Chapter-16: Plans
Natsu landed in Velmorra, still in his Demon Form, his silver eyes glinting with the residue of the overwhelming power he had just unleashed. His feet hit the ground with a resounding thud, and Erza, Amaris, and the rest of the group rushed toward him.
"Natsu!" Erza called out, her voice filled with concern. "Are you okay?"
Gray, Juvia, Lucy, Gajeel, Laxus, and the rest of the team soon followed, their worried expressions mirroring Erza's. But before any of them could say anything else, Natsu stood silently for a moment, before bursting into laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" He stomped his foot and clapped his hands, his voice booming with uncontrollable joy. "BHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... TAKE THAT, ZEREF!"
Erza shook her head at his reaction. "So, it went well?"
Amaris, standing next to Natsu, smiled softly. "Yes. Alvarez won't be a problem for a few months, maybe even longer."
Natsu's laughter slowly calmed down, though his grin remained wide. "Yeah... that level of power... that was insane."
Amaris nodded in agreement, her eyes flicking briefly to Natsu. "It was. Your new form, the Sin Devil Trigger, gives you a 15x boost. And when combined with a Perfect Night, you get an additional 5x boost. With a full moon, you might reach a 7 or 8x boost."
Natsu nodded, his eyes then swept across the mages around him. "Alvarez's been dealt with for now, but it's time for all of you to catch up. I've got a few ideas for how to."
He turned to Elfman. "Elfman, I'm thinking of changing your magic. Instead of relying on Beast Forms, we'll try something like kinetic absorption and distribution. You've always been more about defense and strength, so we can channel those Beast Souls into a single form."
Natsu's gaze shifted to Laxus, Gajeel, and Gray. "You guys have your magic already, just keep improving on it."
Then, Natsu turned to Lucy. "Amaris already told you what we need to do for you, Lucy. It's time to get you to the next level."
He looked at Juvia. "Juvia, Amaris found a magic that's perfect for you. It's still water based, but better and more powerful. That's your next step."
Finally, Natsu locked eyes with Erza. "And you, Erza. It's time for you to forge your own Dragon Magic Type. No more relying on weapons. It's time to create something uniquely yours."
Erza nodded. "Amaris and I have already spoken about it."
"I've been working on it. I'll have it ready in a few days," Amaris replied, then looked at Lucy. "Natsu, you should take Lucy to the Celestial Spirit Realm. We need the Celestial Spirit King's approval for the Celestial Ascendance."
"We do? How are we going to get there?"
"I can use Space-Time Magic. Remember, Lucy?" Natsu chuckled, throwing his arm around her.
"Oh, Lucy, don't worry, Natsu won't bite… unless you ask him nicely. But I promise, you'd love it," Erza teased.
"Erzaaaa!" Lucy blushed, her face turning bright red. Natsu burst into laughter. Ever since Tenrou, Erza and Amaris had taken a particular interest in teasing Lucy.
Wendy tilted her head and looked at Mira. "What did Erza mean by that?"
"Erza was just being naughty," Mira smirked, "and she was catching Lucy thinking of being naughty too."
"I WAS NOT thinking of that!" Lucy protested.
"Then you should," Cana whispered in Lucy's ear, "If Erza's giving you the chance to get with Natsu, and even her, EVEN if it's a one-time deal, you should take it."
Cana continued with a grin, "Have you seen Natsu's body? You can grill meat on those abs, or grind yourself—"
"CANA!" Lucy exclaimed, her face flushed.
"Don't forget about Erza and Amaris either," Cana added with a sly grin. "They're part of Natsu's pack too, right? Don't you want to fondle those great boobs? Or at least have a bite of them?"
"CANA!" Lucy's face turned beet red, while Erza and Amaris giggled and winked at her. Mira, trying to hold her laughter, covered Wendy's ears.
"Is-is this normal?" Ultear asked Gray and Juvia, looking confused. "I'm starting to get mixed up about who's dating who."
Juvia giggled. "Natsu and Erza are dating, and Amaris is bonded to Natsu since he absorbed her. It's a bond similar to Erza's Dragon Mate Mark."
Gray chuckled, "We did tease Natsu that the bond wouldn't stay platonic for long, and we were right. As for Lucy… Well, she's Erza's best friend and one of Natsu's closest friends. Erza and Amaris started teasing Lucy about Natsu a few weeks before Tenrou. Something about Lucy walking in on them."
