"The story begins with Jacob delivering a monologue: 'Who was the person that said family only helps you out again?' He pauses before continuing, 'Tch… Such bullshit!'"

The story opens with Jacob arguing with his mom in the living room.

"I'm my own person; I can do what I want!" Jacob expresses

His mother, not willing to hear this nonsense retorts "You're still a kid. You turned 18 just a couple of months ago!"

Jacob, starting to get mad, begins to raise his voice "I'm considered an adult!"

Jacob pauses, his voice quivering with anger as he tries to lower his tone "I can do what I want, when I want! If I want to move out now, then I will"

His mother, usually the person that's unreasonable and acts off of emotions, tries to compose herself to make her point clear "I'm fine with you going to a new place, but living in Vale? A different part of Remnant is stupid!"

Jacob, not trying to back down, attempts to make a good point for wanting to move out "It's better than this place. We live in Mistral, a place where death and robbery are common!"

His mother is quick to respond however "You don't know what's in Vale! There could be murderers! You could get hurt! What if Grimm attacks you? Then what?"

Jacob tolerance is beginning to run low as his voice gets deeper and more angrier "Then I can handle it myself! And like I said, we live in Mistral! More murderers roam here than any other part of Remnant."

Jacob walks toward his bags, grabbing them and putting them on his back. He begins to stride towards the door, but his mom steps in front of him, yelling. He looks down at her while she points her finger near his face. "You don't even have a semblance! What will you do?" she says in a stern voice

Jacob, with an annoyed expression, listens to her yell. He attempts to move past her, but she blocks his way. He tries again, but she obstructs him once more. Growing more annoyed, he finally manages to move past her, heading for the door.

His Mother's hand slams on a nearby table as she yells at him "Don't walk out this door! LEAVE NOW AND YOU WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE!"

Jacob slowly turns the doorknob, his back turned to his mother, and a sad expression across his face. The door swings open, and Jacob takes his first steps out of his home.

Meanwhile, his mother remains seated, clenching her fist. As she watches Jacob leave, her anger is slowly replaced by a growing sense of sadness. The camera pans to the empty house as the cold wind blows the curtains back.

Jacob mutters, "She sure is annoying! She doesn't know what the hell she's talking about. I can make it on my own." He looks down for a brief moment, grappling with his emotions, before mustering the strength to walk down the stairs.

Upon reaching the gate to leave his small apartment, Jacob opens it. The clouds above are grey and depressing. Slowly, he looks up towards the sky, an expression of being nonchalant to hide his feelings plague his face.

A bird gracefully flies by. At that moment, the once grey sky transforms into hues of orange as the sun breaks through the clouds, revealing the sunset.

A couple of hours later, Jacob is seated near a window on a Bullhead. Jacob slouches over in his seat, his gaze fixed on the reflection staring back at him in the window. The depressed expression on his face deepens with each passing moment. As he continues to contemplate his reflection, his mind drifts to thoughts of his four brothers and his sister.

As Jacob's mind lingers on his mother's words, the weight of her question, "You don't even have a semblance. What will you do?" echoes in his thoughts. Gritting his teeth, he attempts to hold back his emotions. However, a tear escapes, slowly falling down his cheek.

In an attempt to stop passengers from noticing, Jacob reaches for his personal bag beneath his seat. Retrieving a blanket, he drapes it over his face. Shielding the world from his tears and his problems..

Jacob stirs from his slumber as the plane touches down in Vale. Rising from his seat, he gathers his belongings. Deep in thought, he reflects, "Everything is up to me now. No more protection. No more cooked meals. No more anything. I'm on my own now."

\Jacob steps out of the plane, his eyes wandering the unfamiliar surroundings of Vale. The cityscape unfolds before him, and he takes in the sights of the city and the vast expanse of the sky, realizing that this is a place he had only glimpsed through photos before.

