"Be careful with these," Jack warned at he set a containment box on the table in the med bay.

Owen peered into the box at the half-dozen small, orange creatures that looked like a bizarre cross between a furry lobster and a set of bagpipes.

"Scared I'll damage them? I do know how to be gentle."

"Not from what I've seen," Ianto said, setting a second box beside the first, this one containing five creatures.

"Yeah, well, you lot are supposed to be tough; you don't need coddling." Owen reached into the first box and tried to grab one of the creatures, only to jerk his hand back. "Ow! Shith!"

"I did warn you to be careful," Jack pointed out. "They sting when they feel threatened."

Glaring at Jack and Ianto, who both seemed unscathed, Owen nursed his throbbing hand. "You could've told me that!"

"You didn't give me a chance." Jack looked at Owen's hand, which was already swelling around a puncture wound. "Bicarb should neutralise the sting. Just dissolve a spoonful in warm water."

Owen scowled. "How come you two didn't get stung?"

"We were very careful," Jack said, all innocence.

"And we wore gloves," Ianto added, smirking.
