bopdog111: Well now we're onto two matches that might be that. We seen one of them last chapter Nistro, and Yuma against each other. Then after that comes a much more important one Kite against his own mentor, Quinton.
Ulrich362: Kite's proven himself to be really skilled so his mentor must be an exceptional duelist. As for Yuma vs Nistro though... Yuma's in a very bad position before the duel even begins.
bopdog111: Yeah just 200 Life Points against Nistro's 4000. But if we know Nistro as well as everyone else does he much rather give Yuma a fighting edge.

A few minutes earlier...
Timmy, and Anna were back in the Duel Coaster Car riding to find the others for the next part of the World Duel Carnival. After the duel with Dextra she informed them about some dangers including Vetrix who seemed to have a personal grudge against Kite for some reason. She warns them Vetrix is powerful, and to be careful which Timmy promises he will. Now their looking for the others to figure out who's next.
Anna frowned. "Are you going to be ok?"
Her boyfriend turned to her hearing that.
"About what Dextra said, and… about your grandma." she explained.
"Yeah... I'll be okay." Timmy had a smile that Anna is still thinking about him after what he said about his Grandmother sacrificing many things for his happiness before he wound up getting into the life his parents made him get into.
She nodded and gently wrapped an arm around his shoulder gently. He smiled before hearing something, and looked seeing their approaching a Duel Field that has two IDs known in it.
YUMA TSUKUMO

"Yuma?" Anna asked seeing that.
"Should we go check, and see?" Timmy asked her.
"Yeah, I think so." she nodded.
With that in mind Timmy entered the field looking around before checking the Field Spell that's active around as it's stats popped up. Timmy read the effect, "Desert Field, a Field Spell Card. When a monster is Normal or Special Summoned in Attack Position, OR a monster declares an attack: That monster's controller takes 200 damage."
"That could be a problem, especially if your Pendulum Summon counts every monster separately." Anna admitted.
"Well I'm not dueling here." Timmy admitted before looking, "Look there they are!"
Anna looked only for her eyes to widen. "Yuma only has 200 life points?"
Just as she said that Yuma cried out driving over a trap as his life points dropped again.

Timmy winced at that. "Ouch."
They rode up next to them at that to see the duel. Tori seeing them waved, "Hey Timmy, Anna!"
"Hey guys, what's going on?" Timmy asked curiously.
"Well... I was about to duel Nistro." Yuma answered.
"About to... Yuma you only have 100 life points left." Anna pointed out. "And with this field, this isn't a duel it's a slaughter."
"Not to worry little missy." they looked to Nistro who grinned, "I don't want a victory handed to me. I'll help even out the odds in this match. Just sit back, and watch the show."
She turned to him before nodding as Anna and Timmy raced alongside them to watch the duel.

Rocks fall down on Nistro which made him brace himself. (Nistro: 3800/Hand: 4) He smirked at Yuma, "This Duel Field deals us 200 points of damage whenever we summon a monster in attack mode, or attack!"
"Wait... Yuma can you even spare 200 life points?" Tori asked Yuma worried.
Yuma pointed to his Life Point counter that appeared, "What does it look like!?" (Yuma: 0100/Hand: 5)
"Well now, I'll discard a card to summon Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword!" Nistro smirked discarding a card before a card ejected from his Deck allowing him to take it summoning it which rose showing a second warrior holding two swords.

Kusanagi powered up a bit at that with a grunt.
Kusanagi: (ATK: 2500 + 1000 = 3500)
"Yikes give me a break Nistro, I'm at my last leg already, and I haven't even taken my turn yet!" Yuma cried out in shock from seeing this.
"You have yourself to blame for getting me motivated to beat you Yuma." Nistro smirked before placing two cards down, "Well I'm done now, I place 2 cards face-down to end my turn!"

"Okay my turn, I draw!" Yuma drew looking.
Anna and Timmy watched to see if Yuma could do anything at all. Yuma looked nervous only to hear Nistro calling, "Before you make your move Yuma!" Yuma looked up confused as Nistro smirked, "Let me even the odds! I activate the trap, Heroic Gift!"
The same trap that he added with Morning Star rose showing itself as a trap that has a downed warrior with a sword in the ground in a barren wasteland with two cards being gifted to him in a bright light.

"If my opponent's life points are less then 2000, I can use Heroic Gift to give that player 8000 life points." Nistro grinned before drawing two cards, "In addition, I can draw 2 cards." He looks at what he drawn before smirking to Yuma, "Unlike most duelists who use the Duel Coaster to their advantage I got a warrior's sense of honor, and I don't want my victory handed on a silver platter by this coaster, so I even out the odds for us to have a fair fight, and for me to earn the victory!"
"Plus since Heroics are a aggressive Deck, the effect of Heroic Gift will be useful for draw power while the points they gain only being a minor inconvenience since the power of the Heroics would quickly lower them again." Timmy said in addition to that reasoning.
"Well it gives Yuma options, the question is what he does now." Anna pointed out.
Yuma looked at his hand now having a clear road, "Okay Nistro, you want my best, you got it!" Taking a card he called, "I start by summoning Gagaga Magician from my hand!"
At that the Magician rose up readying.

At that a cowboy with a large tattered cape rose kneeling.

