After the kitchen incident with Quasimodo, Dracula and Emily gathered up Johnny, Mavis, Frank, Wayne, Griffin, and Murray to prepare to set out to the Monster Festival. Dracula summoned the hotel staff to tell them he was setting out on a business venture and that if they had any issues or questions to take them up with Emily. The monsters, minus Mavis and Emily said some quick goodbyes before loading up into one of the hotel cars.

"Good luck out there, I really hope you succeed in making the humans see that monsters aren't a threat." Said Mavis.

"Thanks. And I promise you that I'll get your dad and friends back safely encase something goes wrong." Said Johnny before he got into the car.

The car drove off and Dracula put on a large sun hat and put some sunscreen on. Griffin drove the car as Johnny got his cellphone out and used it to help navigate the group to the village where the Monster Festival was. Roughly an hour or so later the group arrived at the village and the monsters were blown away at what they say. Humans dressed as Dracula, Frank, and other monsters, giant balloons of monsters, and various decorations and pieces of art of monsters. The humans attending the festival seemed to be huge monster fans!

"Well this is something you don't see everyday." Said Frank.

"This looks fun." Said Murray.

"So how exactly do we introduce ourselves?" Asked Wayne.

"I got an idea. You just stay in the car." Said Johnny as he got out.

The monsters watched as Johnny went over to a crowd of people and got their attention.

"Hey there my fellow monster fans, I got a real threat for you all. I got the real Dracula with me as well as some other real monsters!" Said Johnny.

"Real monsters? This I got to see." Said a man dressed as Dracula.

"Is this a joke?" Asked a woman dressed as a mummy.

"No joke. Come see for yourselves." Said Johnny leading the festival goers to the car.

Dracula and the other monsters put on friendly smiles as the crowd looked at them.

"I'll admit those are some good costumes, but how do we know that they're really monsters?" Asked the man dressed as Dracula.

"How about we show you something only the real genuine Dracula can do." Said Johnny looking at Dracula.

Dracula thought for a moment as he looked at the crowd. He focused his hypnotic powers on the man dressed as himself and the mummy woman and made them do a crazy dance with each other, much to the amusement and shock of the crowd. Dracula released the dancing pair and then turned into his bat form for all to see.

"He just made those people danced." Said a man dressed as a werewolf.

"Then he turned into a bat!" Said a woman dressed as a zombie.

"He really is Dracula!" Said the man dressed as Dracula.

"And those must be real monsters as well!" Said the woman dressed as a mummy.

The crowd cheered in excitement and the monsters felt a deep calming affect. The monsters had many run ins with mobs of angry and fearful people, but they had never experienced a crowd that was excited to see or meet them. The world had really changed over the years.

"Bring out a tent covering for Dracula as well as some umbrellas. Also let's set up some tables and chairs for the rest of our special guests." Said the man dressed as Dracula.

The crowd went to work bringing out a tent as well as some tables and chairs. The monsters were lead to the tent and sat down. For the next few hours people met the special monster guests, talked with them, asked various questions, take pictures, and got autographs. Dracula and his friends really enjoyed the attention and the humans really warmed up to them and treated them well. The monsters made sure to keep the hotel secret as well as the monster community, since they were still a little weary of how the humans might react if they learned about either one. Soon the festival came to an end and Johnny addressed the crowd.

"So this was really great. I'm glad you liked my friends and you saw what really good and cool people they were. Now go spread the word that monsters aren't a threat and are really good people." Said Johnny.

The festival goers quickly posted pictures on the Internet and updated their various social media accounts spreading the word. The monsters and Johnny loaded back up into the car, after saying goodbye and made sure no one was attempting to follow them, before heading back to the hotel.

To be continued.
