TW: Glad to hear it. You'll see.

Queen Consolidated

Mid-Morning

"So the Benefit will be held at City Hall, cutesy of my mother," Oliver said as he held a meeting with the board.

"I think it's a good idea. This benefit will help raise money for people in need, and it'll be good for the city to see this company can still do some good, after The Undertaking and The Siege," Ray pointed out and several of the other board members nodded.

"Then its unanimous then. We'll be in touch with Mayor Queen about the details," another board member said and Oliver nodded his agreement.

"I guess we call this meeting adjourned then," Oliver said as they all got up, beginning to walk out.

As Oliver made his way out of the board room and began making his way to his office, he noticed Ray following him.

"Can I help you Ray?" Oliver asked.

"Are you okay? You look tired," Ray pointed out, having noticed the bags under Oliver's eyes during the meeting.

"I just haven't slept well the last couple nights," Oliver said, remembering his nightmares about Bobbi and Kovar.

"Maybe you should take the rest of the day off, try and get some sleep," Ray suggested as they reached his office.

"Mr. Queen?" Oliver and Ray looked over as Felicity stood up. "Mr. Harper called; he has news about that…business venture you were looking into."

"Duty calls, Ray," Oliver said with a tight smile before entering his office, shutting the door behind him. "What did Roy find on Brickwell?"

Arrow lair

Later that day

"I paid a visit to an old warehouse Brick was known to frequent, found a bunch of torched burners and files. This was only thing useable from the file," Roy said as the three of them, plus Sara, stood in the lair, Roy handing Oliver a burnt piece of paper with a bunch of numbers on it.

"The numbers looked familiar, so I ran it through our database. A lot of the case numbers were some guys we put away; others were caught by the SCPD. They're all awaiting trial for murder or attempted murder," Sara explained.

"Hired muscle," Oliver caught on and Sara nodded.

"Roy also found a set of blueprints, it's for the warehouse where the SCPD houses all physical evidence on active cases," Sara explained and the two looked at her sharply.

"Sara, are you sure?" Felicity asked and the other blond nodded.

"I practically grew up knowing how this kind of thing works, my Dad showed me the warehouse once," Sara said confidently.

"Brickwell's plan is to head to the warehouse and take or destroy evidence to get those cases thrown out of court," Oliver said softly, having put it together.

"He's trying to give himself an army," Rory added. "And as someone who grew up in The Glades, terrified of Brick, that's not a good thing."

"Good thing we won't let him get that," Sara said, looking over at Oliver, who nodded.

"Brickwell won't get that evidence. He'll have to get through us first," Oliver said darkly.

Starling City

Night

Brickwell and his men were in a truck, driving towards the warehouse when an arrow flew out and struck one of the tires. It deflated and the truck swerved, almost crashing into a pole as it skidded to a stop.

"Boss, we got company," one of Brickwell's men called out and Brickwell looked up, scowling as he saw Oliver, Sara and Roy, all in uniform.

"Daniel Brickwell, you have failed this city!" Oliver declared as Brickwell and his men got out of the car.

"I figured you might come after me. Which is why I brought some help," Brickwell said with a sick grin.

Oliver suddenly shot his hand out, catching an arrow and stopping it inches from Roy's face. Roy almost jumped back as a man in a black uniform wearing a mask and wielding a bow and arrow jumped down.

"Malcolm Merlyn groupie?" Oliver asked as he dropped the arrow.

"Komodo, real name Simon Locroix. He's a mercenary, killed targets all over the world," Sara said and Oliver glanced at her questionably. "Ra's took an interest in him, until he realized he was basically just an arrow for hire. Surprised you're involved in this. How much is Brick paying you?"

"He didn't have to pay me anything. Killing the guy who killed Slade Wilson? That'll do wonders for my rep," Komodo said with a laugh.

"We'll see about that. You two, deal with Komodo and the rest of Brickell's men. Brickwell is mine," Oliver ordered.

"That's what I like to hear!" Brickwell said with a laugh.

It was on then. Brickwell's men opened fire on Roy, who dodged before returning fire, his arrow getting one of Brickwell's men in the shoulder. Sara immediately engaged Komodo, who parried her baton with his bow.

Meanwhile, Oliver engaged Brickwell, the two trading a few blows before Oliver delivered a strong kick to his abdomen that sent Brickwell down to his knees. But Brickwell immediately went for his gun only for Oliver to throw a flechette that he pulled out from under his sleeve. It stuck the gun, knocking it out of Brickwell's hand.