Hisui laughed sheepishly. "Sooo… he's dating both the Goddess and Titania?"
"Yeah, a Goddess and a Dragon," Gray replied with a grin.
Juvia giggled. "Give it a few days, he'll probably get Lucy too. She's clearly interested."
"You think so?" Wendy asked.
"Yes, definitely. Heck, almost any of the girls would if Erza and Amaris allowed it. Excluding Natsu's looks and power… ever since that music festival, he's been getting quite a bit of attention."
Lisanna nodded. "Well, Natsu's always been handsome, and his personality was always charming once you got past the cluelessness and destructive behavior. But the way he's been acting the past year, more mature and even flirty, has definitely gotten the girls to see what they missed."
"Didn't you like him when you were kids?" Gray asked with a raised eyebrow.
"We weren't in love, but I did like him," Lisanna admitted. "When I got back from Edolas, I figured Erza was already in love with him. It was pretty obvious. Besides, I think Natsu might break me," she added, blushing slightly.
Gray shuddered. "I don't think I wanted to know the last part."
Juvia chuckled. "Erza and Amaris have always been rather open… Natsu's… talented, to say the least. The way Erza talked about him? I haven't seen her speak so passionately or lewdly about anything— not even strawberry cake."
As the group shared a laugh, the mood lightened, but there was still an underlying tension, as if everyone was anticipating the next big challenge that awaited them.
Next day
Natsu lounged on a couch in his, Amaris's, and Erza's private chamber in the palace. Amaris sat beside him, her legs elegantly crossed over each other, wearing a thin, slightly revealing robe tied loosely around her waist, emphasizing her figure.
"Love, I fail to see why you called me here," Natsu remarked with a smirk. "You look like you want to trash the bed. So, are we going to do that, or… ? If you want to, we can cuddle or talk, But that's quite the distraction you have for me."
Amaris gazed at him with her galaxy-like eyes, her hair now glowing a soft, luminous pink. She raised an eyebrow and teasingly replied, "You want a peek?" She made a playful motion to open the robe.
Natsu chuckled, leaning back. "We both know how that ends."
"Patience, love, patience," she teased, a mischievous smile forming on her lips.
The sound of footsteps echoed from their wardrobe, and Natsu's attention shifted.
Erza entered the room, her presence commanding the air. Star-like rays seemed to bend around her, casting an ethereal glow on her figure. Her regal, flame-patterned hair was tied back in a high ponytail, streaks of scarlet and gold flickering at the tips like an eternal flame. Her bangs cascaded over her forehead, leaving only her radiant, star-patterned eyes visible, glowing with the ancient power of dragons.
Her flawless, pale skin shimmered with an otherworldly energy, a subtle aura of scarlet and gold surrounding her every movement. Her body, more powerful and voluptuous than ever, radiated strength and grace. Each step she took seemed to flow with an elegant power, showcasing her transformation.
Erza was clad in an outfit that blended warrior and celestial aesthetics. Her black skirt and calf-length, slit dress moved fluidly, revealing a smaller skirt beneath. Black stockings reached her mid-thighs, while high-heeled greaves adorned her legs, accented with intricate golden details that shimmered like dragon scales. The greaves weren't just for show—they amplified her combat skills, preparing her for battle.
Her dark top, which exposed her stomach and lower back, was crafted from enchanted material. Fingerless black gloves covered her arms, with armored forearms designed to enhance her swordplay. The gloves were an extension light, yet protective. Around her neck rested a white-scaled scarf—Natsu's scarf.
The final touch was the pair of sun-shaped earrings that dangled from her ears, glowing faintly with the power of the sun—symbolizing the fire within her.
Natsu leaned forward, his gaze sweeping over Erza from head to toe. "...What a surprise."
"You like it?" Erza asked with a playful smile, her eyes glimmering.
Natsu raised an eyebrow, leaning back in his seat. "Come here,"
"Ask nicely," she teased, her voice light and amused.
Natsu's gaze softened, a mixture of possessiveness and love behind his eyes. He studied her carefully, his smile growing. "Your body… it's changed."
Erza raised an eyebrow. "In a good way, I hope?"
He chuckled, giving her a once-over. "Your hair and eyes are the same, but your breasts are bigger. So are your ass and thighs," he said shamelessly, grinning as he watched the blush rise on her cheeks.
Erza, clearly flustered, crossed her arms, trying to hide her embarrassment. Natsu couldn't help but smile at her reaction.
