Narberal Gamma, otherwise known as Nabe the Beautiful Princess by many adventurers. She and her companion — Momon the Dark Hero — were the sole adamantite team of E-Rantel city. In the time of troubles, these two stood against the Sorcerer King and his forces for the sake of the humanity. The two were called as the heroes of this age, who fought against the Demon Emperor and his demon maids.
All of those legendary feats were nothing, but a ruse created by the Supreme Overlord himself. To make the name of his on the New World.
At first, Narberal did not understand the plans of her master. Why turn into adventurers when you were a Supreme Being? What's the point of going low profile when there were nobody to stand against you? Such questions always chewed her mind, but she decided not to dwell upon it. She could not understand the schemes of a Supreme through her mere intelligence.
And with the conquest of E-Rantel, and the sworn loyalty of Nfirea, she started to comprehend the intricate machinations of her master. Everything started to make sense as the time progressed. She was foolish to question the actions of her master. He outsmarted her, Lord Demiurge, Lady Albedo and even Lord Pandora's Actor, probably.
Every move he made was a plan upon plans that soon opened itself as the flowers bloomed in the spring season.
Currently, she was requested to patrol the outskirts of E-Rantel even when the shadow demons were doing this work for her. She did not complain though, as there must be a good reason for such actions.
Her patrols were kinda boring on the other hand. No threats to defeat, all clean and clear. Yet, she did not mind this. She was near to the gates of E-Rantel.
"Hmm, I have arrived earlier than the sunset. I hope Lord Ainz did not mind my earlier arrival." As she contemplated on these words, her peripheral vision caught shining something in the shrubs.
"Huh? What's that?" she whispered to herself.
She watched the shrubs with curiosity and used the spell [See Through]. The shrubs became foggy as she could see right through them.
It was a book made up of leather and intricate designs. She did not find anything wrong with it, until it burst into a bright ball of light.
"!"
The light caught her by surprise as it engulfed her entire self instantly.
In a matter of seconds, Nabe the adamantite adventurer disappeared into the ball of light. Leaving nothing but the winds flowing throughout the road to the E-Rantel.
In a dark alleyway, a burst of light appeared out of nowhere. Dropping a raven haired woman like a parcel. The very same woman seemed surprised and agitated at the sudden transportation of hers.
"What the hell is this? Where am I?!" She said haphazardly. As her eyes scanned the alley with anger and anxiety.
She leaped through the building with a quick jump, and then flew into the sky with the [Fly] spell.
Her eyes watched the panorama of the beautiful sea in the horizon, but her head could not recall such a scene in her whole existence. Anxiety replaced her anger, as she used [Message] spell to contact her master. But the lack of response from the spell made her even more terrified.
"Please my lord, take the call! Please take it!" She prayed to every Supreme Being as her connection to Nazarick seemed to be inactive.
She tried to call everyone from Nazarick, even the lowly humans she had not thought to ever talk, were contacted in hope of using them to reach her home. She gritted her teeth as her every attempts and prayers failed to show results.
"This, This can't be happening! How come this...?!" She was frustrated by her attempts as she eventually stopped her spell. Wasting her mana in an unknown location would only increase her chances of getting caught by whoever had planned this.
She remembered tge teachings of her master who taught her stay calm in the time of troubles. To watch around herself and maintain her focus for every piece of information.
Taking multiple deep breaths, she calmed down.
"I must not panic. Lord Ainz will be disappointed at me for showing such a behavior. Calm down, calm down."
It took her few minutes to finally get her mind straight as she gazed down at the bustling city that she had never visited. An idea popped in her mind.
If her spells were not working, then asking for help or directions from these people would surely help her. Even if they were unaware of Sorcerer Kingdom, they might be aware of other countries like Dragon Kingdom or Slaine Theocracy. The former belonged to a powerful dragon lord and his children, while the latter was called as the first human nation of the New World.
She nodded at her conclusion and flew towards the centre of the city where many people could be seen. A perfect place to gather information of her whereabouts.
