Peter stood at the entrance to the Utonium Laboratory, mentally preparing himself. He would probably sound crazy if he just waltzed in there and said he had been given some random superpowers from a spider bite, wouldn't he? It sounded absurd, even when he knew it was true. He pressed the intercom button, listening to the tone as he awaited a response.
"Peter?" Ken's voice came through the receiver. "Sorry, uh, this really isn't the best time."
"Sorry for the interruption, but I think this is important," Peter insisted, wanting to be let in. "Something happened yesterday, during the demonstration."
He heard a few muffled voices on the other end of the line–probably Ken talking with his dad.
"Alright, I'll unlock the door for you now. This better be good."
A click signalled the end of the call and the glass doors slid open. Peter made his way into the main living area, where Ken and professor Utonium were huddled around one of the monitors. They seemed to be watching the Powerpuff Girls Z fight Fuzzy Lumpkins, where they dispatched him without major issue.
Another monitor clicked to life, showing Hyper Blossom's face.
"We're all finished up here, professor. We're heading back to the lab now," she said, before her gaze shifted slightly. "What's he doing there?"
The other two Powerpuffs appeared in the frame, peering over Blossom's shoulders. They had clearly been interested in her sudden query. Ken spoke up to answer them.
"Honestly, we're not sure yet. Peter just got here, but he says it's important."
The three heroes of New Tokyo seemed interested, but Bubbles was the one that spoke up.
"We'll be there soon, so tell us when we get there, okay?"
The video call then seemed to cut off, the screen switching to display vitals for three people. Considering what he'd just seen, Peter assumed it was for the Powerpuffs. The professor and his son turned to look at him.
"So, what brings you here? Ken said it was about something from the demonstration yesterday? How are you feeling, by the way? You were looking a little blue when you left."
"I'm, uh, feeling a lot better now, yeah. I was actually here because I was wondering if you've come across anyone experiencing… lingering… effects after one of your demonstrations."
The professor's eyes widened, seeming to gather what he was hinting at. He glanced towards Ken, who also looked surprised.
"By 'lingering effects', you wouldn't happen to mean superpowers, would you?"
"Something tells me this isn't the first time this has happened," Peter sarcastically responded. "But yeah, I think I've got superpowers now. I don't need glasses anymore, my hearing is better than it's ever been, and my physical abilities seem to be enhanced. It's… weird."
"Chemical Z still manages to find ways to amaze me, even after years of research. There's one thing I'm confused about, though." Utonium strode over to the apparatus that had been used in yesterday's demonstration. "There should have been no way for the Chemical Z to reach you from behind this protective sheet of glass. Maybe it's got permeative properties that even we didn't know about?"
"Actually, I was bitten by a spider yesterday. It was white, but when it bit me it suddenly lost its colour and died." Peter didn't know much about Chemical Z, but he did want to give his two cents. "Could the spider have been exposed to the chemical and then bitten me?"
"That seems like the most likely theory, for now at least. But before we figure that out, how about we run some tests on you? We might be able to find out more about your abilities or Chemical Z. You're a completely unique specimen, you know."
"Uh, Ken? Can you make sure your dad doesn't turn me into a guinea pig, because the way he's talking now doesn't exactly give me confidence in his adherence to human rights."
"Relax. The tests aren't going to be invasive… mostly." And with that morbid comment, Utonium led the way into their testing room.
As the first test began, requiring Peter to lay on a bed beneath a scanner, the door slid open and two of the three Powerpuff Girls Z made their way into the room.
"So what's going on here?" The self-proclaimed leader of the group, Hyper Blossom, asked. "Is this guy here for a doctor's appointment or something?"
"You'll see why he's here as soon as we finish the first test." Utonium remarked, almost as if he was their dad.
"And how long'll that take?" The hammer-wielding Powerpuff was clearly not happy with being left in the dark.
"This is the same sort of scan we used on you girls when you first got your powers. It'll only take a few minutes at most." Ken's reply put two of them at ease, though Powered Buttercup didn't seem to know what he was talking about.
"And it looks like we're done with this one." The professor glanced at the screen on the side of the machine. "Well this confirms it. You've definitely got Chemical Z in your system now. I'd try to avoid donating blood from now on, as interested as I would be in the results, it probably wouldn't be safe."
