Timmy was walking with Anna after their encounter where he explains to her about his past which wasn't happy for her to hear.
"Well, at least your grandmother's still with you in your heart and locket right?" Anna asked.
Timmy nodded looking at his locket before looking at the three dragon cards Susan gave him before she died, "These are the last cards she gave me..."
Anna nodded at that. "Well, from what I saw they'll keep you safe for her. Plus it doesn't sound like your parents are here so that's good."
Timmy smiled at this before he asked, "Hey... Can I stay with you, Miss Anna?"
"Huh... I guess you can." she nodded.
They both headed to her house which is a small shack with a garage for her rocket launcher, and a laptop as he looked around, "Not much but a roof over our heads right?"
"True." Anna nodded before frowning. "Actually, I don't think it's enough for two people."
Timmy turned to her before admitting, "I can just sleep on the floor, or outside..."
"You are not doing either of those." Anna told him before sighing. "You've been through enough for a lifetime."
"So your gonna do one of those?" Timmy asked shaking his head, "No, I won't let you do that Miss Anna."
"It's the only option if you want to stay here." Anna pointed out.
Timmy took her head telling her, "We can sleep on the bed together. The two of us."
Anna frowned. "Ok, but if you feel uncomfortable tell me and we'll... we'll figure out something else."
Timmy didn't get what she means but nods with a small smile. Seeing that Anna smiled softly before blushing. "The... bathroom is through that door."
He turned over before looking at her before nodding, "Gotcha."
Anna nodded only to pause. "Wait, you don't have anything clean to wear after you wash up... that could be a problem."
"Why is that? I can just sleep in my underwear." Timmy told her.
Anna blushed at that. "That's not... I mean..."
She just nodded nervously at that. Timmy headed over to the bathroom after placing his Duel Disk, and Deck down along with his locket.
A little while later...
Timmy exited in blue briefs sighing to himself drying his hair with a towel, "Your shower's amazing Miss Anna."
"Thanks, I guess it's my turn." she mentioned walking into the bathroom.
Timmy sat down on the bed while looking over his Duel Disk which functions as a tablet before finding something, "The World Duel Carnival... Is that a festival...?"
Curious he looked into it on his Duel Disk. He looked to see it's a tournament where you have to sign up to get a Heart Shaped key that has a gem where you have three days of Preliminaries to collect Heart Pieces to complete your key to more on to the next part of the tournament.
"A tournament this large... Then the prize must be at least a least a couple thousand bucks that I can use for Miss Anna." Timmy said to himself as he said this.
A few minutes later he heard the water stop. "I'll be out in a few minutes."
"Okay." Timmy called back.
Later..
Timmy was settling in bed in his briefs with Anna dressed in red PJs while laying down beside her with a soft smile to her, "I hope your comfortable for tonight Miss Anna."
"Same to you." Anna nodded.
They both laid down under the blanket together while Timmy laid with her snuggling close to her, "Miss Anna? Thanks for this."
Anna blushed at that. "You're welcome."
After laying for a bit she then starts to hear gentle breathing from him signaling he fallen asleep. Anna looked at him and gently wrapped an arm around him before closing her eyes.
The next day...
Anna woke up to the smell of eggs being cooked.
"Huh, what?" she asked sitting up.
She sat up to see Timmy was using an electric skillet before noticing she's awake, "Oh good morning. Uh..." He looked to the skillet before asking, "How do you like your eggs?"
"Huh, oh fried... but you didn't have to do that." Anna said walking over to him.
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day Miss Anna... And I wanted to repay you for giving me a place to stay at since I got nowhere to go." Timmy told her.
"Oh, well thanks." she smiled.
After finishing up he placed her eggs on the plate giving it to her before cracking two more as he asked, "And have you heard of the World Duel Carnival?"
"The World Duel Carnival?"
"Yeah. It's a big tournament where duelists from all around the world will compete. I never been in a tournament that large since I usually got in small ones but I think, I can at least do good in it. And I think the prize will be at least a couple thousand bucks which I can use for you."
"You'd..." Anna started in shock.
He only turned to her with a smile, "I always donate the money I'd earn from the small tournaments I won to charity before my parents told me to keep it for me to have... But for this one, I'll give it to you."
Her eyes widened hearing that before blushing. "Oh... well, it's your money so you should use it for you."
Anna paused at that.
"I don't mean... sorry."
Timmy shook his head saying, "I know you don't meant it like that. Besides, I learned that since it's money I'll earn I am free to use it how I like, and giving it away to charity, or to you is how I like it."
Anna looked down with a blush. "Oh... well, thanks."
After eating breakfast Timmy decided to get sign up so they both went to Heartland Tower where Registration is at where they see it's being overseen by a red haired man, and a purple haired woman. Anna just gave Timmy a small nod before stepping back to let him sign up. Timmy walked over to the desk to get signed up where he asked the man who's registering, "Excuse me sir?"
"Yeah?" he asked. "A bit young to be entering the Carnival aren't you?"
Timmy bowed before asking, "Is it to late to sign up mister?"
"No it isn't, it's nice to see younger duelists getting involved." he smiled handing Timmy a small pink object. "Best of luck."
