Summary: Why shouldn't Torchwood enjoy some Easter festivities?

Ianto woke up in Jack's bunker to find himself alone. That wasn't an unusual occurrence, since Jack needed less sleep than regular humans, although these days, with a warm Ianto to snuggle up to, it was more common for him to remain in bed until his lover woke. Although he didn't physically need the sleep, he still enjoyed drowsing peacefully in his lover's arms.

Still, Ianto wasn't particularly surprised to find the bed beside him empty and cold. Dragging himself out from under the covers, he showered, shaved, and dressed before heading up to the Hub. Jack would no doubt be ready for coffee by now.

But Jack wasn't at his desk. There was, however, a gaily wrapped chocolate egg sitting on his blotter. Any other day, that might have been cause for concern, but then Ianto remembered it was Easter.

Stepping into the main Hub, he saw an egg on each workstation, and a few others scattered around; looked like Jack was planning a bit of fun. Then Ianto spotted the man himself. It was impossible not to, since Jack was dressed in an oversized sky-blue rabbit outfit, complete with long ears, and a tufty while tail attached to his rear. He was also carrying a large basket of foil-wrapped eggs, wandering around the Hub and hiding them wherever he could find a suitable spot.

"Taking over from the Easter Bunny, are you?" Ianto called out, amused.

"Ianto!" Jack turned to grin at him. "You're not supposed to be up yet!"

"Well, I am. Sorry if I've spoiled the surprise."

"You haven't, but no collecting eggs until the others get here."

"Wouldn't think of it. Nice outfit."

"Snuggles wanted to join in the fun."

The rabbit ears on Jack's head waggled merrily.

Ianto laughed. Semi-sentient blankets were surprisingly versatile.