"No joke. When I use Child's ability, I'm not allowed to attack this turn." Yuma explained to him.
Timmy nodded hearing that, "Since he skipped his Battle Phase, the only thing he can do now is gear up his defenses. But that monster's Defense Points aren't high enough to hold back Kusanagi."
"It doesn't look like his opponent likes that though." Anna pointed out.
"Now I use Cowboy's ability!" Yuma called as Cowboy takes a Unit, (ORU: 2 - 1) "Depending on Battle Mode, it can use an ability by using an Overlay Unit! Since he's in Defense Mode, you take 800 points of damage!"
Cowboy shot some blasts from his pistols striking Nistro. (Nistro: 2400/Hand: 3)
"Is this some kind of joke? I want to duel Yuma, not this coward before me!" Nistro yelled which made Yuma blink, "The Yuma I know doesn't run from a challenge, and faces threats in front of him not this 'playing it safe' guy!"
Timmy flinched a little. "Harsh much?"
"Sometimes you need tough love." Anna pointed out. "And he has a point, if what Dextra told us is true playing defensively could get people hurt."
"Wait you dueled Dextra?" Tori asked hearing that, "And she really said something like that?"
"Yeah, I did." Timmy nodded before telling them what happened as Anna gently took his hand while he did.
The three looked shocked at this as Yuma said in shock, "What? Your Grandmother really sounds like a real piece of work in a good way."
If Nistro haven't respected Timmy before, then he does even more. What he heard is what is the bedrock of many great warriors, despite the harsh conditions that happened in life, they endure it to keep fighting, and prove themselves to the world, they have a place in it. Same as he when he, and Dextra were orphans as kids before Mr. Heartland found them, and made them his best officers through tough training.
"So Yuma... you should listen to Nistro, and fight with all you got cause Defense either helps or hinders." Timmy said to Yuma, "Offense is the best Defense in duels."
Yuma gave thought before closing his eyes before he stopped his Duel Coaster which made the other two follow suit. Turning to Tori, "Tori can you try getting on their Duel Car? If I'm gonna fight with all I got, I don't want you to get hurt."
She looked shocked before slowly nodding as Anna and Timmy reached to help her across the cars. Just as soon as she reached them, and sat down in between Anna, and Timmy, they nodded before starting the cars again heading off before Yuma grinned to Nistro, "Now Nistro where we're we?"
Nistro grinned at him before Yuma sets a card, "I place 1 card face-down to end my turn."

What rose up was a large golden armored warrior that has three spikes on it's back as if showing wings with a large two handed golden bladed sword readying.

Kusanagi ejected a sword hilt from it's boot as it formed a blade which made it charge in at Cowboy. Since he is attacking Desert Field's effect activates. (Nistro: 1800/Hand: 3) He then raised his arm, "Then Claivesolish's ability activates! When a monster you control engages in battle, I can use an Overlay Unit for Claivesolish to gain points equal to your monster's!"
A Overlay Unit was absorbed by Claivesolish's sword. (ORU: 2 - 1) He then raised his sword holding it above his head.
Claivesolish: (ATK: 2500 + 1500 = 4000)
"Ok... maybe it's a good thing Yuma's life points increased to 8000." Anna admitted.
Kusanagi charged forward at Yuma who called, "Sorry Nistro piercing damage isn't on the menu cause I activate the trap, Draining Shield!"

(ORU: 3 - 2) "By using an Overlay Unit, the activation of a Trap Card is negated! But not only that Kusanagi gains 500 more attack points!"

Yuma watched in shock as Kusanagi performed a downward x slash at Cowboy destroying him while Yuma braced himself against the piercing damage. (Yuma: 6000/Hand: 3)
"Oh, and don't think I forgot about Claivesolish! Attack with Sword from the Heavens!"
Said Xyz raise up slashing down at Yuma who cried out from the direct attack. (Yuma: 2000/Hand: 3)
"Yuma!" Tori cried nervously seeing that.
(Nistro: 1600/Hand: 3)
"Ha, how you like that Yuma!?" Nistro grinned laughing not noticing the track ahead is out before he slipped, and screamed falling off.
Gasping seeing this Timmy cried to everyone, "Everyone get your seatbelts on! This is gonna be a bumpy landing!"
They all did so as the coaster reached the end of the track. They landed on the ground a groaning mess as Yuma raise up groaning holding his head, "Ah man... is my head still in tact?"
"Everyone is alright Yuma. We're now onto the true Duel Field of this area." Astral said to everyone seeing their now in a desert barren land with a sunset in the distance.
"Then, did the Field change?" Timmy asked checking on his car.
Seeing the card he read it aloud for everyone:

"Sounds good to me what about you Yuma?" Nistro grinned.
Yuma only grinned back standing up, "A perfect final battleground for us. Since your already in your Battle Phase, both your monsters are safe."
"Well we still got a match Yuma." Nistro smirked setting two cards, "I end my turn."

"Okay my draw!" Yuma drew looking at his drawn card. Before he can make a move Nistro called, "And Yuma!" He looked at him before Nistro grinned, "Don't think on keeping him waiting! Bring out Utopia!"
"Utopia? Is he really sure about it?" Yuma was pretty surprised by the request. As from he has no, that will be no problem but Nistro has no Numbers so it would be unfair for Nistro to face a monster that has a pretty decent battle protection.
"Go ahead, and do it Yuma. He made it quite clear he wishes to face you at your best. So grant his wish." Astral advised looking at him.
Yuma looked on before grinning nodding agreeing to Nistro the satisfaction of facing Yuma's signature card. Turning to Nistro he called, "Alright Nistro, you want to face Utopia you got it! Since your the only player that has monsters, I can summon Gagaga Head with no sacrifice!"
A portal opened showing a monster that resembles Gagaga Magician with blonde hair, and muscles.

"And with Magician, and Head on the field, I can overlay both of them to build the Overlay Network!" Yuma called as the two glowed black shooting in the Overlay Network before exploding.
"Carry hope on white wings! Xyz Summon! Come forth, Number 39! Rank 4, Messenger of Light - Utopia!"
Utopia's sealed form appeared before deforming into Utopia himself readying for a brawl.