Timmy took it seeing a gold heart shaped jewelry with a small red gem on it as he smiled to him, "Thank you sir." He walked off at this.
The red haired man meanwhile had noticed him, and looked a bit interested which the purple haired woman noticed.
"I feel bad for the kid, this is going to be a tough competition but at least he seemed friendly enough." the man mentioned to her. "With any luck he won't feel too bad when he loses early."
"Indeed. It wouldn't be surprising if he loses at the first round." the woman admitted to him.
Timmy headed back to Anna who shows the heart with a smile, "I'm in Miss Anna."
"Well, I'll be rooting for you." Anna smiled. "Keep that safe."
"Don't you want to be in as well?" Timmy asked her.
Anna shook her head, "Tournaments are not for me."
"Well okay." Timmy nodded with a smile, "Tournaments aren't for everyone is what they say. I'll do for my best for you Miss Anna."
Anna just smiled at that. "What are you going to do now?"
"Well now practice, and maybe look around for any shopping if I can. I managed to get some money saved before my parents confiscated it for some new clothes." Timmy said as they headed off for any clothes stores.
Over the new few hours Timmy tried on several outfits with Anna's honest perspective to see what clothes he should get. Eventually they all got it in bags with Timmy handing the cashier the price which to Anna's shock was over $60.00 which he had no trouble paying for it.
"Um... how much do you have?" she asked him.
Hearing that Timmy looked in the wallet he had also bought before answering, "Right now $520.27."
Anna just nodded in shock.
Later...
Anna, and Timmy we're walking together in sunset as he smiled to Anna who's carrying most of the bags, "Thanks for helping me shop Miss Anna. I had fun. That was honestly my first time shopping."
"Doing it sometimes is ok you know, it isn't selfish." Anna mentioned.
He nodded before they noticed Yuma with Tori walking together with Yuma looking a bit annoyed about something with Bronk walking over, "Hey isn't that Yuma, Miss Tori, and Mr. Bronk?"
"Huh, yeah it is." Anna nodded.
They see Bronk arrived where Yuma turned to him pointing at him saying something but paused where Bronk started to walk off which made Yuma grab his shoulder but to their shock Bronk swing his arm pushing his key off him while Yuma fell to his bottom. But black slime leaked from his deck being pumped into Astral who became visable to Anna starting to cry out.
"Oh no!" Timmy ran over to help out.
Hearing that Tori turned to him. "Get away, it's dangerous!"
"What's going on!?" Timmy asked Astral.
Astral grunted fighting against the slime, "Number 96! It's trying to take control of me...!"
Suddenly a rocket flew at Astral. The rocket hit a barrier on Astral being pushed back as Timmy, and Tori braced against the shockwave but the smoke faded showing Astral is still being pumped by the slime while Timmy widen his eyes turning to Anna, "Miss Anna stop!"
"Whatever that slime is it's bad news." she pointed out. "We need to do something."
"What your doing is pointless before me little girl." a voice was heard as Astral's arms were lifted, "Since he had him drop his key nothing will stop from taking over Astral..."
Astral screamed as a 96 blared bright from a shockwave. Timmy looked over seeing Yuma's key before taking it safely from him before black slime tendrils grabbed Yuma lifting him up with a scream.
"Yuma!" Tori cried seeing that.
"Is this a nightmare? If so please wake me up!" Yuma cried out.
Astral who's now black raise his head with a smirk, "Oh this is no simple nightmare."
Astral fighting in him called to Yuma, "Yuma listen to me! You must give Utopia, to Timmy!"
"What why?" Yuma doesn't like the sound of that.
"Just do it!"
Yuma at that struggled getting into his Deck, and called, "Hey Timmy catch!"
He throw the card to Timmy who managed to catch it with his hand looking at it confused, "Utopia?"
"This is bad." Bronk frowned.
Astral screamed out which Yuma heard, "Astral!"
Number 96 taking full control laughed, "Now onto phase 2... Acquiring Number 39, Utopia!"
Yuma struggling against the tendrils demanded, "Let me go, and tell what you done to Astral!"
Number 96 dismissed him smirking at the little boy in front of him, "I'll be the one making the demands here, not you! And now I am demanding that Number card!" He shot his arm at Timmy who cried out placing his arms in front of him closing his eyes to defend himself before the Key in his hand glowed summoning a barrier which blocked the arm prompting the evil Number to tch retracting his arm while Timmy opened his eyes confused why he felt no pain, and noticed the key's glow with the barrier fading.
"Are you ok?" Anna asked running over to Timmy.
"Yeah... I think this key just saved me..." Timmy admitted looking at Yuma's key.
Looking to where he sees Yuma struggling against the tendrils with Number 96 giving a glare he thought gulping, 'Maybe if I get this back to Yuma he can make him go away!' He then called, "Hey, if you want this card, then... then beat me in a match here, and now!"
"A duel?" this interested the evil Number before him.
Bronk opened his mouth to argue only to remember Timmy had his own Number. "Be careful, who knows what this thing is capable of."
Timmy nodded while Yuma has a different idea, "No Timmy! Just get out of here while you have a chance!"
"I can't do that! I never leave anyone in danger behind!" Timmy argued to him.
Number 96 only chuckled releasing Yuma, "Intriguing... Very well let us duel little boy!"
'Those three will help him.' Anna thought stepping back to watch the duel.
With that Timmy, and Yuma prepared their Duel Disks, and Gazers they called, "DUEL!"

