Summary: Ianto has discovered something a bit worrying.

"Jack? We may have a problem." Ianto perched in his usual spot on the edge of Jack's desk, frowning.

Setting his pen aside and leaning back in his seat, Jack gave his lover his full attention, recognising Ianto's serious tone.

"What sort of problem?" he asked, all business for once.

"I was just down feeding the Kneebles, and Mama Kneeble is incubating a clutch of eggs. Seventeen of them. I counted."

Now it was Jack's turn to frown. "How's that even possible? I though Owen neutered all the male babies."

"He did, all nine of them, and he doublechecked the gender of the other fourteen. Definitely female."

"In that case, we should be fine, the eggs are probably infertile."

"That's what I was thinking, but when I held one up to the light, I could see what looked like an embryo inside it."

"But if all the males were neutered, that shouldn't be possible!"

"I know, which is why I said we have a problem. Either female Kneebles can reproduce without the help of a male, or the neutering of one or more males failed."

"Or a female changed gender," Jack added.

"We could be facing a Kneeble population explosion."