"I'll pick Kusanagi." Nistro smirked as his stronger Xyz Monster shattered.
"So it's Utopia vs Claivesolish." Anna noted.
"Alright now go Utopia, attack Heroic Champion - Claivesolish!"
Utopia charged forward at the Xyz who readied. Nistro only grinned, "Claivesolish's ability activates!" Claivesolish takes it's second Unit raising it up. (ORU: 1 - 0) "So now Claivesolish gains Utopia's attack points!"
Claivesolish: (ATK: 2500 + 2500 = 5000)
"Maybe but by using an Overlay Unit, Utopia can stop his attack!" Utopia takes a unit in it's chest. (ORU: 2 - 1) It's swords vanished at this before Yuma added, "But now I can even things with Double or Nothing!"

"Now go Utopia finish him off!" Utopia grabbing two swords slash down Nistro's Xyz destroying it while Nistro stepped back with Utopia unaffected from the attack since it's a Number. Yuma then grinned, "Then thanks to Sunset Showdown's effect as your monster is destroyed in battle, you take 300 points of damage!"
Nistro only grinned back to him. "Well, I use Damage Diet to halve the damage this turn!"

When an Xyz Monster you control is destroyed by battle: Pay 1000 Life Points; you reveal 1 Xyz Monster from the Extra Deck with a Rank less than or equal to that destroyed monster's, and so can your opponent (simultaneously). The player who revealed the monster with lower ATK takes damage equal to the difference between the revealed monsters' ATK's. If the opponent doesn't reveal a monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of your revealed monster.
"By paying 1000 Life Points, we both reveal an Xyz Monster in our Decks as long as it's rank is equal or lower to my monster that was destroyed in battle!" Nistro grinned glowing red. (Nistro: 0450/Hand: 1) "The player who reveals a monster who's attack points are lower takes damage equal to the difference!"
"Xyz Xtreme !?" Timmy blinked seeing the card, "First time, I am ever seeing that card."
"It's a powerful trap, and it could end the duel right here." Anna explained.
"Alright Yuma, here's my card." Nistro smirked revealing a card.

"So Yuma what's your monster gonna be?" Nistro grinned to him.
Yuma only looked before revealing a card, "It's gonna be this one here!" He reveals One-Eyed Skill Gainer. The trap's effect struck Nistro who grunted. (Nistro: 0200/Hand: 1)
He only grinned, "I haven't felt a tension like this in a long time... Not ever since Kite had been against me. Yuma, your definitely a fun opponent! And now that my Life Points are at the right setting, now things will get REALLY interesting!"
"What do you mean?" Tori asked nervously.
Yuma grunted ending his turn with two set cards.

"Cause now as my Life Points are 500 or less Heroic Envoy's effect in the graveyard activates!" He takes a card, "I take Double Lance back to my hand from the graveyard! Then in addition as my Life Points are 500 or lower Morning Star's effect in the graveyard revives him under the condition, I negate it's abilities!"
The graveyard portal popped up only for Morning Star to pop out kneeling.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Timmy frowned.
"Then I summon Double Lance!" Nistro called summoning back the card he added as it popped up.

"Then if you remember before, Double Lance summons back his partner from the graveyard!" The graveyard portal opened as Double Lance plunged his hand in pulling out the second Double Lance.

"Then next up is Thousand Sword's ability!" Nistro grinned discarding a card, "I discard a Heroic from my hand so I can summon a second Extra Sword from my Deck!"
An Extra Sword popped up filling the last Monster Zone on Nistro's field.

After summoning Extra Sword, Thousand Sword kneeled down. (Defense Position)
"Five monsters?" Yuya asked in shock.
"This is bad." Tori mentioned nervously.
"Now Yuma allow me to show you my two most baddest Champions!" Nistro grinned raising his arm as the five glowed jumping into two separate Overlay Networks.
"What now?" Anna questioned.
"First the card your familiar with!" The first Overlay Network shattered before materializing.
"The Sword of King Arthur takes the form of a champion to wield it all the way to the power of the immobile will of the Phoenix to pave the way to glory! Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Heroic Champion - Excalibur!"
Excalibur from his match with Nelson rose up readying itself.

"And next the card that I save for best!" The second Overlay Network shattered.
"The Spear of King Arthur transformed into a immobile Champion fit for kingship! Now it shall lead the champions into glory for the will of the Phoenix! Xyz Summon! Rise, Number 86! Heroic Champion - Rhongomyniad!"
A red 86 appeared before what rose was a white plated warrior wielding a large fancy spear with a gold crown like helmet readying.

"A Number!" Tori cried in shock.
"Whoa!" Yuma cried in shock before pausing, "Wait, 1500 attack points?"
"It gains abilities based on how many Overlay Units it has Yuma." Nistro grinned to him, "When he has one, you cannot destroy him in battle even if you use a Number! The next is with two, it's points are doubled! With 3, you can't use effects on Rhongomyniad. With 4, your not allowed to summon a monster! And finally with 5, I can destroy every card you have on your field once a turn!"
Rhongomyniad only has three units so it doesn't really matter for the forth, and fifth effects but Nistro added, "Next as Extra Sword is used to summon Rhongomyniad it gains 1000 attack points!"

"4000 points, and Excalibur's ability doubles his points!" Tori recalled.
"Then by using all it's Overlay Units, Excalibur's attack points are doubled it's original!"

"Finally, I banish Heroic Call from the graveyard to use it's effect!" Nistro grinned as the card he discarded from Thousand Swords vanished, "By banishing this card, Excalibur gains 500 points for every Heroic on my field, and are Overlay Units! Two on my field, and three as Overlay Units. So that's 5, and that equals total to an extra 2500!"
Excalibur's large sword appeared as it rose it up. (ATK: 4000 + (500 * 5) = 6500)
"Yuma!" Tori cried seeing that.
Yuma grunted at this before Nistro added, "And now time to battle! Rhongomyniad attack Utopia! With Heroic Spear!"
Rhongomyniad charged in at Utopia who braced himself which Yuma called, "Go trap, Half Unbreak!"