Yume turned behind him seeing Number 96 who smirked, "Oh, and by the way Yuma will be dueling for me."
"What, no way I'm dueling for you." Yuma argued.
Number 96 uses his mind which made Yuma move his arm to draw his starting hand. He cried out at that. Timmy grunted before saying, "I'll be going first!"
Timmy 1st Turn:
He looked at his hand before nodding, "Okay, I'll start by activating Archiving Bookshelf!" A spell that shows of a red robed female dragon wizard was stacking books on a shelf on a ladder with glasses on.

Placing down the Scale his Duel Disk glowed while Galycimo, and a purple robed female dragon wizard rose up with gray scales on both sides.

Timmy spread his arms, "The Archives of the Dragons focus on studying the treacherous fangs! And now the dragon that sleeps in the pitch black darkness is ready to fight all those foolish enough to oppose it! Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
From that what rose was a black, and purple dragon with a lower silver bladed jaw having extended silver jaws with yellow eyes having on armor that has red glowing eye like symbols with sharp claws on it's hands, and sharp talons on it's feet, and a long tail roaring with it's wings looking mechanical almost like it can detach.

Timmy only sets a card turning to Dark Rebellion, "Dark Rebellion! I trust you, give me all you got in this duel!"
Dark Rebellion roared agreeing to do so before Timmy called, "And now Yggdrasil's ability activates! Since I used him to summon a Dragon, I can summon a Dragon Archiver to your field!"
"To my field?" Number 96 questioned.
"I chose to summon Tuloki!"
A small purple scaled dragon rose up on Number 96's field with red eyes, and wearing a gray librarian robe.