"Did you finish your own magic?" he asked, his tone shifting to something more curious.
She nodded, her smile widening. "Last night."
A silence settled over the room, the atmosphere charged with anticipation. Amaris glanced at Erza with a silent motion of her eyes, and Erza smiled knowingly. She stepped toward Natsu, her movements slow and deliberate, causing his eyes to roam over every curve of her form.
"Cheeky," Natsu murmured, a grin tugging at his lips.
Erza's fingers lightly traced his jaw as she leaned down, her voice soft yet teasing. "Complaining?"
Without a word, Natsu's right hand gently cupped her face, pulling her into a kiss, while his left arm encircled her waist as she climbed onto his lap.
Breaking the kiss, Natsu let out a low chuckle, his hands trailing up her thighs, his gaze never leaving her. "Gods…" he muttered, his fingers gently teasing her curves. "They DID get bigger… or is it thicker?"
Amaris floated gracefully around them before settling down to Natsu's left. She and Erza exchanged a quick kiss, their lips lingering for a moment, before Amaris turned to Natsu and drew him into one as well.
"Do you like it?" she asked, her voice soft but filled with expectation.
Natsu chuckled, his grin widening. "I look forward to testing if there are any differences."
Erza smiled, her fingers gently guiding his right hand to her breasts. "Do you?"
"I am," Natsu replied with a teasing grin.
Amaris tossed aside her robe, turning fully toward Natsu. Her hands trailed down his chest and shoulders, her voice low and sultry. "Well then, my love, let's get to—"
Before she could finish, the door swung open with a gasp.
Erza and Amaris both glanced at the newcomer, their expressions playful, with Natsu's hand still resting on Erza's breast.
"Hey, Lucy," Amaris greeted, completely unfazed by her nudity.
"Hello, Lucy, enjoying the view?" Erza added, her tone teasing.
Lucy's face turned a deep crimson. "I—no, didn't mean to—"
Natsu chuckled, leaning back slightly. "You two planned this, didn't you? To tease poor Lucy?"
"Perhaps~" Erza purred, her grin widening.
Lucy stammered, trying to look anywhere but at them. "We—we were supposed to go to the Spirit Realm…"
"We are," Natsu replied smoothly, "seems like the Goddess and Dragoness had other plans."
Amaris flashed a playful grin. "You can join us if you wish, Lucy~"
Lucy's face turned an even deeper shade of red. "Too early!" she exclaimed, her voice almost cracking.
"So, you want to wait a few more days?" Erza teased, her grin growing more mischievous. "Or do you want to see Natsu in action before—"
Lucy quickly covered her face in embarrassment. "Ahhhhhh! I'll wait for you outside! You better be dressed, Natsu!"
Natsu smirked as Lucy hurriedly exited the room, her cheeks still flushed red. "Poor Lucy," he muttered, leaning back into his seat with a chuckle.
Amaris and Erza exchanged a knowing look, their smiles broadening. "She'll get used to it," Amaris said with a teasing wink. "Eventually."
Erza nodded, running a finger along Natsu's jawline. "It's not every day you walk in on us, after all."
Natsu leaned forward slightly, his gaze lingering on both of them. "You two are wicked," he grinned, "But, I like it."
Erza tilted her head, her eyes glinting with mischief. "You do, don't you? You always seem to enjoy our little... games."
Amaris hummed softly in agreement. "That's why you keep coming back for more, love."
Natsu raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You think you've got me figured out, huh?"
"I know you better than you think," Amaris teased, her hand running up his arm. "Now, where were we?"
Erza leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "We were about to have some fun, Natsu. But if you want to wait…"
Natsu smirked, pulling her closer. "Let's see just how much you've changed, Erza."
Amaris laughed lightly, the sound soft yet filled with affection. "I think we've got plenty of time to explore."
Erza's grin returned, her fiery aura intensifying. "Exactly. So, are you ready to test just how much stronger we are together?"
Natsu nodded, his hands resting on Erza's hips. "Always."
Later,
Later, Lucy walked out of the palace, her hands covering her face, a deep blush still staining her cheeks.
"Stupid, stupid Natsu!" she muttered under her breath, pacing as she tried to regain some composure.
"Hey, why is it my fault? I didn't plan it," came a voice from behind.
"AH! Where did you come from?" Lucy whipped around to find Natsu casually strolling toward her with a playful grin.
"They sent me out," he continued, shrugging. "They thought it'd be rude to make you wait until tonight."