"So now Utopia can't be destroyed this turn, and any damage I take is cut in half!" Yuma called as Rhongomyniad stabbed the bubble protecting Utopia but Yuma got hit by the shockwave. (Yuma: 1250/Hand: 0)
"Okay you had your fun but now Excalibur charge in with Heroic Slash!" Excalibur raised it's large sword charging to destroy Utopia. Yuma at that called, "I activate Utopia's ability! Go Lightwing Shield!"
Utopia takes it's second unit. (ORU: 1 - 0) It popped it's shield blocking Excalibur's strong slash.
"He survived, but barely." Timmy frowned.
"In addition, Sunset Showdown does nothing to clear Nistro's field since Rhongomyniad is unaffected to it's effect." Astral added looking onto this, "Nistro not only kept two attackers he's also devastating Yuma with them."
"Yeah, but with only 200 life points if Nistro loses a single monster he loses the duel." Anna pointed out.
Nistro only smirked at that, "I know, but the fear of losing gives spice to the battle!"
Yuma smiled. "That's true Nistro."
"Besides Satisfaction comes first!" Nistro added with a clenched fist.
"Spoken like a true warrior..." Timmy admitted hearing that.
"Alright Yuma I end my turn." Nistro smirked setting a card.

"Okay, got only Utopia who doesn't have an Overlay Unit, and 1 set card... Alright draw!" Yuma drew looking at his drawn card. Suddenly widening his eyes he then grins, "I activate Cosmic Cyclone!"

Nistro's face-down was flipped to be Heroic Retribution Sword before it vanished. Yuma then called, "Alright you with me Astral!"
"As always Yuma!" Astral called as Utopia went back to it's sealed form flying in the Overlay Network.
"What the?" Nistro questioned.
Yuma, and Astral declared at the same time, "Show yourself, the power of hope, the messenger that changes chaos into light! Chaos Xyz Change! Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray!/Show yourself, the power of hope, the messenger that changes chaos into light! Chaos Xyz Change! Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray!"
At that what rose was a black armored red eyed warrior that has two swords with mechanical arms with a large broadsword on it's back rose up readying itself.

Timmy was also stunned from what he's seeing having never seen that card before.
"That... I've never seen anything like that." Anna whispered in disbelief.
"Now by using all it's Overlay Units, Utopia Ray gains 500 attack points!/Now by using all it's Overlay Units, Utopia Ray gains 500 attack points!" Two mechanical arms grabbed Utopia Ray's giant sword raising it as the Overlay Units were absorbed, "OVERLAY CHARGE!/OVERLAY CHARGE!"

With the Duel's end Astral reached a hand taking Rhongomyniad before viewing it examining his memory locked in the card.
Nistro laughed heartedly, "Boy, I haven't had a duel like that in SO long!"
"That was way too close." Tori sighed in relief.
Yuma laughed as Nistro walked over, "Yuma." Yuma looked at him confused as Nistro smirked before handing him a card, "Here, I want you to have this."
Yuma takes it before widening his eyes seeing Nistro gave him Excalibur.
"Nistro, this is..." Yuma started in shock.
"Just make sure you continue giving your best, or you'll deal with ME." Nistro grinned holding his arm out.
Yuma looked before grinning taking it, "Got it Nistro! I'll be sure to take care of Excalibur!"
They watch with smiles at this now that Yuma is advancing forward to the finals with Timmy with that Chaos Number monster definitely being a hard challenge to get passed.
Later...
After bidding Nistro farewell Yuma, and Tori in one car with Anna, and Timmy in a second both rode together out of the Duel Field to find a third Field to see the rest of the competition they'll potentially face in the semifinals. During which Anna notices Timmy was looking down.
"Timmy, what's wrong?" Anna asked gently.
He only turned to her, "It's... it's about how tough this tournament might be soon Anna. First there was Dextra who's really stronger, then Yuma with that Chaos Number of his against Nistro who is really powerful himself. It makes me wonder if I'm able to stand a chance against them."
"Timmy listen to me, it doesn't matter if you win the tournament or not, just do your best and know I'm right here with you." Anna told him before gently kissing his forehead.
He looked at his girlfriend before smiling nodding, "I will still try to win the wish for you."
"I know you will, and I'm rooting for you." Anna smiled.
Timmy nodded before an explosion was sound turning before something crashed in Anna, and Timmy's car surprising them rocking it which made it bump into Yuma, and Tori's startling them as they turned.
Hearing a groan Timmy looked seeing Orbital was there in a groaning mess. Widening his eyes Timmy cried, "Hey, your that robot that's with Kite!"
"Orbital?" Yuma asked. "Wait, but that would mean Kite's nearby!"
Orbital shook his head, "M-M-Master K-Kite is dueling now, and the f-f-f-feed got cutoff, so I have to s-s-see if he's okay!" He turned to Timmy pausing seeing him remembering his words from his duel against Dextra.
Said boy was blinking when Orbital was looking at him, "Uh... hi?"
"Come on, we need to find Kite." Yuma pointed out.
Nodding they reach guiding their cars with Timmy's ahead. Hearing a beep Anna looked seeing on their map was a Duel Field with two IDs.

"Quinton?" Anna asked.
Timmy looked over saying, "That's one of the names Yuma told us about on the three people that are helping that Vetrix guy. Quattro might be busy with Shark if we found him, and no-one else in the finals. Either way this is where Kite is. Come on!" He turned his car over to the field with Yuma's following.
Soon they arrived at a space themed field.
"Whoa..." Timmy looked around amazed, "I been to the planetarium several times at home but this is so life like here."
Anna meanwhile looks as the Field's card.

Hearing Orbital they looked down seeing on a space ship was two people. One has a field that only has a set card (or so it seems), and that person has long white hair down his back with a green tattoo over his left eye wearing a long white, and blue cloak.
The other was Kite who was looking really confused.

