Back at the Hub, with the creature laid out on the autopsy table, more or less, Owen donned his lab coat and rubbed his hands together gleefully.
"Now, let's see what sort of thing this is."
Gwen stalked off, still angry at Owen's earlier callous behaviour, while Jack wandered down from his office to lean on the railing between Ianto and Tosh.
"What have we got?"
"No idea," Ianto replied. "Couldn't find a match in our database, or UNIT's."
"Looks sort of fishy. Wide mouth, smooth skin, finny things… Probably a water-dweller."
"That would explain why it died," Ianto said. "The Rift dropped it on Albany Road, no water in sight. Probably just as well though. We don't have a big enough tank."
Down below, Owen was examining the alien's mouth. "No teeth, just bony ridges." He pulled it wide open. "Look at the size of that! And people say I've got a big mouth." Leaning closer, shining a small penlight, he peered into the depths, then on a whim, stuck his head inside. "Hello in there!"
The mouth closed.
"Shit!" Dropping the penlight, Owen fumbled at the creature's jaws. "Help!"
Smirking, Ianto took a few photos. "Serves you right."