After landing, Jacob starts adventuring through the bustling city that is Vale. The beautiful azure sky above radiates the dawn of a new day, he contemplates. "Okay, I made it to Vale... What to do next?"

The realization hits him that while he desired to move away from his mother, he hadn't considered the practicalities of establishing a new life. Jacob comes to a halt, caught in the dilemma of not knowing how to navigate the process of securing an apartment and other necessities.

Thinking on his feet, Jacob's eyes dart around the surroundings, searching for a solution. With a quick decision, he decides to utilize his scroll to search for information on how to secure an apartment.

Seated on a bench near a park, Jacob watches a series of videos and online guides. The hours pass as he watches multiple tutorials, gaining insights into the process of finding and obtaining an apartment in Vale.

Jacob, having absorbed the information from the online tutorials, reflects to himself, "I think I get how to do it. Now, to actually do it. I need to find an office to fill out an application… Where the hell are they located?" Determined, he walks for 30 minutes, navigating the city in search of an apartment complex.

As Jacob continues his search of the apartment complex, his attention is caught by a man with orange hair, a bowler hat, and green eyes. Unbeknownst to Jacob, this man is none other than the infamous criminal Roman Torchwick. Oblivious to Torchwick's notoriety, Jacob casually passes by him and spontaneously calls out, "Nice hair and hat. It looks pretty cool."

Roman, taken aback by the unexpected and genuine compliment, momentarily pauses. Unused to such interactions, he manages a surprised "Oh. umm. Thank you." Roman resumes his walk in the opposite direction, while Jacob continues on his path.

Jacob's thoughts linger on the encounter. "He looks cool. Wonder what he's doing," Jacob says to himself, curious about the mysterious man with the bowler hat and unique style.

Meanwhile, Roman Torchwick, with a mischievous smirk, reflects on the unexpected compliment. "A compliment right after I just did that. Now I ALMOST feel bad," he thinks to himself.

After an extensive search, Jacob finally locates the apartment office. He steps inside and takes a seat. As he prepares to fill out the application, his nonchalant demeanor quickly fades away as he begins to get nervous. Jacob quickly becomes tense as he begins to write, his pen strokes becoming shaky.

Across from him, the lady who handed him the application notices his anxious demeanor. "Are you okay?" the lady asks. Jacob looks up at her with a nervous smile, and responds, "Yeah, I'm fine." He continues to write as she maintains her gaze.

After a period of silence and the audible nervous pen strokes, she breaks the silence, "Is this your first time filling out an application? You seem awfully young." Jacob perks up, "Yeah, I'm only 18 years old. This is my first time doing something like this."

The lady observes him closely, her eyes not missing the uncertainty on his face, before raising a question, "Do you even have enough lien to pay 3 months worth of rent?"

Determined to prove himself, Jacob confidently states, "Of course I do." However, as he reaches into his right pocket to retrieve his wallet. His heart drops, and his eyes widen in realization. He repeats the motion, patting down his right pocket, checking his left pocket, and searching through his hoodie pockets. The lady in the office silently watches Jacob's growing distress.

In a mumble of distress, Jacob mutters to himself, "It's gone! Where is it?" The lady in the office observes him closely, her purple eyes piercing through the facade as she asks, "Is there a problem?"

Attempting to maintain his nonchalant demeanor, Jacob responds, "Uhm, no no. It seems I have misplaced my wallet. Please wait one moment while I search for it." His voice, however, betrays a hint of shakiness. Jacob takes off his backpack, placing it between his legs, and begins searching through it. Despite thorough inspection, his wallet isn't there. He extends his search to the luggage he's been carrying around, but the outcome is the same – the wallet is nowhere to be found.

Jacob thinks to himself, "It's not here. Did I leave it on the plane! Wait, no… I remember feeling it in my pockets leaving the bullhead… Where could I have placed it!" As he contemplates, his head down, he eventually admits to the lady, "Uh, uhm. It seems like I have lost my wallet."