Lucy groaned, her face turning an even deeper shade of red. "There's no way it'd last that long; it's only 9 in the morning!"
"There is," Natsu said with a chuckle. "Or do you want to see it for yourself?"
Lucy froze, her heart racing, and her blush deepened even further as she stammered, "I—I... Natsu!"
He grinned, clearly enjoying her reaction. "Come on, Lucy. You're not getting out of this that easily."
Lucy quickly turned away from him, doing her best to hide the overwhelming embarrassment. "I can't believe this is happening. I don't even know how to deal with you right now!"
Natsu's laughter echoed behind her as he caught up, walking alongside her. "You'll get used to it. Amaris and Erza sure seem to enjoy it."
Lucy shot him an exasperated glare, though the blush on her face still hadn't faded. "I wasn't ready for… that."
"Well, no one ever is," Natsu teased with a grin, nudging her playfully. "But hey, when you're around us long enough, you'll start getting the hang of things. Don't worry about it."
Lucy let out a frustrated sigh, but despite herself, she couldn't suppress the small smile tugging at her lips. "You're impossible."
"Impossible to resist," Natsu quipped, winking at her. The look in his eyes only made her groan, rolling her eyes as she tried to keep her composure.
The two of them continued walking toward the entrance of the palace, the air filled with an awkward yet lighthearted tension as Lucy struggled to maintain her cool while Natsu teased her endlessly. It was a moment of normalcy in the midst of everything that had happened recently, and despite the teasing, Lucy couldn't deny that there was a certain comfort in being around him.
Celestial Spirit Realm
The Celestial Spirit Realm stretched endlessly, a boundless expanse of shimmering stars and swirling galaxies. Tiny planets, no bigger than houses, floated gracefully, while larger ones, the size of cities, held grand structures that sparkled with ethereal light. The most striking feature was a colossal, temple-like structure suspended in the heart of the realm—a majestic beacon in this cosmic tapestry.
Suddenly, an X-shaped tear appeared in the fabric of space and time. It shimmered and expanded, forming a glowing portal. From within, Natsu and Lucy leapt out, landing softly on the glowing platform below.
"Wow…" Lucy's voice was filled with awe as she turned, her eyes wide as they took in the breathtaking view. "It's like… an open galaxy."
Natsu let out a low whistle. "Nice. Kinda reminds me of Amaris's realm."
"Lucy! Natsu!" A familiar voice called out. They turned to see Loke approaching, his golden mane shining brightly as he waved. "I could've come to get you, you know."
"Yeah, but I wanted to do it myself. I was bored," Natsu replied with a casual grin.
Loke shook his head, crossing his arms. "Only you would break space and time just because you're bored."
Natsu winked. "Glad we're on the same page. Now, let's meet this king of yours."
Lucy smiled, her excitement bubbling over. "Yes! Let's go!"
Loke led them through the magnificent temple, its towering columns and ornate decorations gleaming with cosmic energy. Along the way, several of Lucy's Celestial Spirits appeared to greet her.
"So you're finally doing it, huh?" Aquarius's voice was as sharp as ever, but there was a hint of pride in her tone.
Lucy nodded, a determined smile on her face. "I am."
"About time," Aquarius huffed, flipping her hair before disappearing in a splash of water.
After exchanging a few more words with her spirits, Lucy, Natsu, and Loke reached the end of the temple—a massive open balcony that seemed to hang on the edge of infinity. Stars glittered like diamonds in the distance, and a gentle hum of celestial energy filled the air.
They waited in silence, the atmosphere growing heavier with anticipation. Suddenly, a radiant light burst forth in the middle of the balcony. It was blinding yet warm, illuminating everything around them. The light expanded, growing brighter and larger until it coalesced into a towering figure.
With a deep, resonant voice that echoed through the galaxy, the Celestial Spirit King manifested. His form was immense, a shimmering amalgamation of light and power.
First Celestial Spirit
Creator and Father of the Golden Zodiac and All Celestial Spirits
Protector of the Celestial Spirit Realm
Will of Celestia
The Celestial Spirit King
The Celestial Spirit King was an awe-inspiring figure, towering over 300 feet tall. His body was encased in resplendent armor that shimmered with cosmic energy, and a massive crimson cape flowed behind him like a river of stars. His piercing red-glass eyes glowed with ancient wisdom, and a magnificent, sweeping mustache framed his face. Horns curved forward from his ornate helmet, and at the center of his forehead rested a radiant star, pulsating with celestial energy.