"Professor, this is incredible! The way the Chemical Z interacted with his bloodstream is like nothing we've ever seen before!"
The door slid open once more, revealing the baby blue outfit of Rolling Bubbles. She was holding Poochie in her arms, scratching his artificial stomach. It was certainly a sight to behold. The interruption was quickly dismissed by the professor, though.
"It looks like the spider that bit you transferred its DNA to you along with the Chemical Z. But I have to say, the chances of this not putting you in the hospital were about a million to one."
"So basically, I'm lucky to be alive?" Peter wasn't exactly sure what to do with that information, but he did suppose he was finding out what he came here for.
"Right. It looks like the Chemical Z has transformed your body, granting you the abilities of the spider that bit you."
"Hold on," Bubbles entered the conversation, having missed out on the earlier context. "Chemical Z can do that?"
"You said it granted me the abilities of the spider, but everything I've noticed so far hasn't seemed even remotely related to spiders at all. Are you telling me there's more?" Peter didn't care about catching Bubbles up to speed right now. She could figure it out on her own from their conversation.
"I think it'd be easier for you to test it yourself." Utonium pointed to the wall behind them. "I want you to climb that wall."
"Climb? But there's nothing to hold onto." Peter gave him a quizzical look.
"Just trust me, you shouldn't need any."
Peter walked up to the wall, reaching his hand forward. Its surface was cold and smooth–metallic. There was no way a normal person could climb this without anything to help him.
But then again, Peter wasn't exactly a normal person anymore. He placed both hands against the wall, took off his shoes, and willed his hands to grip onto the wall.
He went to pull one hand off the wall to adjust its position, but it was stuck fast. The other one? No dice. He let out a deep breath; this was probably what the professor was talking about.
He relaxed every muscle he knew of in his right hand, and instantly it lost its adhesion to the wall. Progress–that was good. He placed it higher up and lifted his left foot off the ground to match it.
Just as his hands had, his foot also stuck itself to the wall. And before Peter knew it, he had already reached the edge of the incredibly high ceilings.
"What's it like up there?" Ken called to him, seeming fairly unfazed by the strangeness of the situation.
"It's different, that's for sure. Maybe I can get a new angle on it if I…" Peter reached a hand out for the ceiling. Surely, he figured, with his new wall climbing ability, he could scamper across ceilings as well. If he could do whatever a spider can, that'd be par for the course.
The Powerpuffs had taken to a hover near the ceiling to get a better look at what he was doing. Sure, flying was probably neat, but they most likely hadn't seen someone scale a wall with nothing but their fingertips and toes.
Peter was now hanging completely upside-down on the ceiling. He had adjusted his crawl to become just a simple inverted standing position. It was strange. Peter never was great with heights, and he definitely should've been terrified hanging by nothing but the literal skin of his feet from a ceiling about twenty metres above the ground.
That was not the case right now though. It was almost like his entire physiology had been altered to climb walls and ceilings, and that his brain had already adjusted to being upside-down. He couldn't even feel any blood rushing to his head despite his precarious predicament.
"This is amazing! Though I have to ask, when was the last time you cleaned this ceiling?" He asked, crouching up to inspect it closer. "How does dust even manage to settle on a ceiling?"
"It was a while ago. You can come down now, by the way. We still have a few more tests to perform."
Peter's trust in his body extended even further than he thought. As soon as he thought he should head down to the ground, he had already dropped from the ceiling and spun into a landing position. A second and a half later he reached the ground, landing in a crouch.
"It's like I've been climbing walls my whole life. For some reason I can't explain, it's like I'm not even scared of falling!"
The professor looked back at his initial scan, checking various data sheets that had been generated.
"When you were bitten by the spider, it must've also altered your neural pathways. It's completely possible that it just blocked your fear of heights altogether."
The girls slowly floated down from the ceiling, touching down softly and with more grace than Peter had.
"Hold on," Bubbles requested, trying to make sense of the situation. "If Peter was given superpowers by Chemical Z, why wasn't he given a new outfit to go along with it?"
"That's a good question, Bubbles. You weren't here when Peter told us how he got his powers, so I'll explain my hypothesis fully." Ken took a moment to collect his thoughts before continuing. "When he got his powers, he wasn't hit by a ray of Chemical Z like you were. A spider that was somehow infused with Chemical Z bit him, passing on its abilities to him. If only we could study the spider…"
In the meantime, Utonium had begun to attach a few clamping devices to Peter's limbs and torso.
