Episode 44 is here! Sorry for the long wait.
MaiMoo- The truth challenge was iconic, good taste on your part!
Anbalagelbagel- True Steve ate.
Puzzlefan123- I'm not a fan of that current auction format because after a certain point, people just throw away all their money to avoid the penalty.
spader13- I assumed the family visit wasn't popular, but as a Survivor stan, I felt the need to include it.
Jaron- you hcing the cousin as gay is so funny
TheBigOrangeLiam- when I saw your prediction I laughed cause I just knew you were wrong again. Steve is literally an icon.
Joel Connell- I decided not to go the obvious emotional route with Sammy and the family visit because I'll be fr- I didn't feel like it and I wrote enough scenes like that, so having her be more comedic was a nice change of pace. I love how everyone questions Staci
Guest- I should've had someone crawl on their knees like with Kat and her cousin. Is the aging well comment about the lack of pop culture references or something. Jessica was an icon, she was referenced in ep18 or whenever Mary first mentioned the dead sister lie.
Superwheeltires- Glad to have you all caught up! We'll see if those Lightning or Raj predictions come true. As for Loser's Lounge, it's whenever I feel like writing it. It will probably just pop up out of nowhere.
Andrew- def an utr social god type of player, too bad he got cut short. Idk why everyone keeps asking about that filler Sammy/Cody convo, they said they wouldn't really talk about it. But maybe there will be an answer due to popular demand!
Dunsparce- Raj's dad is an icon
Lacueva- We talked in pms
Recap
"Last time on Total Drama Ultimate… the final 12 cast members were stunned by the twist of their loved ones and some random hobo for Sammy visiting. Lightning won the reward, where his father was more concerned with his phone call than his son. Thanks to Cody's anger and verbal assault, they managed to reconcile when Thunder learned the error of his ways in a Disney type display as MK lovingly put it. Elsewhere, Raj's dad was trying to set him up with MK… awkward, while the Outcasts switched loyalty from the Forgiveness Alliance to Operation: TYTO. Chet and MK overheard the cross team alliance. After Lightning won immunity, Mary and Staci hatched a plan to tip Nichelle off that she was the target because they were worried about Cody's social capital being too big, which ended his game after Nichelle nullified nine votes against her. 11 are left, who will be voted out tonight?"
Intro
Day 85
We see everyone walking back into camp. "Damn!" Lightning shouts out.
"You were close guys, but you should've known I had tricks up my sleeve." Nichelle chuckles.
"Good move." Raj shows some sportsmanship as people begin to split up. The former Water Team members all gather.
"The fall off of this team needs to be studied." MK comments while shaking her head.
"I did not expect Cody to go at all tonight. Once Nichelle played that idol, I would've assumed that I was a goner for sure." Sammy says.
"Or me." MK grimaces. "But I'm glad it's not."
"Same, I think we can recover from this." Chet looks confident.
"I would replace all three of you with Cody." Lightning shades before walking off, causing the other three to look annoyed.
Confessional: Lightning
"Now I'm stuck with a bunch of annoying people! When the sun rises, I'm going to find that idol ASAP!"
Conf end
Confessional: MK
"Great, now we get to deal with Lightning without someone who makes him less annoying. He's a big threat in challenges too, I feel like Chet and I ditching him once one of the Fire Team members goes would be ideal. He has that cross team alliance after all, and we're going to exploit that fact soon enough."
Conf end
We see Nichelle, Josee, and Mary talking. "That went smoothly, but let's keep this between us so no one knows we worked together there." Mary says.
"Of course, why would we leak that? We clearly need all the allies we can get." Josee replies.
"Exactly." Nichelle agrees before Mary walks away. Josee looks at Nichelle.
"Nice idol and play everything, but I have a question about that." Josee states. Before she can say it, Shawn joins the duo. Josee lights up. "Oh, good thing you're here, this is a question for both of you."
"What is-"
"Let me ask it! Shawn, did you know about the idol? If so, for how long." Josee asks, causing Shawn to flinch with a little bit of surprise.
"I- uh…"
Confessional: Shawn
"If I had better reaction time to that question, I could've lied… but I took too long, so I have to be honest, or she'll call me out on it."
Conf end
"For a while." Shawn says, causing Josee to scoff.
"I'd say that if Alejandro and I found an idol, we would've told you two." Josee crosses her arms.
"Would you have though?" Shawn asks, causing Josee to think it over.
"Well I'd want to say something, I'm not sure about Alejandro." Josee ponders. "Whatever, I'm feeling a little annoyed about not knowing this crucial information until the vote. Would you have saved me if I was in danger?"
"Of course I would've, I literally did that for you back when you were struggling on the Ruby Team. I just wanted to have one thing I kept closer, and we're all here anyways. Don't sweat it." Nichelle assures.
"I guess that's true… let's just be more open with each other from now on though. We got lucky to all make it through tonight, let's keep this up." Josee raises her fist.
"We will, don't worry!" Shawn agrees.
Confessional: Josee
"I guess Nichelle has a point about saving me back in phase 2. It's Shawn I don't really trust more so, I can't recall him doing that much for me compared to her."
Conf end
Confessional: Nichelle
"I think I managed to weather the storm quite well! I'm on a bit of a high right now and was kind of bragging, but they could easily just vote me off if I lose. I hope there's a merge idol, or they suddenly decide they should target someone instead of me."
Conf end
We cut to an hour after the sun has risen. Chet is sitting around at camp. He sniffs his armpit and gags.
"I smell terrible..." Chet notes.
"True, your stench can be detected from all the way over here!" Staci shades as she walks up to Chet.
"Are you sure that isn't you that stinks? All those fat rolls probably trap sweat." Chet replies with a laugh.
"Not possible! My great great great great grandpa Dexter invented deodorant. I didn't bring any, but I know how to make it!"
"Woah, really? That's awesome!"
Staci blinks. "It... is?"
"Yeah! You have such an interesting family. Tell me more!"
Staci taps her chin in thought. "Ooh, here's one! My great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great uncle Chet was the first person to have that name! Before him, well, no one was named Chet!"
Chet gasps. "No way! Imagine his parents never gave him the name Chet, it may not exist right now! Then what would I be named? Kevin? Spencer? Danny?"
"You look like someone who'd be named Gordon, because it has the Spanish word 'gordo' in it!" Staci snickers
"What does gordo mean?" Chet asks.
"Fat, haha!"
"Oh."
"Don't be offended, you joked about my weight first!"
Chet smiles. "Fine, I guess we're even then."
There's a brief moment of silence between the duo.
"Okay, I'm actually starting to feel self conscious." Chet admits. "Let's talk about something else!"
"Okay!" Staci agrees. "So... politics, amiright?"
Confessional: Chet
"Staci is fun to talk to. How did she get voted out for being annoying in her season?"
Conf end
Confessional: Staci
"Chet reminds me the most of Izzy, so he's cool! Of all the people not in my core alliance, I want him to stay the longest. I'd be kind of annoyed if we betrayed him."
Conf end
We see Lightning looking around in a small rocky area. "Dang rocks, why can't this be easy?"
Confessional: Lightning
"My clue said to look in rocky areas. I know how to follow instructions, so I'm doing that!"
Conf end
Before Lightning can search much more, Josee walks up. "What are you doing?" she watches, causing Lightning to flinch.
"Looking for the idol." Lightning decides to be honest, causing Josee to look surprised.
"Didn't expect you to be so upfront about it." Josee says.
"What would the point of lying be? I know you're all jealous after I won both challenges last round, I need it!" he states.
"I'm not jealous!" Josee's eye twitches.
"And I'm not the most handsome man on the planet!" Lightning dismisses her.
"I'm glad you're self aware." Josee gives a slow clap.
"Hey! The point of me saying that was to tell a lie after you did-"
"I know, just stop." she replies before silence fills the air. As usual, that silence gets broken a moment later. "So… about what you said before the Millie vote about us strong people protecting each other. I guess that didn't apply when you wrote Nichelle's name down, huh?"
"Millie had to go and I needed you on my side, what more needs to be said?" Lightning brushes it off while still looking for the idol. "It's not like we are friends, you hate me!"
"True." Josee takes a moment to think. "But we should really be protecting each other… and for real this time. Do you want to be picked off the moment you lose a challenge? If not, then you'll need closer relationships now that Cody is gone."
Lightning groans. "Fine."
Confessional: Josee
"No idea if I'll keep my word there or not, but I have needed to branch out for a while. Maybe I should apologize to Tammy or something too. I did it with Raj and Tyler, I just need to find a way to remember Alejandro's tips on how to seem genuine."
Conf end
We see Chet and MK talking in the forest. "So, are we going to do something about that cross team alliance today?" Chet asks.
"Today is the perfect time." MK confirms. "Shawn has his og team and the cross team alliance while Lightning is a big physical threat. We need one of them gone as soon as possible."
"How do we go about it? Just cause chaos by blurting it out, or…?"
"There's no guarantee they'll believe us, we aren't exactly seen as the most trustworthy players around." MK replies, causing Chet to have a frustrated look.
"So, what do we do?"
"Turn them against each other, duh. We just need to tell Tammy that Shawn leaked the alliance to us. She will think of him as a massive traitor, then cue the crash out when she thinks it's just like what Julia and I did. Once she confirms the alliance, we can leak all the information we want." MK lays out a plan.
"You think she'll do that?" Chet seems skeptical.
"When we were on the cruise last night, Raj said something about how she crashed out on Courtney for trying to use her. I didn't get many details on that though, he said it in passing. But she's so insecure that she could manipulate herself, that should be our goal here." MK states.
"Oh, this should be easy then! I will be the one to tell her that Shawn betrayed the alliance, you two don't have a good history." Chet says.
"Yup. Make sure to sell the lie well."
Confessional: Chet
"A lot of people will feel betrayed today, this should be fun!"
Conf end
We see Raj sitting by the lake, who is skipping stones in thought. He is by himself, but we all know how that ends- a random person walks into the shot! That person in this case is Nichelle. "Hi, what are you doing… is what I'd ask if I wasn't paying attention! Skipping rocks, huh?" Nichelle asks as she watches. Raj gives his attention to her and the rocks are forgotten for about 2.5 seconds.
"Yeah, I'm bored." is his reply. He turns back to the lake, and he doesn't skip it very far, causing Nichelle to chuckle.