The 96 appeared before the blob rose before morphing into a fiend monster that looks different. It has red eyes shaping as flames on it's chest with a huge mouth that has three sharp teeth on both sides of it's jaw on it's body, purple mist exited exposed parts of it's legs, and arms along with three long claws, and a long tail with the 96 on it's head that has two long antenna like tendrils.

Number 96 frowned. "You still take the damage from my attack."

"I use Dark Rebellion's special ability!" Dark Rebellion took it's Overlay Units in it's wings as he called, "By using two Overlay Units, Dark Rebellion does the exact same thing Dark Mist just done!"
"The same ability as me?" Number 96 questioned in shock.
"Treason Discharge!" Dark Rebellion's wings opened shooting purple lightning binding Dark Mist.

He then gesture to his Trap, "Then Studying's effect activates since I used the effect of a Dragon Archiver! You can draw a card, and if that card is a Spell or Trap you can add it but if it's a monster, discard it."
Number 96 drew his card only to frown discarding it.
"And now Dark Rebellion attack Dark Mist with Mauling Mandible Charge!" Timmy called as Dark Rebellion charged forward with his jaw blades in the ground to Dark Mist.
"That's a foolish choice, my ability works whenever Dark Mist battles." Number 96 revealed as Dark Mist took a second Unit. "Shadow Gain!"

"But thanks to your reckless attack you still take the damage." Number 96 reminded him.
Dark Rebellion struck a barrier which didn't destroy it while Timmy used his arm to fight against the winds with a grunt. (Timmy: 3225/Hand: 1)
"This duel is as good as over." Number 96 smirked.
Timmy only called, "Well now I activate Archiving's effect! By banishing it, I get back Tuloki!"
Tuloki flew to his field before he added, "Then I use Galycimo's Pendulum Effect!" Galycimo glowed opening a random tome, "I can summon a Dragon Archiver from my graveyard to your field, but it must be shuffled back to my Deck at the end of the turn. I revive Yggdrasil to your field!"
Yggdrasil appeared beside Dark Mist. (Defense Position)
"And as I summoned a monster, Tuloki's mandatory effect, changes it's level from 3 to 4!"

Clear Wing shot out of the winds roaring beside Dark Rebellion.

Timmy slowly stood up breathing before saying, "This... This duel isn't over yet... Cause now since your monster's out of Overlay Units, I am free to attack it with this next monster!"
"Both of your dragons are powerless against my doppelgänger." Number 96 smirked.
"But this last one won't!" Timmy called before drawing, "And first off, I Pendulum Summon! Tuloki!" Tuoki rose up again in Defense.

"Fusion with a monster on my field?" Number 96 questioned seeing that.
Timmy spread his arms again, "The Archives of the Dragons focus on studying the poisonous fangs! And now the dragon that sleeps in the hell beneath the petals is ready to give terror! Fusion Summon!" He clapped his hands together when he said, 'Fusion Summon', "Level 8, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!"
From that what rose was a green dragon with three large purple wings, purple biological armor on it's torso, elbows, shoulders, knees, and face with orbs around while having a large tail, and several mouths around it's body and two large horns on both sides of it's head roaring.

With its appearance Starving Venom, Dark Rebellion, and Clear Wing roared together. Timmy smiled drawing from Tuloki seeing all three dragons together.
"Your new monster is impressive but it's a few attack points short." Number 96 pointed out. "It won't help you."
Timmy only turned, "I don't think so! Starving Venom's ability activates! When Fusion Summoned, it gains the attack points of one Special Summoned monster on your field!"
"It what?" Number 96 questioned in shock.
"Whoa, talk about a trio of dragon power." Bronk mentioned.
Starving Venom roared loudly gaining power. (ATK: 2800 + 2887 = 5687)
"This... this isn't possible!" Number 96 panicked.
"And now Starving Venom attack Dark Mist with MegaFlare Attack!"
Starving Venom roared charging an attack in it's chest firing it at Dark Mist. Number 96 could only watch as the blast struck his monster.