"These will send a short vibrational pulse through your skin. The refractions of the vibrations should give us a bit more data on your physiological changes."
"Alright, doc. I'm ready whenever you are."
The next few tests lasted quite a bit longer than the first, so it wasn't exactly surprising when the Powerpuffs left the room one by one. He could hear sports commentary and a crowd cheering from the next room, along with the occasional burst of chatter or light-hearted argument.
By the time their final tests for the day had ended, the chatter had completely died out.
"So you work with the Powerpuff Girls Z?" Peter asked, trying to probe them for some information. Even as he looked around the room now, he saw numerous framed pictures of the professor, Ken, and the Powerpuffs.
"Yeah, we've been helping them out since they got their powers," the professor explained, thumbing through a printout of some of the test results.
"We were actually the people who gave them their powers, even if it was by accident." Ken piped into the discussion. "Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru from your class also help out sometimes. To be honest, I think it's the only time they still volunteer here."
Peter kept looking around the room. Some photos of just Ken and his dad, one with them, the Mayor, and the girls from his class, but no Powerpuffs.
"And now that we've confirmed that you have superpowers too, you can help them out. All you need now is a name and a costume."
"What? Me?" Peter asked, nearly incredulously. "A superhero? I don't think that's a good idea. Besides, the Powerpuffs seem to have it covered. There's no reason for me to help them. Besides, I've got schoolwork I have to do, so I can't."
Ken and the professor looked at each other for a moment, nodded, and the professor's son left the room.
"You know, Peter, the Powerpuff Girls go to school, too. As long as you get all your schoolwork done, we should be able to get the school to overlook any absences you accrue from superheroing."
A few seconds later, the Powerpuff Girls Z were led back into the room by Ken and Poochie.
"The girls have agreed, professor." Ken was intentionally omitting information so Peter couldn't know what was going on.
"Good."
"Agreed to what?"
"Girls, if you're ready…" Ken ignored Peter's question.
All three Powerpuffs raised their right hands in unison. A bright light erupted from their rings and covered their whole bodies. After only a few moments had passed… the Powerpuffs were gone. In their place stood Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru; the three girls that were always cutting class.
Peter took a step back.
"Hold on, wait just a second." Now that he knew, it seemed obvious. Whenever the girls cut class, there was always news of the Powerpuff Girls Z that day. It also explained why they volunteered at the lab, even though it seems like they don't really do anything. And finally, it explained why there were no photos here with them together.
"It's amazing, isn't it? We're superheroes!" Momoko was the first of the girls to speak, followed quickly by Kaoru.
"Is that all? Can I go home now?" She clearly wasn't too jazzed about being brought here. "I thought there was an emergency when Poochie called me."
"I wasn't too excited about being a Powerpuff Girl at first, but the outfits were so cute!" Miyako clearly had her priorities on the matter confused. "But being a Powerpuff helped me meet an old friend again."
Peter knew what they were trying to do. They wanted him to become a superhero too, but that wasn't exactly on his to-do list for right now.
"I'm going to be honest here. I don't see why I should go around helping people like you guys. Like I said, you Powerpuffs already have it covered."
"He's not wrong, professor," Kaoru agreed, most likely trying to end the discussion as soon as possible. "We've barely had any issues keeping the city safe since we beat Him."
"That's not the point! Wouldn't it be cool to be a superhero? Helping people in need, beating up the bad guys, it's fun!" Momoko clearly had an infatuation with the idea of heroes and villains.
"Maybe fun for you, but I'd rather spend my time learning and experimenting." Peter turned to face the professor. "Speaking of, Ken mentioned you might let me intern here, or something like that."
"I don't see why not. And if you're spending time here, if the girls are ever in trouble we can send you out to help them. You don't have any problems with that, right? Helping out in an emergency?"
"I guess if they ever really need help then someone would have to. Sure, I'll agree to those terms."
Ken seemed satisfied with the conclusion, while Utonium just seemed happy he'd agreed. Kaoru took the chance to leave the room, probably heading home for the second time today.
"Does that mean Ken has a new friend? I haven't seen those other boys for a while, so this is great!" The blonde clearly didn't care too much about whether or not he'd become a superhero, but she did seem to care about Ken's wellbeing.
