Chapter 10 New Additions

In the months that followed the opening of the hotel and the big wedding, Dracula had noticed that Emily seemed slightly depressed. Sure she seemed happy with helping run the hotel and spend time with Dracula and Mavis, but Dracula sensed something was bothering Emily and he eventually pulled her to the side and asked her what was wrong. Emily first tried to deny whatever was bothering and brush it to the side, but Dracula pressed and Emily just decided to tell him what was bothering her. She wanted to have children to raise and grow up alongside Mavis, but due to being an undead she couldn't bear children.
Dracula decided to see if he could fix this in some way, so he took the issue to Elder Gutknecht who had a great deal of knowledge about monsters and all kinds of things. Elder Gutknecht thought deeply as he searched his vast knowledge and memory and he recalled a way for Emily and Dracula to have children by doing a spell and giving a part of themselves away.
The spell required one of Emily's rib bones, Dracula's blood, and hair from both Dracula and Emily. The items were mixed into a large bowl with some other exotic ingredients and Elder Gutknecht along with some witches chanted a spell. The rib bowl spun around the bowl and then it snapped in two! The other ingredients swirled around the two halves, until they began to form and take on a new shape. Soon the shapes solidified into two crying babies that had a mix of Dracula's and Emily's skin complexion. One was a boy and the other was a girl. Twins! Dracula and Emily were overjoyed by the site of their new children as they gently picked them up and comforted them. Mavis heard she had two new siblings and she was very excited.
The boy was named Victor and the girl was named Victoria. The Dracula family was incredibly happy with their new addictions.