Looking at the field Timmy blinked before looking around, "Hey Anna do you see this Dyson Sphere on Quinton's side? I don't see it anywhere."
"Huh, no I don't." she admitted.
Soon they reach the field which Kite, and Quinton looked over where the occupants hopped off the car showing Anna, Timmy, Orbital, Yuma, and Tori.
"What are you two doing here?" Kite questioned seeing Yuma and Timmy.
"We came to find you Kite! Vetrix is planning something with you, and taking Hart's power is something bad that might come if you continue to get him!" Yuma called to him, "Dextra, she tried to help you!"
"I could care less." Kite said dismissive which shocked them but Quinton who stared silently at this exchange.
Timmy at that said to Kite, "But Kite she had feelings for you! Don't you care about that?"
"What she feels for me is wasted on. I don't deserve true happiness since I sold myself to gain the power I have now." Kite said with closed eyes, "The only thing that matters to me is Hart."
Yuma at that looked angry grabbing Kite's collar glaring, "Kite, you have people who care about you, and you think your brother's the only one who deserves it!?"
Kite only stared silently before turning his direction to Timmy who looked a little surprised from Kite's sudden shift of attention to him before the older boy freed himself from Yuma looking at him.
Timmy knowing he has to keep things from being awkward tried to say something, "Uh..."
"I heard about it."
Timmy blinked from Kite saying that, "Huh? Heard what?"
"Your grandmother." Kite answered.
That made the younger boy widen his eyes, "You... you know about what my Grandmother done for me?"
"Yes, I do." Kite confirmed.
The boy in front of him looked down, "She was like you... putting her needs aside for me. I didn't know you were putting your health in grave danger for your brother's sake. If you would've told me about it..."
"I didn't had an interest why to tell you by that point." Kite told him.
Timmy looked up at him who stared back.
"I can see you have a soft spot for anyone other then your brother, Kite." they looked over seeing Quinton walking over.
"It's you." Yuma said recognizing him from when he, and Kite went to save Hart together, and Quinton told him something alarming.
"It's fitting that the three of us are gathered here, Yuma Tsukumo. Destiny has clearly brought us together." Quinton said to Yuma.
Yuma grunted before telling him, "I want some answers from you. Listen, tell me where my father is!"
Quinton closed his eyes before nodding. "Alright. Before Kite and I resume, I'll you everything I know about your father."
Kite has other opinions though. "I wanna duel now! You can share your stories some other time! Are we gonna continue to battle or not?"
"It can wait." Quinton stated to Kite. "The story that I'm about to tell concerns you, as well. Perhaps it will help all of you understand my family's actions. Why we came here to compete in the Duel Carnival and why we targeted Kite and his brother Hart."
"I want to hear that too, why are you doing all of this?" Timmy asked him.
"The answer is that they are linked to our real enemy. We seek revenge against their father, Dr. Faker!" Quinton answered.
That shocked several but Timmy was confused blinking. Dr. Faker? Who is that? Judging from how Quinton sounds this Dr. Faker must've done something terrible to Quinton's family if they are here trying to destroy Kite, and Hart. But what exactly could that be? He only asked, "Dr. Faker...? I don't know who that is? Who is it?"
"Tim. He's the founder of Heartland City." Yuma said to him, "As in the guy who built Heartland City with his own two hands."
"Wait, you're Dr. Faker's son?" Anna asked turning to Kite in shock.
Kite only stared silent as Quinton began telling his story.
Five years ago, Dr. Faker along with Quinton's father, Byron Arclight, and Quinton himself worked together to find something called the Interdimensional Portal using experiments to find it by predicting where exactly it will appear next to head into other worlds. They hit setbacks since Dr. Faker's calculations aren't enough by themselves, and can't find the exact location. Byron suggested to get the help of Yuma's father, Kazuma Tsukumo who is a well known explorer that might know the answer.
After picking him up, and filling him in Kazuma said to Dr. Faker if they succeed he'll become rich, and famous beyond his wildest dreams. Dr. Faker only brushed them off stating their no concern to him stating finding the portal only matters to him which was enough for Kazuma to lend his aid. Dr. Faker shows Kazuma what they have so far saying a piece is missing but Kazuma only stated there are TWO pieces missing as some things can be discovered outside the lab. With the data Kazuma shared Dr. Faker managed to find the location of the next portal.
They headed over right away, and Byron told Quinton to stay behind out of concern for him. Byron later returned explaining what happened to Quinton several years later. In a camp Dr. Faker discovered a riddle that reads, "Deliver two souls for mysteries untold." which spells out that in order for the portal to activate, Dr. Faker needs to sacrifice two souls. As a matter of fact those two souls are with him in the form of Kazuma, and Byron. After walking in the ruin, and finding the portal Dr. Faker let Kazuma, and Byron enter the sacrifice plate where they together we're both sucked in a vortex allowing Dr. Faker to use the portal.
Byron was separated from Kazuma, and wound in a world called Barian where he found power consumed with the desire for vengeance, and as a result his appearance became warped when he returned now in the form of a child calling himself Vetrix. Life back at home was trouble for Quinton as without his father, his brothers Trey, and Quattro we're taken away by authorities. Quinton wanted to take them back but he wants to find out what happened, and along the way he met Kite, and Hart reminding him of his own brothers, and taught Kite how to duel.
But later upon finding out the truth Quinton angerly stormed out, and when Kite went to stop him Quinton pushed him down stomping out. Later he, and his brothers we're encountered by Vetrix who gave them a crest, and explained everything that had happened telling them that his desire of revenge on Dr. Faker is now the number 1 priority to all four of them all agreeing as Quinton felt it was his duty as his son to follow Vetrix's wishes despite knowing it's not right which leads us to here.
Everyone looked stunned hearing that.
"Then..." Recalling who he saw before his match with Dextra, Timmy realized, "Then that kid... That was Vetrix, I saw!"
"You saw him?" Yuma asked in shock.
"Before I dueled Dextra, I felt a vibe from him, and seen him looking at me before he speed off." Timmy explained to him.
Anna frowned taking his hand.
"That was the last anyone saw of my father..." Yuma looked down.
Astral thinks on the riddle, '"Deliver two souls for mysteries untold." That sounds like an Xyz Summon.'
"It's all Faker's fault. He betrayed my father." Quinton glared after finishing his story, "And I've sworn to someday get revenge."
"This doesn't change anything." Kite stated with a glare of his own as they looked to him, "Dr. Faker means nothing to me. I only care about Hart." He then snapped at him, "And getting even for what you did!"
Turning to them, "Move away. All of you."
Hesitantly they all moved to let the duel continue. But Timmy paused looking at Kite then Quinton before looking down walking with the others. Once they were out of the way they turned to the duel.