"I still don't understand why you don't want to be a superhero, but whatever." The redheaded superhero was the opposite. She seemed to only care about whether or not he was going to join them in saving the day.
"I'll start working on the costume! It can have a cape and everything! It'll be great!" Ken was already leaning into the other half of the agreement.
"Hold on, who said I needed a costume? And no offence, but I don't want anything I wear to be designed by a twelve year old."
"I'm eleven, actually."
"My point exactly. Look. If I need a costume I'll make it myself." Peter folded his arms and sat himself on the scanning bed. "And it's not going to have a cape."
"I can help!" Miyako suddenly burst into the discussion, raising her left hand. "I know everything there is to know about fashion."
"You can figure out costume design later. Peter still has more powers to test out." Utonium stepped in, diverting the conversation.
"What else is there, doc?"
"For the next test, we'll need something heavy. Follow me." The group followed the older scientist into another room.
"It's been ages since we last came here," Momoko commented upon entering the room, evident by the thin layer of dust present on the computers lining the walls. "Kaoru should've stayed, maybe she could beat her old high score now?"
In the room there was a large machine arm. Connecting it to the ceiling were numerous hydraulic pistons, though the arm didn't seem to serve any obvious mechanical purpose. If extended, the pistons would simply push the arm into the ground.
The ground beneath the machine arm seemed to be reinforced, though two dents about the size of feet were present on the steel surface. Was this machine… for testing the Powerpuff's strength?
"I'm sure you've figured out what this is for, already. We're here to test your strength, so just stand on the steel panel and grab onto the framing above you."
Peter followed Utonium's instructions, feeling the cool metal adhere to his hands similarly to the wall. Ken walked over to the operating panel for the machine, twisting a dial. He pushed a deep button and engines spun to life, buried somewhere in the walls of the room. Peter could feel the machine arm shuddering minutely as the pressurised oil prepared to push it down on him.
"We'll start you off fairly easily, at a strength any normal person would be able to lift." Ken explained how they were going to perform the test and Peter listened carefully. After all, he was the one in the danger zone right now. "If you're able to handle that weight, we'll increase it gradually until you tell us to stop."
Utonium seemed to be performing last-minute checks on the machinery to make sure nothing would misfire on him. The two remaining girls, Momoko and Miyako, sat themselves at a bench on the side of the room.
Actually, the room didn't seem to just be for this machine. As he looked around, Peter saw numerous different machines. An industrial treadmill, a high-grade impact force measurer. Essentially everything you would need to test every aspect of the Powerpuffs' abilities.
"Alright, I'm ready." He looked back up at the machine as Ken switched it on. Almost immediately, he felt almost double his body weight. If he hadn't gotten superpowers, there's a decent chance he wouldn't have been able to hold this up.
But today it was no issue. The added weight seemed to have no bearing on his legs, and his arms seemed to be holding out just peachy for the time being.
Ken started to turn the dial. As it turned, it clicked multiple times. From Peter's estimate, it seemed to be clicking about every twenty pounds it added. Actually, it was probably every ten kilograms, considering he's not in the States anymore.
The weight did gradually manage to build up, though. His bones started to creak and his muscles began to wane. His arms shook under the pressure the machine arm was placing upon his body. His legs didn't seem to be having as bad a time as his arms, but they were definitely also struggling.
"Stop!" Eventually the weight became too great for Peter to bear and he gave the signal to shut the machine down. Immediately, Ken switched the machine off and began to note the results.
"Well, your strength results aren't as high as the girls', though it is still an impressive amount. Looks like you levelled out around… 100 times your body weight."
"Just like a spider…" Utonium must have been watching a David Attenborough documentary recently to have a spider's strength-to-body-weight ratio floating around in his brain.
"So you're telling me I should be able to lift twelve thousand pounds?"
"That's what the machine says. Of course, there's always a chance of it being calibrated incorrectly, since it hasn't been used in so long."
"Kaoru got a score of over nine thousand kilos, and that's without boosting her strength by flying." Momoko giggled slightly with the delivery of that line, but Peter didn't seem to understand the joke.
"Alright, professor, are there any other superpowers I should know about?" Peter asked, looking down over himself. "Am I gonna start spinning webs while I sleep or something?"
"I'm not seeing anything about webbing, but could you turn around for a second?"