The lady responds swiftly, "Then it seems like we have nothing to discuss." Jacob attempts to interject with a "But," only to be cut off by the lady's stern words, "Listen kid. I don't know what happened to your wallet. But I'd be a bad person to give you an apartment you know you can't maintain... From what you wrote on your application, you're unemployed, so it's going to be really hard to maintain this apartment... I advise you to look elsewhere... I'm sorry."

Jacob looks up at her with a mix of disappointment and sadness, responding quietly with an "Okay." Slowly, he gets up from the chair, grabs his bags, and walks out, leaving the office.

As Jacob steps outside, the shade from the trees provides a relief from the sun, but his eyes still carry a lingering sadness. He reflects on his immediate predicament, thinking, "Where am I supposed to sleep tonight?" His thoughts drift back to his mom's words, "You don't even have a semblance. What will you do?" He shakes his head, attempting to brush away the thoughts before affirming to himself, "She's wrong… I can manage on my own… The first part of the plan never works. That's why I made a backup. I can live in a motel…"

However, a realization strikes him. His lien was in his wallet, making it impossible to execute his backup plan of living in a motel. Panic sets in as he exclaims, "DAMNITTTTTT! OKAY OKAY! You may be homeless, but at least you can buy some food. You still have money on your app. I got this… I just need to find a place to sleep and get my head back in the game."

Trying to maintain optimism, Jacob walks away from the office.

As Jacob continues walking, doubts flood his mind, and he contemplates the possibility of backing out. Thoughts of inadequacy and failure consume him, "I-I can still back out, right? Maybe this is ridiculous. I know I've wanted to leave home for a while, but with no money… I'm nothing but a failure…" The internal struggle intensifies, but Jacob quickly dismisses the idea of turning back. "Nah, no. I can't go back now… After everything we've said… After the attitude I gave her… There's no way I can go back… She would still accept me but… But… I have too much pride to go back… I CAN'T!"

Frustrated and angry, Jacob punches a wall. The realization of his surroundings hits him, and he looks around, noticing he's alone. Calming himself, he rubs his throbbing fist, taking a moment to collect his thoughts. "It should be getting late soon… I need to find a place to sleep fast," he resolves, refocusing on the immediate challenge ahead.

As Jacob spends the entire day searching for a place to sleep, he carefully evaluates his options. Contemplating the discomfort of sleeping outside in public spaces, he thinks, "Okay, so outside feels too weird. It feels like I'm being watched… Stores won't let me camp outside…" He considers different possibilities before landing on the idea of sleeping in the woods. "I can sleep in the woods. No people, no distractions, no anything. That sounds like the plan, right?" he questions himself.

Nodding in agreement, Jacob makes a decision and walks into the forest.

As Jacob walks through the forest, he contemplates his sleeping arrangements. "I am definitely not sleeping on the floor. That's too disgusting. Uhmmmm." He looks up, considering the trees around him, and thinks, "I can sleep on those trees."

"And how do you suppose you get up there?" one part of him asks. "By climbing, of course," confidently replies another part. "You've never climbed a tree." "And, how hard could it be?"

Realizing the absurdity of arguing with himself in the middle of the forest, Jacob questions, "Wait, why am I arguing with myself. Shut up, me. I got this."

In a moment of inspiration, Jacob recalls watching an anime with his brother, where a character with blond spiky hair and blue eyes attempts to run up a tree. Determined, Jacob decides to give it a try, getting into a focused stance and controlling his breathing. With determination, he runs straight at the tree, attempting to run up it. However, his efforts prove futile, and he crashes into the tree, hitting his nose and falling to the ground. In pain, he lets out a frustrated scream, "AHHH! MOTHERFUUUU...MMMMMM!"

After the failed attempts and a sore nose, Jacob slowly rises, rubbing his now red nose with teary eyes. Undeterred, he makes another attempt to run up the tree but faces failure once more. Frustrated, he declares, "Anime is a lie...ugh...time to do this the normal way."

