake up, I do."

Carly had been about to make a nasty comment but the glare from Jax shut her down. The Aussie was right, she was feeling depressed, but mainly because she had not succeeded, and she had been slowly realizing that Jason and to a lesser extent Sonny was cutting her out.

Sonny she was fine with, but Jason, she would not allow that to happen. But she was unsure of how to proceed. Marrying Jax had been ideal. Sonny hated him so Jason would. It would get his attention back onto herself. She had been afraid that he was mooning over that bitch Sam, but when he didn't go to court when Sam was remanded to Shadybrook, when it had been a state appointed attorney representing Sam, Carly was sure that she wasn't the problem.

Robin was so wrapped up in Drake and she had even looked at Elizabeth, but nothing, Sonny had tried to claim that it was business, but Carly hadn't been warned about a mob war, the only thing currently going on was a reshuffling of territories and this relation of that bastard Johnny O'Brien's in town. Wait, what was that guy's name again?"

O'Brien, Brian, Brant, Bryant. Sean Bryant. A wealthy man, who was new to the area and who would draw the attention of Sonny and of Jason. She was going to go and ensure that she got to meet this new guy.

But with a glare at the two seated near her, she vowed to take them down, to make Maxie Jones pay for thwarting her plans. Then with a glare at the taller blond male, she was also going to make him pay, he had made it very clear that he wasn't going to be blackmailed any further, had told her that she could go public with the news that his father had had an illegitimate son, that his mother was on the way and he was going to tell the woman himself.

When Jason watched Cam being hugged by Alice then told that Miss Monica was in the main living room, he found himself being pulled in by his son who after watching to make sure his mom was with them, entered and announced to the adults. "Miss Monica, I brought my friend Jason to play with me today. Can he stay?"

The four adults in the room went still, Ned's lips twitching as he saw Jason's amusement at Cam's announcement while Alan looked over at his wife who didn't seem surprised and at his father whose eyes were now glinting with something...that almost looked like tears. "Cam, hello."

"Hi Mr. Doctor Alan." He announced as he saw the dark-haired younger man. "Mr. Ned and Mr. Grumpy."

Ned looked at his uncle and glared then muttered to Jason. "Dr Alan taught Cam to call Edward that after he found it difficult to establish the difference between Ed and Ned."

Elizabeth's eyes were on Lila's husband who quickly realized that there was tension in the room and that the young girl he had watched grow up was now holding Jason's hand. With a quickly hidden smile, he announced. "Hello Cameron, I had to go to...to work. Have a nice visit with Monica and Alan."

Chivying Ned who clearly didn't want to leave, Edward all but dragged his grandson from the room. Once there was silence, Cam looked at the doctors and announced. "Mommy and Jason were kissing in the car on the way over here and Mr. Jason said that he wants to make the announcement but only if the old man had left. So, since the old man, I think that he meant Mr. Grumpy was he, they want to make an announcement, but Mommy said it didn't matter that if Mr. Grumpy interfered she would burn down his office which Jason said wasn't a good idea that it was pre-prem... something not good."

Alan was thrown for a loop, but he saw Jason's hidden laughter and Elizabeth looking like she wanted to hide behind furniture as Cam went to sit next to Monica and then asked, "What is a tea tray because Miss Alicia said she was bringing in the tea tray."

Hearing it was snacks and a drink, Cam's eyes lit up and he said okays, so maybe Mommy and Jason can make their announcement firsts."

When Alice entered, Elizabeth regretfully knew that her little chatterbox would keep dominating the conversation, so she asked Alice if she had time to get Cam some juice and some fruit.

The maid quickly had the young man following her, as the adults sat down. Elizabeth looked at Jason who looked at her then just announced. "Elizabeth and I are getting married, we are already legally married but want to renew and Cam is my son, its a long story and we are having another child."

Alan felt faint as he fell into the nearest chair while Monica acted suitable surprised.

"Jason." Elizabeth said with a sideways look. "We might need to fill in a little bit more than that."

"Why?" He asked. "Trust me, they aren't going to care, all they are going to want to know is if we are happy and if they get to spent time with their grandchildren."

"Are you?" Alan asked. "Happy? Are we? And when did you get married?"

"Yes, we are happy." Jason told them then with a bit of a troubled sigh told them the highlights. What had gone wrong between them that had them splitting up, getting together the night that Emily had almost died, the misunderstanding then both of them forgetting, and at different times.

"So, Elizabeth, you still don't remember this?" Monica asked.