"Not this time," Oliver snarled before rushing Brickwell.

Roy knocked a man out with his bow before whirling around, delivering a spinning kick to two others and notching an arrow, firing behind him and getting another in the shoulder.

Behind him, Sara and Komodo were continuing to trade blows before Komodo jumped back, firing an arrow that exploded into ropes that wrapped around Sara's legs. Sara dropped her baton as she was yanked forward, slammed on her back. Komodo attempted to strike her with an arrow but Sara pulled out a knife and cut his arrow in half before elbowing him in the stomach. As Komodo stumbled back, Sara cut her legs free and jumped up.

"Should have gone for my arms," Sara said as she jumped back, picking up her baton.

"How about I go for your head?" Komodo said before firing.

Sara dodged before breaking her baton in half and throwing it. One half of her baton struck Komodo in the face, dazing him long enough for Roy to fire an arrow, that exploded into iron cables which wrapped around Komodo, restraining him.

Oliver and Brickwell were continuing to trade blows, Oliver delivering a series of jabs to Brickwell's abdomen. Brickwell didn't go down though, continuing to punch Oliver. Oliver stumbled back before pulling out an arrow, using it to nick Brickwell in the abdomen, the unexpected blow taking Brick off-guard long enough for Oliver to send a powerful punch to his face that sent the mob boss falling on his back.

"Stand down. It's over," Oliver ordered as they heard police sirens and Brickwell looked around, seeing all his men had been defeated by Roy and Sara.

"Maybe for me, but not for you. You think I hired Komodo for you? Please," Brickwell scoffed. "There's someone far worse coming for you. He calls himself Prometheus. And when he comes, you'll wish I'd killed you."

Oliver didn't respond, merely punching Brickwell again, knocking him out.

"You okay?" Sara asked as she walked up to him.

"He's not wrong, about Prometheus coming for me at least," Oliver noted.

"And we'll stop him, just like we stopped Slade," Roy said confidently as he joined them.

Oliver didn't respond, still a bit uneasy, even as Quentin led a group of squad cars onto the scene.

Metropolis, four years earlier

Day

"And they call this a safe house?" Dragon quipped as he, Clint and Oliver walked into a 'safe house' that looked more like a loft.

"Owner of this building sold it years ago. Fury bought it for missions in Metropolis. Don't get too comfy, we're here on business," Clint pointed out as they all set their bags down.

"And what is that? You've been pretty cagey since we left the Triskelion," Oliver pointed and Clint shot him a look, likely weighing his options before nodding.

"As you know, for around 16 hours, the whole world lost power. The media's been calling it Black Thursday. As luck would have it, SHIELD had the only working satellite," Clint said as he picked p a remote. "Here's what we saw at the Pentagon, during a break in."

Clint clicked a button and a holographic screen appeared, showing a bald, white man wearing a black overcoat engaging armed men. To the disbelief of Dragon and Oliver, they fired bullets that merely bounced off the man's skin before he seemed to disappear in a blue and the armed men went flying.

"Recognize anyone?" Clint asked as he paused the video.

"Lex Luthor, guy's the CEO of Luthor Corp," Dragon pointed out. "There have been rumors going around about Luthor and his old man being involved with illegal experiments on the Enhanced that come out of Smallville for years."

"So are we thinking that Luthor finally gave himself super powers?" Oliver questioned.

"Well, that's what Fury sent us here to determine. Our orders are to capture him and determine whether he still possess these powers," Clint said before glancing at Oliver. "Which reminds me. Oliver, Fury had a gift sent for you."

Oliver looked at Clint in confusion but he merely walked over to a box on a table. Oliver glanced at Dragon but he merely shrugged.

"Now that you're back on American soil, the possibility of someone recognizing you is a lot higher. So you'll have to disguise yourself," Clint said as he opened it. "Fury had this made for you; all he needed was the hood you got from Yao-Fei."

Oliver glanced inside, seeing a green suit with a quiver, gloves and his hood. Oliver looked back up at Clint, who smirked.

"Try it on kid; you're in the big leagues now."

A few minutes later, Oliver stood in the room, now dressed in the suit and the hood pulled up over his head.

"How do you feel?" Dragon asked.

"Ridiculous," Oliver said honestly. "You honestly think this suit will keep me from being recognized?"

"As long as you stick to the shadows, yeah. In the light of day, anyone can see through that. But at night? As long as you stay in the shadows, no one will ever recognize Oliver Queen," Clint said confidently. "Now, time to move out. We have a corrupt billionaire to find."