Peter obliged with Utonium's request, turning back to face the machine arm.
"Is there anything in particular you want me to-" Peter cut himself off when a familiar tingle grew in the base of his skull.
In no more than half a second, without his head even moving, his left arm stretched behind him and stopped an apple that was heading for his lower back.
He brought his hand back in front of him, seeing it was a red apple with a few dashes of green around its surface.
"What exactly was that?" Peter asked, turning to face the professor.
"It seems like it's some sort of extra sensory perception, or ESP. I'm thinking of calling it your Z-Sense." The professor's naming scheme was sound. "And it looks like you've got enhanced reflexes to go with it."
"Neat. Now I don't have to worry about stray baseballs hitting my precious head."
"I think that's all your new abilities." The professor stated. "Or at least it's all of them that our tests could detect."
"That's all?" Momoko seemed to want to watch more demonstrations.
"What do you mean, 'that's all?' There were four different abilities we just tested, and two of them were ones you girls don't have!" Ken seemed to get annoyed with her.
"You know, I still don't know your name." He was referring to Momoko, who looked at him in confusion. "I know Miyako because all the guys talk about her, and I figured out Kaoru from context, but I don't know yours."
"That's easy. I'm Momoko Akatsutsumi, and I'm Hyper Blossom, the leader of the Powerpuff Girls Z." Momoko put her hand on her hips during this introduction, seemingly proud of her position.
"Kaoru would argue against you being the leader, Momoko." Miyako put a hand on her shoulder, raining on her mental parade.
"Right…" Peter began, before realising he hadn't introduced himself fully. "And I'm Peter Parker, the new guy at school." He held out his arm for a handshake, and Miyako was the one to accept it.
"So, should we get to designing your costume?" The twin-tailed girl pushed.
"Maybe some other time. And I want to design it myself, though having someone to bounce ideas off might be helpful."
"Perfect! I'll start drawing as soon as I get home!" It seemed Miyako completely ignored what he had just said.
A beeping sound rang from Utonium's jacket pocket, eliciting the man to retrieve a small pager-like device from his pocket.
"It's the mayor." With that said, Utonium hurriedly made for the living room, switching on the large video phone. Ken, Peter, Momoko, and Miyako entered the room one at a time, reflexively tensing at the sight of the mayor's distraught expression.
"Professor!" The mayor called, his blonde assistant appearing with her face obscured behind him. "I just heard news of your old colleague, Otto Octavius. He was in an accident!"
"What? What happened?" The professor seemed worried. This Otto guy must've been a friend of his.
"He was experimenting with some of that old Chemical X using those mechanical arms he's so fond of."
"And what happened?" Ken joined the conversation. It had been a while since anyone had experimented with the unstable Chemical X, so any new discoveries interested him too.
"There was something wrong with his equipment. Something caused the Chemical X to erupt violently, and it managed to escape the test chamber and hit Octavius!"
"How is he? Is he alright?" Utonium seemed confused by the description, but focused more on the health of his colleague.
"He's alive, if that's what you're wondering. But the doctors weren't able to remove his arms. Apparently they're chemically fused to his spine! He hasn't woken up yet, either."
"That's terrible." Peter had to voice his take on the situation. It wasn't every day you heard of experimental accidents in science. These sorts of things usually had redundant safety measures.
"Yes, it- uh, who are you?" The mayor finally noticed Peter's presence in the room. "I don't believe we've met before…"
The professor came to Peter's aid. "This is Peter. He's my new intern, starting today. But that's not important right now. Where's Otto being treated?"
"Oh, right. Octavius is being treated in New Tokyo Hospital's emergency ward. If you visit, be prepared for what you'll see."
"Alright, we're on our way now. Thanks, Mr. Mayor." Utonium quickly cut the call, hurriedly fishing his keys from his pocket and making his way towards the door. "Are you guys coming?"
"If we can, I guess so." Peter didn't exactly know this Octavius guy, but if he was another scientist then it wouldn't hurt to find out who he was.
Outside the building sat a strange white van. It was definitely not stock, apparent by the numerous technological modifications to the exterior of the vehicle. Functionality had clearly been prioritised over aesthetics here.
"I call shotgun!" Ken yelled, jumping into the passenger seat of the van, leaving Peter and the two de-powered Powerpuffs to ride in the back.