Getting up slowly again, Jacob dusts off his clothes from the dirt accumulated. He gazes up at the tree, assessing its size, and then looks down at his dirt-covered hands.

Determined to find a place to sleep, Jacob persists in his attempts to climb the tree. Despite losing his footing, balancing issues, and experiencing pain in his hand, he remains resilient. Each time he falls, he picks himself up and tries again, fueled by the urgency of needing a place to sleep.

In a significant effort, Jacob manages to climb halfway up the tree. However, his triumph is short-lived as he falls directly on his back, knocking the wind out of him. Gasping for air, he lies on the ground, looking up at the shattered moon in the sky. His brown eyes observe the shattered pieces as he catches his breath.

With a renewed determination, Jacob gets to his knees, one hand on the ground as he lifts himself up. He looks up at the tree, before managing to climb. He starts off slowly, steadily making his way up the tree. Despite the cramping in his hands, he persists, climbing higher and higher until he reaches the top.

Once at the summit, Jacob sits on a tree branch, the sense of achievement washing over him. His eyes light up, filled with the satisfaction of accomplishing what he set out to do.

Euphoria fills Jacob as he sits on the tree branch, letting out a big deep breath. In a moment of triumphant exhilaration, he inhales heavily and screams, "LET'S GO!" The echo of his achievement resonates across the forest.

However, the excitement gets the better of him. As he's still caught up in the moment, shouting "GO!", he slowly loses his balance. In shock, his eyes widen as he begins to fall off the branch. Mid-air, instinct kicks in, and he acts fast, using his reflexes to grab onto the branch, hanging on with one hand.

Despite the strain on his hand turning red, Jacob pushes through. He reaches out his other hand to grab the branch, shaking as he pulls himself up. Exhausted, relieved, and proud, Jacob manages to climb back onto the branch. In a low and fatigued voice, he expresses, "I finally did it. Man, that was tiring."

Yawning for a moment, he reflects on his accomplishment, "It's not the most comfortable, but it's all I got… Day 1 complete. How you like that, Mom!?".

As the moment of happiness and excitement fades, the silence of the forest surrounds Jacob. Looking up at the shattered pieces of the moon, he attempts to find a comfortable position on the branch to avoid falling. His mind begins to drift, and thoughts of his mother infiltrate his mind. An expression of sadness crosses his face as he imagines her sad expression when he left.

"Tch, whatever," he mutters to himself, attempting to shrug off his pent-up emotions. Determined to push those thoughts aside, Jacob settles in, drifting off into sleep.

As a new day begins, Jacob is abruptly woken up by the loud squawking of a Grimm bird. Startled by the noise, he panics and stumbles off the tree branch, falling to his back. Grimacing, Jacob grunts as he hits the ground "ughhhhhhhh fuckkk... that hurts. These Grimm birds are annoying."

Slowly getting up, he remarks, "They may be harmless but ugh... whatever." Jacob attempts to shake off the discomfort, wiping the dirt off his back.

Feeling the discomfort in his back, Jacob waits for his aura to work its healing magic. As he contemplates his hunger, he thinks to himself, "I'm hungry. I didn't eat yesterday. Let's see if I can buy some breakfast." Jacob exits the forest and stumbles upon a teashop, thinking to himself, "A tea shop. Better than coffee at least."

As Jacob walks toward the teashop, his scroll vibrates, indicating a text from his mom: "Are you doing okay?" He looks at it with a blank expression, then closes the scroll and puts it back into his pocket. He pauses again before he starts talking to himself, "Why are you ignoring her?" "...She kicked me out! Why should I reply?" "She didn't kick you out, you left. That was your choice…." "Yeah, but if she can't understand me then she gave me no choice…." "Is that really how you feel?"

