Rule #5 : If they tried to rope you into an experiment, do NOT accept ! You might walk away unscathed but you will definetly be accomplice to aggravated property destruction.

"Hey Ruby !" Nora chirped as she spotted the young girl entering the training room.

"Hi Nora ! Hi Jaune !" Ruby replied with a cheerful wave.

"You arrive just at the right time" Jaune said. "We were about to start some Semblance training and Nora had a really great idea."

ELSEWHERE IN BEACON
Ren and Pyrrha were enjoying a quiet moment in Beacon's library when they both felt a shiver run down their spines. It was as if someone had walked over their graves—or more likely, the other half of their team were about to "experiment".

"You sensed it too, Ren ?" Pyrrha asked, on high alert.

He nodded, already grabbing a nearby fire extinguisher.

"Why does it feel like I now have a sixth sense for moronic experimentations ?" The champion asked, sighting.

Only a shrug answered her.

"Full gear ?"

"Obviously."

IN THE TRAINING ROOM
"So, just to be sure I understand correctly," Ruby said, "you want me to shoot Nora with a Lightning Dust round?"

"Yeah! Electricity makes me super strong, and Jaune makes me super strong! So we need to see what happens if we can make me ultra-strong with the two together! But not together-together." Nora explained with her usual level of enthusiasm.

Jaune nodded, his hair standing straight up like he'd just been struck by lightning—probably because he had. It gave him a look of mad scientist.

"I can enhance Dust, but I need to maintain physical contact to boost someone's Semblance. So, when I try to charge up Nora, I end up electrocuted. But if you shoot her with Lightning Dust, the impact should separate us just in time to avoid that minor inconvenience."

Ruby glanced at Jaune's scorched clothes, his smoking hair, and his unsettlingly cheerful grin. The whole setup screamed "disaster waiting to happen," but she couldn't resist. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion—you just had to see what would go wrong. Also, Jaune was a friend and she wasn't one to refuse helping out a friend. That was the only reason she would help him out !

Jaune and Nora took place and the blond knight started to enhanced her teamate with only one finger on her shoulder. As Ruby aligned Nora is the crosshair of her weapon, her doubts resurged.

"Are you sure it's okay ?" Ruby wondered.

"Don't worry Ruby ! I'm almost..."

At this moment, the door to the training room burst open, and the rest of Team JNPR charged in, looking like bomb disposal experts with their armor mixing bombproof and hazmat suits.

"JAUNE ! DO NOT..."

Unfortunetly, the sudden eruption startled Ruby and Crescent Rose fired. A bolt of lightning engulfed Nora, sending her flying across the room.

"Gods damn it..." Pyrrha swore, pulling out her Scroll and hitting the emergency panic button. A loud siren blared throughout the room.

"ALERT! JAUNE AND NORA SITUATION! EVACUATE THE PREMISES! THIS IS NOT AN EXERCICE !"

It was telling that only 2 months after the start of the semester, all students hearing the alarm didn't need a second warning about it before fleeing like rats from a sinking ship. One kid even jumped out of the second-floor window, screaming, "Not again!" on his way down.

"So Nora, how does it feel ?" Jaune asked her collapsed teamate on the ground

She slowly got up, her hair now matching her leader.

"Power ! Unlimited POWER !" She yelled, her voice echoing throughout the building.

Lighting still coursing though her body, she took a swing at a training mannequin, a solid steel contraption designed to withstand intense Semblance attacks. The poor thing crumpled like a soda can, crashing through the floor and landing on top of Professor Port, who was in the middle of a lecture.

Port didn't even blink as he casually redirected the mangled metal with a hip movement, sending it to embed itself in the desk of a sleeping student.

"And that, my dear children, is why you should always stay alert," he said with a nod. "And tango is far more deadly than it appeared."