"No, but the note that Jason has it is my handwriting." She replied. "The odd thing is that the outer envelope isn't."

"Jason, what about your timeline?" Monica asked when to her surprise, Jason handed over the note. Going still at the handwriting on the envelope and hoping she was wrong, she read the note inside.

Frowning a bit, not really wanting to tell his parents, he looked over at Elizabeth and decided to be more forthcoming. "I know that I was aware around September, but not when I forgot. I didn't recall until January this year. When I got my memories back, I started to have what I have called echoes, which we think might have been my mind trying to get my additional missing memories back. When I did remember, I arranged for a DNA test, but didn't tell Elizabeth in part because I wasn't sure what to do about Sam."

Seeing Elizabeth wince, Jason added "I knew that there the missing emotions, the echoes weren't about her, but everyone kept telling me that I loved her, but I didn't feel it. Sam knew something was different, that something was off and was always crying, I think that she fell back into old patterns and was trying to use the tactics that worked on her cons. I just knew that she wanted to marry me rather badly and wanted a child. It felt off."

Alan stayed silent, he had not like Sam, nor Courtney so he could offer no insight into either woman.

"When I was able to end things with her, she went to Sonny and they worked together to create situations when she needed rescued. I knew that something was up and needed it dealt with it before speaking to Elizabeth, but things were happening that made it easier to deal with Sonny and Sam thankfully took herself out of the situation without meaning to."

Elizabeth with a heavy sigh told them. "Jason and I were talking, working through our issues and one night, we were at the penthouse, he had told me that he had remodeled some things and was asking my opinion on something and one thing led to another and well... Sam escaped police custody, and they showed up unexpectedly."

"Elizabeth and I were found in a compromising position by Lucky, Ric and Mac Scorpio." Jason said in a flat tone keeping with the story that they had told others, knowing that they had to. "Sam it turns out had gone to this computer geek and he had helped her out. A few guards and myself worked around things and dealt with keeping Elizabeth safe then I found out that Sam had the geek bugging my apartment."

Monica saw Elizabeth flushing and got it. "So, not only did the PCPD see the two of you, but Sam did as well."

"Yes, she had a break from reality." Jason told them. "Oddly she blamed Ric, and Carly and Courtney because they had warned her about Elizabeth and my friendship. The computer geek has been hanging around and I brought in guards that are loyal to only myself to protect Elizabeth and Cam."

"And then I was handed the wedding certificate by an Italian contact." Jason said carefully skirting around the truth. "What I find interesting is that it lists Luke Spencer as one of the witnesses and the other is unknown woman's name."

"So, Luke might have known." Elizabeth asked sounding surprised as her mind went to what Jason had said about Father Coates and the confession that he couldn't share that had him signing their marriage license.

"Yes. I guess, you didn't see his name on the certificate?" Jason asked.

"I was too stunned with seeing the words marriage certificate and yours and my names." She replied with her eyes on Jason.

"Anyhow, Jason what triggered the memories." Monica asked then with a frown, said "You need to find out who knows the truth. Because you have hidden enemies, Jason. Someone that could come after you unexpectedly."

Jason simply nodded then said "We are both well aware that more than likely someone we know kept the truth from us. We know that Georgie Jones knows the truth about Elizabeth and I being together. She saw us at Kelly's. She said as far as she knew no one else was at the diner or the boarding house."

"And Georgie was the one insisting on the truth coming out." Elizabeth added. "Jason said that Mike knew, and he told Luke, but we don't know when he told Luke or what he told him."

"Mike lies regularly because of his addiction and would tell anything we wanted to hear for money." Jason admitted. "Another family said that the information was shopped around, so either Luke sold it or told someone who did."

Alan said "Elizabeth, what do you remember of the morning after this night."

Elizabeth blinked and told Alan. "I have fuzzy memories but woke up at my studio. Jason and I both left Kelly's at the same time, according to him, so who knows why I didn't remember. I had some alcohol but not enough to forget anything."

"Alan, Monica why are you so interested?" Jason asked.

Monica bit her lip then told him. "Jason, I recognize this handwriting."

"Whose is it?" Jason asked.

"Your grandmother's." Monica told them. "I think that I know when it got into the envelope but not how it ended up in your hands. The day after Emily started to make a recovery, your grandmother sent you a note. The odd thing was I found the note in a book she kept by her bedside. It was dated and the paper matches."

"Lila?" Elizabeth said sounding defeated.