"It's my turn draw!" Kite drew looking, 'Okay from his attack last turn his Number dealt 1000 points of damage when it attacked my Photon Delta Wing. That means it has 2800 attack points. Well I got one monster who can deal with it!' "To start I summon Photon Thrasher!"
Thrasher popped up readying it's blade.

"Yeah, it means that's coming." Yuma nodded. "Kite's ace."
"By Tributing two monsters with 2000 or more Attack Points, I can summon this next card!" Kite called as his two Photons vanished as the Key appeared.
Kite tossed it up as it build energy, "The galaxy that lurks in the darkness. Become the light of hope and my very servant. The embodiment of light, now descend! Appear now, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
Kite's signature card that Timmy's Dragons each struggled defeating popped up roaring loud.

Timmy shuddered slightly recognizing the powerful dragon.
"Now let's try this again! Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon attack Dyson Sphere!"
Galaxy-Eyes roared firing a blast at the space beside Quinton but a Black Hole appeared absorbing the attack before vanishing.
"What just happened?" Orbital questioned.
"The attack... failed?" Tori asked.
"Yes it did... It's cause the Number in question cannot fall to such trivial attacks."
At that they begin to hear wiring machines from Quinton's speech. Timmy notices something, and gasped in shock.
"Timmy?" Anna asked. "What are you..."
She turned only for her eyes to widen seeing what he saw. Machines are moving around the sun as before their very eyes the Number that wasn't there before started to reveal itself unfolding to reveal it's large size, and dominance while Kite also looks stunned as metal being moved was heard.
Soon when it was done the Number was revealed to be a five plated fin Canopy Star with a orange energy ring around it's core, and some Satellites around it. On the side of it's core where the sun is was a large purple 9 that reveals it's a Number that shows itself to be 10 times larger then the sun itself.

"That thing's enormous!" Yuma cried in shock.
Timmy stared at it in shock, 'Was that... is that probably as big as an Earthbound Immortal...?' He shook his head, 'No... if it's big enough to orbit around the sun... that will make the Immortals look like ants.'
"It doesn't matter what kind of monster, you put before it Kite. Dyson Sphere cannot be defeated." Quinton said to Kite taking in his former student's shocked look.
Kite only gritted, "No there must be a way to destroy it."
Timmy gritted his teeth. "Yeah there's gotta be... No monster is truly invincible, it must have a weakness."
That's when he saw Anna was staring at the monster only she didn't look intimidated. He blinked at that, "Anna?"
"Huh?" she asked turning to him. "Is everything ok?"
"Aren't you like at all... a bit overwhelmed by this Number?" Timmy asked as Tori, and Orbital looked behind them seeing the panels of Dyson Sphere are behind them.
Anna paused. "Honestly, no. I'm not."
Timmy blinked before Quinton states, "The power of Dyson Sphere is limitless as it's a Space Colony that uses the power of the sun to feed it energy. An example is that as long as it has Overlay Units, your attacks will be negated."
"So that's why the attacks failed earlier. But now that I know what it is, I got a chance to get around that." Kite said to Quinton.
Quinton only scoffed, "Your more than welcomed to try but it's not as simple as it sounds." As he said that Kite set a card to end his turn.
Kite's Hand: 2/Field: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (Attack Position), One Set Card
Quinton ? Turn:
"It's my turn draw!" Quinton drew before he said, "I know what your thinking Kite. Your thinking since Dyson Sphere has 2800 attack points while your dragon has 3000, you think our safe. But you failed to take something into account!"
"His monster can get more powerful?" Yuma asked in shock.
"The answer is more then that! By using an Overlay Unit, I can use the second of Dyson Sphere's powerful abilities! One as such as if you have a monster that's stronger then it on the field it can attack you directly!"
An Overlay Unit that was on one of Dyson Sphere's panels as through flowing on it like energy flew up into Dyson Sphere's core. (ORU: 2 - 1)
"A direct attack?" Kite questioned hearing that.
"What? A monster that has 2800 attack points that can not only negate attacks but can attack directly?" Timmy asked stunned.
Dyson Sphere fired a large barrage of lasers at Kite who quickly called, "I activate Lumenize!"

Recognizing the trap Timmy called, "Oh! With Lumenize, Dyson Sphere's attack will be negated, then until Kite's end phase, Photon Dragon gains it's attack points!"
"I don't think it'll be that simple." Astral frowned.
Quinton at that called, "Everything you do is painfully predictable Kite. I activate the trap, Seven Tools of the Bandit!"