Arrow lair, present

Night

Oliver, Sara, Roy and Felicity stood in the lair, watching a news report on Brickwell's arrest.

"Dad says they'll be transferring Brick back to Iron Heights, until he can be tried for his new crimes," Sara said.

"They know Brickwell's game now, so they should keep any witnesses in protective custody," Oliver noted and Sara nodded.

"What about Prometheus? He's still out there," Felicity pointed out.

"And any guy that scares Brick that much is not someone I want to meet," Roy added.

"Promethus'll make his move sooner or later. Since we have no way of tracking him at the moment, all we can do is wait. In the meantime, the city is a little safer with Brickwell off the streets," Oliver said as he pulled out The List, crossing off Brickwell's name. "We should all go home, get some sleep."

"You more than most of us," Sara noted, all of them having noticed the bags under his eyes.

"Which is why I'm suggesting it," Oliver said with a tight smile before they all headed out.

Xavier Institute

Same time

In his office, Charles was going over some papers when he paused, sensing something. After a moment, he smiled, turning away from his desk and towards the window. Using his powers, Charles opened the window wide. After a few moments, Nick Fury walked into his office.

"Your security is terrible. Would have thought you'd have upgraded it after that business with Stryker," Fury noted as he closed the window.

"I had it shut off the night, once I received your call. You sounded worried on the phone, my friend," Charles noted and Fury nodded.

"Because I am. I need your help, Chuck. I need you to find Bobbi Morse," Fury said and Charles frowned, deeply concerned.

"Has something happened to her?" Charles asked.

"She was on the run; she took the fall for SHIELD when a mission in Russia went south. Then, the people Ross had tailing her were tranqed and she disappeared. No one can find her. And I made a promise to her mother when she was recruited that I would watch out for Bobbi. So I need your help to find her, and you can't tell any of your X-Men," Fury said and Charles was perplexed.

"That's unusual of you. You never normally care when my students know of our dealings," Charles noted.

"This is different Chuck. Read my mind, and you'll know why," Fury said, looking Charles in the eye.

Charles was still confused and, given Fury was telling him to read his mind, it must be serious. So he did so and, after a few moments, Charles's eyes widened in shock.

"Bobbi Morse is-"

"Yes," Fury cut him off before he could say the words out loud. "And it's not my secret to tell, or yours. You can't tell him, Charles. Promise me."

"You cannot expect me to keep such a secret from him," Charles said in disbelief.

"I can and will. It's up to Bobbi if she wants to tell him or not. It's not your place or mine to interfere. Promise me, Charles," Fury said a bit more forcibly.

Charles stared at him for a long before, reluctantly, he nodded his agreement, feeling like he was betraying someone he cared about to do so.

Starling City

Later

A prison truck was being escorted by three police cruisers to Iron Heights when an arrow flew out and struck the first cruiser. The hood of the car flew off in an explosion of sparks and it skidded to a stop, causing the truck and the other two cruisers to stop as well.

Inside the truck, Brickwell and another officer listened as the officers in the cruisers got out before the sounds of screams, shots being fired and metal slicing flesh was heard. Then, it was silent until they heard the sound of footsteps approaching the back of the truck. Brickwell then noticed the officer moving to open the door.

"You open that door, you're a dead man," Brickwell pointed out.

The officer ignored him, opening the door to reveal Prometheus standing on the other side. Before the officer could move, Prometheus had drawn his katana and made a quick slice across the man's chest, killing him instantly. The officer's lifeless body fell to the ground and Prometheus placed his sword back in its sheath before he turned to stare at the terrified Brickwell.

"I warned you to stay away from The Arrow," Prometheus reminded him.

"I decided I don't take orders. But I'm rethinking that. Let's work together, you and me. We can take down him and his merry band of vigilantes, take over this city. What do you say?" Brickwell offered.

Without saying a word, Prometheus pulled out a shuriken and threw it at Brickwell. It struck Brickwell in the neck and his head tilted to the side, his eyes staring without seeing.

"Pass," Prometheus said before turning and walking away from the scene.

And that's the end of Brickwell and the real beginning of the Prometheus arc.

Given that Komodo was still active in this version of Arrow, thought it would make sense for Brick to hire him.

SHIELD would absolutely investigate Black Thursday, so we'll see my version of the Smallville 6x02 in flashbacks. Prepare to see how Oliver met Clark.

I'm sure that scene with Fury and Charles raises a lot of questions, but it'll make sense eventually.