"Jason, she wrote you a note asking you to stop, that it was important." Monica said. "What was strange was that she went to your warehouse to hand deliver it. You weren't there but she said that she left it on your desk."

"Which tracks with my thoughts." Jason admitted. Looking at Elizabeth, he told her. "The memory issue, I still don't know when I lost the memory, but I do know that the last time I remember the memory was at the warehouse. I found something..."

Jason said the last three words very slowly as he struggled to fight against whatever it was keeping him from remembering. "We know I didn't remember in February the night of the fire. Nor do I remember knowing around New Years...Christmas. It was Christmas that the memory went away."

Hearing the sound of Cam, Monica quickly tabled the discussion and asked about Cam knowing the truth.

"We are taking our time, mainly because he loves to tell everyone everything." Elizabeth said. "We want the truth known but there are a few people we need to deal with first."

"May we spent time with Cam?" Alan asked.

"Yes and with the new child too, as long as Edward never uses the word heir or talks about him inheriting ELQ." Jason said with a smirk and a sideways look at Elizabeth. "Elizabeth has threatened to burn down ELQ if he does."

"Ah, so that explains where the premeditation comes in" Monica said with a snicker as Cam entered the room followed by Alice and to their surprise the Quartermaine's temperamental cook who looked at Elizabeth and said "I be giving you lessons. Child likes to eat my sweet potato pancakes, little bambino says you make them wrong."

With that the man stormed off and Cam grinned at his mommy saying. "I told you he would teach you if you asked."

Elizabeth's eyes narrowed as her toddler went to be seated by Alan and told him. "I make perfectly fine sweet potato pancakes, Cameron Steven Webber."

Cam leaned into Alan and announced. "Mommy doesn't put enough sweet stuff in them, I like angry cookies better."

Jason saw Elizabeth in their son as he folded his arms defending his position. Looking between Elizabeth and the pint sized domino, he saw the minute Monica saw the same thing and her lips twitching as he told them. "Imagine what it is going to be like when they are two of them."

Elizabeth sweetly smiled at Jason and leaned in, to whisper to him. "I hope that this one is EXACTLY like you. If you think I am stubborn, you Jason Morgan, take stubborn to heights unseen before in the civilized world."

Jason didn't think about keeping it quiet, all he thought about was kissing Elizabeth and replied. "Well, this new baby will be the very calm and collected if he takes after myself. Just wait."

"Baby?" Cam asked. "Did you know that lots and lots of people are having babies, I saw that on the news. Mommy I want a baby, but if I can't have a baby can I have a dog."

Mac Scorpio had stopped back at General hospital to talk to Bobbie Jones at her request. When she told him what she was considering he asked about the house that the Spencer family had lived it. "To be frank, Bobbie. The blues club is falling down around itself, and the land is in a blighted area. The amount you will get for it will cover the raising of the Haunted Star but not the clean up."

"I hate it, but I am going to have to consider selling Kelly's." She admitted. "The house, would need permission from Laura and Luke."

"What about Nik?" He asked.

"I finally reached him." Bobbie said. "He has had threats from Helena if he helps Luke. He has agreed to sign off on selling the house, Laura and Luke would get half that would have to go to cover their medical expenses. Luke has no other assets. I could afford to buy his half of the diner, but I would need to mortgage the brownstone to do so. I don't want to risk my home if I can avoid it."

"What about Sonny or Jason?" Bobbie noticed he never even mentioned Carly which told her that everyone knew how selfish her daughter was.

"Sonny is out of town and from what he told me about Carly, I would hate to ask him to help. Jason, I will talk to, but even if he offered top dollar, I would still have to sell the diner." She replied.

Mac patted her on the back, knowing that she didn't deserve this, she had worked hard to get where she had but thanks to her wasteral brother and his family, she was going to be the one paying for their messes.

Heading home, Mac thought about all he had tried to put out of his mind that day. Georgie and her secrets, and how he still needed to talk to her about them. She had agreed to work a shift at Kelly's so Mac intended to stay up and talk to her after she got home near midnight.

Not that he was going to be getting much sleep due to the other two young woman in his life, he had already called Felicia who had agreed to be there in time for dinner when he had given her a heads up on Robin, keeping Maxie's shenanigans to himself, hoping against hope, that his daughter had not really married a man twelve years older than herself.

His niece ending up accidentally married to Patrick Drake due to their constant need to argue over everything from the color of the grass to the cost of oil in Texas. At least he knew that Drake had feelings for his niece and that she had feelings for the playboy doc.

