(A/N): Hey Guys! Here's the next chapter, booyah!

Trigger Warning: Discussion of self harm.

Elaine

The look on his face didn't chance, but I saw a flash of anger in his previously dead eyes, and as his lips curled, baring teeth that were only currently blunt, I admit I could see the resemblance more obviously than ever.

"Leo-" I tried, but he cut me off as he pushed Sirius off the bed, and started to storm out. "Leo!" I called again, but he didn't even hesitate, disappearing out of the room and slamming the door shut behind him.

"Yeah, that went well."

Leo

After leaving the Gryffindor common room, I headed for the only place I could think to go- the Hufflepuff common room, to see Mia.

Of course, I didn't know the password, and thus resolved to wait for a Hufflepuff to want to enter their common room and sneak in with them.

The first Hufflepuff approached almost twenty minutes later, after a late night bender in the library judging by his book-laden bag, mumbled 'Lumpy Peanuts' and entered the common room. I wasn't far behind, using my vampire speed to get past him, through the common room and up to the third year girls dormitory without being noticed- or tripping the boy sensitive stairs.

I squeezed through the dorm door in the smallest gap possible, but the girls inside still looked up as it thudded closed. Mia was the only one to realize, and spin in time to watch the bathroom door do the same as I hid myself away in yet another loo.

"I have to go... yeah." Was Mia's ingenious excuse, and as soon as the door closed behind her, I ensnared her in a hug.

"Leo!" She scolded quietly, but it held no weight to me, seeing as she was wearing quite a wide grin. "You can't be here!" She whispered, pulling back to slap me on the shoulder lightly, like a kitten swatting at a fly.

"I know, I know, but... I just really need to talk to you." She raised an eyebrow at me, obviously surprised and even a little bit suspicious.

"Why not talk to Elaine?" I hesitated, then shook my head.

"She'd just freak out. Mia, you need to promise me you're not going to freak out about anything I tell you tonight." She seemed reluctant, but eventually agreed.

"Fine, I promise... Just don't give me a reason to freak out, okay?" I ignored that last comment, not wanting to make a promise I couldn't keep.

"Right, so, Brooke and I broke up earlier-" She gasped, and I held up a finger to silence her. "So I was crying, and Elaine came over to try to comfort me but we had an argument of sorts and she got up to leave but leaned on my stomach and I yelped- because she brushed these scars." The last part was quieter than the rest, and I lifted my shirt to show her the scars I had given myself in the bathroom a couple of days ago.

"Merlin, Leo- Are those-? Are those what I think they are?" She sounded devastated, perplexed and even a little scared, but there was no trace of anger in her voice.

"Probably." She eyed me warily, letting out a quiet little sigh.

"You're not going to do it again, are you?" She questioned, and when I hesitated, she gripped my shoulders and used them for leverage as she leaned up to kiss me on the cheek with a bit of difficulty. "Leo, you know I'm always here for you to talk to- and so are your friends. We love you Leo, we don't want anything to happen to you-" For some reason, that statement made me irrationally angry.

"Yeah, but guess what Mia? Things have happened to me, bad things- Our mother is a psychopath and so is my stepfather! My dad's a vampire, my dad's dead-" I froze for a second, the horror of that realization cresting over me like a glacial wind. "My dad's dead." Her expression softened even further than before, and she moved forward to catch me in a hug but I sidestepped her.

"I'm sorry Mia, I have to- I have to-" I couldn't finish that sentence so I just left, using my vampire speed and almost crashing into the portrait on the way out.

The thing I did crash into, however, was the last thing I wanted to see right now- that attended Hogwarts, anyway.

Severus Snape.

"What the fuck?!" Were, rather predictably, the first words out of his mouth, and I guess I hadn't been traveling at anywhere near my top speed, because otherwise he would be dead.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." The scowl that came onto his lips was sudden and honestly completely expected.

"Leonides." I winced at the reminded of my heritage, and couldn't muster my usual glare for him.

"Look, Sev, can we just... not do this right now? I'm not in a good place, and I honestly just might rip your head off if you make me angry." I said it so matter of factly that his eyebrows shot up, and after a few seconds, he drew his lips into a thin line and nodded. "Again, sorry for knocking you over." Then I was gone.

(A/N): So, what did you think?

I think this story would be a thousand times better if I used more UK slang, don't you? And Leo's life would be so much easier if he were a girl. At least, sneaking into peoples dorms would be easier.