"Let me show you how it's done. I did learn how to skip rocks for one of my movies." Nichelle smirks as she picks up a rock. She attempts to skip it, but it sinks without a single skip. This gets Raj to burst out laughing.
"And suddenly, I feel a lot better at it!" Raj points to where the rock began sinking.
"Oops, I had a Flopchelle moment." Nichelle facepalms. "Let's have a competition with these rocks!"
"Skipping them or eating them? I'm so hungry that I've been craving rocks." Raj looks like he's about to drool at one, causing Nichelle to grimace.
"You were on the cruise not too long ago, you can't be that hungry!" she looks shook. "But skipping rocks, let's do it! I can do well this time."
"You're on!" Raj accepts the challenge. He grabs a rock and throws it, where it skips a good amount. "Ba-BAM!"
"Did you just say ba-bam?" Nichelle asks.
"Yeah, I like saying it!"
"Oh, it's certainly not cringy!" Nichelle lies. "Anyways, it's my turn!"
Nichelle attempts to skip a rock again, but it sinks right away just like the previous time. "Did you skip rocks for your movie or was that Jerry?" Raj asks.
"..."
Confessional: Nichelle
"I said I was going to serve him at a feast if he mentioned Jerry again, so be on the lookout for him at your local barbecue!" Nichelle says. "But for real, I threw that. I want to seem lowkey incompetent around camp to lower my threat level if you know what I mean! And him winning will make sure our interaction will be seen in a positive light!"
Little does she know, this sentence will inform the audience that she's lying, and she actually flopped this challenge, and this confessional is her trying to save face. You can't lie, Nichelle!
Conf end
The rocks become forgotten again though as Raj gives her an intrigued look.
"You're not like… mad at everyone for voting for you, right?" Raj asks. "Especially the Earth Team since we agreed to work together."
"I can't stay mad, or I'll just be voted out right away." Nichelle replies, though any annoyance is dulled due to an Earth Team member tipping her off to use her idol. "I would like to know the thought process of thinking three people are more powerful than five though. Why would you even side with the Water Team?"
"The Water Team didn't seem that friendly after the Millie vote. And I was with Cody before in the game, I just trusted him more. We haven't spoken in years, I don't talk to Shawn, and Josee and I have a bad history. I did try to vote her off." Raj explains.
"That's why we had to get rid of Cody. He had so many connections, so I'm sorry about that." Nichelle replies.
"You were smart for that, don't worry. As long as you don't cross a certain line, I won't hold a grudge if you play the game. Anyways, I doubt the Water Team will stick together at all now. I guess more people will feel alone soon." Raj notes.
"True, they barely seem to like each other." Nichelle agrees. "But are you feeling alone? What about your Earth Team buddies?"
"I hate to sound mean, but that isn't the word I would use to describe them." Raj says, causing Nichelle to raise an eyebrow.
Confessional: Raj
"Tammy has barely even talked to me once we merged, and Cody left right after we started to connect. I don't really trust Lightning as much on his own as when he's with Cody, I don't trust MK and Chet, I don't trust Josee, and I don't trust Staci or Mary for sure. My best bet moving forward is I guess… playing like Bowie. Not the cheating kind, I would never do that! But the strategic kind, drafting myself from person to person depending on what seems right at the time. This was always going to be my strategy once the Noah thing happened, but now I have to really use it. Hopefully I can pull something like that off without outing myself…"
Conf end
Confessional: Nichelle
"Huh… Raj doesn't trust the Earth Team that much? If I can further get some information on that, he could be the perfect person to go to if I ever have to throw Mary under the bus if I feel in danger. Hopefully it won't come to that so soon, and Mary will just work with me in the future, but it's good to build some bridges just in case. This is a perfect bridge to begin working on!" After a moment, Nichelle continues.
"I thought this merge would end up being a huge alliance war or something, but I feel like the lines are so blurry. We all know everyone is making side deals, but there is almost no trust with anyone. I'd say the Forgiveness Alliance is the tightest group, but even then, Josee seemed kind of annoyed at Shawn and I for a moment. There won't be a steamroll I feel, it will be a bloodbath of constant flipping and throwing people under the bus. That already happened with Lightning and Millie or Mary and Cody. I just need to make sure it's not me who gets run over."
Conf end
We see Tammy sitting by herself as MK and Chet watch her from a distance. "Ok, I'll spread the word to others about this. Once they think they're exposed by Shawn, they'll be honest about the alliance's existence anyways." MK says. "Make sure to do this correctly!"
"I will, no need to worry." Chet assures as MK runs off. MK is depressed about having to run. Enough about depression, as Chet walks up to Tammy. "Hi."
"Hi." Tammy greets with a weak wave, not exactly in a super cheerful mood to talk to this relatively random person.
"So… interesting cross team alliance you got going on, right?" Chet casually asks, causing Tammy to freeze up.
"I- uh… what are you talking about?" Tammy stutters.
"Shawn has been going around and telling everyone about your alliance with him and Lightning. He's trying to get one of you out." Chet says, causing Tammy to process what she just heard. After a few moments, Chet speaks. "Well, I-"
"Is he really doing that?" Tammy asks with annoyance and anger building up by the second.
"How else would I know? Anyways, I-"
"Ughhhhhhh." Tammy draws out the word. "How big of a target am I?"
"Not sure yet compared to Lightning and Shawn, but it's quickly becoming a big news story around camp. Just thought I'd let you know before the inevitable blow up." Chet says before walking off.
Confessional: Chet
"I think it worked out well!"
Conf end
Confessional: Tammy
"Is Shawn fucking stupid? Did he just come here to be Josee and Nichelle's lapdog and call it a day or something? No one was even noticing our alliance, and he threw it away for what? Why would he tell everyone before knowing if Lightning or I even had immunity too? It's a wonder he won Pahkitew Island! I took a risk and it backfired, I don't even know what I'm doing at this point." Tammy groans into her hands.
"Like everyone backstabs me or is probably scheming behind my back! MK, Julia, Courtney and Scott, Mary and Staci if they're really the masterminds behind the chart, and now Shawn! Everyone lies to me and it's so annoying because they do it for such stupid reasons, it's almost never smart! This is why I don't really trust Sammy or Raj either, they seem nice, but are probably wanting me gone like everyone else does! I told Shawn about the MK eating situation, and then he betrayed me the next day. That sucks, I should just not get personal with anyone again."
Conf end
We see MK wrapping up a conversation with Sammy. "Are you serious?" Sammy asks in shock.
"Yup. Turns out Lightning was a snake the whole time." MK taps her foot.
Confessional: Sammy
"That doesn't shock me, but if there was a cross team alliance, it stuns me that Tammy and Shawn would choose Lightning over me. I get along with both of them!"
Conf end
"He's not with your alliance as much as you think he is." MK states. "I think it was heavily implied you or Nichelle was going. I don't know if he was the one to tell Nichelle to play the idol or not, but he has more connections."
Josee looks angry.
Confessional: Josee
"If that's true, that's more fuel to be suspicious… because he didn't say anything to Nichelle and I."
Conf end
We see Lightning looking around, but he gets cut off by Tammy. "Lightning, we have an SOS!"
"Is the Super Bowl canceled?!" Lightning has a look of despair.
"No, Shawn is telling everyone about our cross team alliance!" Tammy raises her voice.
"Oh, so the Super Bowl is fine? That's cool- wait a minute, that traitor!" It takes Lightning a minute to understand what's happening. "Why would he do that?"
"I don't know, but Chet told me that it's becoming a big story and he wants one of us out. He is probably targeting you because you won both of the challenges right now, so we have to do something and form a counter strike. Since Chet told us, hopefully he and MK will be on our side." Tammy begins planning. "So, the first thing we should do is-"
"I have to cut you two off. You need to answer these questions privately, then head to the reward challenge." a cameraman says. The duo part ways.
Confessional: Lightning
"You would think the only other winner would have my back, but I guess not!"
Conf end
Cut to reward challenge
We see everyone walking into the challenge. The campers see life sized dolls of themselves on chairs where there are logs as well, though they're unaware as to what they're for. Once the players get settled in, Chris begins. "Day 85… we're getting close to three months out here, as well as the end of this game. Anyways, let's talk about your reward challenge!"
"What's with the creepy dolls?" Raj asks while looking at his life sized self.
"Speak for yourself, I look so hot." Nichelle comments on hers.
"You really don't." Chet shades.
"Shut it, I'm surprised your big ass isn't breaking the chair holding it up!" Nichelle points at the large Chet doll.
"Mary's nose isn't big enough!" Staci complains.
"Enough! Let me explain. You were all asked questions about the cast, which you had to give an answer to." Chris begins to explain.
"Duh." MK inputs.
"Hush. When I repeat one of those questions, you will guess on your whiteboard who you think the majority answered. If you get it right, you will get to chop at a rope of a player of your choice. Once all three of their ropes are chopped, this will happen." Chris says as he walks over to an extra area with a Don doll. He chops all three ropes, and a log swings down and destroys the doll, causing everyone to gasp.
"That is brutal!" Shawn is shocked.
"That Don doll had a family!" Raj adds.
"Had being the key word, haha! The last person standing wins the reward, which will be revealed at the end of this challenge. Anyways, pick up your whiteboards, and we'll get started!"
…
We see everyone holding their whiteboards. "Alright, first question! Who would you trust with your life?"
Raj: Tammy, Staci, Mary, Nichelle, MK
Shawn: Raj, Shawn, Josee, Sammy, Chet
Lightning: Lightning
"The answer was… Raj." Chris announces, causing him to look shocked.
"Wait, really?"
"Well there aren't that many trustworthy or kind people left, you were one of the only options." Josee explains.
"I had a cactus die because I forgot to water it though, that's probably a risky bet." Raj looks guilty about the cactus.
"How did you manage to do that?" Shawn asks in shock.
"And why didn't you all choose me?!" Lightning gasps. "I'm the only person capable of protecting all of you from danger."
"I'm shocked the rest of you didn't pick Shawn, he has a lot of survival tricks!" Sammy says.
"I chose him, but I wouldn't blame everyone for thinking he'd shove someone in the way of a zombie to save himself." Nichelle explains.
"Right. Now Tammy, Staci, Mary, Nichelle, and MK, go cut a rope." Chris says. Tammy grabs a machete and instantly cuts Shawn's rope, causing him to look shocked at the aggression of it.
Confessional: Shawn
"Either I did something to annoy her, or she is a top tier actress! No way will anyone suspect our alliance with that aggression!"