Sitting there for a moment with a sad look on his face, the ambient sounds of cars fading into the background, Jacob contemplates his thoughts. Eventually, he looks down with a sad expression and says, "Shut up Soul…" before walking towards the teashop.

Two weeks later, Jacob's straight black hair is now messy, with slight circles under his eyes. The disheveled state of his appearance is evident as his hair covers a portion of his face. Despite wearing new clothes, they are dirty, indicating that he is running out of clean clothing. Jacob mutters to himself, "I am officially out of Lien. I'm going to die here. Aren't I?... Just how the hell did I use all my Lien in 2 weeks!"

He then shifts to internal thoughts, reflecting, "Well, the constant need for food, protecting yourself, cleaning yourself, the need for comfort, and pride have left you quite spent." Jacob pauses, realizing he's once again talking to himself, and exclaims out loud, "Why the hell am I still talking to myself. Shut up!"

As Jacob's eyes dart to the right upon hearing the sound of breaking glass, his eyes widen, and he exclaims, "What the hell was that?" Cautiously, he walks towards the source of the noise, curious about what might be happening. As he stumbles upon the scene, he realizes that a robbery is in progress. Jacob thinks to himself, "A robbery? Two weeks. It took two weeks for something bad to happen. Mistral could never. Anyways, future huntsman. Time to shine."

Taking a stance, Jacob steps in front of the robber, intercepting their path as they head towards his direction.

"Where do you think you're going?" Jacob says in an arrogant manner. The robber responds, "Who are you? Some kind of huntsman." Jacob, with determination, asserts, "It doesn't matter who or what I am. Return the money you stole." He takes a step forward, his eyes reflecting an intent to fight. The robber dismissively retorts, "You gotta be stupid if you think a little girl is stopping me."

Jacob's eyes shift from shocked to annoyed as he thinks, "I swear. Every time I get my hair done, everyone thinks I look like a girl. Just 'cause my hair is long doesn't mean I'm one." Growing frustrated, Jacob pulls out his weapon, unsheathing a katana from his side. Holding it with one hand, he gets into a stance, ready to confront the robber.

Jacob moves towards the robber who waits for the confrontation. As the robber takes a swing, Jacob skillfully cuts his arm upwards. The robber's aura shields him from any significant harm, but Jacob doesn't relent. He follows up with a spin kick, landing it squarely into the robber's chest. Saliva falls from their mouth as they are sent flying back, clutching their chest in pain.

Utilizing his speed and agility, Jacob runs circles around the robber, confusing and disorienting them. The robber's eyes struggle to track Jacob's movements, and before they can react, Jacob rushes towards them. With a swift knee to the stomach, he knocks the wind out of the robber. Following up, Jacob lifts his sword and slashes across the robber's chest, pushing them back.

Jacob, caught in the momentum of his attack, attempts a downward swing. The robber manages to dodge the attack, leaving Jacob vulnerable.

The robber retaliates with a series of well-executed strikes, landing a right hook followed by a left to Jacob's jaw. They then deliver a right high kick and a spinning left head kick, all connecting with precision. Jacob, momentarily stunned, tries to recover.

Seizing the opportunity, the robber emulates Jacob's earlier strategy, running around him to confuse him with speed. The robber confidently asserts, "You're not the only one who can do this." In response, Jacob, regaining his composure, quips, "Never said I was but thanks for copying. Imitation is the best form of flattery."

However, Jacob's confidence fades as he loses track of the robber's movements. In blinding speed, the robber appears in front of Jacob, delivering a devastating uppercut to his chin.

Launched into the air by the robber's devastating uppercut, Jacob finds himself at the mercy of his opponent. As he struggles in midair, the robber takes advantage and throws a bunch of combustion dust down at Jacob. Panic sets in as Jacob realizes he can't dodge in midair, and his eyes widen in anticipation.

