TW: Glad you enjoyed it.
Metropolis, four years earlier
Night
"I don't see what the point of this is," Oliver said as he and Clint stood on a fire escape, overlooking an ordinary criminal robbing an ATM. "I thought the mission was to go after Lex Luthor."
"It is, and it will be. But while Dragon shadows him, I'm preparing you. You're a good shot, but it's time for you to use the arrow more...creatively," Clint said before reaching into his quiver, handing Oliver an Arrow. "This is an injection arrow. It contains a sedative. Hit him with it."
Oliver looked down at the arrow for a moment before shrugging, taking the arrow. Taking aim, Oliver notched the arrow before firing. It struck the criminal in the shoulder and he let out a pained gasp before he was injected and fell to the ground, out cold.
"And the point of that was?" Oliver asked dryly.
"The point is for you to learn to use arrows as something other than a weapon. They can also be a tool, one to end a fight or stop one before it begins," Clint explained and Oliver frowned, thoughtful. "You've only ever used arrows as weapons, which I get. But let me show you a whole new world. Stick with me, and I'll show you how to use arrows in ways you've never even imagined."
Queen Mansion, now
Morning
Oliver was asleep when the door to his room opened.
"Ollie, wake up. Now!" Thea shouted and Oliver jerked awake.
"Speedy?" Oliver asked in confusion, his sleepy mind not processing what was going on.
"You need to get downstairs, now. You…have a problem," Thea said and Oliver saw how worried she was.
Less than ten minutes later, in the sitting room, Oliver, Thea and Moira watched a news report on the attack on Brickwell's transport, ending with the deaths of Brickwell and all the officers that had been transporting him.
"This is a disaster," Moira finally said. "I need to get to work."
"I'll call John; tell him to pick you up. Right after I call Felicity and tell her we won't be going into work today," Oliver said as he pulled out his phone, dialing Felicity's number.

In the sitting room, Logan and Ororo were watching a news report, covering the same topic.
"Looks like Oliver's having problems of his own," Ororo noted.
"We all have those," Logan said, thinking of Rogue once more. "You seen the Professor this morning?"
"I think he's down in Cerebro. He left a message that he didn't want to be disturbed," Ororo said as she and Logan exchanged a bewildered look.
"That's unusual," Logan noted.
"Very. Whatever he's doing, it must be important," Ororo said, the two mutants wondering what Charles could be doing.
In the Cerebro room, Fury stood behind Charles as the mutant attempted to use Cerebro to locate Bobbi. Key word 'attempted'.
"You can't find her?" Fury asked in disbelief.
"Not her exact location, no. Something's…blocking her from Cerebro's reach," Charles said, as perplexed as Fury.
"Something like Magneto's helmet?" Fury asked but Charles shook his head.
"If that were the case, I wouldn't be able to find her at all. I wasn't able to pin down her exact location, but I found the general area. She's somewhere in Metropolis," Charles said as he removed the helmet. "But the fact that something was able to block me at all-"
"Is disturbing," Fury finished and Charles nodded. "Either some kind of advanced tech or Enhanced. Only thing that makes sense."
"The only thing we know for certain is that Bobbi Morse is in immense danger. You may not want my X-Men involved, Nick…but Bobbi's life may depend on it," Charles told him.
New York
Late morning
In a coffee shop, Peter Parker was sitting at a table in the corner, having just emailed some pictures to the Daily Bugle when a news report caught his attention.
"And in local news, Norman Osborn, CEO of OsCorp, and his son Harry returned to New York. According to inside sources, Osborn is overseeing a new project that requires his utmost attention."
The news report went on for a few more minutes but Peter was hardly paying attention, shock flooding through him.
Harry was back.
Central City
Same time
In the police precinct, Joe was watching a news report on The Flash teaming up with Spider-Man, silently wondering what Barry was doing in New York.
"Looks like The Flash decided to leave Central City for a while," Eddie noted as he walked up besides Joe.
"Yeah…looks like it," Joe muttered, worry coursing through him.
At Star Labs, Cisco and Caitlin were uneasily watching the same report before Wells turned it off, looking at them.
