Chapter 1609
Waited So Long
The two men moved along through the branch of the passageway they started down. The first man was more confident than the second man about what they might find. The passageway became a little wider. There were a series of doors on both sides of it.
The first man was a little triumphant they may have found a clue. It was what he hoped for.
"I told you we'd find something." The first man said.
The second man wanted to see what was behind the doors before there was any celebration. They needed a better light. Once they lost the light on the first man's phone, he would use the light on his phone to return back the way they came.
"Let's hope we find a flashlight." The second man said. "The light on your phone is about to quit, when it does, I'm out of here."
The second man already decided it was time to leave. It's what he planned to do. He didn't want to be stuck down there in the darkness. It was hard enough to move around with a light.
The first man wasn't dissuaded. He moved up to the first door and opened it. It appeared to be sleeping quarters.
"There are bunks in here." The first man said.
Two men entered the room and began to look around.
"It looks like whoever was in here left in a hurry." The first man said.
The second man began to look through lockers.
"It looks like they were smarter than we were." The second man said. "They're gone, and we're still here amongst the rubble."
The second man really wondered how long it would be until there was a further cave in and they were trapped.
They located articles of clothing. Most of it was dirty.
"I found something." The first man said.
The second man moved over to look. It appeared to be an arms locker. It was empty.
"I don't see much left." The second man said.
The first man held up a flashlight.
"It's just what we needed." The first man said. "Now you can unpucker."
He turned it on and put his phone away.
The second man refrained from making any further rude comments. He just wanted to wrap things up and leave.
There was nothing of significance in the room. They went back into the passageway and entered the next one across the hall. There we're a little surprised at what they found.
"There's a 'comfort bunk' over there." The second man said.
It was empty.
"It would be nice if someone was there." The first man said. "I'd like to knock one off around now. It would help relieve some of the tension."
The second man couldn't help but look down towards his waist. There would be no tension relief for him. The thought of Scavengers was a crude reminder of the future.
They exited the room and went back out into the passageway.
They went into the next room on the same side of the passageway. There was a faint electric hum.
"Check it out." The second man said. "There's a lot of computer gear in here."
The two men looked for the source of the electrical noise.
CamNet's Terminator returned back to the passageway the men went down. He closed up on their position when they made the discovery of the electrical sounds, as well as some computer gear. He needed to find out what it was.
The men left the doors open on the two rooms they already visited previously. He entered the one with some storage space. There was a single bunk with rope at all four corners.
The Terminator listened to hear what else the men would find in the room with the electrical gear.
The two men looked at the array of computers. There was a separate room at the back wall. It was where the electrical noise came from.
The boat moved away from the dock.
Savannah and Young Allison were outside the Master Suite on the rear upper deck.
Young Allison really wanted 'more'. She moved over next to Savannah and took her hand.
Both girls looked into each other's eyes. Their heads moved closer together.
The boat started to move. It caught them off guard. They both looked around.
The moment was lost.
Savannah wanted it too. Maybe it was just time to knock one off. It was what everyone wanted.
They watched the greenery of the cove slip past them as they moved out further onto the lake. The boat began to rock a little more.
Young Allison hadn't been on any type of boat the same size before. She only was on boats in small lakes. They were very small. Where they were now was a big boat, and a big lake.
"We won't get seasick will we?" Young Allison asked.
Savannah laughed.
"I'm sure there's going to be a lot more motion before it happens." Savannah said.
Young Allison hoped she meant motion on the bed. She looked back inside the Master Suite. She looked at the scenery again.
It was time.
Young Allison still held Savannah's hand. She turned and faced her. She really wanted to try it, at least one time.
They moved closer and their lips found each other and kissed. The kiss deepened and grew hungry.
Young Allison felt Savannah's hand reach up and touch her. It was like electricity shot through her body. She did the same to Savannah. She could feel Savannah respond. It was even more exciting.
They continued the hungry kisses and the soft groping as they moved back toward the sliding glass doors.
Young Allison was surprised as Savannah swooped her off her feat.
"You know I'm heavier than I look." Young Allison said.
Savannah smiled.
"I only have a few steps." Savannah said.
Savannah carried her through the doorway.
Young Allison pointed at the floor as they entered.
Savannah set her down.
They faced each other.
"It's just you and me now." Young Allison said.
Savannah glanced towards the front of the cabin.
Young Allison looked at her.
"Savannah, I've waited so long for this moment."
The girls looked each other over as their hearts pounded.
"As have I, Allison."
"I love you, Savannah, and you love me."
"I love you, Allison, and you love me."
They kissed softly and lovingly.
Young Allison removed Savannah's top and pants.
Savannah slipped Young Allison out of her clothing.
Each removed the other's underwear.
"I am ready, Savannah, make me a woman." Young Allison said.
They embraced and slowly headed for the bed….
The female Fanatic and Jill headed for the street corner. They needed to hurry before the delivery van pulled away. They made it across the street with some difficulty. None of the drivers wanted to stop, even when they were in the middle of the street.
Jill was irritated by the drivers of the vehicles.
"I used to think no one would stop when I tried to cross the street because I looked homeless." Jill said. "We don't look homeless now, and no one stops anyway."
The female Fanatic agreed with her. She didn't want to get taken out by the bumper of a car.
"Here comes a gap." The female Fanatic said. "We need to hurry."
They made it across the street. One car honked at them. Another driver cursed at them.
Jill wanted to pull her pistol. They were in the crosswalk. She refrained.
The female Fanatic led the way. They moved along the side of a shabby looking motel. There was no one in the front compartment of the delivery van. They moved closer to the corner of the building so they could get a better idea what was going on at the back of the delivery van.
