Chapter 25 Monster Announcement

Dracula, Johnny, Frank, Wayne, Griffin, and Murray headed back to the hotel after feeling great with their success at the Monster Festival. They arrived and were greeted by Mavis, Emily, Victor, Victoria, and the rest of the monster wives who were eager to hear how the mission had gone. Johnny and the monster man filled them in on the success and Mavis and the others were incredibly excited. This was the first major step for monsters to make peace with humans and join in on the rest of the world.
"So should we let the guests and the staff in on what happened and see if any of them want to go to the village to attend the Monster Festival?" Asked Emily.
"I guess we need to bring them all in on this. They need to know what is going on." Said Dracula.
"Alright!" Cheered Johnny excitedly.
Word quickly spread through the hotel to have the staff and the guests gather in the auditorium for a special announcement. The monsters all gathered together waiting for whatever kind of announcement Dracula had to make. Dracula appeared on a stage with Johnny by his side.
"My fellow monsters I have a important announcement to make. As you all know we've all had a bit of a negative history with humans. A whole lot of fear and angry mobs. Well I'm here to tell you that things have changed regarding humans. We no longer have to fear them." Said Dracula.
The monsters gasped in shock and talked among themselves. The idea of not fearing humans was alien to them. Dracula looked over at Johnny who was still wearing his monster disguise and nodded his head. Johnny pulled out a rag and wiped the makeup off his face revealing his true human self. The monsters stared at Johnny in utter shock. A human had been among them for days!
"Human!" Cried one monster.
"A spy! He must have told the rest of his kind and they're probably formed a angry mob and outside the hotel doors!" Cried another monster.
Before a panic could breakout, Frank got on the stage and loudly clapped his hands getting everyone's attention. Dracula addressed the monsters.
"You have nothing to fear from Johnny, he is a friend. Johnny came he by accident and he learned about us." Said Dracula.
"At first I was freaked out about learning monsters were real and all, but then I saw how great you all were and I totally stopped being afraid of you. Then I heard about all the stuff you had to deal with in the past and I wanted to help you out, so you can rejoin the rest of world." Said Johnny.
"My husband and the others went to a human event in a village called a Monster Festival and revealed themselves to the humans there. They had a good time and the humans were very welcoming. It's the first step to making life better for all monsters. With your help we can make that a reality." Said Emily.
"I know this is a lot to take in and that change is scary, but I'm tired of hiding in the shadows and living in fear. Our families and loved ones can all live in safety." Said Dracula.
"Are you willing to help us?" Asked Emily.
"It'll be a lots of fun." Said Johnny.
The monsters looked at each other and a few raised their hands. Dracula, Johnny, and Emily smiled. The more steps for monsters and humans living together in peace were made.
