The silent genius walked into the studio, accompanied by the robot from his audition tape. "What is that?" Josh asked after B sat down. "Right. You don't talk, so I cant expect an answer." B simply made a few signs with his hands. "Don't get so depressed," the robot beeped, spooking Josh. "I thought ahead and constructed this translation robot just for this occasion. William, as I call him, translates my sign language into spoken language."
"Isn't that clever?" Josh noted with an impressed look. "And saves us a lot of trouble. So, B and William, let's do this interview, and we're starting with what might be your polar opposite, Staci."
"Her...chattiness got on everybody's nerves on day one," William translated after B made a few signs. "It's why we chose to boot her over Dakota. No one could stay in the room with her for more than a few minutes. I heard she's tamed down her chattiness, though."
"Okay. Next comes Dakota. Any thoughts on her?" B thought a moment before making a few signs. "It was a bit obvious she would be the diva type from day one," William translated. "But she did later prove that she was much kinder than we originally thought. Honestly makes me a bit grateful Sam was able to bring out that sweetness lingering inside. I heard she mostly recovered from her mutation, so that's another plus, and she did get some restitution from that huge lawsuit the TD cast put against Chris since he caused it. Glad she's doing okay now."
"Alright," Josh said. "Now, the closest person to you on the show was Dawn. How did you feel after she voted you out?"
"It was a bit sad," William translated after B did a few signs, "But I could understand how she got tricked. Technology and nature don't always mesh together well. But Dawn is still a great friend of mine. I felt bad when she got booted after Scott set her up like he did me. And before you ask, we're not dating of any sort. I know the fandom loves to ship us, but I'm more focused with my work nowadays. She's still my closest friend and even gave me tips on devices with renewable energy like a solar-powered toy car."
"I figured you two would still be close. So, next is fellow Rat Sam. What do you think of him?"
"Well, he is NOT a smelly ball of dough like Lightning claims. He was a pretty good player even if nobody else saw it. He also seems to bring out the best in most people, as seen with Dakota. When I heard he got onto All Stars, he was the one I was rooting for to win. Shame that season did him dirty. I heard he's pretty great in the video game industry now, not that it's a surprise."
"Wow, someone actually liking Sam on All Stars. That's new. Let's move onto the next contestant." B looked at Brick's picture and did a few signs. "He is quite a noble man," William translated. "A shame I hardly got to know him during the competition. It's also sad he got cut after saving everyone's lives, but considering he was on a team with Jo and Lightning, I suppose he was doomed from the start. It's nice he lived out his fashion school dream after the show ended."
"Another praising review," Josh noted. "Do you feel the same positivity for Anne-Maria? She talked to you...once, correct?"
"Yeah, and I'm neutral on her overall. I guess it's because we are parts of different worlds, with her focusing on beauty and I on academics. But she does care for the people close to her, like with Vito or Cameron or that on/off relationship she has with Justin."
"Okay. So, Mike was also a victim of Scott's schemes. How do you feel about him?"
"I honestly feel bad for him," William translated after B did a few signs. "It must have been tough not being in control of your body half the time. And what Scott did to him was completely heinous, even for TD villain standards. But I'm glad he found his own people with Zoey and Cameron and getting some therapeutic help for his condition. I can't say I'm super-close with him, but we're on fairly good terms."
"Very interesting," Josh noted. "Now, you never interacted with Jo, but I'm guessing there's no positives there, right?"
"The only positive I can give is that she's better off in a gym instead of a reality show. She was super aggressive and super competitive. Makes me a little grateful I wasn't there when she joined the Rats."
"Speaking of Rats, let's move onto the Rat that cut your time short." B looked at Scott's picture, then did a few signs. "Definitely a...different person than what I expected," William translated. "The idea of self-sabotage to cut threats and give the other team a false sense of confidence... When I learned that Scott framed me for sabotage, I was understandably upset. But even I felt bad for him getting mauled by Fang. Way too excessive. Constructing that suit for him was probably the only thing keeping his vitals from worsening until he could get proper medical treatment. But after the season, the Scott hatred started dying down for most of the cast, me included. Can't say we talk, though."
"Ah, quite a surprise," Josh replied. "Next up comes Zoey. Any thoughts on her?"
"I'm kinda neutral on her. She may not realize it, but she does give off that double-standard with judging people, like with Dawn and Dakota. But I did understand her reason to vote off Dakota after she mutated, though. In All Stars, it feels like she got more oblivious with the Mal situation, especially in that ice cream episode. Like with Mike, I'm not exactly super-close with her."
"Hmm, yes. Next up comes Lightning. He was a fellow Toxic Rat, too. Your thoughts on him?" B thought for a moment and did a few signs. "Another polar opposite of mine," William translated. "I am focused on brains while he prioritizes brawn. I am more humble while he tends to brag. I can admit defeat when I get it while he fusses over a single loss...and boy, did he complain about our losing streak. And by the time of the finale, he crossed into outright bad guy territory. He thankfully mellowed out some by All Stars, but I don't really contact him."
"I can see why," Josh noted. "The final camper to talk about is Cameron."
"He's probably the guy I can relate to regarding our skills. We're both smart individuals and can be on the outskirts regarding the social ladder. But he definitely is more book smart while I have a mix of book and street smarts. He's also a little more on the naive side, but it's understandable since he was isolated from most of the outside world most of his life. Explains how the bad guys of Revenge and All Stars were able to do their schemes. But after the show, we've gotten to become decent friends. He even watches some of my robotics and science classes at the local high school."
"Wow. Sounds pretty neat. So, did you meet up with Gen 1 or Gen 3?" B thought before doing a few hand signals. "I did," William translated. "I went to the TD party Geoff hosted and got acquainted with him. I tried to meet up with Harold but I never really got the chance. Sierra was quite energetic when she was gathering data for her blogs, but she seemed harmless if you disregard the whole Cody-Cameron issues. As for Gen 3, I only really met up with Beardo and it was nice seeing him slowly conquer his social anxiety."
"Okay," Josh replied. "Last question: what do you think of the new cast?"
"I'd say Damien and MK might be my personal favorites. Yes, I know MK is a villain, but you gotta admire her ability to think outside the box. Oh, and you gotta give credit to Zee since he didn't let his disability become a hindrance and is actually humble about it...well, unless you count those 'stories' on how he lost his leg."
"And that concludes the interview. Honestly, I'm surprised how well this one went, especially regarding how you choose not to speak. Keep up the good work with your classes, B."
"Thank you, Josh. I wish you good luck with the remaining interviews." B walked out of the studio as William the robot followed him. "Definitely a unique one," Josh muttered. "Let's see which Revenge person is... Oh, boy. If she starts soul-reading on me, we're gonna have a problem."
The silent genius B is done! I figured his interview would also be a tad tricky since he didn't last long and doesn't speak, but I think I worked it well with that translation robot William. With B being decent friends with Dawn and Cameron, about neutral and good terms with the majority of the other cast, too, even with Scott.
Next up will be the mysterious aura reader with her cryptic advice and love for mutated animals. Until next time, this is Dunsparce519 saying enjoy and have a good day.
