(A/N): Hey Guys! So, here's the next chapter, which IS them all returning to Hogwarts as promised, and is either the last or second last chapter I'm going to type up tonight on this stupid ipad. This chapter is slightly longer again, and since I don't have school tomorrow, I'll probably upload at least one more chapter tomorrow, seeing as I have up to chapter two hundred and forty four written up.

Disclaimer: I don't own dis, but I do own dis disclaimer. (It's a pun, I don't actually use 'dis' as a substitute for 'this')

Remus

Going back to Hogwarts was something I was looking forward to.

For one thing, I'd get to see my friends again. Often. For another, I wanted to know why Leo wanted Jonothan dead so much, and I knew the longer we were alone with him, the more likely he was to tell us- and with Hogwarts being practically inescapable... We'd know by the end of the month.

Of course, we had to get there first.

I arrived at the same time as Elaine did, due to strenuous planning, and we set off in search of Leo.

Other than the time he had been attacked and drugged, he was always on time, even early, sometimes. Walking the mostly empty corridors of the Hogwarts Express, we found him easily, sitting alone in one of the compartments, reading an unmarked book.

"Morning." He murmured, not even looking up as I pushed the door open.

"Where's Mia?" Elaine asked, and Leo sighed.

"She's in another compartment." He said. "Waiting for her friends." I nodded slowly.

"Look, Leo-" He cut me off, rolling his eyes.

"Don't want to hear it." We stared at him for a second, surprised.

"But-" He met our eyes, zipping his lips.

"No." He whispered, and Elaine scowled.

"Stop being such a jackass and just come out with it, Leonides." He winced at the use if his full name.

"How about you stop pushing it and not be so selfish, Ghislaine." Elaine's eyebrows shot up, and I stepped between them, holding my hands out for peace.

"Play nice you two." I scolded, and Leo bit his lip.

"Back off then, the both of you." I frowned slightly. "I don't want to talk about it, you should respect that." I nodded slowly.

"We know that Leo, but... Will you ever want to talk about it?" He sighed deeply, hesitating for a second before shaking his head.

"I don't even want to acknowledge it, Remus. But Elaine..." Her head snapped up, and he leaned forward to take her hands in his. "You're not selfish. I just... You need to give me some time." She paused for a second before taking the seat next to him.

"Alright." She murmured, leaning her forehead against his. "Whatever you need." Unfortunately, none of us had noticed as the door slid open.

"Glad to see that's still happening." Brooke said, and Leo pulled away from Elaine, smiling as he saw his girlfriend.

"Hey babe." Elaine's eyebrows shot up.

"'Babe'?" She mouthed to me and I shrugged, partially amused by Leo's new term of endearment for Brooke.

"Since when is 'babe' a thing?" He winced, and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly at her question.

"Should I go back to honey?" She pursed her lips, trying to hide a smirk.

"Try sweetheart next time, it's not as... Flamboyant." Leo rolled his eyes, grinning at her.

"Now, that just wouldn't be me, now would it?" She shrugged, pressing a kiss to his lips slowly and sweetly.

"No it wouldn't. I'll see you later, love." With that, she untangled his hands from hers, slipping out of the compartment as Lily entered.

"What did I miss?" She asked, glancing around at the three of us before after Brooke. "Did she say something? Why does Elaine look upset?" Leo and I glanced at Elaine, who blushed furiously.

"Stop staring at me, I'm not upset. I'm fine, really." Leo reached out, ruffling her hair.

"See? She's fine Lily, Damsel can take care of herself." Elaine frowned, avoiding his eyes.

"Don't call me that."

(A/N): So, what did you think?

Look, I know Elaine's acting a little cold at the minute, but you have to remember that no one knows Leo lost his dad, so they don't actually know what's wrong. And Leo's a little out of character because he's grief-stricken and I'm rusty because I've been writing more AU!Leo/Leonides than Leo lately, on the tumblr roleplay account.

This chapter has had minor edits made to it on 20/02/23 - I briefly switched to third person at the end? I said 'the three of them' instead of 'the three of us' and 'the two boys', when it's supposed to be Remus's POV, and he's one of those two boys, so I changed it to 'Leo and I'.
