CHAPTER 258
Dianna groaned. Her body hurt. She was disoriented. She had been unconscious for a matter of minutes, and now that she was coming about she was trying to piece the events back together.
Dianna looked around. The office was a wreck. She was alone.
Leaning over the edge of the couch she saw her gun on the floor and reached to pick it up. As she grasped the midsection of the barrel she thought she heard a noise coming from the hanger. When she turned toward the hanger door she was shocked to see that it was gone, and in its place was a gigantic hole in the wall.
Dianna hugged the gun close to her and sat up on the couch. Her head spun a little, and she slumped back on the cushions. Putting a hand on her head she breathed deeply and sat back up. Another sound came from the hanger. Dianna was about to get up, but she got a strange feeling that something wasn't right.
She panned the office but saw nothing. Her eyes went to the broken front window. She still didn't see anything, but something was holding her attention there. She squinted. In the darkness and the light fog there was an eeriness, but it didn't seem to be anything more than that. Still, she could not look away. Something was out of place, and as the fog shifted she realized what it was.
Outside the window there was a dinosaur, another carnotaurus. It was Two Face.
Dianna froze. The carnotaurus was a good bit of a distance away. She wondered how long it had been there and if it had been watching her this whole time. With the fog, the darkness, and the distance she thought there might be a chance that the carnotaur was simply standing there. Dr. Johnson decided to take that chance, and she continued to sit in stillness. As she did, Two Face remained stationary as well.
As Dr. Johnson sat there hoping the carnotaurus would just leave there was a loud clang from the hanger, and Two Face perked her head.
