Diplomatic Message by way of Prussian Embassy, Kolbjørnsvik customs house.

June 30th, The year of our Lord - 1812

Her Royal Majesty, Queen Elsa I of Arendelle,

It is with great honor and glad tidings that the German Confederation lauds the Anniversary of Your Majesty's coronation. Few nations have claim to be ruled by such noble Monarchs as yourself. Our emissaries have regularly highlighted the progress in relations between our countries. Year by year the increased trade between the German Confederation states and Arendelle bears yet more fruit. We consider Arendelle to be the most significant trading partner in the Nordic regions. In particular, with the advent of the Continental System, North Sea trade carries such insurmountable weight that the German speaking states cannot help but feel beholden to the riches from the North.

The Coalition once again write to Her Royal Majesty on the matter of intervention on the current conflicts on our mainland Continent. It is apparent that the tyrant Napoleon will not stop even in the face of abject failure and his strength grows day by day. All of Europe appears ill-poised to contend with the whims of his tyrannical rule. We fear one day that our subjects will be crushed under French military prowess despite brokered alliances and bloodshed. Must more men be flung into the typhoon of smoke and gunshot? Must wives go husbandless, children go fatherless - just because a little corporal has designs on yet more acreage of foreign land France has no right to claim? Undoubtedly the eyes of the madman will yet turn toward the North.

We send word to formalise Arendelle's entry into the Coalition. There is hope yet for our people if Her Majesty commits her strength to the defense of Europe.

We do not demand it. But your decision will save yet more lives from St Peter's pearly gates.

Friedrich Wilhelm,
Foreign Minister, Prussian Foreign Service