Conf end
Staci looks conflicted on what to do. "Uh… I don't know, MK!"
"Why me?"
"Why not?"
"Makes sense." MK concedes right away as she cuts Staci's rope back. Nichelle cuts Lightning's rope.
"How dare you!" Lightning is shocked.
"Cry about it." Nichelle responds.
"Bet!" Lightning says before forcing out tears, causing an awkward situation as Mary cuts a second rope for him while he's crying. When he looks up, he is confused. "Where did my second rope go?"
Remaining:
3: Raj, Mary, Chet, Nichelle, Josee, Sammy, Tammy
2: Staci, MK, Shawn
1: Lightning
"Next question… who is the worst strategist in this game?"
Sammy: Raj, Mary, Chet, Nichelle, Josee, Tammy, Staci, MK, Shawn, Lightning
Staci: Sammy
"The correct answer is Sammy, everyone got it right except for her!" Chris says.
"Why am I the worst?" Sammy looks surprised.
"You've lost a hundred friends…" Staci says.
"You formed a four person alliance on a team of nine on multiple occasions." Nichelle adds.
"You wanted me to vote with you at the Leshawna vote, then you tried to get me to vote off my #1 ally." Shawn adds.
"..."
Confessional: Sammy
"The way they clocked me-"
Conf end
"Everyone except Sammy, cut a rope!" Chris says.
Tammy runs to cut Shawn again, and Lightning joins her right away, causing Shawn to look nervous as a log destroys his doll.. He decides to cut Tammy's rope in response as his last act before he's officially out of the challenge.
"Shawn is the first one out!"
Mary cuts Lightning's rope, destroying Lightning's doll.
"And Lightning is the second one out!"
Josee cuts Tammy's rope, and Nichelle decides to follow in her footsteps.
"Tammy is out too, this is going by quickly!"
MK hits Nichelle's rope, while Staci goes for Josee. Chet targets Raj, so Raj targets Chet in return.
3: Mary, Sammy
2: Nichelle, Josee, Chet, Raj, MK, Staci
1:
0: Shawn, Lightning, Tammy
"Eight are left, next question. Who mistakenly thinks they're controlling the game?"
Lightning: Staci, Josee, Nichelle
Nichelle: Chet, Mary
Josee: MK
Chet: Sammy
Raj: Raj
Confessional: Raj
"I put down someone who I didn't want to know, so I threw my answer."
Conf end
"The correct answer was… Lightning." Chris says.
"Excuse me?!" Lightning gasps. "I wasn't the one bragging over an idol play!"
"Ugh…" Nichelle rolls her eyes as Chris tells the correct trio to go cut a rope. Nichelle cuts Mary, while Josee cuts Sammy. "To make it even."
"That's lame, haha!" Staci laughs as she cuts Nichelle's rope.
"Damn." Nichelle frowns as everyone except her has two, while she has one.
"Next question… who would you not want to invite to your house?" Chris asks.
…
Lightning: Sammy, MK, Chet, Staci, Raj, Mary, Nichelle, Josee
"The correct answer is… Lightning!"
"AGAIN?" Lightning shouts. "Y'all need to stop putting me down for all of the negative answers!"
"I didn't put you down, I just thought everyone else did." Raj apologizes.
Confessional: Lightning
"These people are so rude!"
Conf end
"Everyone can cut a rope, do that now." Chris urges. Sammy cuts Nichelle's rope.
"Nichelle is out of the challenge!"
As her last act, Nichelle cuts one of Sammy's ropes. Staci cuts Josee's, and MK joins in.
"Josee is out of the challenge!"
Josee's last act is cutting one of MK's ropes. Raj cuts MK's last rope.
"MK is out of the challenge!"
Mary cuts Sammy's last rope.
"Sammy is out of the challenge!"
Lastly, Chet cuts Raj's rope.
"Are you just going to target me?" Raj asks.
"That wasn't even being petty, you're just the best option." Chet apologizes.
2: Chet, Staci, Mary
1: Raj
0: Shawn, Lightning, Tammy, Nichelle, Josee, MK, Sammy
"Four remain, time for the next question. Who is the most helpful around camp?"
Shawn: Staci, Mary
Nichelle: Raj, Chet
"The answer is Shawn!"
"Aw, thanks!" Shawn looks grateful.
"Robbed." Nichelle comments.
Staci cuts Raj's last rope, while Mary cuts Staci's rope. This causes her to raise an eyebrow, though Mary mouths for Staci to trust her.
"Raj is out of the challenge! Three remain. Next question… who never shuts up?"
Staci: Mary, Chet
Lightning: Staci
"The correct answer is… Staci." Chris says, causing Lightning to take a sigh of relief. "Mary and Chet, cut away."
Mary cuts Staci's last rope, while Chet cuts one of Mary's.
"Staci is out of the challenge, while Mary only has one rope left. If Chet gets this next one right, he wins the reward." Chris says. "Who are you most threatened by?"
Lightning: Mary, Chet
"The correct answer is Lightning!" Chris says, causing Lightning to scoff at being the answer to yet another question. "This means Chet wins the reward!"
"Yes!" Chet cheers at the top of his lungs while Mary shakes his hand. "What did I win?"
"You are going to have a nice break at the spa! You will return back to camp later today, but choose someone to go with you!" Chris says.
"She could've targeted me over Staci at one point, so I'll take Mary as a thank you." Chet says. Mary nods and joins Chet's side.
"Now, pick one last person." Chris says.
"I-" Chet gets cut off by Mary whispering in his ear. "WHAT?"
"Just do it."
Chet sighs. "I pick Raj."
This gets a gasp out of everyone, including Raj. "I- are you serious? You're choosing me?" Raj asks.
"Yes, get over here before I change my mind!" Chet demands.
"Raj, Mary, Chet, the three of you will head to the spa. As for the rest of you, got nothing for ya. Head back to camp and prepare for tomorrow's immunity challenge." Chris says.
Confessional: Nichelle
"Not Mary being super obvious with letting Chet win…"
Conf end
Confessional: Mary
"It's time to get the Raj and Chet train rolling, they need to befriend each other. Raj forgives people super easily, so he should quickly be cool with Chet's vendetta after one apology. A place like the spa is the perfect place to do that!"
Conf end
Confessional: Raj
"Are pigs flying? What the heck is going on, how did I get picked? Are there knives and Chet wants to take out the last Yellow Team member himself?!"
Conf end
Confessional: Chet
"I can't believe I did that… at least MK was on the cruise last time, so she won't be dying for another reward enough to be salty that I didn't pick her or something."
Conf end
Cut to the spa
We see Mary, Raj, and Chet enter the spa area. "This place looks rad!" Raj looks hyped up.
"I could really use a massage." Mary states as she sees the workers. "The past three months have been brutal on the body."
"You can say that again." Chet agrees. "I hope there's some food here too, I could use it after missing out on the cruise last time."
"Amen." Mary says as a worker walks up to them.
"We have some showers, all of you should take one, then we can serve you a meal." the man says.
"Hell yeah!" Chet cheers as Mary and Raj also look happy.
Cut to merge camp
We see the losers- Shawn, Tammy, Lightning, MK, Nichelle, Josee, Sammy, and Staci- walk back into camp. Shawn and Tammy walk towards one side of the shelter. "Is something wrong? You seemed mad." Shawn states.
"Oh, don't worry." Tammy shrugs it off. "Targeting you in that challenge is better for our alliance, right?"
Shawn nods. "Oh, you're right there! It certainly beats Lightning taking us on the reward and making people notice we have a connection."
"It also beats you telling everyone about our alliance!" Tammy adds with enthusiasm, causing Shawn to raise an eyebrow.
"Huh?"
"Why would you tell everyone? I was loyal to that group, and you blew it." Tammy shakes her head.
"I have no idea what you're talking about-"
"So, should we discuss the elephant in the room?" MK asks loudly Since she has spread this news to everyone, all eyes are on Tammy, Lightning, and Shawn, causing Shawn to be even more confused.
"So, the three of you have an alliance?" Josee asks.
"Uh…" Shawn mutters, his shock not wearing off as all of this is hitting him at once.
"Why are you acting like that, you're the one who told everyone!" Lightning elbows Shawn.
"I didn't tell anyone, I wanted to keep this a secret so we could stealthily pick off the others… oops." Shawn cuts himself off as he realizes everyone else is right there.
"Haha, this is more of a mess than Nichelle's acting career after her first season!" Staci shades Nichelle for no reason.
"Pick off the others, huh?" Josee crosses her arms. "Giving me more reasons to not trust you."
"Look on the bright side! He must've known who the target was, and he saved Nichelle." Sammy shrugs. "That alliance has no drawbacks for your side."
"He didn't say anything, I just used intuition." Nichelle lies about the latter, but is being truthful about the former. Josee and Nichelle both share glares in Shawn's direction, causing him to shrink.
"Still don't know why I wasn't included." Sammy raises an eyebrow at Tammy and Shawn.
"The Water Team gets messier by the second." MK looks at Lightning.
"Alright, let me explain this!" Lightning gestures to Sammy and MK. Before they walk out, Tammy looks at Sammy.
"We can talk soon."
"After I'm done with Lightning." Sammy replies before the trio walk out. Staci crosses her arms at this.
"I guess we should talk too…" Shawn says nervously as the Forgiveness Alliance also make their exits. Tammy sits down with a frustrated sigh.
Confessional: Tammy
"I think Shawn has the most backlash for this, but he also seemed really confused. Thanks universe for making this all even more confusing!" Tammy takes a moment before shaking her head. "I feel like I'm struggling to contain my emotions. I remember after the Julia thing, I was able to act like I was still with her and MK. Now I snap way easier, I'm so exhausted."
Conf end
Confessional: Staci
"Haha, I love how hypocritical we all are! Everyone has deals, we are just jumping on the commonly known one and being angry at them for it to get the target off of us!" She takes a moment before speaking up again. "Very interesting how Tammy was more concerned about Sammy than me, her fellow Outcast."
Conf end
"The viking girl helped us win a challenge. She was angling for this alliance for a while." Lightning recalls the story of the relay challenge. "She wasn't close enough to a Fire Team member for the alliance to really work though, as Shawn exposing it shows."
"Yeah, Shawn is a threat…" MK taps her fingers.
