Chapter 20 Reveal

After the incident at the pool, Johnny brought Dracula and Emily to the side and asked about revealing his real identity to Mavis, Victor, Victoria, Frank, Wayne, Griffin, and Murray. Johnny had made bonds with those particular monsters, he had feelings feelings for Mavis, and he wanted to be truthful to them since he trusted them.
"The truths going to come out eventually and I'm not ok lying to everyone. Will find a private place to do the reveal and see what happens." Said Johnny.
"Fine. I suppose you're right. Mavis and the others deserve the truth." Said Dracula.
"I think we should bring Eunice, Ginger, Wanda, Crystal, and Cleopatra in on this. They have a right to know this as." Said Emily.
"Cool. I'm fine with that." Said Johnny.
A large private dinning room was selected for the reveal and the staff was told not to disturb the meeting going on inside. Mavis and the other monsters were summoned to the room and the doors were closed. The monsters were confused to why they were summoned. Johnny stood before the group along with Dracula and Emily.
"Attention everyone. We have something important we need to share with you." Said Dracula.
"I'm not who I claimed to be. I'm not Frank's cousin and I'm not a monster." Said Johnny before he pulled out a rag to wipe his face taking the makeup off and reveal his real skin and color.
The monsters gasped as they realized what Johnny really was. A human!
"Johnny's a human?!" Asked Frank in surprise.
"I am." Said Johnny.
"Why was he wearing makeup and made to look like a monster?" Asked Griffin.
"That was our doing. When Johnny first arrived here we, he didn't even know that we and the guests were monster and thought we were all wearing costumes, so we dressed him up as a monster and tried to get him out of the hotel before anyone noticed him, buy that didn't go as plan." Said Emily.
"What happened?" Asked Wanda.
"I met Mavis." Said Johnny looking at Mavis.
"They zinged." Said Dracula.
"What?" Said the monsters in surprise.
"Yeah we zinged." Said Johnny.
"So wait a minute you know we'd all monster and you're not freaked out by that?" Asked Wayne.
"I mean I was pretty freaked out about at first, but once I learned that none of you really wanted to hurt humans and just wanted to live and have fun I calmed down and went about getting to know you all. You're all pretty cool and I like you and I'm really sorry about lying to you about who I really was." Said Johnny giving the monsters a sincere and apologetic look.
The monsters were surprised by Johnny's response.
"I also really want to help reintroduce to the world so you don't have to hide in the shadows no more." Said Johnny.
"How so?" Asked Emily.
"Well I recently found out about a group in a village that really loves monsters and they throw a festival about monsters." Said Johnny bringing out the Monster Festival flyer and giving to Frank to look at and pass around.
"A Monster Festival." Said Dracula reading the flyer.
"Yeah if we introduce you to people who like monsters and they see the real you then they won't be afraid and they could spread the word to the rest of the people of the world." Said Johnny.
"It sounds risky." Said Emily.
"Yeah I get its a bit of the risk, so only a few of us should go and see how it plays out." Said Johnny.
"I think it's worth the risk." Said Mavis.
"Alright will give these festival people a shot, but if things go bad we're leaving." Said Dracula.
"Cool. I'm looking forward to this Mavis." Said Johnny.
"Yeah...I'm just going to need a little time alone to think about all this." Said Mavis.
"Cool. I understand and I get it you have a lot to think about." Said Johnny.
The two gave each other a smile and Mavis walked off. Johnny put on some makeup as the monsters talked about who should go to represent themselves at the Monster Festival.