Attempting to shield himself, Jacob braces for impact, thinking, "I CAN'T DODGE IN MIDAIR! DAMNIT!" The combustion dust ignites, causing an explosion in the air. A dust cloud envelops the scene, accompanied by a strong wind that shakes the trees. Through the smoke, Jacob's body is propelled, crashing into a wall with enough force to create several cracks. Gritting his teeth through the pain, he falls to his knees.

Despite the pain and the impact, Jacob manages to rise to his feet. Looking at the cracks in the wall caused by the force of his collision, he thinks to himself, "Man, that hurts. Luckily, he did it in the air. No buildings were damaged." Pausing, he adds, "Besides the wall my back hit."

As the robber descends from the sky with a confident grin, he declares, "Admit it, kid. There is no way you're beating me." Unfazed, Jacob responds with an arrogant smile, sticking his tongue out. Despite the scratches and messy appearance, he retorts, "Oh yeah, let's bet on it."

In a burst of blinding speed, Jacob rushes towards the robber, his sword connecting with the robber's chest. He follows up with an upward slash that launches the robber into the air. Seizing the opportunity, Jacob grabs the robber's leg while he's airborne, slamming him forcefully into the ground. The impact creates a resounding crack on the concrete.

Without wasting any time, Jacob tosses the robber back into the air. Jumping up alongside him, he lands multiple slashes with his katana, executing a swift and precise assault. In the final act, Jacob uses his empty hand to palm the top of the robber's head, slamming him into the concrete. The force drags the robber through the surface before Jacob tosses him onto the road.

The robber struggles to get up off the ground but manages to stand on his feet. Once up, he attempts to mimic Jacob's earlier strategy by running around him to confuse him. Jacob's initial arrogance turns into disappointment as he remarks, "Oh man, you are annoying. Thought of being more original?" Internally, Jacob realizes the need to stop being cocky and end the fight, acknowledging that his Aura is running low.

To gain the upper hand, Jacob grabs time dilation dust and uses it on himself. His body begins to glow yellow as his speed increases tenfold. Sheathing his sword briefly, Jacob unsheathes it again, revealing the sword to be red, indicating its infusion with dust.

Jacob and the robber rush toward each other. The robber, quick on his feet, throws combustion dust in line with Jacob's sword swing. As the sword connects with the dust, it ignites, creating a powerful explosion that blows both away in opposite directions.

The robber gets propelled into a wall, his aura shattering upon impact. He slides down and limps to the side, rendered unconscious. Meanwhile, Jacob is propelled through the air before tumbling on the road. Using his sword to stab the ground, he manages to stop himself. Taking a deep breath, Jacob says arrogantly, "Guess that shows who's the bigger man. We both hit a wall, but I'm the one left standing."

As Jacob looks on with a smirk, showing his sharp teeth, his expression quickly changes to worry. Red and blue lights begin to circle as sirens ring, signaling the arrival of the police. Multiple police officers step out of their cars, walking towards Jacob and the unconscious robber with their guns drawn. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Jacob slowly takes his hands off the sword, lifting them up and leaving the weapon embedded in the ground.

"Are you the one who stopped this criminal?" a powerful voice from a female officer rang out as she approached Jacob with her gun still pointed at him. Jacob, his voice shaky, responded, "Me? Yeah, I'm the one who did that."

The officer, her auburn eyes piercing through Jacob's soul, questioned, "And who are you?" Jacob quickly answered, "Jacob Macon."

With her gun still pointed towards him, the officer inquired, "Are you a huntsman?" Jacob, nervous and stumbling over his words, replied, "N-no." The police officer's intense gaze remained fixed on Jacob's brown eyes.

"Hmmm…" she paused, deep in thought. "We're taking you in for questioning," she declared, and Jacob, expressing his surprise, exclaimed, "HUH? W-WHAT?" But the officer made herself clear by moving the gun closer.