"Welcome, Lucy Heartfilia. Welcome, Natsu Dragneel, Son of Igneel," the King greeted, his voice a deep, resonant echo that filled the entire realm. Despite his imposing stature, his tone was warm and friendly, carrying a sense of familiarity and kindness.
Lucy bowed respectfully, her voice reverent. "It is an honor to finally meet you, sir."
The King smiled in return, his expression softening. His attention then turned to Natsu, who stood tall and made no motion to bow. Far from offended, the King seemed intrigued by Natsu's unyielding gaze.
"Is there something you wish to say or ask?" the King inquired, his curiosity evident.
Natsu nodded, unphased by the celestial being's presence. "Sorry for staring, I was trying to figure out what you are—an evolved God or a Demon?"
The King chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that resonated in the air. "Ah, I am not surprised you are aware of how we higher beings came to be. As for your question, I was created by a God who evolved from a Demon—the Goddess Celestia. It was she who forged this realm and brought me into existence."
"I see," Natsu said, his gaze sharp and inquisitive. "So you're like a Primordial Celestial Spirit?"
"Precisely," the King affirmed with a nod.
Natsu's expression relaxed, satisfied with the answer. "Alright, I'm done with questions for now. I take it, you already know why we're here?"
The King nodded solemnly before shifting his gaze to Lucy. "You are here to gain the Celestial Ascended Body, specifically to receive my approval for it."
Lucy stepped forward, her determination shining in her eyes. "Our world is in grave danger—both from internal conflicts and the looming threat of the Demon Realm. I want to do my part and become as strong and as useful as I can. I am ready to face any test you set for me."
The King's smile grew, his immense presence softening. "There is no need for tests. You have already passed them."
Lucy blinked in surprise. "I… I have?"
"I have observed how you treat my children," the King explained. "I have seen your heart, your resolve, and your kindness. You are more than worthy of this gift."
"T-thank you," Lucy stammered, deeply moved by his words.
"However," the King continued, his tone growing serious, "I have a request."
"What is it?" Lucy asked without hesitation.
The King's glowing eyes narrowed slightly. "On Earthland, there has been an attempt to gain the Celestial Ascended Body without my approval. Zeref's influence is clear in this. A girl—whose identity I am uncertain of—possesses the remaining Golden Keys that you lack. She may be acting of her own volition, or she may be manipulated. The Spirits have reported no abuse, but it is dangerous for her to wield such power in Zeref's name."
Lucy's expression hardened, her resolve unwavering. "I will find her. I'll do everything I can to help her—and protect the spirits from Zeref's madness."
The King smiled once more. "Thank you, Lucy Heartfilia."
Raising his immense hand, a brilliant light appeared, forming into a radiant orb. The light shot forward, enveloping Lucy in its warmth.
"It is done," the King declared.
Natsu raised an eyebrow. "That's it? That quick?"
The King chuckled. "The process is simple, as it was already halfway complete. Your bond with the spirits and the progress you've made ensured the rest was merely a formality."
Lucy stood, a newfound energy surging through her veins. She looked at her hands, feeling the immense celestial power coursing through her.
"Thank you," she said again, bowing deeply.
"Go forth, Lucy Heartfilia, and use your gift wisely," the King said, his voice filled with pride.
Natsu smirked. "Guess that's our cue. Let's get moving, Lucy."
She nodded, her heart set on the challenges ahead.
With Natsu and Gray, a few days later
Natsu and Gray followed Ultear and Princess Hisui through the dense forest. The anticipation of meeting the elusive Order of Tenebrae Susuri hung heavy in the air. The morning sunlight filtered through the trees, casting long shadows that danced with the wind.
"So, they've helped before?" Gray asked, his tone curious but guarded.
Ultear nodded, her gaze steady. "A few times. But as I've mentioned, they're spread across the entire planet. Their focus isn't solely on Fiore."
"Regardless," Hisui interjected, her royal demeanor unwavering, "their aid has been invaluable. On more than one occasion, we would have been completely wiped out without them."
Natsu smirked. "How strong are they?"
"Very," Hisui replied. "From what we know, even the weakest among them would rank at the higher end of SS-Class. Some members go far beyond that—into uncharted levels of power."
Natsu grinned, his excitement evident. "Good." His sharp eyes locked onto a small house coming into view through the forest canopy. "That the place?"
