Everyone looked up when they heard the backdoor open and they all looked towards it, Aaron and Robert soon walked into the backroom and they froze when they saw that their families were staring at them like they had grown two heads each.

"What happened?" Chas yelled as she rushed over to her son.

"I nearly got hit by a car, I'm fine though" Aaron answered as he felt a hand rest on the bottom of his back, he glanced to his right and he saw that Robert was standing next to him.

"What?! How?" Debbie asked.

"He pushed me out of the way, and I landed on him when he landed on the floor. The impact broke his arm" Robert answered before he helped Aaron take his jacket off.

"Why were you standing in the middle of the road?" Victoria asked.

Robert glanced at Liv in the corner of his eye and he saw that Aaron's sister looked concerned "I wasn't paying attention when I crossed the road".

Aaron glanced at Robert and he caught onto what his boyfriend was doing; if anything, it just made him feel guilty but also grateful to Robert because he was protecting Liv.

"Honestly, Robert" Diane sighed as she stood up and walked over to her stepson "You need to be more careful, you're lucky that Aaron turned up, pet".

"That's very true" Robert smiled before he kissed his boyfriend's cheek.

"Wait… you two are back together?" Belle asked.

"Yeah" Aaron nodded.

"That sounds like a bad idea" Noah scoffed, resulting in Cain rolling his eyes.

"I don't care, I'm with the man I love and that's all that matters" Aaron stated before he sat down on the sofa next to Chas.

"As long as you're sure" Paddy seemed hesitant as he spoke.

"I am" Aaron nodded as Robert placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Right, now that's sorted I am going to have a pint" Zak stated before he walked out of the backroom, closely followed by everyone else as they filtered out of the room.

However, Chas was still sat in the backroom "I know about the note" she stated, and Aaron looked at her "Liv confessed everything to me and Paddy. He has also asked me to apologise to both of you on his behalf, he knows that what he said to you two was wrong".

Aaron nodded before he sighed "I know that he was just looking out for me".

"Are you both okay?" Chas asked and Aaron nodded.

"Yeah, I think that we might just stay home for the rest of the day so that Aaron can rest" Robert suggested, and Chas nodded.

"That's a good idea" Chas agreed before she stood up "Well, that pub isn't going to run itself".

Chas eft the backroom just a moment later, shutting the door behind her and the couple looked at Liv as the teenager sighed.

"I'm sorry about all the trouble that I've caused" Liv broke the silence.

"Just don't do it again" Aaron said sternly, and Liv nodded.

"Why did you lie instead of saying what I did?" Liv asked as she looked up at Robert.

"Because you learnt your lesson and I wouldn't have been fair of me call you out in front of everyone" Robert answered honestly before he sat on the arm of the sofa, next to Aaron and his boyfriend rested his head against his leg. "Plus, I think that we're even now".

Liv nodded and everyone went silent before she walked upstairs to her room, leaving Aaron and Robert alone downstairs.

"Thanks for protecting Liv. I didn't know what to say in front of everyone" Aaron broke the silence.

"Your family is my family. I think that all of us have had a chaotic time, so we all need a break" Robert shrugged, but Aaron just smiled up at him.

"You know" Aaron whispered.

"I know" Robert smiled as he started to stroke Aaron's hair "Why don't I cook us a romantic meal for dinner later, as an apology for missing the one that you prepared?" he suggested, and Aaron looked up at him in confusion "I saw that you had set the table and I saw the food before I walked out".

"I'm a shit cook so you probably didn't miss much" Aaron's insecurities revealed himself as he spoke, and Robert's heart broke slightly.

"You aren't that bad at cooking, you make a mean roast dinner and cooked English breakfast" Robert stated before he started to stroke Aaron's cheek with his thumb "You also tried to do something nice for us to enjoy together and I blew it, so I want to make it up to you".

"Alright, sounds good to me" Aaron smiled.

"I'll start preparing our dinner then" Robert smiled before he stood up and draped a blanket over Aaron "Kick your feet up and relax for a bit, I'll let you know when dinner's ready."

The rest of the evening consisted of Robert working away in the kitchen, Aaron growing bored and restless because he felt like he should be helping his boyfriend and Chas was running the pub.

"Is there anything that I can do to help?" Aaron asked as he stood up and walked into the kitchen.

"Relax and not worry about anything for once?" Robert suggested as he glanced over his shoulder "You don't have to do anything?"

"I feel useless" Aaron sighed.

"Come here" Robert smiled gently at his boyfriend.

Aaron walked over to Robert and the older man wrapped an arm around his waist, before pulling him into a loving kiss. Aaron cupped the back of Robert's neck I his hand, whilst keeping his broken arm at his side.

"You're not useless. Just let me do something for you for once, okay?" Robert asked and Aaron nodded hesitantly "You can give me lots of kisses though, I wouldn't complain about that".

Aaron smiled and he laughed slightly "I can do that".

Robert smiled even more, and he kissed Aaron again. It was at that second that Liv walked downstairs and looked at her brother, smiling when she saw that Aaron was happy.

"Can I stay over at Gabby's tonight? I know that we're both still in trouble, but I thought that you two might want some time alone" Liv shrugged, hoping that Aaron would say yes.

"Yeah sure, but no pranks and no drinking" Aaron said in a firm voice.

"Thanks!" Liv then ran back upstairs to pack some overnight things.

"Hhhmmm some alone time sounds good to me" Robert smirked at Aaron as he let his hand slowly slip down to Aaron's bum, winking at his boyfriend.

"Same here" Aaron bit his lip as he nodded.

After kissing a few more times, Robert eventually went back to cooking dinner whilst Aaron just talked to him and set the table. Robert could not deny that he had taken the opportunity to steal a few glances at Aaron's butt whilst his boyfriend was walking around, which did result in him taking a while to make dinner, but he eventually finished it. Aaron went to help carry the dishes to the table, but Robert insisted that he just sat down at the table, whilst he carried the food over. The dinner was a success and they talked.

Robert could not help but smile every time Aaron smiled or laughed and his stomach was filled with butterflies the whole time 'He's so perfect' he thought as he gazed at Aaron.

"What?" Aaron asked when he noticed that Robert was watching him with heart-eyes.

"Nothing, you're just beautiful" Robert answered.

Aaron smiled and he shook his head.

"Are you blushing?" Robert leaned forwards to look at Aaron's fae.

"Shut it" Aaron laughed as he moved and he straddled Robert's legs, he smirked as he placed his hands his boyfriend's shoulders.

Robert smirked and he placed his hands on Aaron's thighs "What are you up to, sexy?"

"Nothing" Aaron moved, and he started to kiss Robert's neck.

Robert groaned and he let his head fall back "God I love it when you kiss my neck".

Aaron smiled and he continued to kiss Robert's neck. "You know what I like" he hinted in a whisper. "D'you want to take this upstairs?"

Robert definitely did not pass up on that suggestion.