The interior of the vehicle was even stranger. The left side of the van was a long sidewards-facing seat. This arrangement allowed for space for what looked like a medical stretcher bed on the right side, though it had reinforced leather straps for holding down whatever was laid on it. Peter did not want to know what that was used for.
He climbed in the van first, followed by Momoko, then Miyako. He glanced over the shoulder of Ken's seat, absentmindedly wondering what age you had to be to not need a booster seat, and he saw Utonium coax the engine into motion.
Less than five seconds later, the group was already heading towards the biggest hospital in the city. The professor was quiet for most of the trip, though the other occupants were not. Miyako seemed to be telling some story about a guy with anaemia or something, while Momoko unwrapped a lollipop and began to eat it.
Peter tried to phase out Miyako's story, which was all over the place and seemed to contradict itself at times, and focused on the road out the back window. Momoko offered him a small packet of skittles, which he respectfully declined.
Utonium's swift but safe driving ended with them arriving at the busy hospital. They were fairly lucky in managing to secure a parking space close to the entrance, so they managed to enter the building fairly soon. The receptionist smiled at them as they entered, asking why they were here.
"I need to see Otto Octavius. I was told he was here?"
"One moment, let me check the patient registry. Was that Otto Octavius? O, C, T, A?"
"Yes, that's correct."
"It says here he was recently moved into a private room. What's your relationship with the patient?"
"I'm a close friend."
"Right, and these are?" The receptionist looked towards Peter, Ken, and the girls.
"They're family." The professor lied as naturally as he breathed. No wonder the Powerpuffs' identities had remained secret for so long.
"Alright, I'll just need you to sign in on this form and you'll be free to visit him." The receptionist placed a clipboard with a table on it, obviously some kind of visitor registry. Utonium hurriedly wrote out his information and the current time.
"Perfect. It says here that Otto Octavius is in room 1225. Just take the elevator to your left."
"Thanks," Utonium managed, before heading in the direction the man had indicated. The small entourage of teenagers and Ken followed closely behind him.
"Hey Ken, do you know who this Otto is?" Miyako asked, leaning down towards his height as she spoke.
"Sure I do. I've only met him a few times, but he was a brilliant scientist. He was researching potential applications of Chemical X, but I haven't heard anything about him since you girls got your powers."
"Maybe he was jealous that you and the professor managed to stabilise it, making Chemical Z," Momoko offered as a potential explanation.
Peter nodded. "I'd be jealous if someone managed to solve something I'd been working on for a long time. Maybe he thought there was some way to use Chemical X without stabilising it?"
The elevator dinged, indicating its arrival. They all entered, and Utonium selected the 12th floor.
"Professor Pithium was able to make the Goodenough Girls X using Chemical X, so the idea does have some merit." Ken nodded along with that point, but avoided commenting on Octavius' potential jealousy.
A short wait filled with nil but the soothing sounds of elevator rock greeted the group on the trip towards the 12th floor. Once they arrived, they counted each of the room numbers marked by plastic plates up to 1225. It wasn't long before the group found themselves at Otto's room.
"Alright, you heard what the mayor said. Don't be too shocked by what you see on the other side of this door."
They all nodded, ready to see what had happened to the scientist. Utonium slowly slid the door open, revealing the predicament Otto Octavius currently found himself in.
Alright, time for the first Author's Note of the series. I don't exactly have much to say here, so I'll keep it brief.
I managed to come up with the basic outline for this story using ChatGPT. I fed it some information then discussed some ideas with it. I did write the whole story myself, though. I felt like I should just admit that before saying anything else.
This is actually the second version of this chapter I wrote. I got around 2500 words into the first version, but it felt way to clunky so I scrapped it and mostly started again with this version. I think this one flows a lot better than the old version.
Anyway, I got a couple reviews on the first chapter, so I feel like I should respond to them here.
KaiFudo: Thanks for the support! I agree that Spider-Man is a pretty versatile character. The crazy amount of Spider-Man crossovers attest to that idea. I'll try to keep this story going at least until this first story arc is complete. After that, if I feel up to it, I might make a sequel. But for that to happen, I need to finish this story!
The Dudes Tude: Thank you for the review! If memory serves, didn't you have a Spider-Man/Powerpuff Girls Z story of your own? I remember seeing your name showing up a lot in the past, but can't find anything I would have read on your profile page.