"And now I'll-Huh?" Timmy looked confused as from the smoke Dark Mist survived the attack asking, "How did it last against that?"
"Only a Number can destroy another Number in a battle." Yuma explained.
"Huh? An effect that stops destruction from a monster that doesn't belong in it's archetype?" Timmy asked hearing that.
"Anything else?" Number 96 questioned.
Timmy noticed something before nodding, "I banish Archiver Fusion to use it's other effect! While I have a Pendulum Scale of Dragon Archivers..."
"What now?" Number 96 asked hearing that.
"I banish this card to allow Starving Venom to attack a monster!" Timmy revealed before calling while Starving Venom charged another attack, "Which means this is the end!"
'Amazing.' Anna thought before blushing slightly and looking down.
"No! This cannot be!" Number 96 panicked.
"Starving Venom finish him off! MegaFlare Attack!"
Starving Venom spread his wings charging another blast firing it engulfing Dark Mist which didn't destroy it but still finished it while Number 96 pushed back screaming, "No! I-I lost!? Impossible!"

"Yuma! Catch!" Timmy threw the key to Yuma for him to catch.
Yuma caught the key as Anna ran over to Timmy to see if he was alright. Astral appeared breathing before sticking his hand out absorbing Number 96 without effort now content that he's gone. Timmy breathed a bit before turning to his dragons smiling, "Thanks. You three again made me proud."
They roared before fading as Anna hugged him.
"That was incredible. Your grandma would be so proud." she smiled.
Timmy chuckled sheepishly rubbing the back of his head while Yuma, Bronk, and Tori walked over with Astral floating to them.
"Yeah, seriously man that was awesome!" Bronk grinned to him.
"Those three dragons are really tough stuff!" Yuma grinned.
Timmy only admitted, "Well... If Dark Mist's ability targets then the duel would be over before..."
"Huh, what do you mean?" Tori asked.
Timmy let his hand down before answering, "You guys haven't seen Clear Wing's own Special Ability. She can negate the effect of a Level 5 or higher monster on the field, and destroy it. And she can also do the same when a monster targets a Level 5 or higher monster with it's own effect... And it also gains the points of the monster any of those effects destroys. Starving Venom can target a Level 5 or higher monster, and be a copy of that monster for a turn, and when destroyed it destroys all Special Summoned monsters on my opponent's field."
Everyone stared at him in shock hearing that.
"Remarkable... Those three dragons are some of the strongest cards, I ever heard of Yuma..." Astral said in awe, "And due to defeating Number 96 their definitely gonna come in handy... He should help us to find the Numbers."
"Yeah, I agree." Yuma nodded.
"Those dragons are a bit overkill..." Bronk admitted in shock.
Timmy chuckled a bit sheepish with closed eyes, "Well... They helped me win several small tournaments back at home."
Anna smiled at that. 'And they might help him win the World Duel Carnival too.'
Noticing the abandoned bags Tori cried, "Oh!" She ran as everyone looked over confused as she sees the contents before asking Anna, "Anna are these yours?"
"Oh... no they're Timmy's. We picked up a few things for him." she answered.
"Well these look pretty expensive..." Bronk admitted to them.
Timmy nodded looking sheepish, "Uh... they are."
"Well, if you don't want to explain it right now you don't have to." Tori mentioned.
"Yeah, we're friends right? We can hear the story later." Yuma grinned.
Timmy hearing that smiled a bit nodding, "Thanks..." Taking a look at his watch that he also bought he sees the time, "Oh, Anna we need to get the groceries now it's about 7:00."
"Groceries?" Bronk asked surprised, "You still have that kind of money even after getting these clothes?"
"I... let's say saved some money from the tournaments I won." Timmy admitted.
"That's smart." Tori smiled.
Timmy then asked Anna, "Anna is it alright if they join us for dinner tonight? I mean, we all just got through that Number."
"There's no room." she admitted.