"When you use a trap card, this card negates that card at the cost of 1000 life points." (Quinton: 3000/Hand: 3) With Lumenize's effect gone Dyson Sphere continued it's attack which made Kite cry out landing hard on the ground while Orbital cried, "M-M-Master K-Kite!" (Kite: 0200/Hand: 2)
"This is bad, Kite doesn't stand a chance against that thing." Yuma frowned.
For once Timmy's not sure if Kite can manage. A Number that can negate attacks means Photon Dragon's ability won't help him out of this, and then with it attacking directly Kite won't manage to evade anymore attacks unless he-Wait. That's it!
"No, there is a chance he can do it." Timmy said which made them look to him confused.
Quinton said to Kite, "You should give up now Kite. I know all your tricks, and your abilities."
"Kite get up!" Two Duelists looked to Yuma who called, "Come on Kite you need to be back up! What would happen to Hart if you give up!"
That spark a defiance against Quinton in Kite as he tries to raise up. Orbital tried to back Yuma up while also scolding him but a look from Timmy made him be quiet. Quinton turned to Yuma, "Yuma, don't you understand? Kite is the son of Dr. Faker, the very same man who's responsible for your father's disappearance. You should be on our side, why defend him?"
"Because we dueled! A duel is a true way for friends to connect, and I dueled Kite before, and no matter the differences we're friends!" Yuma answered that simply, "That's how I feel the flow, and High Five the Sky!"
"Quiet Yuma!"
Yuma looked to Kite who stood up glaring, "I don't need your words Yuma... I know what I need to know."

Timmy grinned calling, "Now without any Overlay Units, Dyson Sphere can't negate attacks, or can attack directly anymore!"
"That means he can attack Quinton's Number." Tori realiz
"And now Photon Dragon attack with Photon Stream of Destruction!" Kite called as his dragon charged a blast.
Sure Dyson Sphere can't be destroyed since it's a Number but damage is damage no matter how little of it is. That is until Quinton called, "I knew you would do that tactic. Even Dyson Sphere has prepared for a move like that. I activate the third of Dyson Sphere's abilities!" He raised his arm as the graveyard portal opened, "When it's attacked without any Overlay Units, it regains 2 Overlay Units from the graveyard!"
The two units flew out attaching themselves back to Dyson Sphere. (ORU: 0 - 1 - 2) "And with that it's first ability activates stopping the attack!" Dyson Sphere called a black hole absorbing Photon Dragon's attack without much effort.
Timmy grunted, "Negate attacks, can attack directly, and now regaining Overlay Units!?"
"Then... Kite's going to lose?" Yuma asked in disbelief.
Kite grunt harder as Quinton said to him, "I told you before no one has ever defeated Dyson Sphere in battle Kite, and no one will ever will."
Kite only looked at his hand before setting a card, "I end my turn."

"My turn draw!" Quinton drew as they watched tense for him to attack directly again.
But Quinton did the opposite calling, "And I activate the Equip Spell, Gravity Blaster!"

"Huh Equip Spell?" Yuma asked confused.
"With Gravity Blaster's effect, it gains 400 attack points every round." Quinton told everyone.

"He's not attacking directly, he's planning to win by destroying Galaxy-Eyes." Anna frowned. "By destroying Kite's ace monster in battle."
"Like she said Kite, you also know." Quinton told Kite, "I want the satisfaction of destroying your precious Galaxy-Eyes. Gravity Blaster also negates it's abilities in battle. Dyson Sphere attack Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
Dyson Sphere fired a barrage of lasers at Galaxy-Eyes before Kite calling, "I activate my face-down, Boo-Boo Game!"

Photon Dragon was blasted repeatedly by the lasers destroying it while Kite was pushed back crying out landing hard again.
"Kite!" Yuma cried running to help him up.
"Stay back!" Kite yelled making Yuma stop, "I don't need your help Yuma!"
He slowly stood up saying to Quinton, "I knew... I knew you would want to destroy Galaxy-Eyes, Quinton. So I had that card ready in case."
"You remember what I do, but it'll take more then that to win." Quinton eyes a card in his hand before setting it, "I end my turn."

"My... My turn draw!" Kite drew looking before widening his eyes. 'Seriously? Out of all the cards in my Deck... I drawn this one?' What he drawn was a spell called Message in a Bottle, 'The spell that helps me win today?'
"Ma... Master Kite..." Orbital whispered nervously.
Kite raise up before calling, "You said you know all my tricks Quinton... But this is one you don't know!" Quinton looked confused when Kite rose a spell, "I activate the Spell, Message in a Bottle!"

Target 3 monsters with different Levels in your Graveyard; Special Summon all 3 of them. Their ATK's become 0, also their effects are negated. If you do not Xyz Summon this turn after Summoning those 3 monsters, you lose 4000 Life Points during the End Phase. You cannot Special Summon any other monsters, except by Xyz Summon, during the turn you activate this card.
The name of the card shocked Timmy, and Quinton for two reasons. For Timmy he knew about Message in a Bottle's existence, and due to it's pricy effect never seen anyone use it. For Quinton he had never seen Kite using the card before him.
"What does that do?" Yuma asked.
"That card..." They looked to Timmy who looked stunned but explained, "Allows Kite to summon 3 monsters with different levels from the graveyard in exchange for them not having their attack points or abilities. But if he doesn't Xyz Summon when he uses it, he will lose 4000 Life Points."
"Wait, but the monsters will all have different levels so how can he Xyz Summon?" Tori asked in confusion.
"So now come back Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Photon Pirate, and Photon Thrasher!"
The three monsters popped up readying.

"And now I activate Galaxy Queen's Light!" Kite called using a second spell.

"Due to it's effect Pirate, and Thrasher become the same level as Photon Dragon!"
The two glowed bright readying.

"Three level eight monsters... that means Kite's going to..." Yuma started as Timmy and Anna recalled the monster he played against Quattro and Trey.
"Now I Overlay level 8 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Photon Pirate, and Photon Thrasher!" Kite called as the three glowed into light flying up in the Overlay Network as a large key appeared in his hand as he glowed in a bright crimson aura.
"Radiant galaxy, here and now become the striking light, and show yourself! Xyz Summon! Descend, My very soul! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
The Overlay Network shattered as he threw the key into it before materializing. What emerged from the Overlay Network was a large red light dragon with three tails, and three heads raising up roaring loud.