"Do either of you know why Barry may be in New York?" Wells inquired.
"No. We had no idea Barry was in New York," Caitlin said honestly.
"Yet you knew he wasn't in Central City anymore. And you kept it from me," Wells said, his voice growing cold.
"Dr. Wells, we're sorry, but Barry asked us not to tell you. We were just…trying to help him," Cisco finally said lamely and Wells looked at both them carefully before nodding.
"I understand, the two of you were trying to help your friend. But if we're going to help him, we need to know what's going on. Has Barry called either of you since he left Central City?"
"No," Cisco said honestly and Wells did his best to hide his displeasure.
"Very well. Let me know if he does," Wells said before he wheeled himself out of the room.
"That could have gone better," Caitlin said with a sigh.
"Could have gone worse too," Cisco pointed out.
Xavier Institute
Not long after
Outside the gate of the Mansion, Chloe, Barry and Matt get out of a taxi Chloe quickly giving the driver their fee before the three turned to face the gate.
"So, this is a school for people like me?" Barry asked in a mix of awe and disbelief.
"Not exactly like you. They're not Metahumans, they're Mutants. They were born with their abilities. And we're going to need their help to stop what's coming," Chloe explained, a dark look crossing her face.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Matt asked, gripping his cane slightly.
Inside, Logan, Ororo, Rogue, Bobby and Kitty all sat in Charles's office as Charles and Fury explained the situation with Bobbi.
"And that's the gist of it," Fury said as he finished explain, not having wanted to do this but realizing it had come to this if someone powerful enough to hide Bobbi was in play.
"If Oliver's girl is in trouble, why not go to him?" Logan questioned.
"I'm wondering the same thing. I thought you'd have gone to Oliver the moment you realized Bobbi was missing," Ororo pointed out.
"In case you haven't been watching the news, Oliver has problems of his own. Besides, if The Arrow is spotted in Metropolis, it'll bring The Accords down on him in full force. Moira's position as mayor allows her to keep their influence out of Starling City, but if Oliver gets in the crosshairs of law enforcement outside her jurisdiction, not even she'll be able to keep them out of Starling City," Fury pointed out.
"Makes sense," Bobby noted.
"So what do you want us to do?" Kitty inquired.
"He wants us to head to Metropolis and find Bobbi Morse," Rogue said, having already figured it out.
"I'm not in the habit of asking. But, out of respect for Charles, I'm asking. Please, help me find Bobbi," Fury said and it was silent for a moment.
"That had to hurt," Logan joked and Ororo elbowed him.
"Logan," Ororo scolded.
"It's all right, Ororo. He's not wrong. So, will you help me or not?" Fury asked and Logan shrugged as he got to his feet.
"Oliver's girl seems like she's involved with something out of her depth. Yeah, I'll do it," Logan said before the door opened and a student poked her head in.
"Uh, Professor? There are three people outside who say they want to talk to you. They said it was about Magneto."

In their safe house, the former Avengers took stock of what they had accomplished.
"T'Challa promised to get the Enhanced somewhere safe," Natasha said after a moment.
"Which'll do squat if we can't stop the Power Broker," Clint noted grimly.
"We might have a way," Steve said and the other four all turned to him. "According to the middle men we took down last night, the Power Broker is heading to Metropolis for a business meeting with a high ranking government official."
"A member of the government meeting with someone shady. What a shock," Clint said dryly.
"'And your plan is to what, head there to break it up? Do I have to point out that we're all fugitives in America?" Sam pointed out.
"Trust me, we haven't forgotten, I had to leave my family in Wakanda because Stark outed them to Ross," Clint said as he angrily stood up.
"Clint," Natasha said gently as he she put a hand on his arm.
The room was silent as they all took a breathe, knowing it was still a sore subject for Clint.
"We don't have a choice," Wanda finally said. "If we don't try and stop this now, we may never get another chance to lay eyes on the Power Broker."
"But we won't do this if we're not all in agreement. Sam?" Steve said and a beat passed before Sam sighed.
"I don't like it, but you're right. This may be our only chance to stop the Power Broker, or at least find out who they are. So looks like we're heading for Metropolis," Sam said, looking like he'd swallowed something sour.