"Yes," Hisui confirmed.
The group approached the house. It was unassuming—a modest structure with a thatched roof, smoke rising lazily from its chimney. Inside, the room was warm and inviting. Simple chairs and two large couches surrounded a crackling fire, and a table was set with an array of food.
Natsu took a deep sniff, his senses on high alert. "Doesn't smell poisoned."
"They're trustworthy," Ultear reassured him.
"You blame me for being cautious?" Natsu countered, raising an eyebrow.
Ultear chuckled softly. "Not at all."
The group settled onto the seats and couches, the warmth of the fire easing the tension in the room.
"So," Gray began, glancing around, "where are they?"
A smooth, teasing voice answered from behind him. "Impatient aren't you, Fullbuster? This feels familiar."
Member of The Order of Tenebrae Susuri
Elder of the Obscura Concord
4th Seat of the Obscura Concord
Leader of the Dragon Branch
Ancient Dragon Hunter
Storm Dragon Slayer
Veyra Vanbrant
Gray reacted instinctively, summoning an ice spike in an instant and aiming it at the source of the voice. From the shadows, a tall and imposing figure stepped forward, her movements fluid and confident, exuding an air of authority.
The woman chuckled, her tone laced with amusement and approval. "Good reflexes, Fullbuster."
Gray lowered the ice cautiously, his eyes narrowing in scrutiny. "You're one of them?"
"I am Veyra Vanbrant," she announced. "Leader of the Dragon Branch."
Natsu leaned back on the couch, arms crossed, his sharp eyes locked onto her. "You're a dragon," he stated, his tone more an observation than a question.
Veyra smirked, the faintest flicker of lightning dancing in her eyes. "Correct, Silver-Eye," she responded smoothly. "I am one of the Dragon Slayers who survived Acnologia's rampage 400 years ago."
Natsu tilted his head slightly, his expression unreadable. "And one who went through Dragonification, right?"
Veyra's smirk widened. "Correct again."
Before anyone could respond further, a second presence made itself known.
Member of The Order of Tenebrae Susuri
Second in Command of the Demon Branch
Apprentice of Alucard
Thayra the Bloodbound
A Blood Devil Slayer
A smaller figure appeared, her steps silent as a shadow. She was a petite woman, standing no taller than 5'3", with dark red hair cut short and vibrant crimson eyes that seemed to glow faintly in the dim light. She wore a sleek black bodysuit, her movements revealing the grace of a trained assassin. Draped over her shoulders was a dark red cloak, its folds concealing an arsenal of daggers and hidden weapons.
She stopped beside Veyra, her lips curling into a sly smile. "Greetings. I am Thayra, Second in Command of the Demon Branch."
Gray's eyes narrowed, and he pointed a finger at her, his tone direct. "You're a demon."
Thayra chuckled softly, her voice carrying an almost musical quality. "Perceptive, just like your friend." She gestured toward Natsu. "Yes, I am. Demonification—same story."
Natsu tilted his head slightly, curiosity lighting up his silver eyes. "So, you're a Blood Devil Slayer."
Thayra smiled, her tone carrying a hint of pride. "Indeed. You can read my magic core?"
"Yes," Natsu replied simply, his tone calm but focused.
"An impressive skill," a deep, commanding voice interjected from behind him.
Natsu didn't flinch, even as he sensed the cold steel of a gun barrel pressed against his neck. In an instant, the 'Natsu' in front of them shattered like glass—merely an illusion. The real Natsu appeared behind the tall man who had spoken, his twin guns, Ebony & Ivory, drawn and aimed with precision.
The tall man turned around calmly, unfazed, and matched Natsu's stance with his own pair of guns.
A fanged grin spread across the man's face as his glasses slipped slightly down the bridge of his nose, revealing glowing red eyes.
Natsu's silver eyes glowed in response, his grin just as wide, carrying a subtle yet unmistakable edge of demonic energy.
"Alucard!" Veyra's voice cut through the tension. "Sit down!"
Neither man moved for a moment, their predatory gazes locked. The room seemed to hold its breath, and Gray's hands began to radiate cold energy in preparation for a fight.
After what felt like an eternity, Alucard lowered his guns first, his grin unshaken. "E.N.D... what a guy."
Natsu didn't lower his guns immediately, his gaze scrutinizing the man in front of him. When he finally holstered his weapons, his grin grew wider, a demonic aura flickering faintly around him. "Well, I know who you are."