Confessional: MK
"Shawn may be a threat, but Lightning and Tammy will probably stick closer together since they think they're the victims of a betrayal. That and Lightning's challenge performance doesn't bode well for his longevity, though the Green Team alliance is probably still a bigger threat."
Conf end
We see Sammy sitting next to Tammy later. "Why did you choose Lightning over me, especially when you had Shawn in the alliance?" Sammy is blunt with her questioning.
"It kind of just worked out that way to cost the Fire Team a challenge once, but I also just wanted to have as many different bonds as possible." Tammy states. "Relying on previous close allies like you could've been risky."
"I guess that makes sense, but were you planning on going to the final three with them?" Sammy raises an eyebrow.
"I doubt it was going to be the endgame for us, especially for Shawn." Tammy notes. "But it was a good way to get the target off of each other's backs."
"Is that why you wouldn't target Lightning over Millie?" Sammy asks.
"Uh... yes." Tammy nods, causing Sammy to sigh.
"I don't think that was the right move, especially now that your group got exposed." Sammy states. "If I was in it, I doubt Shawn would've said anything. And I'll be honest, you and Lightning not saying anything will probably put a target on your backs, Shawn might get credit for telling people."
Tammy sighs. "Sorry for not including you, it's not your fault."
"Duh." Sammy rolls her eyes.
Confessional: Sammy
"It feels like Tammy's game is unraveling… her logic makes no sense! Relying on close allies isn't that risky when you need those post merge, she can't just harp on being betrayed forever." Sammy scoffs. "I just need to latch onto anything I can at this point."
Conf end
Confessional: Tammy
"This is so bad…"
Conf end
"So, you knew that I was a target and chose not to say anything?" Nichelle glares at Shawn as the Forgiveness Alliance are gathered. Josee also doesn't look pleased.
"Tammy and Lightning talked before the vote with me, but they never said the target." Shawn replies. "I didn't know if it was you or not."
"You had to get an inclination that Nichelle was a target though!" Josee says. "There's no way you wouldn't have picked up a vibe."
"All we did was confirm that Tammy or I wasn't the target." Shawn responds, though Nichelle and Josee don't seem to be buying it.
"Why wouldn't you fight harder to see who the target is though? These votes are important, you shouldn't half ass it." Josee glares.
"I-"
"In fact, you never half assed it before. We pushed hard for that Jen vote together, and that was when there was zero risk of any of us going home!" Josee states. "You had to know that Nichelle was a target."
"I wouldn't just let Nichelle be eliminated like that! If I knew she was getting votes, I would've said something! I didn't think it was going to be her, so I didn't!" Shawn shouts, starting to get frustrated by the entire situation.
"What did you honestly think was happening?" Nichelle inquires.
"That the Earth Team would vote out MK. I only knew about our votes for Cody when you told me to switch right before the vote." Shawn replies.
"Did you think the Earth Team was also voting for Cody?"
"I had no idea what was happening by that point." Shawn says, causing Nichelle to slowly nod. "Do you have any more questions, or do you two need to talk it over without me here?"
"Let us talk." Josee waves him off, and Shawn makes his exit. "I think he thought I was the target and was fine letting me go until Mary told us what was really going on."
"That theory makes a lot of sense." Nichelle agrees. "Why would he randomly take you out?"
"I have no idea, but clearly his loyalties aren't with us." Josee says.
"They aren't with Tammy and Lightning either though if today's events are anything to go by." Nichelle notes.
"Fair. But I'm going to be honest, my loyalties aren't with him anymore. You were both on thin ice after the idol thing, but this just completely breaks the trust. I actually like him after we've spent a lot of time together, but he broke the alliance." Josee says, causing Nichelle to sigh.
"That's fair. Are we still good though?"
"You haven't done anything to the level of Shawn, so you're many levels above him in my eyes." Josee says.
"Thank you…" Nichelle gets out before she touches her hair. "Is it sprinkling?"
"I think so." Josee says. "It's not bad enough to go to the shelter right now, so I'll look for the idol for a little bit."
"Same." Nichelle nods before the duo part ways.
Confessional: Nichelle
"The Forgiveness Alliance hasn't really run into trouble within our own group since Dakota and Miles were being rats in phase 1. I don't know how we can recover from this, because I get why Josee doesn't trust Shawn anymore. I feel a little betrayed because I feel like he knows more than he's letting on. I told him about the girls alliance and both of my idols, yet he could've been content to let me go if Mary didn't say anything."
Conf end
Confessional: Josee
"Good thing I started to branch out, because it just took… everything that happened today to let me know where I stand. Our trio probably scares people anyways, I need to do whatever it takes to not be the first person picked off from it."
Conf end
Confessional: Shawn
Shawn groans. "What the hell is going on? Tammy and Lightning blame me for the alliance getting out, and now Nichelle and Josee don't trust me! I feel horrible because I didn't want to upset so many people, but everything is crumbling!"
Conf end
We see Lightning continuing to search for the idol.
Confessional: Lightning
"You know what I think of being the answer to so many negative questions? Screw them! Pops promises to be with me more, I have great people at home, and there's someone on that jury who does like me. As for everyone else here, I don't have many good things to say!" Lightning takes a deep breath.
"Tammy chose to work with someone she already had a negative history with and is shocked it backfired. I almost forgot Raj was someone I was on a team with until the merge. Shawn, you are the stupidest backstabber ever, at least when I did it to that nerd it didn't backfire. That beatboxer would've made for a better winner in his season! Sammy has done nothing except get carried through the game by convenient twists and complain about her problems. Newsflash: We do not care. Mary… who the fuck is that? At least if she were in the Pinnochio movie, she'd still pull it off better than Nichelle has pulled off any role in her sad, pathetic life. She's proud of having a successful idol play when most of us voted for her. How about you start to brag when you assist an idol play without actually being a target. I have no idea how all of us haven't killed ourselves after being around Staci for so long. Chet and MK, you're both hairy traitors who kept Millie for no reason just to vote her out anyways, I can't wait to see you both lose. And Josee, for trying to kill me, you are a-"
Lightning proceeds to curse for the next minute. After he's done, he takes a deep breath. "Alright, I feel better! My haterism is leaving the system!"
Conf end
We cut to another idol searcher, that being Nichelle. The rain mentioned earlier begins pouring down even harder all of a sudden, causing her to groan. "I can't find anything like this!" she says, deciding to look for the shelter. As it's pretty far, she pivots almost immediately and looks to find any source to keep her dry. She runs over to a rocky cave area and sits in it, now being covered and out of the rain. She isn't alone for long though, as another person joins her.
"Oh no, it's you!" Sammy groans after wiping her face. Nichelle sighs.
"What are you doing here?" she asks.
"I was looking for berries and it began pouring, I needed shelter fast!" Sammy explains.
"I feel ya there, same story." Nichelle nods. They both look outside the cave.
"It doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon… ugh, of all people to get stuck with!" Sammy pouts. "I'd take Staci and her stories over you!"
"That is a new low." Nichelle gasps at the insult. "Be grateful that I didn't idol you out, I wasn't even going to throw shade or anything. You've been starting almost all of our beef after phase 2, let's be for real."
Sammy rolls her eyes. "Whatever. Why didn't you idol me out though?"
"You weren't the threat that Cody was." Nichelle states.
"Was Cody that big of a threat though? He's a nice guy, and was probably the nicest person after Millie left." Sammy says.
"I'm glad you think that. Lightning probably felt the same way. MK probably felt the same way, maybe even Chet. That's why he had to go, even if he wouldn't have been my first choice."
"Was I your first choice?"
"Nah. It's weird that I haven't been targeting you, but I guess with Shawn here, it's more complicated. Even on Emerald it took forever to get him to consider it." Nichelle replies, causing Sammy to nod.
"I'm glad he's still here then." Sammy says.
"Lowkey, he's the reason we began fighting, maybe we could've been different without him." Nichelle laughs. Sammy thinks it over and begins laughing too.
"That's… actually true!"
The laughing doesn't last for long and the duo become silent soon after.
Cut to the spa
Our freshly showered spa guests are unaware of how chaotic things have gotten back at camp, though Chet is surely thrilled. Raj looks out the window as the trio are sitting at a table with food on it. "Rainy day, huh? Couldn't have gotten this reward at a better time. Uh, thanks again, Chet." Raj says.
"You're welcome for my awesomeness." Chet smirks.
"So, I only targeted you in the challenge because I wanted Chet to win so we could go on this reward." Mary tells Raj. "I know about the anti Yellow agenda stuff, and I want that beef to be squashed once and for all. How about we talk about the Lorenzo vote!"
"I might cry…" Chet looks distraught as Raj gives an awkward look.
"Um… I guess I can explain the dynamics! Noah, Owen, Bowie, Emma, Kitty, Carrie, and I all got along at the beginning. The Goths didn't socialize much and Lorenzo didn't make many friends-" Raj tries to explain before getting cut off.
"Why couldn't he make friends? HUH?"
"He was in the medical tent for a whole day early and missed out on the early bonding time, that could be a reason. But more importantly, he had no social skills and was a sexist unlikeable guy!" Raj casually ends him. "Anyways-"
"Excuse you?!" Chet questions angrily as Mary facepalms.
Confessional: Mary
"Raj… you suboptimal individual, that's not the right approach!"
Conf end
"I mean he said Priya didn't deserve her win as much as Wayne just because she was a small girl… Carrie, Kitty, and Emma weren't happy. Can you blame us for wanting someone like that gone?" Raj asks, only making Chet more annoyed.
"He said a small girl like her didn't deserve to win. What if he wanted a big girl like Millie to win? He was supporting big people and you all hated him for it!" Chet gasps, causing Raj and Mary to exchange a baffled look.
"That's a bigger stretch than what coach made us do after one of my teammates concussed a cheerleader!" Raj gasps.
"Is the woman okay-"
No one cares about Mary's concerns, as Chet sighs. "You didn't have to assume the worst in him."
"What else were we going to assume?" Raj asks. "I don't hate Lorenzo or anything, we just had to vote someone out and he was the best option because the girls all wanted him gone. Anyone leaving was going to upset someone, and we weren't trying to make it personal, I swear on my dad's cane!"
"Don't swear on that, watching him walk around without the cane made me depressed." Mary comments.
"Oh, true." Raj agrees."But maybe Lorenzo isn't perfect and there are some flaws he can work on!"
Chet seems to be considering this. "Emma did say the same thing…"
"Exactly, why didn't you believe her to begin with?"