While flying towards the city, she noticed various things that seemed unnatural compared to the rest of the nation's she had visited.
"What a peculiar place. So many races are working together..."
While high in the sky, she saw many different humanoids living together in this city. It was surprising to see such a diverse populace at a single location. Even in the E-Rantel, there was hardly any interaction between humans and non-humans. It was a slow process, but if the words of her master were right, then they would eventually join their hands. The curtains of racial barriers would surely drop and they would live together as these people live. And she had full belief on her master that his plan would sure bear the fruit.
She landed at the empty street, from where others watched her descent.
"Hey, who is she?"
"Who knows? But she is really kinda hot."
"Is she a chosen of some beauty goddess?"
"Tsk, another competitor."
Their gossiping were not that hard to figure out. She ignored them as her eyes wandered through their faces. Until she decided to—
'BOOOOM!!!!'
— announce herself as the adamantite adventurer. But the sudden sound of blast caught her attention.
She quickly stared right at the lightly orange colored sky where a flying vessel with tentacles. As the tentacles touched the citizens, they vanished into somewhere.
There was panic in the eyes of the civilians. Had she been with her master, she would have ignored it. There should be no value in such things.
But her current situation was unlike anything she had been before.
At one hand, she could just leave these trash on their own affairs, but on the other hand, she could use this as an opportunity like how her master used it for making connections. His plan was even more complex than that, so there might be more into it. But, if she saved and put them under her debt, then it would help her in the long run.
These cretins were weaker than her, but still had uses when it came to gather information and using it.
"Let's save these useless tra– useful trash."
She jumped into action as the [Teleportation] spell sent her near the ship. She pointed her finger at one of the tentacle and casted the spell,
[Dragon Lightning].
A dragon-shaped lightning homed at the tentacle hungrily. Destroying one of the tentacle with ease. The burnt flesh fell on the ground, as the smell of crisped fish filled the air. She did not at that as few more spells were launched at the tentacles. The same damage happened again like she had imagined.
Before she could demand the ship to stop at its track, three portals conjured not far from her. From each portal, a red wyvern rider emerged with pure killing intent at the ship.
The wyverns breathed fire at the fleshy ship, buring it immediately.
"Wait! You shouldn't do that, you fools!" She rebuked at their actions.
The ship seemed to be alive and imbued with psychic energies. If she got the master of this vessel to talk, it would be a great help to find out her home. Unfortunately for her, the words fell on the deaf ears. She teleported right at the top of the ship and punched at the roof. She controlled the strength of her fist as not to destroy the whole vessel.
As she entered into the ship, the world around her warped. The temperature went down quickly, but she had been prepared. Her magic items were not as great as the Floor Guardians, but she had high resistances against the change in temperatures.
She quickly ran into sprint as the constantly blasted ship was having hard time to maintain its balance.
Soon, the temperature changed again as she found herself in a very hot place with imps flying above.
Wait, imps?
Nabe blinked at the sudden change of scenery. Her mind raced with various causes for such a rapid change in locations. The only conclusion she made so far that the ship had the power to teleport and the master of this ship was constantly changing its coordinates to run away from the wyvern riders.
The imps who flew around the ship, watched her with hungry eyes. Nabe grimaced at them with contempt and disgust.
Though she never hated the heteromorphs in general, she was no charity to welcome every single heteromorphic being just because they came under the same category.
"[Field of Thunder, [Protection Energy : Fire, [Demonbane, [Anti-Evil Protection]."
She buffed herself with as many spells as possible. She had a long way to figure out this whole stuff before she could find her way back to home.
While I was writing Ainz into the Baldur Gate 3, I was stuck in the story. I can't find the end of story as Ainz seemed too much resourceful for Netherbrain to have a balanced competition.
And so, I have decided to use Narberal Gamma as the main character here. Hope you all like it.
Remember, positive feedbacks and critics motivates me to write the story.
See ya~.