The call from Maxie regarding Jasper Jacks and how she was going to rescue him from Carly Benson Quartermaine Corinthos, Corinthos, Alcazar, Corinthos because she owed him for setting up a meeting with her idol Kate Howard. Then the call back in which she informed him that he needed to go arrest a man by the name of Warren James for crimes against fashion, then that she had missed her interview with her idol because she had been marrying Jacks in Halifax Nova Scotia in some sort of Scottish blacksmith wedding.

Mac was hoping that it wasn't true, because he didn't know whether he was going to kill Jasper Jacks or wait until his daughter offered her explanation in which case he might be sympathizing with the man. Arriving home, he started dinner, deciding on spaghetti as he wasn't exactly sure how many were going to be in attendance.

When Felicia arrived, she told him. "The mayor is going to be resigning tomorrow. His wife confronted him tonight with all of his misdeeds and told him that if he wanted to stay married, he had to resign and return the stolen funds. Andrea Floyd has all of the money, and proof that he cheated on her with a woman in his office who works in accounting. Oh, and I left on your desk a file proving that they have been doing some creative accounting with not only police department funds but with the federal government grant money to remove blighted properties to the tune of five million dollars."

Shaking his head, Mac told her. "The feds have been supposedly investigating the case for several months. I will be glad to get rid of them."

"So, how was your day?" Felicia asked while pouring herself a glass of wine while going to turn on the news, wanting to see what the weather was supposed to be for tomorrow, because she was intending to have a picnic with her daughters.

"Strange." He told her and with his back turned, he could see her in the glass, so waiting for her to take a drink, gave her the shorthand version. "Robin married Drake today by accident, Maxie apparently instead of stalking Kate Howard highjacked the Jacks family jet and forced Jasper Jacks to marry her and it's still early yet, who knows maybe Georgie will end up married to that idiot Dillon so that I may have the pleasure of killing three men instead of two."

Felicia very carefully set her glass of wine down and was about to look at her ex-husband and tell him that he was not as funny as he thought when the reporter continued to speak. "As we were reporting earlier, Carly Corinthos was just arrested for assault and battery at the Port Charles Airport in the private hanger area after a fight with a woman claiming to be the wife of Jasper Jacks Australian billionaire. Ms Corinthos then went on a rampage confessing to the arresting officers crimes going back to her first year in Port Charles, including an attack on the grandson of another billionaire. Edward Quartermaine."

"Ms Corinthos was taken to the State Police barracks as they have jurisdiction over the airport. We hope to have more for you at the ten o'clock news hour"

Felicia couldn't help laughing as they showed Carly struggling against police handcuffs as she was forcefully put into the back of a dark blue with yellow writing state police vehicle. "Couldn't have happened to a nice bitch."

Watching the news, with one eye on the sauce, Mac was getting ready to try and tell Felicia the longer version of what he had already told her when Robin entered the house still arguing with Patrick Drake from the sounds of it about his moving in with her or if she should move in with him.

Felicia poured Drake a glass of wine, but Robin refused as she went to get some iced tea as Mac was draining the noodles.

"In other news, fashion divas around the world are crying in their design duds as fashion guru Kate Howard has resigned from her long-time position as head editor of Couture Magazine."

Robin softly said, "Maxie must be devastated."

"Ms. Howard sent in a statement to various media outlets explaining that she felt it was necessary to take a step back as she feels that she had begun to feel unfashionable and that she has every intention of coming back after her sabbatical during which she is going to be venturing out of her comfort zone and that she is going to take on several new and different project including purchasing an old manor house and restoring it to be used as the new headquarters for her upcoming projects and potential new magazine once the non-complete clause for Couture has ended.

Ms. Howard has set up a web address and intends to blog about her adventures. Many have wondered if she was one of the few in the know of who the author of the Sophie la Couer romance adventure books is. As was recently reported by James Publishing once the author wraps up the latest in the Edmond and Josephine series, the author intends to create a new hero for legion of fans to fantasize about.

Ms. Howard recently gave us a hint at the end of her email. All it said was

Sophie la Couer = Malcolm Scorpio

And as one of the millions of loyal le Couer readers, I have to admit wanting to know, just who is Malcolm Scorpio. The name sounds just divine, will he be a smoldering anti hero like her last, Edmond Hawthorne. Or is Kate Howard hinting at something else, like the author of the hottest romance books since that Italian stallion Fabio graced the covers and filled the fantasies of women everywhere. Could this Malcolm Scorpio be the best-selling author. Time will tell, dear watchers, time will tell."