"It's the same delivery van." The female Fanatic said quietly. "Let me see if the keys are in it. Stay here and watch the side and the rear. If you see anyone with a female who looks like a captive, go ahead and take a shot. You need to make sure you don't endanger yourself when you do."
Jill rested her hand on the revolver. She would use it first and drop it. There were no additional bullets for it.
The female Fanatic moved up to the delivery van and slid the door back. She held her Beretta in her hand as she did. She stepped up into it and looked at the ignition. There was a set of keys in it.
The door was closed into the cargo compartment of the delivery van. There was a small window in it. She carefully looked into the back. She didn't like what she saw. She could see at least three females in the rear compartment. None of them were moving. There was no sign of the men.
She moved back into the driver's seat. She was about to start it so she could drive away with the three females in the rear. She motioned for Jill to join her. Jill shook her head and pointed to the rear.
The female Fanatic could see the two men in the side view mirror. She recognized one of them as the man she spotted at their hotel earlier. They were headed back towards the delivery van. They carried another female. She figured they would put her in the rear. She decided once they entered the delivery van with the female, she would act.
Jill could see the two men come out from the rear of the building. They carried a female between them. They both looked around nervously as they moved. She didn't have a clear shot at either of them from where she was at.
The female Fanatic lost sight of the men in the side mirrors. She could hear the rear doors open. She carefully looked through the little window. She could see the two men move the other female into the rear. The rear door was still open.
"Let's get her pants off." The driver said. "I'm going first this time."
The other man looked a little disgusted. He would need to deal with it.
"She's the best of the four we picked up." The other man said.
The driver felt he was entitled to a little more than second place, every time.
"You can go first on the homeless sluts if you want." The driver said. "We missed out on a good opportunity at the other place when the 'fuzz' showed up. At first I thought they were after us. It would have been hard to explain things."
The other man was very displeased at the way the events played out. There seemed to be circumstances beyond their control. He brandished a pistol.
"It depends on how you explain them." The other man said. "They told us we were going to get four good ones there. Now we have three losers and one good one."
The female Fanatic was just about to open the sliding door to the rear compartment. She held her Beretta in her hand. She didn't like what the men said or what they were about to do. It was time to act.
She was a little surprised when she heard a loud report. A fraction of a second later she saw Jill at the rear of the delivery van. She aimed and fired a second time. Both men were down.
She quickly slid the door open into the rear compartment. She could see one of the men was still alive. He attempted to pull out a firearm. She took aim and fired her Beretta once. He stopped moving. She motioned for Jill to get into the rear of the delivery van.
"Close the back door and make sure it's secure." The female Fanatic said. "Make sure the men are dead and check the females. I'm going to get us out of here."
The female Fanatic turned the key in the ignition. The delivery van started up. She put it into gear and pulled out onto the side street. She heard another loud report from Jill's revolver, at least she hoped it was. She glanced back into the rear compartment as she drove. Her Beretta was in her right hand as she held the wheel with her left hand.
"One was still alive." Jill said. "Both of the men are dead. I'm checking the females now. They all still have their pants on."
The female Fanatic drove down the street. She checked her mirrors to see if anyone followed her. She didn't spot anyone. She could see Jill look over the females in the back. It really reminded her some things in the future weren't too different.
Lena and Tina were little concerned with the homeless person approaching their current location. They were also concerned about the two gang vehicles in the vicinity.
CamNet assured them the three targets were currently locked up by the drones at altitude. They could all receive a missile fired with a full burn or dropped as a bomb with a gravity shot once it was directly over a target. The 'Coriolis Effect' of the Earth, and the wind, needed to be factored in as well. "Metal hail' could be delivered the same way. There was always a time lag.
They both were back at the SUV when the homeless person came around the corner.
Lena stepped out and faced them. The homeless person stopped.
"Can I help you?" Tina asked.
The homeless man pulled out a knife. He looked at Lena and Tina. He decided he was going to get a little more than just a simple carjacking.
"I think you can." The homeless man said. "You can give me the keys to the SUV. I think you can take your clothes off too. I want to see who I'm going to do first. Don't worry, I'll do both of you so no one will feel left out."
Lena quickly moved around the other side of the SUV.
"Wrong…." Lena said.
She grabbed the man's wrist when he attempted to stab her. She closed her hand tight on it and crushed the bone along with the flesh on top of it. The man's hand might need to be amputated. It would never function again. It didn't really matter. She grabbed him by the neck as the knife clattered to the ground.
Lena moved over and slammed the man up against the wall.
Tina understood the man's behavior.
"Terminate him, he's a future Scavenger." Tina said.
Lena snapped his neck.
CamNet told Lena to dump him in the trash along with the two Grays they terminated earlier. She said there was a trash truck on its way to collect the contents of the dumpster. She gave them something else to look into. There was some police activity at another location. She reviewed the security footage of several establishments around the area and there were two females she wanted the Metal girls to look into. She said she would take care of the two gang vehicles herself.
Lena and Tina got back into the SUV once the homeless man was dealt with. They started it and left the area. They would investigate the lead CamNet provided them with.
I've Waited So Long
No one wants to feel
The jab of a prong
They would like to know first
What it was they did wrong
There are moments when we wonder
Why we all can't just get along
Those moments don't make us weaker
They actually make us strong
Sometimes ideas can hit us
They go from a bell to a gong
When we can see more clearly
We can figure out where we belong
The path forward is never straight
It's often angled or oblong
Sometimes to get back up
Takes the strength of King Kong
Much has happened as I wait
Now it's time to hear your song
Stop any more delays
I've waited so long
Nobody