"Hey why not you two join me at my place?" Yuma suggested surprising the two, "I'm sure Kari, and Grandma won't mind, Kari, and Grandma wanted to meet him since he gotten me in a DRAW!"
Timmy looked to Anna, "Is that alright Anna? We can get a cooler for the groceries we get for then."
"Well... alright." she nodded.
With that they got groceries at the store which was a lot, and since Timmy wasn't used to Japanese food shopping he was explained what's what while making note Astral doesn't eat after Yuma called his Grandmother, and Sister about Timmy heading over with friends, and soon Timmy paid for the Groceries which was 50.00 which amazed the three from the money he just paid.
Soon they arrived at the Tsukomo residence with Yuma calling, "Grandma, Kari we're here!"
"Welcome home Yuma." came a kind female voice.
They looked over to see a small elder woman with purple hair with gray hightlights, and wearing a red kimino with a red vest walking over with her hands behind her back with a smile.
"Hey, Grandma." Yuma said with a smile, "Where's Kari?"
"She's finishing her report. She'll be here in a minute." Yuma's Grandmother answered.
Yuma turned to Timmy, and Anna, "This is my Grandmother, Haru Tsukumo, and she's a-Huh?" He noticed Timmy's saddened down look.
Anna squeezed his hand gently. "Do you want me to tell them?"
Taking a shuddering breath he nodded.
"Timmy's grandmother passed away." Anna explained before telling them about his past and his parents.
"What? What kind of people do stuff like that!?" Yuma cried outraged.
"Your Grandmother put everything she has for your happiness!" Bronk agreed.
"Don't let those people take you down! Your better then them." Tori said to him.
Timmy hearing that wiped his eyes before smiling, "Thank you... Thank you all."
Tori knelt down and gently hugged him. Timmy froze looking surprised before hugging her back.
"Did I just missed something?" a woman asked having pink haired with lighter pink bangs like Yuma's in a ponytail walking in the room wearing a blue shirt, and white jeans having a brown belt with a gold circle buckle, and having on a black vest with a orange collar.
"Yea." Yuma nodded explaining it.
"Oh, I would love to put them in as my next scoop!" the woman said punching her hand outraged.
"It should be Timothy's choice." Haru noted.
Sighing to calm down the woman introduced herself to the young boy, "Hello. I'm Kari Tsukumo, Yuma's older sister. I am a news reporter so I can help you against your parents if you want."
"A sister?" Timmy asked hearing that.
"Yeah." Timmy blinked before he asked a question they all we're not expecting.
"What's a sister?"
"It means a girl with the same parents." Anna explained to him.
'Did he seriously ask a question like that...?' Yuma thought in disbelief, 'Just how did this kid's parents give him an education?'
Haru coughed to clear her throat before smiling, "Well I'm glad we could finally meet you Timothy. Yuma had been talking about you for a while."
"He did?" Timmy asked curiously.
The woman, Kari, nodded, "Yup he did. He said you can Synchro Summon, and now has a new summon method we never heard of, Pendulum Summoning with this Deck called Dragon Archivers. He also said you got him in a DRAW right?"
"Yeah." Timmy nodded hearing that.
She then asked him, "Can I take a look at your Deck real quick?"
Hearing that made Timmy blink before taking his Deck, "Uh sure, here you go." He hands it to her.
Kari took it and started looking through it. She sees all his Monster Cards which are Pendulum monsters before noticing a Ritual Monster among them.
"Is something wrong?" Timmy asked seeing her expression thinking it's bad.
"You... also have Ritual?" her question shocked everyone but Timmy.
"Wait really?" Tori asked him.
Timmy hearing that nodded, "What I drawn from Tuloki's effect was a Ritual Spell Card, so I know I have some Ritual Monsters in the Deck."
Ulrich362: Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, and now Ritual? Timmy's getting more impressive by the minute.
bopdog111: He can do all the summoning methods, and if we seen how skilled he was with the four first what can he do with the last one?
Ulrich362: The only way to find out would be a duel, the only question is who would his opponent be?