"It could've been an evil Yellow Team scheme!" Chet says before gasping. "What if this is a group wide cover story, and you're also lying!"
"I'm not!" Raj shouts to cut off Chet's paranoia. "Why is this such a big deal to you anyways?"
"Sue me for trying to avenge the people I care about in my life, ugh." Chet groans.
"I guess I can understand that point. Avenging Wayne with getting out Millie was kind of satisfying." Raj concedes.
"Don't forget getting out Noah, the person who idoled out Bowie!" Mary adds. "Avenging him was fun since we were so close!"
"That too I guess." Raj agrees, though he seems a little sketched by the forced nature of Mary's input.
"Why don't we talk about the people we've lost." Mary suggests, wanting to keep the positive direction. "In the game I mean."
"Uh, ok!" Chet agrees, not needing the pointless clarification. "Other than Lorenzo- the best stepbrother on the planet- Ryan was an OG!"
"Who was that again?" Raj asks.
"The big steroid guy!" Chet elaborates.
"You mean Caleb, right?" Raj wonders.
"No, there is also a Ryan who was on the race. He was on the Lime and Amber Teams!" Mary clarifies.
"Oh, he was the one with the mean girlfriend, right?"
"That doesn't narrow it down between the two." Mary thinks about Priya and Stephanie. "But yes, they were in the race together."
"Oh right, I can picture his face!" Raj puts it together before looking at Chet. "Why are you thinking of him? I don't remember you two being on the same team."
"Ryan was one of the original anti yellow establishment members! We didn't talk much, but I wish he got to stick around longer to see how well MK and I did in person." Chet explains. "Stephanie got voted out after your team sabotaged them with Owen, so that's why I added him."
"Hey, that wasn't my idea!" Raj defends himself. "The team wanted to target them for being strong."
"You were the captain and Wayne's friend, why didn't you put a stop to it?" Mary asks while sipping some water. "Not that I'm angry or anything, just curious as to what happened there."
"They let me decide what to do and I just ran away because I was scared to make a decision. I didn't want to hurt Wayne's feelings. I did want to sabotage him, but not make him disappointed either." Raj shrugs. "I wasn't a very good captain anyways."
Chet looks at Mary and Raj. "I'm the only one here not to be a captain! I was robbed, Tyler sucked!" he complains.
Raj shakes his head. "Tyler was a great friend! I miss him, not many people know enough about sports to talk about it with like he did."
"Tyler was awesome, you're right!" Chet changes his tune.
"But yeah, I wasn't exactly a star player captain like Wayne is back home. I wanted to prove that I could be, but I didn't exactly win us many challenges." Raj reflects with disappointment at the weight carrying challenge forty episodes ago in particular.
"Don't worry, some people are just meant to be B players. That's not an insult by any means, those are essential cogs. I myself was one, as I wasn't too good either, we only had half the team by the end of Phase 1." Mary assures while mentioning her Pink Team status. "Speaking of, Izzy and Emma were good people to have around. Gwen and Sky too. I kind of miss that team, even if one of them is angry at me now."
"Emma was not good to have around!" Chet replies. "Her dancing was garbage and she was…"
Chet cuts himself off before mentioning the Yellow Team, as he is trying to break that mindset. This gives Mary the chance to correct him. "I meant the Ridonculous Race Emma. I felt bad for her after her elimination, Sammy targeting her over Scarlett felt needlessly cruel."
"And your opinion on Noah is the complete opposite!" Raj laughs.
"I still don't get why they cast two Emmas." Chet shakes his head.
"Was Emma from TDI23 supposed to not ever get a chance to play just because her name was the same as someone else from a racing show?" Mary asks.
"Yes." Chet says. "Repeating names is stupid!"
"I would agree, but she's cool!" Raj says.
"So… she and Wayne." Chet decides to bring that up. "I remember her yelling at Millie about him. Be honest Raj, no one is watching."
We get a shot of all the cameras.
"Do you think Emma and Wayne are a good fit?" Chet questions.
"Of course!" Raj replies right away. "I'm so happy that he managed to find someone! He had a few girlfriends in the past- who he didn't really seem to like romantically- but none since Total Drama. He was so supportive of Bowie and I, but I could also tell that we spent less time together and he was getting kind of lonely."
"Seems as if that problem is solved." Mary smiles before her gaze turns. "What about you? Are you dating anyone, Chet?"
"Nope, and neither is Lorenzo. Screw girls, video games are more important!" Chet responds.
"A math test seems better." Mary says, causing Chet and Raj to both vomit.
"Ew!" they say in unison, causing Mary to roll her eyes. Chet speaks up. "Are you in a relationship, Mary?"
"Married to my degree!" Mary snorts.
"You're married?!" Raj yells. "Why aren't you wearing your wedding ring?!"
"That was meant to say that I focus on studies over relationships." Mary explains, getting drawn out oh's from the boys.
"Fair. But I hope Wayne and Emma end up happy together and it's not just a quick TV relationship." Raj says.
"Speaking of Wayne, there's someone that rhymes with him that I miss!"
"Dwayne?" Mary inquires.
"Yes! He did not deserve to go home when he did, I wish he lost the tiebreaker to Courtney!" Chet hits his fist on the table, causing a worker to give him a glare. "Sorry!"
"You can thank us two for voting her out." Mary snorts.
"Thank you! She needs to make like Ally's grandpa and die of lung cancer!" Chet cheers, causing the other two to give him baffled looks.
"That's a bit extreme, huh?" Mary asks.
"I was joking, MK and Cody kept mentioning this girl's grandpa every day." Chet explains.
"Oh." Mary nods. "Weird fascination."
"But yeah, the people I mentioned probably sound like they were drawn out of a hat." Chet laughs. "I wonder what the eliminated players are doing right now."
"They're probably living like this everyday, it must be nice." Mary gestures around at the spa. "I assume Ellody is reading."
Chet snorts. "Nerd!"
"What?"
"What?"
Confessional: Chet
"Strangely enough, not the worst conversation!"
Conf end
Confessional: Raj
"He didn't seem too focused on hating me by the end, that's cool!"
Conf end
Cut to merge camp
We see Staci and Tammy talking as most players are gathered in the shelter. "Haha, you didn't spill any information about us, did you?" Staci asks.
"No."
…
We love awkward silence.
…
We cut to Nichelle and Sammy, still in their cave. "This is so boring." Sammy yawns, wanting the rain to pass. "I'm starting to feel like talking now, maybe the time will go faster."
"Well, I have something I want to talk about, so good timing. That whole cross team alliance thing is odd, I wonder how Chet and MK knew. Shawn said it wasn't him who exposed it." Nichelle ponders.
"Yeah, there could be more going on, but at least we're aware of it now. I think you already knew though." Sammy says.
"I didn't, but go off." Nichelle replies. "Didn't you see Josee and I get annoyed at him?"
"I did, but why wouldn't he tell you? He had you as a higher priority than me in this game, and we actually know each other." Sammy questions.
"Don't know, but we're all branching out evidently." Nichelle shakes her head as a strong gust of wind hits, blowing some water into the cave. "Ugh!"
"I hate the rain, it ruined so many cheerleading practice sessions." Sammy complains. "It was also terrible on the Water Team."
"The Earth Team was so lucky to have a neutral temperature." Nichelle agrees. "Agreed on the cheerleading thing, the rain totally ruined this outside theme in Cheerleaders Take Charge."
Sammy raises an eyebrow. "You were in that movie? I loved that one, but I don't remember you!"
"I was an extra at the time, just starting out." Nichelle recalls. "I'd like to do another cheerleading movie but with an actual prominent role soon, it was something I was very into when I was younger."
"Same! You could probably tell that though." Sammy laughs awkwardly.
"Oh right, you wore that outfit in your first season! What's with this new look? No offense, but it's not giving." Nichelle says while looking at the stained sweatpants.
"I just threw on the first things I saw in the closet and headed out, no need to be fancy. I couldn't do cheerleading after my season anyways, I had to leave the team after the Amy drama and my parents not wanting anything to do with me." Sammy explains.
"Makes sense, was there not a cheerleading team where Shawn and Jasmine live?"
"There is, but no point in trying to get back into it with a new team at that point." Sammy shrugs.
"Why does Amy even hate you to begin with? I can hold a grudge and all, but she seemed ridiculous." Nichelle asks.
"No good reason." Sammy scoffs. "I think I was like… slightly rude as a toddler and she has held a grudge about it ever since."
"Slightly rude as a toddler?"
"I broke her crayon once. She tried to get the teacher to throw me out the window." Sammy says, causing Nichelle's eyes to widen.
"That's extreme revenge." Nichelle notes, because duh.
"But in general, she's just evil and starts most of the drama." Sammy says.
Cut to the spa
"Did MK talk to you two earlier?" Chet asks as the spa trio are getting massages.
"No."
"No."
"Her slow ass…" Chet mutters under his breath, unhappy that the two people he's talking to haven't been informed. "Anyways, Tammy, Shawn, and Lightning have an alliance."
"Wait, really?" Mary asks.
"Yup. Those three aren't to be trusted." Chet says.
"So, that's why Tammy has been off a lot." Raj notes.
"Indeed, we might need to talk to her back at camp." Mary agrees. A little while later, the massages are down and the trio sit back at the table. Mary and Raj are full while Chet continues to eat.
"Do you think they're all targeting each other? How did this get exposed?" Raj wonders.
"Shawn."
"He has a lot of connections." Mary notes. "The alliance with Josee and Nichelle, and he was working with them?"
"We haven't been throwing his name out compared to the girls, but he's doing a lot." Raj states.
"Exactly. He or Lightning going would be ideal." Chet throws their names out.
"I'd prefer Shawn of the two." Raj says right away.
"I'll wait until we get back to see what the others say. I wonder if it's chaotic back at camp." Mary snorts. "Probably not that much, huh?"
"Maybe not." Chet shrugs before sighing. "This reward is nice, but I wish I won the family visit reward."
"You got to see your mom anyways." Mary said. "Thankfully, Chris was nice enough to let us talk to our loved ones even if we didn't go on the cruise. Talking to Jessica was great."
"My dad shipped me with MK."
"WHAT?!" Chet and Mary shout at the same time, being stunned by this.
Raj begins laughing. "It was so awkward, but I was glad to see him too. He even snuck in my lucky hockey puck for me!" he says before pulling it out.
