(A/N): Hey Guys! So, this one's a little longer than the last one but not much longer, and if you have suggestions for what you want to see happen in fifth year, please put them in a review or send me a private message even, because your opinions mean everything to me.

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.

Leo

I spent most of the day in my bedroom, just hanging out with Mia.

After all, I didn't really have anything better to do.

Plus I had missed out on so much in her life...

We sat, shoulder to shoulder on the bed, back's pressed against the wall, just talking. Talking and laughing.

She reached out, scratching Vex behind his ears, and he stretched out, curling around her leg.

"He's so cute!" She cooed, and, looking at the wide grin on her face and hearing the loud purrs he was emitting for the first time since I had bought him back from Hogwarts, I squeezed my eyes shut for a second, decision already made.

"You can keep him if you want." Her head snapped up, and she stared at me with wide eyes.

"What-? Leo, he's yours though!" I looked down at him somewhat fondly.

"Cats hate vampires Mia. Really, you'd be doing both of us a favor." She hesitated for a second.

"Won't you miss him?" I flashed her a grin, dropping an arm around her shoulders.

"He's not going anywhere. Neither of you are." She beamed up at me, remembering just where we were, and the fact that she wouldn't have to go back to our mother's ever again.

"I'm glad you got me out there." She told me, curling further into my side, head buried in my chest before she paused. "I do miss them though. I just- I know I shouldn't, but..." I nodded slowly.

"I know Mia. They were my parents too, for seven years. Hell, despite her trying to kill me on a regular basis..." I took a deep breath and Mia lifted her head to look at me, waiting expectantly. "She's still my mother. I miss her, even though I know I shouldn't." She squeezed me tightly around the middle.

"Thank you Leo." She whispered.

At that moment, the Twins appeared in the doorway, making Mia jump as she noticed them, but I simply shrugged it off.

"Hey Leo." Danniel said carefully, something that was usually not to be expected of him, and I rolled my eyes.

"What do you want guys?" Jo flashed me a smile and stopped wringing her hands.

"Well... since Shari's currently... incapacitated, and we've never trained with Lisbet... we were hoping you could host some training today." My eyebrows shot up, and I could feel that Mia was confused.

"Training?" She inquired, looking to me for an answer.

"There's a war coming Mia." I told her, point blank, not really seeing any reason to sugar coat it for her.

"Oh... I knew that." Now it was my turn to look at her.

"You did?" She shrugged weakly, nodding.

"Yeah. Cipicia would never shut up about it, it was driving me nuts by the end. Something about, 'a revolution for magical folk everywhere'?" I cocked an eyebrow, glancing at the Twins, who looked equally as worried.

"It doesn't matter now. What matters is training the Twins to reach their optimal fighting ability." I said, trying to wave off the possibility of the very war my father has been training me for year after year was the same war my mother was now obsessed with.

"You're absolutely right Leo." Danniel piped up, after Jo elbowed him in the side, and Mia's eyes shot to him.

"You wanna watch?" I asked her, and she glanced at me, then back at the Twins and finally to me again.

"I'd love to."

(A/N): Yay, Vex is back!

...

For the first time in like, three years...

This chapter has had minor edits made to it on 15/2/24 - changed 'mom' to 'Cipicia', because not only would it be 'mum', Mia would never call her that. She's calling her by her first name as a sign of disrespect, basically.