There was silence from the four in the room and the two who had entered quietly from the front door. No one knew what to say as Patrick was suddenly snickering as he said "Women everywhere are going to be chasing after your Uncle Mac when they find out he has the same name as some bodice ripping book character. Classic."

"Drake, shut up." Robin said as her eyes went to Maxie who had entered the house with Jasper Jacks of all people. Georgie was going to lose it when she heard this one, she thought to herself then looking at her uncle, who looked as if he had been hit with a baseball bat.

The sauce bubbled over, and Patrick went into the kitchen and rescued the sauce which he saw the noodles, and could smell the garlic bread. Pulling it out of the oven, he was about to place in in the prepared basic when his wife said That isn't going to go over well."

"Georgie is going to be so pissed." Maxie said as she closed her eyes at the mess they were going to be in when she found out. She was going to be the first person her sister confronted because everyone knew she found it hard to keep secrets and she had been talking about Kate Howard.

Jax was confused and then looking at the television screen which was now showing the latest whoa of the Buffalo Bills and then thought back to what they had seen and what Kate had told him earlier. "Mac?

"I would not be saying a word, Jacks." The man said scowling at the tall blond standing next to his petite daughter.

"Why are all of you acting as if Mac really is the author of those books?" Patrick said. Looking at them, he said "I have read them, they were written by a woman, no doubt about it."

"You read them?" Felicia asked a bit surprised.

Shrugging, Patrick said. "I spent a lot of time in the on call room. Since I have been chasing Robin, I have had a lot of free time since I am staying out of linen closets. There was one of the series on the library cart, I read it. It was well written, but the love scenes. A woman wrote them. No man did, because it was sexy with the sex, if you know what I mean."

Seeing Maxie looking at him with a doubtful expression, he said "You end up using your imagination, the words aren't as direct as if a man wrote it. Its fabulously done. She has the readers going where she wants them to go without being descriptive like a guy would about point one going into slot a with harsh words, instead she used euphemisms."

Felicia thought back and said "You're right. When I read them, I was using my imagination, but specific words."

"You're wrong, because Stan Johnson wrote the love scenes." Mac said.

"Dad, no he didn't. He was Georgie's agent; she wrote the books." Maxie replied.

"Uncle Mac, Georgie and I talked about it. She uh, got some books, from the Internet, just like she did on police procedure, and the art stuff for the museum that the heroine works at. She wrote the books."

"Your cousin, Georgie?" Patrick said. "Wait, the books have been out for a few years, how old was she when she wrote them?"

Shrugging Maxie replied "Eighteen when she wrote the first one."

Jax thought about it and hid his need to laugh. Unassuming Georgie Jones really was one of the smartest woman he had ever met. She had publishers fighting to publish her books, including his had tried to get the right to print them in Australia. They had even agreed she wouldn't ever have to do publicity as the books sold themselves.

He had even denied it when Kate Howard had said that the best-selling author was from Port Charles, and now it turns out he knew the author. "Oh crap. Maxie."

The blond turned to her 'husband' and said what.

"You know Kate Howard's reach." He said grimly.

"Oh dad." Maxie's eyes went to the man standing in the doorway and said, "I think that you just got bigger problems than the fact that I married Jax today."

"You did what!" Felicia asked, moving close to where her daughter was standing. "Why would you do a foolish think like that."

"She decided to save me from Carly." Jax said shaking his head in bemusement.

Felicia thought about it then said, "You couldn't accidentally shoot her? We could have covered for you."

"We are going to sit down as a family and figure this out. No one but I am going to be shooting anyone." Mac ordered. Telling Patrick to bring dinner to the table, he turned off his personnel phone which had begun to buzz silently from where he was wearing it on his belt. Thankfully, he knew exactly where his family was minus Georgie and how much trouble could she get in closing Kelly's like she had a hundred times they were all seated, he counted to ten and said "Drake, you and Robin go first, because your marriage seems to have been fairly straight forward.

"Actually, Uncle Mac... this all began when I was driving to work this morning and hit Janine Matthews with my car." Robin replied.

TBC

I am breaking it off there, the next chapter is going to have the other half of the day. What Georgie was doing, what Helena was doing, what Jerry Jacks accidentally sets in motion. You learn more about the two marriages already described. And its about six o'clock Port Charles time, so you also get the rest of the day.