Member of The Order of Tenebrae Susuri
Leader of the Creature of the Night and Demon Branch
Vampire Slayer
Demon Slayer
Hunter of all Night Creature
A Once King of Vampires
The Ultimate Undead
Alucard
"The first fucking vampire," Natsu said, his tone laced with dark amusement. "Dracula himself."
"I go by Alucard now," the man corrected, his grin never wavering.
"Dracula spelled backward?" Natsu asked, his own grin mirroring the vampire's.
Alucard chuckled, a low, rich sound carrying both mirth and menace. "It's always entertaining when someone catches on. Most are too busy trembling in fear to notice."
"Well," Natsu said, his voice steady, his grin fierce. "I'm not just anyone, am I?"
Alucard's grin widened further, his red eyes glowing brighter. "No, you're not. This is going to be... interesting."
"Gods fucking damn it, Alucard!" Veyra interjected, her voice sharp and exasperated. "Why do you always have to pull this shit?"
Alucard smiled innocently, though his fangs made it anything but. "Relax, Boss, I was just having some fun."
"Fuck you, Alucard," Veyra shot back, her tone deadpan.
"After we're done here, I promise—"
"I will throw you into the most powerful storm I can conjure," Veyra interrupted, her glare fierce.
Alucard chuckled, turning slightly toward Natsu to whisper conspiratorially, "You see what I have to deal with? That woman has zero sense of humor."
"I don't have a sense of Alucard," Veyra retorted without missing a beat, crossing her arms.
"Well, that's your problem," Alucard quipped, his grin never faltering.
Natsu laughed, clearly enjoying the dynamic between the two. "You two are like an old married couple. It's hilarious."
Veyra groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose. "I don't get paid enough to deal with this."
"You don't get paid at all," Alucard added with a smirk.
"Exactly!" Veyra snapped, throwing her hands up in mock exasperation.
Gray, who had been silently watching the exchange, muttered under his breath, "What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?"
"I don't know, but it looks entertaining," Natsu added with a grin.
Gray shook his head, exasperated. "Well, can we get started?"
Alucard sat down, still grinning, and Veyra followed suit, her glare still aimed at him. "Yes. First things first," Veyra began, turning her focus back to Natsu. "It was you who placed those curses on Alvarez, right?"
"Yeah, me and Amaris," Natsu confirmed casually.
Veyra nodded. "It will keep them out for a few months, but not all of them were in Alvarez."
"I figured I might have missed some, but the worst were there," Natsu replied. "Who did I miss?"
"Invel Yura, the Winter General, and Jacob Lessio, Alvarez's top assassin. They're both members of the Spriggan Twelve. They were planning to come to Ishgar," Veyra explained. "But they're not the only ones you need to worry about."
"The Three Subdivisions of Asgard Division are all powerful," Hisui added.
"We figured that, which is why I took Alvarez out of the equation for now, enough for us to close the gap in power." Natsu said.
"A good call," Veyra agreed. "Out of the Subdivisions, I'd say the weakest might be the Hunters. The Demon Division has Mard Geer and Raze, who are tremendously powerful, but the rest of the Demons don't quite reach their level. The Dragon Division is more dangerous. I doubt the leaders are as powerful as Mard Geer and Raze, but they have more members, many with considerable power. Meanwhile, the Demon Division's strength is mainly focused on Mard and Raze."
"Okay, good to know," Natsu replied.
"And lastly, the Asgard Division itself," Veyra continued, her tone turning more serious.
"They have members?" Gray asked, surprised. "I thought it was just a name for all three divisions combined."
"No," Veyra clarified. "They're a division of their own, and they're the biggest problem. The members are Demons, but not Demons of Zeref."
"Demons of Hell?" Natsu asked, his mind racing. "The ones who escaped seven years ago when I killed Bayle?"
Alucard interjected. "Yes, those demons. We don't know exactly how Zeref managed to get them to work for him… Over the last seven years, I've been hunting their leader across the planet. It was only recently that we discovered he was working with Zeref."
"I take it he's very dangerous?" Natsu asked, his tone darkening.
"He is," Thayra confirmed, her expression grim. "Alastor and Azazel are two names you might recognize. There was also Ifrit, but we killed him a few years ago."
"Alastor and Azazel? Those are… big demons… And old ones," Ultear added, her brow furrowing.
"And they're not the worst," Alucard continued, his voice taking on a heavier tone. "The leader of this group is Cain."