"Hey, that's a personal item-" a cameraman goes to confiscate it, but he bumps into Chet and gets punched in the face for his troubles.
"I'm eating, shut up!" Chet says, ending the confiscation attempt.
"You just hate camera workers, don't you?" Mary questions.
"Let's ignore that. But your dad must be cool to do that." Chet states.
"He is! He knows how much I care about the puck." Raj looks at it.
"Call me the fun police-"
"We already do, you wanted us to do math equations in the shelter!" Chet cuts Mary off.
"Really? I- that doesn't matter." Mary shakes her head. "What's so special about it?"
"It was a part of my first hockey game, duh."
"Don't duh me, how was I supposed to know?" Mary chuckles.
"I wish I kept stuff from my first gymnastics glass, it'd be cool to have those memories." Chet says.
"I don't do any athletics, except when I was forced to do PE. I got a zero in that class." Mary states.
"How do you fail PE?!" Raj asks. "All you have to do is show up!"
"I was so bad that I got a zero anyways." Mary looks sad at the memory. Chet laughs.
"Sorry, that's kind of funny."
"A zero is never funny." Mary shakes her head. "I notice a lot of writing on that puck."
"Yeah, Wayne and I decorated it with some core memories!" Raj shows it to Mary and Chet. The puck has some dates and other things on it. "So yeah, dad is a G for bringing it!"
"What does 'a G' even mean?" Mary questions.
"Get in the loop." Chet says. "I'm glad my sentimental item was allowed to be worn the whole time instead of smuggled in."
"What is it?" Mary baits information.
"Oh, just a necklace. Mom gave it to me before we moved away from my dad." Chet says. "I know it's just a necklace, but sentimental value trumps all!"
"True." Mary nods. "I guess since you two told me about your items, I should mention mine! You know how you saw my sister?"
"How can I forget? What a hottie!" Chet fans himself, causing Raj and Mary to give him blank stares.
"And I believe I've mentioned this to the Earth Team before, but I also have a deceased sister." Mary states. Raj nods while Chet frowns.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Chet says.
"Thank you. But we had matching bracelets that she made for me, we had a very close bond." Mary looks at her wrists. "After she got murdered by her ex, I kept the other bracelet and I wear them everyday."
Chet begins crying. "That's so sad!"
"It is, but I try not to dwell on it too much, because thinking of what she could've done sucks to think about." Mary frowns.
Confessional: Mary
"Like I said, my sisters are alive and well, but the sentimental item sharing session made it easy to bring that back up to forge a closer bond. My bracelets were just from the dollar store, they were cheap and looked nice. I'm just pretending that they're something I care about. But I have an idea to solidify some loyalty with those two."
Conf end
"I'll try to win in her memory. But you know, I've really enjoyed this reward today and talking to you guys." Mary states.
"I have too!" Raj agrees.
"Sharing our stories about the game and our items makes me feel closer to you." Mary says. "I feel like I really trust you guys to go far, more so than Tammy for sure if that alliance is true."
"And it is." Chet's eyes are now dry due to crying logic in this universe.
"I feel like going far together would be a great step!" Mary states. "I know the two of you must have other friends, so I won't say this is a guaranteed top three by any means. However, I promise I will not vote either of you out until the final five at minimum, if you do the same for me and each other."
Chet looks at Raj with skepticism. "Why would I trust him?"
"Shouldn't I be the one asking-"
"Enough arguing. I just want to prove my loyalty." Mary says before taking her bracelets off. She hands one bracelet to each of them.
"Uh… why?" Chet asks. "This is yours."
"Indeed, but like I said, I'm proving my loyalty. If I ever go back on my word and get rid of one of you, you have my full permission to do whatever you want with that bracelet as revenge. This shows how serious I am about this, I want us all to go far!" Mary says. "I'd hope to see some of the same loyalty in return." Raj looks confused as Chet takes off his necklace and gives it to Mary.
"I'll do the same for you! I'm fine with you reaching the final five!"
Confessional: Chet
"Myself, MK, and Staci are people I for sure want near the end. Mary wouldn't be a bad option, especially since she trusts me with her dead sister's item. I don't think she would betray me after doing that. I don't know if I want Raj to fill that last slot though, so I gave the necklace to Mary. I can't trust a Yellow Team member with it!"
Conf end
"What about you, Raj?" Chet asks. Raj tightens his grip on his hockey puck.
"Uh, what about me?"
"Mary and I gave away items to solidify trust, will you do the same?" Chet wonders.
"Um… I'm not sure if I feel comfortable doing that." Raj says. "I know how not to lose it, if you know what I mean."
"That's perfectly acceptable." Mary states. "You can keep my bracelet though, because like I said, I want you to go far."
"He might be planning on betraying…" Chet distrustfully mutters, though Raj hears this.
"It's fine. I didn't ask for anything in return anyways." Mary says.
Confessional: Raj
"It felt like my hands were tied, and not in the fun kinky way!" Raj exclaims. "Why would Chet and Mary give up personal items for this? It seems… risky. Not giving my puck to them might make them aware that I don't trust them, so I have a plan. I'll give it up for now, but I have an idea to get it back right away with a cover story that won't make me seem suspicious if they notice."
Conf end
"You know, I want to show Chet that the Lorenzo boot really meant nothing. Here." Raj hands his hockey puck to Chet.
"Thank you. Even if you're a yellow team member, I won't do anything to harm your personal belongings unless you betray me first." Chet gives a thumbs up. A worker walks up to the trio.
"You need to head back to camp."
"Aw man, we will have to walk in the rain." Mary frowns while looking at the storm.
Cut to merge camp
We cut to Tammy, Lightning, and Shawn talking in the shelter. "I promise you, it was not my fault that everyone found out! I don't know what happened." Shawn says.
"Even if that's true, we're all targets now. And I don't think that's going to change until one of us leaves." Lightning replies, causing tension to grow within the trio.
"Exactly." Tammy looks at Shawn with distrust.
"Why do you even think it was me?"
"Chet told us." Tammy replies.
"I never talked to Chet about it, are you crazy?!" Shawn looks shocked.
"How else would he have found out?" Tammy asks.
"You know what? Maybe this was a plan from you two to pin the blame on me so you can target me! Lightning and Chet are both Water Team members, I think Lightning told everyone and Chet is just spreading my name-"
"Sha-no!" Lightning cuts him off, and a minor argument breaks out. MK smiles in the background.
Confessional: MK
"All this chaos, and no one is targeting me!"
Conf end
Confessional: Shawn
"Chet lying for no reason? He can go soon too for all I care. I'm getting kind of annoyed at this point, so I'm throwing out any theory I can to get Tammy to target him over me."
Conf end
Confessional: Tammy
"That makes me a little more worried about Chet- and MK by extension, no way this could've been a one man job- but Shawn could also be lying. Maybe he just didn't want to get caught betraying us, so he's pretending Chet is a liar." Tammy sighs. "I don't know what to believe anymore, but like Lightning said, one of us is probably going home. I have to make sure it isn't me."
Conf end
Confessional: Lightning
"No way he accused me!"
Conf end
We cut back to Sammy and Nichelle, still talking now that they've only been with each other for hours. "I'm surprised you even asked about Amy, didn't you complain about me bringing her up with the Duncan situation back on the Emerald Team?" Sammy questions. "You thought I was trying to guilt trip Shawn!"
"No no no, these are different situations!" Nichelle assures. "You mentioning Amy in conversation is completely fine, she's been a big part of your life after all. My problem was when it felt like you were implying to Shawn that he was morally obligated to vote with you and put himself into a worse game position just because of Duncan dating her. In hindsight though, I may have overreacted in a way. It was probably desperation from both of us. I called you out because I was worried after you exposed the Harold plan, and your wording about voting for Duncan may have come off that way because you were nervous about losing an alliance member."
"...that makes sense. I think I said he wasn't being a good friend if he didn't vote for Duncan, I probably shouldn't have worded it like that. Am I a toxic friend for that?!" she worries.
"Not really." Nichelle replies.
"But from my point of view, can you see why I had those thoughts? It's like I said, Duncan knew how Amy was, chose to date her, then tried to compare our situations. He apologized for that, but it struck a nerve after years of dealing with her." Sammy states. "I wasn't trying to guilt trip him so he'd worsen his game.
"Yeah, when you put it like that, you're right. That's my fault for assuming the worse in you there, I just assume everyone has the same mindset for the game as I do. Strategy, strategy, strategy. I've been trying so hard to redeem my past performances that I think everyone plays just as hard as I do, you were probably being serious." Nichelle says.
"Sometimes I let my emotions get the better of me, but I think I have a good mind for the game at points. I wish I was just able to use it better, because getting unanimously voted as the worst strategist sucks." Sammy sighs. "I've lost so many allies, and Tammy doesn't trust me now either."
"I shaded you for your strategy after that one question, but at least you're an active player within the rules of the game. Some people are just followers or cheaters." Nichelle states. "You're far from the worst."
Sammy smiles. "Thank you for that."
"You're welcome. I'm sorry for assuming the worst in you at the Leshawna round." Nichelle apologizes.
"I'm sorry too. I instigated a lot as well, and when you explained it from your point of view, I could kind of understand where you were coming from. It's a big game, and being paranoid of me was probably smart." Sammy apologizes back.
"Yeah, trusting people isn't always the best in a cruel game like this. But I understand that your life has a lot of turmoil, and I should try to think more from your perspective and not just my mindset." Nichelle replies.
…
We see Raj, Mary, and Chet running back into camp as the rain is dying down. Staci stands up and greets them with a wave. "Hey!" Staci greets. As Chet is greeting her back, Raj stealthily grabs the hockey puck from Chet's bag and pockets it, having a story to use for later. "I need to tell you guys everything, that cross team alliance had this huge blow up!"
"Tell us more." Mary inquires.
"Do that in a second, let me put my bag away." Chet states before running off. As he's gone, Staci speaks again.
"I'll just say this… Tammy also cleared things up with Sammy before me, that could be a bigger problem than my great great great aunt Felicia when her washing machine got ninety cats stuck in it." Staci says before Chet is back.
"Alright, give us the details!"
Confessional: Mary
"Staci told us the story, and I'm not too pleased. All this drama has happened and I don't really know too much about the chaos. When I don't have a lot of information, I'm not happy." Mary shakes her head, wanting more power in the game.