Quentin was on the phone, talking to someone about the attack on Brickwell when the door to his office opened. Quentin looked up and saw Sara walk in.
"I'll have to call you back," Quentin said before handing up. "Hey, sweetie."
"Hi, Dad. And as much as I love visiting you at work-" Sara started.
"You're here about the attack on Brickwell's transport," Quentin said knowingly and Sara nodded.
"The Arrow wants to know what you know," Sara explained.
"Not much. Pretty straight forward, actually. This Prometheus attacked the transport, killed all the officers before killing Brickwell. There's only one thing of interest in the whole case," Quentin said and Sara raised an eyebrow. "Brickwell's cell phone was taken from him after we picked him up last night. It's missing."
"Missing?" Sara asked in disbelief and Quentin nodded.
"It never made it to evidence log. Someone swiped it before we even knew what happened," Quentin said and Sara was silent for a moment, thinking hard. "What?"
"One of the guys you arrested with Brick…think you can bring him to the back alley tonight?"

By the front door, as he, Chloe and Matt waited for the X-Men to arrive; Barry took a moment to look around. It was…as nice as the Queen Mansion, maybe even nicer.
"Impressed?" Chloe asked as she noticed Barry look around.
"You aren't?" Barry asked and Chloe shrugged.
"I was in the Luthor Mansion more than once back in Smallville. You see one, you've seen them all," Chloe said indifferently.
"I'll have to take your word for it," Matt joked and they paused, remembering he couldn't see the mansion.
"How does that…work, exactly? You not being able to see?" Barry inquired and Matt smiled tightly.
"My other senses are heightened beyond super human. But, while I can't see the way you do, I still see something. It's…like a world on fire, I guess," Matt said and it was silent for a beat.
"I'm sorry. That must be rough," Barry said in compassion and Matt smiled tightly.
"It is, but everything works out in the end. I lost my sight, but I became Daredevil, I get to help countless people. And, if Chloe's right, I'm going to help save the world. So maybe everything worked out the way it was meant to," Matt said before pausing. "They're coming."
All conversation stopped as Charles wheeled out, followed by Logan and Ororo.
"Hello, I'm Charles Xavier. But I have a feeling you already know that. This is Ororo Monroe, also called Storm, and Logan, also called Wolverine," Charles said, eying the trio curiously.
"Hello, Professor Xavier. I'm Chloe Sullivan. This is Barry Allen and Matt Murdock," Chloe said as she made the introductions.
"You said you had Intel on Magneto," Logan noted and Chloe nodded.
"I do. But I'd rather do this with the rest of the X-Men…and Nick Fury," Chloe said, smiling when the three X-Men looked at her in surprise. "I'd rather only say this once."
Not long after, Chloe, Barry and Matt stood with the X-Men, sans Scott and Kurt, and Fury, Chloe having just finished her story.
"So let me get this straight. A magic helmet lets you see the future," Logan deadpanned.
"Logan is right, it is hard to believe," Ororo pointed out.
"Not for Mr. Fury, right?" Chloe said with a glance at Fury. "Not after the Justice Society."
"Justice Society?" Kitty asked as they all looked at Fury, who regarded Chloe carefully for a few moments before speaking.
"The Justice Society was a group of heroes that operated in the 80's and early 90's. One of their members was Kent Nelson, who could use a helmet to see into the future," Fury explained as Logan looked at him in disbelief.
"So this helmet is real?" Logan asked incredulously.
"As real as Thor and mutants," Fury confirmed.
"You said you had Intel on Magneto," Rogue reminded everyone as they turned back to Chloe.
"I do," Chloe confirmed with a nod. "One of the things I saw when I put on the helmet is that Magneto is being influenced by something. Something far worse than him."
"Worse than Magneto. Not a high bar," Bobby pointed out and Chloe smiled tightly.
"Whatever Magneto was before, what's influencing him now is far worse. Tomorrow night, Magneto is going to attempt to assassinate a high ranking general that's spearheading The Accords. My uncle, Sam Lane," Chloe explained.
