Down on the lowest level of the Millennium Centre's car park, off in one corner, there's a sign on the wall that says, in big red capital letters on a white background, NO PARKING. Some people might think it's a bit odd; the lowest level is where employees of the Centre, and of some other local businesses, park, and it's seldom so full an empty space can't be found, but the sign's there for a reason.
That section of wall is more than it appears. It, and the door beside it labelled Authorised Personnel Only, are the entrances to Torchwood's underground garage, where the SUV lives when not in use, and where the team park their own vehicles. The wall slides conveniently aside when a button is pressed on one of the team's key fobs; the rest of the time, it looks like any other bit of wall.
And now some bloody idiot has parked their car right in front of the NO PARKING sign, blocking the SUV in, just when the team need to head out and deal with a Weevil situation!
There's no time to mess about, but neither can they drive straight through the parked car, and Jack is fuming.
"We should slap a parking ticket on it!"
"That wouldn't do us much good at the moment," Ianto points out. Then, slipping out of the passenger seat, he approaches the vehicle, smiling. Sometimes, the skills he learned growing up on the council estate come in handy.
It only takes a couple of minutes to get the door open and release the handbrake. Then, with a little help from Jack, it's easy enough to roll the vehicle out of their way. Ianto leaves the driver's door wide open; it'll serve the owner right if someone steals their car.