As hours pass, Jacob finds himself subjected to questioning and interrogation. The interrogator eventually states, "It seems like that information would suffice… That's all the questions we have. But before you go. We want you to meet someone." Jacob, keeping his hands over his pants, looks up nervously and hums in question, "Hm?"

Before he can gather his thoughts, he hears footsteps approaching the room, and the door opens. His anxiety reaches an all-time high as sweat falls down his face, and he gulps, uncertain about the person he's about to meet.

Lady Beat walks into the room, a commanding presence with extraordinary height, easily reaching six feet. She is a thin woman with fair skin and grey-blonde hair styled in a beehive. Her lavender eyes are accentuated by dark eyeliner, and she wears red lipstick, exuding an air of intelligence, allure, and a hint of danger.

Dressed in a dark blue jacket, a white blouse, a gold scarf, and a matching knee-length dress with black tights and high-heeled boots, with a silver pin adorned with her triskelion emblem pinned over her heart.

Jacob takes in all of her features, analyzing her even before she speaks. As she walks towards him, she looks down at him while he sits.

"I was quite impressed with your battle. You fought valiantly," Lady Beat said. Jacob, tense and nervous, responded with a hesitant "Mmhmm." Lady Beat, with commanding authority, asked, "Do you have any idea who I am?" Jacob shook his head, indicating "No." Though he may not have known her identity, her presence felt suffocating, discouraging him from speaking. "Interesting…" Lady Beat remarked with a long pause before continuing, "I would like to give you an opportunity that doesn't come every day."

Jacob's eyes moved up towards hers, seemingly interested. Lady Beat then revealed her proposition, "I would like for you to join my school. Beatrix Browning's Preparatory Academy for Girls. You will have to dress in uniform and be in school, but you can become an excellent huntress if we refine your skills. You will have a room, bathroom, and a cafeteria to eat. We will provide for all of your necessities."

Jacob felt a bit offended, as even Lady Beat mistook him for a girl. However, he contemplated her proposition, realizing that if he rejected it, he might not survive much longer. Wrestling with his pride, Jacob thought, "I know I'm not a girl, and lying is bad, but if I pass this up, I will literally die in a couple of days... Ugh, I have to throw my pride away. I need to make this hairstyle last."

Recalling a friend's suggestion about his ability to imitate a feminine voice, Jacob took a deep breath and let the weight of his choices settle on him for a long moment. Despite never attempting a feminine voice before, he summoned the courage to fake his voice and said, "I accept. I would be pleased to join your school."

Lady Beat looked down at Jacob, offering a smile that felt somewhat artificial, but he couldn't discern its authenticity. She then requested some personal information, saying, "That sounds wonderful. I would just need to know where you were born, date of birth, and your full name."

Jacob's eyes widened as he hadn't anticipated having to provide such information. He knew, however, that divulging some details might be necessary for his survival. Stalling for a moment, he responded, "Oh uhm…" buying himself time to consider his options. In the internal debate within his thoughts, he grappled with the decision of whether to make his name sound more feminine or be honest, recognizing the potential consequences of lying. "Should I make my name sound more girly?" "Nah I should be honest. She would probably find out if I lied." "But you need to lie to survive"

Jacob, making an effort to sound feminine, shared the information Lady Beat requested. He began, "My hometown is Mistral. Me and my family were there for my entire life. I then ran away and I'm currently homeless. When I was a kid, I went to Sanctum Academy. I was born August 31st, 2005. That would make me 18 years old..." He hesitated when it came to revealing his full name, unsure of what alias to use. His mind raced through various categories like clothes, cars, food, and flowers, eventually settling on "My name is Jasmine..." He paused again, uncertain of the choice, but continued, "Jasmine Macon."

Lady Beat's enigmatic smile left Jacob uncertain about her intentions, but he couldn't dwell on that as she declared, "Hm…" before stating, "That information will suffice. We will worry about paperwork later. Please follow me." Her commanding tone left Jacob with no choice but to rise and follow her, ensuring he didn't get left behind.
