A human who is killed in his world is offered a second chance by a wise tortoise called Oogway. The human takes the offer and finds himself in a new world as a python. While in this new world he will make new friends, make enemies, learn to love and hate kung fu, and more importantly, have what he always wanted but never had back on earth. A meaningful life. 133. Chapter 133

I'm... still alive.

Still breathing. Still moving.

I feel... cold. Shivers through my spine.

Pain however courses throughout my entire body. It's like I'm wearing a suit of armor that's getting tighter by the second.

But that feeling pales in comparison to having a large green blade cutting you in half.

I'm still alive... But I should be dead. Or maybe I am and this is purgatory?

My body is whole yet I feel like I'm split in two.

I can't see anything. Wherever I am, it's pitch black. An occasional glimpse of green flashes in random spots but other than that, nothing.

Vipes? I don't know what happened to you, but if you're still out there somewhere... I'm sorry. Sorry I rushed on ahead and got myself into this mess. God knows what will happen to me but I hope, I really hope that you're okay.

Wait. What's this I'm feeling now? Is something pulling me?

Darkness is replaced with a blinding green flash. I try to yell out but there is no sound that passes my lips. And once my senses return I see myself in a field. I see... my body encased in Jade. I see several other creatures trapped in the same hellish prison I also suffer, being forced to look directly ahead. Directly towards HIM.

The yak responsible for what I am now. The cruel twisted smile he sports would make me squirm.

"Find Oogways students. And bring them to me."

My mind says no but my body gives it no choice. I slither out of his sight, obeying his command without question. The porcupine and badgers by my side follow.

I don't want to.

I really don't want to. But what else can I do?

Depression, covid, losing a job and thinking I couldn't give this story a good enough ending kept me away from this site for a very long time. But I did make a promise that I would finish this story. I'm sorry it had to take years for my confidence to finally return. This is a little filler chapter to let you guys know where I'm taking the story next. The next chapter will be much longer and much more exciting. We're in the home stretch now, and it will be finished. And thank you for your support and patience.
