As per usual, someone was scheming and forming a plan to get revenge on someone in the village. Everyone else was living a blissful life, filled with family drama and hatred for those who lived at Homefarm.
"Did you bring them?" Gabby asked.
"Course" Jacob stated.
Liv nodded before she looked at Gabby "This is gonna work, right?"
"Obviously, anyone would be scared out of their minds if some fireworks went off unexpectedly" Gabby sighed as she made her statement.
Liv nodded as the backdoor to the Woolpack opened and she quickly lit the small firecracker, before lobbing it over to land a few meters away from whoever had just walked out of the back door, but her eyes widened when she saw Chas and Leo. However, she did not react fast enough to stop Gabby or Jacob.
Chas flinched as the small fireworks went off around her and she hurried to usher Leo back into the house as Aaron ran to the door and scooped him up.
"Mum!" Aaron guided Chas back into the house before he handed Leo to Robert and his boyfriend saw the furious look in his eyes "He's alright, he will probably just stay close to you" he explained, and Robert nodded.
"I heard fireworks" Robert stated.
"I saw Jacob throw a firecracker" Aaron said before he turned to Chas "Mum, are you okay?"
Chas nodded before she walked into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water.
Robert placed Leo down on the sofa so that the child could play, before he grabbed his phone and called Bernice whilst Aaron stormed outside and glared at the teenagers who were frantically trying to cover their tracks.
"Do you think that was clever?" Aaron asked as he crossed his arms.
"I thought that Chas was running the pub" Liv answered.
"What about Leo? Do you have any idea how much your little stunt could have affected him?!" Aaron glared at the teens before he stormed off towards the shop to find Derek.
"Where are you going?!" Liv yelled over to her brother.
"That doesn't concern you!" Aaron answered as he walked into the shop "Your son needs to stay away from my family" He pointed at David.
"Wait! What?" David asked.
"I'm sure that Jacob didn't do anything" Layla groaned as she rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, because throwing firecrackers at my mum and Leo is doing nothing" Aaron retorted.
"He did what?" David gawked.
"You heard me. Keep him away from my family" Aaron then turned and walked out of the shop.
Meanwhile, Robert was sat with Leo when Paddy and Rhona buried into the room and Leo was ripped away from him, as Paddy bombarded him with questions.
"Aaron needs to get Liv's behaviour under control" Rhona stated.
"He's doing his best" Robert stated.
"His best is not good enough. Leo could have been hurt!" Rhona exclaimed.
"Aaron got him back inside before anything bad happened and I was here to look after him, whilst Aaron went to speak to David" Robert tried to defend his boyfriend.
"Yeah, because you're such a saint! You know this would've never have happened if you had just left Aaron alone!" Paddy shouted at Robert as the blond man remained quiet.
Robert could not help but instantly feel disappointed by what Paddy had said, he had really felt like he had finally turned a corner and showed everyone how much he actually cared about Aaron. However, the truth was too obvious to him, he knew that everyone would always doubt him, and he understood why; but he could not help but want to prove himself as a changed man.
"Aaron would be better off without you!" Paddy shouted in Robert's face.
"Oi! I would be a mess if I didn't have Robert!" Aaron stated as he walked into the backroom "I'm sorry about what happened, and Liv will be punished. I have also spoken to David and Bernice will deal with Gabby's behaviour."
"That's not good enough!" Paddy yelled.
"It's the best that I can do at the moment. So if you have a problem with my sister's behaviour you take it up with me, Robert has done nothing wrong!" Aaron stated as he gestured to his boyfriend.
"It's fine, Aaron" Robert sighed before he turned and left the house.
"Robert!" Aaron called but his boyfriend did not come back.
"I'm going to take Leo home, I'll see you there, Paddy" Rhona said before she gave Aaron a sad smile to reassure him that she was not angry at him or Robert.
Paddy waited until his wife had left before he spoke again "Do you want to know something? Maybe Liv was right when she said that you should break up with Robert" he then left the house, following after Rhona and leaving Aaron standing in the backroom.
Aaron stayed in the backroom of the pub for a while before he decided that he needed to go and look for Robert, he had been about to leave the house when the door opened, and Andy walked in with Robert next to him. Aaron noticed how Robert looked like he had lost all hope and that caused his heart to sink "What happened?"
"I found him at our mother's grave" Andy answered as Aaron pulled Robert into a hug "He's had a bit of a drink".
Aaron nodded and he sighed "I'll get him up to bed".
Andy nodded before he left the house, leaving Aaron to practically carry Robert upstairs and sat him down on the bed. The Blond man's gaze remained fixated on the floor as he tried to avoid talking or even looking up at Aaron.
Aaron began to get ready for bed before he handed Robert his pyjamas and he sighed "Ignore what Paddy said, he was just upset about what happened because Leo got caught up in the middle of it. He didn't mean anything that he said to you".
"But what if he did?" Robert asked as he looked up at his boyfriend "I'm not good enough for you, Aaron. You would be better if I had left you alone".
"I wouldn't be here if you hadn't of taken me to hospital that day and you got me through talking to the police and the trial. I love you and I don't' want anyone else" Aaron stated as he crossed his arms, leaning against the chest of draws.
Robert shook his head and he sighed "I don't know how to please everyone".
"Then don't" Aaron shrugged as he moved and sat next to Robert "You can't please everyone, just focus on making yourself happy and that will have an impact on others".
Robert turned and he looked at Aaron "You know… sometimes you actually have good ideas". He joked.
Aaron rolled his eyes, and he gave Robert a light shove "Shut it".
Robert smiled softly and he held Aaron's hand "Thank you".
"Don't worry about it" Aaron smiled.
They fell asleep soon after that, even though it was quite early, but they were both exhausted by the emotions that they had been bombarded with.