"'Makes sense. The Accords target people like us," Ororo noted.
"I'm no fan of The Accords, but Magneto killing one of their biggest champions won't stop them. It'll only convince the world that The Accords are necessary," Barry pointed out.
"Hate to admit it, but he's right. We can't let Magneto kill Lane," Logan said disgruntled.
"So we have to save him," Kitty said sourly.
"My uncle isn't a bad man; he's just coming at The Accords from a different perspective. He'll be in Metropolis," Chloe said and the X-Men exchanged a surprised glance. "What?"
"Well, you're in luck. We were just about to head to Metropolis ourselves," Ororo explained.
"Give me some time to prepare my students. We will leave tomorrow morning," Charles declared.
Arrow lair
Not long after
As Felicity was on the computer, behind her, Oliver and Roy trained with Escrima sticks.
"Prometheus must really hate you if he killed Brick just for trying to kill you," Roy noted as he tried to strike Oliver only for Oliver to block him.
"I'm more concerned with who he is rather than why he's doing this," Oliver said as he pushed Roy back.
Oliver tried to strike Roy only for Roy to bring up an Escrima stick, blocking him. Oliver paused, taken back to six years earlier, when he'd performed the same move on Slade.
Roy took advantage of his distraction, pushing back and striking him on the hand, causing him to drop the sticks.
"You always said to take advantage of an opening," Roy shrugged and Oliver chuckled.
"Yeah, I did," Oliver acknowledged as he picked up his weapons. "You've come far in the last nine months. Just don't let it go to your head. There's always someone better out there."
"You have no idea," Sara said as she walked down into the lair.
"Hey, how'd it go with your dad?" Felicity asked as the others all looked up.
"Brickwell's phone was taken from the evidence before it even got loggged. And the fact that it wasn't long before Brickwell was killed-"
"Prometheus is likely involved," Oliver agreed.
"Okay…and how does that help us find him?" Roy asked.
"Felicity, if you had the number of the phone, could you track it?" Sara asked and the other blond nodded.
"In a second," Felicity confirmed.
"Good. My dad is gonna bring one of the guys arrested with Brickwell to the back alley tonight. What do you say we...persuade him to give up the number," Sara said with a glance at Oliver, who smirked.
"I like the sound of that."

In a mansion, Harry Osborn was on the phone, talking to some investors when someone knocked on the door to his room.
"Excuse me," Harry said before turning to see the butler walking in. "What is it?"
"You have a guest, Master Harry."
Not long after, Harry walked into the foyer, seeing Peter waiting there. For a long moment, it was silent.
"Peter Parker," Harry said with a laugh.
"Hey, Harry. I heard you were back in town and I just wanted to see, see how you were doing," Peter said.
"You got braces off," Harry said after a moment, grinning. "Now there's nothing to distract from your unibrow."
Peter laughed before the two walked over to one another, embracing each other tightly.
"It's good to see you man," Peter said as they released each other.
"Harry, I heard you had a visitor. Who was…"
The two paused, looking over to see Norman standing in the doorway to the room, taking in the scene.
"Dad, you remember Peter," Harry said after a moment.
"Hi, Mr. Osborn. I just dropped by to see Harry. You two probably have some important business to discuss, so I guess I'll see you later Harry," Peter said, moving to leave.
"Peter," Norman spoke up and Peter paused. "Why don't you join us for dinner. It'll be good for Harry to have a friend nearby.
It was phrased as a suggestion, but it was clear to both that it was a demanded. Peter subtly glanced at Harry, who nodded subtly.
"Sure, Mr. Osborn. I just have to call my Aunt and let her know I won't be home for dinner," Peter said, not seeing the harm.
News of Prometheus and Barry's team up with Spider-Man is spreading while Peter reunites with Harry and Norman.
The flashback was meant to show why Oliver started using trick arrows, once again something the Arrow writers dropped the ball on.
Yes, Fury knows about the Justice Society. How he knows will be revealed later on.
Let's be honest, Magneto would be marked by Darkseid in a second.
Not a very exciting chapter, I know, but next chapter will really kick it up a notch. So until then.