"Holy... So that is Neo Photon Dragon?" Timmy asked stunned from what he's feeling, and sensing. Even his dragons sound really impressed in his head.
"It's... incredible." Tori said in awe.
"When I Xyz Summon, Space Field allows me to draw a card!" Kite drew before calling, "Then as Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon was used to summon Neo Photon Dragon the effects of all monsters but itself are negated! Photon Howling!"
Neo Photon Dragon roared loud as the energy from Dyson Sphere starts to darken, and die as it slowly starts darkening while Quinton looked around, "It's losing power..."

"Without it's special abilities, Dyson Sphere has to be vulnerable this time." Timmy pointed out.
"Then I activate the spell, Mystical Space Typhoon!" Kite called.

Gravity Blaster shattered from the effect as he added, "Then I activate Neo Photon Dragon's ability!" The stronger dragon takes a Unit (ORU: 3 - 2) Before Kite explains, "By using 1 Overlay Unit, it can absorb the Overlay Units of every one of your monsters on the field, and not only gains 500 attack points for each, it also gains 1 attack!"
Both of Dyson Sphere's Overlay Units were absorbed as Neo Photon Dragon roared.
Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon: (ATK: 4500 + (500 * 2) = 5500/Can attack twice this turn)
"That means he can attack twice, Kite's about to win." Yuma grinned.
Quinton stared before Kite called, "Now Neo Photon Dragon attack Dyson Sphere now!" Neo Photon Dragon shot a large light at Dyson Sphere's core. A few seconds passed but eventually explosions started hitting Dyson Sphere before before destroyed as Quinton merely stands in front of it not moving. (Quinton: 0300/Hand: 2)
Kite stares at his former mentor saying, "When you left, I wanted to go after you... But I held myself back... One the things you taught me is not to rely on just one teacher."
Quinton gave a soft smile before Kite called, "Neo Galaxy-Eyes finish this with Ultimate Photon Stream of Destruction!"
As Neo Photon Dragon starts to charge Quinton closed his eyes, "I can see how strong you gotten Kite. The student has finally surpassed the teacher." He then opened his eyes, "However... it won't be that simple."
"Huh?" Kite blinked at this.
Quinton activates, "I activate the trap card, Canopy Star's Destruction!"

"When I'm attacked directly when a Machine Xyz Monster was destroyed, this card stops your attack, and deals damage to both of us equal to Dyson Sphere's attack points!" Quinton revealed.
"Say what?" Kite questioned hearing that.
"Wait so their taking 2800 points of damage now?" Anna asked shocked.
"If he does that then..." Timmy trailed off as explosions were let off while Kite, and Quinton cried out from the force landing hard on their backs.

"Wait, but what happens now?" Tori asked.
The two stood up walking as they stared at each other before Quinton said, "At the end of revenge there is nothing... but I knew from the beginning."
"Quinton-No..." Kite corrected before saying, "Christopher Arclight..."
"It's been a long time since someone called me by that name." Quinton or Chris smiled, "Like father we hid away our real identities... I felt it was my duty as his son to follow his wishes..."
"Your wrong." Chris looked to Kite who said, "As soon as Hart is all better, I'm going to confront my own father. He will not get away with what he had done. I will also take your feelings onto Vetrix as well."
Chris only looked before smiling, "Kite... you have indeed became strong... Well... since the two of us gotten a DRAW... no-one here advances."
"So... either Shark, or Quattro will advance next." Yuma said realizing that.
"Well come on Tori we better catch up to Shark, and Quattro!" Yuma said to Tori who nodded before they ran to their car. When they entered Tori looked at Anna, and Timmy, "Hey are you two coming with us?"
Timmy looked toward Kite, and Chris before he said to them, "You go on ahead, we'll catch up."
"Alright, we still have to meet up in the finals." Yuma told him as he and Tori raced off.
That left Timmy, Anna, Kite, Chris, and Orbital alone in the Space Field before they turned to each other. Timmy looked to Kite who looked at him before looking down, "So... everything you heard from my match with Dextra is now clear."
"Yeah, it is." he nodded.
Chris blinked confused before turning to Kite, "You know something about him Kite?"
"Yeah, I do." Kite nodded. "It isn't my place to say though."
"No Kite." they looked to him who had slight tears before he said to Kite, "He has the right to know. Me, you, and him... we're all practically in the same boat."
Kite stared at him before nodding and repeating what he heard Timmy tell Dextra. Chris listened nodding, and giving out frowns while listening while Anna hugs Timmy. Timmy hugged his girlfriend back. Soon enough Kite finished.
Chris frowned before looking at Timmy asking, "Young man?" Timmy looked at him who kneeled before saying, "Everything your Grandmother done was for your own sake. She might be gone now, but now you gotta live on, and show everyone all she had done is not gonna be wasted. Whatever your parents done was horrible, and no child should have gone through it... But now, one day you will show them that you are not their puppet for their views."
Hearing that Timmy looked before he nodded understanding. Orbital then mentioned to Kite, "M-Master K-K-Kite... now that we known him b-better... he kind of reminds me of H-H-Hart."
Kite turned to Timmy at that before frowning. "We're leaving Orbital."
"Where are w-w-we going?" Oribital asked him.
"To talk with Hart." Kite answered as Orbital turned into a jetback and they flew off.
Ulrich362: Well, Yuma managed to take down Nistro and Kite nearly defeated Quinton but a trap ended the match in a DRAW.
bopdog111: Now only Yuma advances from those 4.
Ulrich362: True, which means he joins Timmy and... probably Vetrix so now all that's left is to see if Shark or Quattro advances right?
bopdog111: That's what it sounds like. But seems like some unfinished business will need to be handled with Quinton, Anna, and Timmy in the Space Field it seems like.