Conf end
Confessional: Staci
"Mary wants to find Tammy and hold an Outcasts meeting, I hope it goes well!"
Conf end
"Jinkies, you weren't going to target us with that alliance, were you? I only learned about it at the spa, how have things gotten so chaotic?" Mary asks as the Outcasts are gathered.
"No idea." Tammy throws her hands in the air.
"Is there a reason you didn't tell us about this? You could've told us for a group effort-"
"I'm going to cut you off right there." Tammy says with an annoyed glare. "We need to talk about the big thing with this group… the chart and Staci threatening us."
Mary looks taken aback. "I don't see how this relates to the cross team alliance, but-"
"Why do you think people would want to tell you every detail if you pull stunts like that?" Tammy questions, her patience with this day wearing thin, making her say what's on her mind.
"I had nothing to do with Staci talking to you two. And if we are allied, it doesn't matter, since you wouldn't have considered me to go over Scott to begin with. At worst it'd be a minor conversation." Mary retorts. "As for the chart, there is still no real evidence that it was me and not a Scott frame job."
Tammy taps her foot on the ground. "Part of it made sense-"
"Please explain how I would've known about the alliance. No one told me about it because everyone formed a group without Staci and I." Mary gives a bothered look before sighing as Tammy doesn't have a response to that. "Sorry for my snappiness, but it's frustrating that I'm accused of making that chart because of Scott. Just ask B or Dawn after Revenge of the Island how good Scott was at framing people, and you could see my annoyances at people still falling for it."
Tammy sighs. "Whatever. I'm sorry for snapping, I'm just stressed."
"I think we all are." Mary inputs. "I could tell that you're really stressed out from everything, I'm sorry that today is no different. And I'm sorry too for adding to it, I know the end of the Green Team must've not been great."
Raj and Staci watch on like the background characters they are.
Confessional: Mary
"That confirms that Tammy doesn't trust me too much, stupid Scott. But I was being genuine with her by the end there, she has been mentally through it this season, and I sympathize with her in that sense. That won't help her game out though, which is what she should be focusing on instead of her feelings."
Conf end
Confessional: Tammy
"Still don't trust Mary, and I don't know what to believe with the chart. I should've held my tongue, I need her on my side with this Shawn issue."
Conf end
"And that was the story of me flashing everyone…" Sammy wraps up a more detailed story of the episode seven truth challenge tale.
"Ugh, I'd be so embarrassed." Nichelle cringes at the story. "At least it wasn't a huge audience though, right?"
"Yeah, silver linings and all." Sammy chuckles. "Before that though, doing that play was really fun."
"I didn't put much thought into it before, but you were a theatre kid?" Nichelle questions.
"Kind of. I wasn't obsessed with it or anything, but I really wanted to keep doing it before the flashing debacle. It felt like I could step into another life for a bit when I was on stage." Sammy smiles at the memories.
"That's actually pretty cool. You may or may not know this, but I'm an actress." Nichelle jokingly flips her hair.
"Whaaat? No, I never knew that!" Sammy mock gasps.
"I know, shocker. But I like meeting people who are into acting, not many people this season really are." Nichelle says. "I don't think you should let the flashing incident stop you from trying to do it more. Like you said, acting is fun and lets you step into another mindset."
"Maybe you're right…" Sammy mutters before she turns to the cave. "Oh, the rain is clearing up!"
Both women stand up. "Well… I guess we should get back to camp and see if there are any updates. Uh, bye?"
"Bye." Sammy says. After an awkward pause, both make their exit.
Confessional: Nichelle
"That conversation was… weirdly not that bad."
Conf end
Confessional: Sammy
"I'm shocked we didn't kill each other, but only being able to talk to her for hours made me realize we had some things in common and could get along when we aren't opposing each other in the game. I guess she's not the worst, though we still aren't friends either."
Conf end
Day 86
Cut to immunity challenge
We see the campers walk in while shivering to a big block of ice. Chris is standing there with a warm jacket. "Where are our jackets?" MK complains.
"I'm going to die of hypothermia!" Lightning also complains.
"Good for ratings!" Chris laughs, earning glares from the cast. "But before I explain the challenge, Lightning, give me that immunity necklace back."
"I'll win you back, don't worry!" Lightning tells the necklace as he gives it to Chris.
"Immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you will ride little ice bumper boats on the block of ice. Your goal is to bump everyone else off. The last person remaining on the ice will win immunity and a spot in the final 10, which is a huge deal. Pick a boat, and we'll get started."
Confessional: Raj
"I am 100% winning this challenge! It's an ice challenge, how could I lose?"
Conf end
We see everyone in their boats. "3… 2… 1… go!" Chris announces. Raj accidentally hits reverse and flies off the block of ice right away. "And Raj is out!"
Confessional: Raj
"WHAT!"
Conf end
"My great great great great great great great-" before Staci can give us her lore, Lightning knocks her off the ice. "Easy money- AH!"
He should've paid more attention, as Shawn rams him off right afterwards.
"Hey! You can't do that to the Lightning!" Lightning complains.
"I just did-" is all Shawn gets out before Chet bumps him off.
"Staci, Lightning, and Shawn are now out! Just seven remain!" Chris announces.
"I'm not very good with this." Mary moves forward in a sloppy way. MK rams into her, ending Mary's time in this challenge.
Confessional: MK
"This game is my jam, I love bumper cars!"
Conf end
"MK, Tammy, Josee, Sammy, Chet, and Nichelle remain!" Chris says. Tammy and Josee are having a war near the edge of the ice on one side, while Chet and Nichelle are doing the same on another. MK and Sammy smile at each other. MK takes the former duo out, while Sammy takes out the latter.
"In one swoop, Tammy, Josee, Chet, and Nichelle are out! It's down to Sammy and MK!" Chris says as Josee gives a death glare to MK.
"I WAS ROBBED!" Josee shouts as she begins throwing the boats around like a madwoman. No one cares about this, so she just looks awkward. MK and Sammy give each other a competitive glance before battling it out.
"Huh, this challenge went by quickly. This is barely a part of the episode." Chris notes with a frown. He looks back at the action and notices someone has fallen off. "We have a winner!"
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
"Sammy has knocked MK off and has won immunity!" Chris announces.
"Yes!" Sammy cheers as MK looks disappointed. She runs up to Chris, who puts the necklace around her neck.
"Sammy, with this around your neck, you cannot go home. You have a 1 in 10 shot at winning this thing and the ten million bucks. As for the rest of you, I can't say the same. One of you is going home tonight, head back to camp, I'll see you later." Chris tells the players to leave.
Confessional: Sammy
"I won immunity! I don't think I need it, but I was always hoping I'd do this!"
Conf end
Confessional: Tammy
"One of the cross team alliance members are surely doomed, I'm hoping it's Shawn."
Conf end
Cut to merge camp
We see Shawn and Nichelle talking. "I'm so nervous about tonight." Shawn confesses. "I definitely feel like Tammy and Lightning are targeting me."
"They are, 100%." Nichelle agrees.
Shawn groans. "I wish you were around more to help defend me yesterday, where were you and Sammy?"
"We took shelter in a cave when it was pouring, we were far away from camp." Nichelle explains.
"Oh no!" Shawn laughs. "That must've been hell on Earth for both of you, huh?"
"Actually… no." Nichelle says, causing Shawn to gasp.
"Again? You guys had another positive interaction? Pinch me!" Shawn says. As Nichelle goes to pinch him, Shawn blocks it. "I didn't mean it seriously! What did you two talk about?"
"Cheerleading and acting, we both like those things. And we both apologized for how we acted, especially in that Leshawna round. I explained why I felt the way I did at the time." Nichelle elaborates. "We aren't best friends or anything, but it's the most civil we've been and that makes me feel more calm."
Shawn smiles. "That's good… civility would be nice. I told you both this before, but those constant arguments stressed me out a lot back on Emerald."
"I'm sorry for how petty I acted then, and she is too." Nichelle puts a hand on his shoulder.
"You're not the only one who needs to apologize. I'll be honest- I knew 90% that either you or Josee was getting voted. The only reason that I didn't say anything was because I thought it would be Josee since Tammy and Lightning don't like her. I wanted her gone to lower our threat level and because I was getting a little paranoid." Shawn says, causing Nichelle to digest the information.
"About what?" is what she gets out, though she is holding back other thoughts on the potential Josee betrayal.
"Noah was saying stuff about how our alliance couldn't stick around forever back on the Fire Team. I got kind of nervous after that, and how it was clear it would take a miracle for all of us to reach the end." Shawn admits. "I realize that it was pretty stupid to risk it being you going home after all we've been through. Are you mad about the cross team alliance?"
"I can't be mad at you for making other deals, that's the game. Letting me go is a bit iffy, but you're apologizing and I get why it was a struggle. I don't want us to break apart over this." Nichelle says. The duo share a hug before Josee walks in.
"Are you targeting Lightning or Tammy?" Josee makes it short and sweet.
"Lightning. He won both challenges last time, that is an A tier threat." Shawn replies.
"Got it. We should try to get the others on board I assume?" Josee asks. Shawn gives a thumbs up, and the trio part ways.
Confessional: Nichelle
"Not too happy to hear that he was potentially after Josee to the point he risked my game if Mary didn't say anything, but he apologized and I won't throw away one of my closest friends over it."
Conf end
Confessional: Shawn
"I'm glad that's cleared up and she isn't mad at me… I just need to make sure I survive this vote."
Conf end
Confessional: Josee
Josee rolls her eyes. "Do I really want to fight to keep Shawn? Lightning going wouldn't be the worst option despite our conversation yesterday, don't get me wrong, but I'm unsure of what to do. He could've wanted me out."
Conf end
We see the Outcasts gathered. "I thought it over again, and you're right Mary. I don't know why I ever considered that Scott was right about that chart, he's a known liar!" Tammy lies about her feelings.
"Well… thank you." Mary smiles.
Confessional: Mary
"Good thing she thought it over, I feel a bit more comfortable."
Conf end
"The target has to be Shawn."
"Fine with me, better him than Lightning or you." Raj agrees.
"Splendid. Let's go." Mary nods.
…
We the foursome split up, Chet bumps into Staci. "Hi Gordon!" Staci greets, causing Chet to roll his eyes.
"How funny." Chet deadpans. "Anyways, how are you?"
"Good! We're just debating on which cross team alliance member has to go." Staci explains.