"Cain? A bit more detail?" Hisui asked, leaning forward.
"THE Cain," Alucard said, his voice thick with gravity. "The First Murderer. The First Human Turned Demon. A primordial human who existed before Death came to this realm." His eyes darkened. "Cain is a powerful demon. I still can't understand how Zeref managed to get him to work together with the others."
"This makes Zeref even more dangerous than we thought," Natsu muttered, his fists clenched. "But… the seal on the Demon Realm should stop the more powerful demons from passing through, right?"
"Cain, while powerful, is not at the top of the Demon Realm," Alucard explained. "Besides, all of them surrendered a vast amount of their power when they passed into this realm. We don't know how much of that power they've regained, but we do know that whatever Cain and Zeref are planning has to do with the Demon Realm."
"Does Alvarez really span all over the planet?" Natsu asked, his curiosity piqued.
"All over, but not Guiltina," Hisui answered. "At least, that's what I know."
Alucard smiled, the edge of his grin unsettling. "The Six Dragon Gods reside there."
"Six… Dragon Gods?" Natsu asked, his eyebrows furrowing.
Alucard nodded. "Dragons. True Dragons, not Dragon Slayers. All of them are immensely powerful, but there's one in particular you should know about."
"Who?" Natsu asked, his interest sharpening.
"The only one of them who is both an actual God and a Dragon— the Dragon of Destruction." Alucard looked at Natsu directly. "His name is Ignia, son of Igneel."
Natsu's eyes widened, a mix of shock and confusion crossing his face. "Igneel had a blood son? He never mentioned it, from what I remember."
"Igneel was old," Alucard said, his tone carrying a weight of ancient knowledge. "Who knows when he fathered Ignia? Ignia only began to make himself known after the Dragon Civil War, but he's immensely powerful. The other Dragon Gods are all stronger than most Dragon Kings, but Ignia… He's on par with Acnologia. Far stronger than Zeref was before he took the Fairy Heart."
Veyra interjected, her voice cool and calculated. "Speaking of the Fairy Heart, do you know what it is?"
Natsu's eyes darkened as the weight of the question settled on him. "It's... Igneel's Lacrima. His power. But I don't know if it's all of it."
"That's... bad," Veyra said, her tone grave. "Igneel had a key role in the sealing of both halves of the Demon Realm. With his power, Zeref might have a way to open it, which would explain why Cain and the others are working with him."
Gray exhaled, his breath turning into visible mist in the tense air. "So, what's our move?"
Veyra glanced at him, a faint chuckle escaping her lips. "You remind me so much of your father."
"Excuse me?" Gray's confusion was evident, his brow furrowing.
"Oh, I see," Veyra said, a knowing glint in her eyes. "You must not know, then."
"Know what?" Gray's patience was wearing thin.
"Silver Fullbuster was your father, correct?"
Gray blinked. "Y-yes, he was."
Veyra's smile grew soft with nostalgia. "He was part of our Order long ago."
Gray's eyes widened in disbelief. "How? My dad never used magic."
Veyra's expression didn't falter. "Silver used external armaments to access Devil Slayer Magic. He wielded Ice, much like you, though he never fully embraced magic. After he retired, his connection to magic faded. Such things are common for mages who stop using their magic for long periods."
Gray stood there, stunned, as the revelation settled in. "My dad was part of this... Order? He never said a word about it."
Veyra's gaze softened, almost sympathetic. "Some things are better left in the past. Silver's time with us was a different chapter—one he chose not to revisit."
She paused for a moment, then refocused. "Now, back to our plans. We'll do our best to handle the Asgard Division for now."
Natsu's grin grew wider. "We'll take care of the other three divisions. Once we're done, we'll come back to assist you."
Veyra raised an eyebrow. "Do you have a plan for how to tackle them?"
"We've got some ideas," Ultear interjected confidently. "But we'll handle it, don't worry."
Veyra nodded, her demeanor shifting back to that of a determined leader. "Then we'll keep in contact. It's good to know you're ready." She stood up, signaling for the group to get moving. "Let's go."
As Veyra led the group to the next step, Alucard turned to Natsu, his smile a mix of amusement and anticipation. "One day, I want to fight you."
Natsu's own grin mirrored the vampire's. "Funny, I was about to say the same thing."
Alucard chuckled, eyes gleaming with the thrill of what was to come. "Glad to hear it. When the time comes, it will be a glorious fight."