"I'm not fully sure who we're targeting right now." Chet says. "I'll talk to MK about it later. But this chaos is so fun!"
"Haha, true! It's like how many of my ancestors died in the chaos of war, fun memories." Staci laughs.
"That doesn't sound very fun." Chet frowns. "But MK was a genius for this."
"No genius wears a beanie as stupid look as that!" Staci laughs.
"Say you, Minnie Mouse." Chet shades Staci's bow. "Anyways, Shawn didn't actually leak it, we just overheard it and lied to cause drama. So if you hear 'Chet lied that Shawn did it', there's your reasoning."
"Haha, good work!" Staci is impressed as she and Chet share a high five.
"I'll go talk to the Water Team, see you later!" Chet waves.
…
Speaking of, Chet, Lightning, MK, and Sammy are all gathered around. "I want Shawn gone- sha dang, that rhymed!" Lightning seems proud of himself.
"Are you okay with that Sammy?" MK asks.
"He didn't include me in that alliance or his Emerald majority one. I'm fine picking him off." Sammy gives a thumbs up.
"Good, then it's settled." MK says as Lightning and Sammy walk off. As she and Chet are alone, she turns to him. "Which side are we taking?"
The camera cuts off before the discussion continues.
Confessional: Sammy
"What I said about Shawn was true, but do I really want him gone over Lightning? Not at all. Lightning was against Millie, and with Cody gone, I have no reason to want him around anymore. It's time to take him out."
Conf end
We see Raj picking berries alone. He isn't alone for long though, as Josee walks in with an unimpressed look. "Picking berries? There is a big vote going on, maybe focus on that." Josee gives her two cents.
"I heard a lot of strategy, I have time to set up for tomorrow." Raj shrugs. "What do you want? Telling me to vote for Lightning or Tammy I assume?"
"I'll be honest with you, I don't know." Josee admits. "I know we don't have the best history. I roasted you, you voted for me… but I'm trying to branch out of the Green Team stuff. I think Shawn was trying to let me get booted last round, it's hard to trust him after that. But I don't trust Lightning a huge amount either, and Tammy obviously had issues with me. Just tell me where you think the majority of the votes are going, and I'll listen."
Raj has a surprised look. "Uh, sure!"
Confessional: Josee
"Ugh, seeming meek here is probably my smarter play. I'll roar again soon though."
Conf end
Confessional: Raj
"Josee wants to branch out? That's interesting, she might be willing to vote for Shawn if he's the one people want to target!"
Conf end
We see Nichelle, Shawn, and Sammy talking. "Lightning is the target." Shawn says. "I said this to Nichelle too, but I'm sorry for excluding you. Tammy and Lightning were the ones who approached me basically, and it's not like I was going to tell Lightning to leave to include someone else."
"It's fine I guess." Sammy shrugs. "So, is Lightning toast?"
"Hopefully we can get Mary and Staci on our side." Nichelle taps her foot with worry. "I know we've been on opposite sides a lot, and you voted for me two days ago… but I'm willing to vote with you if you're willing to do it with me."
Sammy has a determined look before the two shake hands, causing Shawn to smile.
…
We see Tammy talking with Raj. "I'm so paranoid right now, I don't want to be on the wrong side of this vote." Tammy tells Raj. "Do you think that the numbers are there to take out Shawn? Or are people going to be threatened by Lightning winning a few challenges?"
"I'm not sure I would want to risk keeping Shawn in this round. Maybe you should play the idol on Lightning!" Raj suggests.
"Are you sure? I don't want to waste it." Tammy frowns.
"We already know about your idol, and Lightning is in danger. I'm not sure Mary will be loyal after what you said." Raj worries.
"You're right…" Tammy sighs, looking at her idol. "I can be risky and hold onto it though if we can lock in the votes on Shawn, not playing it would be nice."
…
We see Lightning storming around angrily. "Stupid idol, why can't I find you?" Lightning asks himself. Moments later, he sees Mary and Staci walking. "Hey, I-"
"You want us to vote for Shawn, right?" Mary cuts him off.
"I- how did you know?!"
"You're super predictable, haha! We would've voted you in that category if it was an option!" Staci shades. As the three separate, Mary and Staci run into another duo shortly after, that being Shawn and Nichelle.
"Mary, we need to talk!" Nichelle says. "There has been so much chaos, we need to vote for Lightning!"
"He won the reward and immunity challenges last round, I'm worried he could be too strong for us to beat later." Shawn says.
"And your alliance got exposed." Mary states.
"That too, but Chet probably has something to do with it. Tammy said he told her that I was the reason it got leaked, I didn't even say anything." Shawn complains.
"Chet?" Mary looks confused while Staci stays neutral.
"It'd be a smart move to send him out. Very smart. Please consider it." Nichelle gives a stern nod to Mary before she and Shawn make their exits. Staci and Mary turn to each other.
"I heard MK was telling everyone from Chet though. Huh." Mary seems a bit confused. "Or they could've both been involved, or maybe Shawn is making stuff up to make it seem like the Water Team is even closer, or-"
"Mary, focus on the vote tonight, haha." Staci laughs.
"That's essential information though!" Mary worries. "I hate that we don't have the full story, and picking a side without all the info seems shortsighted."
"Like you without your glasses!" Staci says. "Anyways, are you worried about upsetting someone because of a miscommunication?"
"Preciscely. I might just throw my vote away." Mary says, causing Staci to raise an eyebrow.
Confessional: Staci
"Haha, what a weirdo! She gets so stressed about not having all the power, like it's one round, calm down silly!" Staci laughs. "It makes the dead sister thing seem a lot weirder though, I'll admit. I've been ignoring it for now, but maybe I should think about it more."
Conf end
Cut to campfire ceremony
We see the final eleven all gathered. "Let's welcome the members of our jury! Millie and Cody, who was voted out at the last campfire." Chris says as the duo walks in. Cody waves to the remaining cast while Millie looks bitter. "Alright, let's see… we are about to see the 90th boot of the season, which is big. Making the top ten is no small task, and you are all on the verge of making it there. It will be the size of the starting teams! But other than Sammy, that spot isn't guaranteed for any of you. Get voting and we'll see who falls short of the landmark!"
We get a quick cut of everyone else voting before cutting back to the campfire.
"If anybody has a-"
"Chris!" Tammy stands up. While the Fire and Water Team members seem surprised, Raj, Mary, and Staci don't react to this. "I'm playing this for Lightning."
Nichelle shakes her head while Shawn's head drops. Sammy puts a hand on his shoulder while Tammy and Lightning high five.
"This is a hidden immunity idol, any votes cast for Lightning will not count." Chris says. "I'll read the votes. First vote…"
…
…
"Lightning. Does not count."
…
"Lightning. Does not count."
Shawn frowns.
"Lightning. Does not count."
Lightning smiles.
"4th vote… Shawn."
Shawn grits his teeth.
"5th vote… Staci."
Everyone looks confused at this.
"6th… Mary. That's one vote Shawn, one vote Staci, one vote Mary."
There are more confused looks.
"7th vote… Shawn. Two votes Shawn."
Shawn sighs, the momentary hope he had now vanishing.
"8th vote… Shawn. Three votes Shawn, one vote Staci, one vote Mary."
…
"90th person voted out of Total Drama Ultimate and the 3rd member of our jury… Shawn. That's 4 and enough, it's time for you to go."
"You really voted him out, Sammy?" Nichelle asks.
"Uh, no, I voted for Lightning." Sammy replies, causing him to glare at her
"I voted for Shawn." Josee admits to quell Nichelle's confusion, causing her to look shocked. "It's not like it matters if I voted for Lightning or not, he would still be here."
"Rightfully so!"
"Shut up." Josee deadpans before looking back at Nichelle. "I'll explain at camp. Sorry Shawn."
"It's… whatever. At least you weren't being super annoying." Shawn glares at Tammy and Lightning, who gives unamused glances in response. "Sammy and Nichelle, good luck. I hope one of you wins this and please… keep the unity going."
With that, Shawn makes his exit.
Confessional: Sammy
"I'll miss Shawn. We never really got to work together, but it's always good to have someone you know. I don't really care if Lightning is mad, but being on the wrong side of the vote right after winning immunity could harm my game…"
Conf end
Confessional: MK
"We split up the more threatening group for now, I think that's the right call. Shawn is way better socially than Lightning for sure. Though with Josee voting for Shawn, part of the reason we voted Shawn got nullified. Lightning can go next, possibly, he is a big threat in the challenges if it's physical."
Conf end
Confessional: Mary
"Things were getting too heated, and I wasn't really aware of the core of the drama until it already started happening. Staci and I threw our votes on each other to avoid getting involved here. I don't like that I didn't orchestrate this tension though, because that means someone else is great at making plans. But by throwing away our votes, no one will be mad!"
Conf end
Confessional: Nichelle
"Josee didn't vote with us and Shawn was messy… now he's gone too! This really sucks, he has been my #1 since the beginning! Oh, and whoever threw their votes on Mary and Staci are idiots. Not picking a side isn't a good look, it shows that you're loyal to no one! They could've voted for each other, but I'm not canceling out the possibility of other people doing it. I won't forget this..."
Conf end
Confessional: Lightning
"And the Lightning is safe, sha-BAM!"
Conf end
Confessional: Raj
"I may have intentionally lied to get Tammy to waste it…" Raj says before giving an awkward laugh. "She clearly didn't trust me, might as well get rid of another idol that way! Between that and Nichelle's, I might be the only person with an idol remaining!"
Conf end
Confessional: Tammy
"Shawn is gone, but damn, I wish I didn't waste that idol!"
Conf end
Confessional: Josee
"The writing was on the wall, and voting against Shawn separates me from Nichelle in the eyes of the others. I will do damage control to make things right, my enemies will go soon."
Conf end
We cut to Chris alone at the campfire ceremony. "Well, now only ten players remain! We are in the top percentage. Who will fall next? Tune in next time to find out here on Total Drama Ultimate!"
This episode being one of the top six longest is so weird, I did not mean for this lol. I had confidence in this episode, but now I'm not as I'm shaky on some scenes that might get edited later, oops.
Shawn- His betrayal plot was going to last longer, but I stopped caring for writing him and in hindsight, I wish he would've gone out at the Noah boot instead if I wasn't going to go full throttle. He's a fine support character, but obviously the worst character left in the game, so he had to go.
Top 10 is crazy though, actually making it this far is awesome.
