Hey, Hey, Hey. Sorry for the late update, yesterday went out to do some activities with my family and didn't get back until late and only did 10 minutes of editing before heading to bed. But since I had the time, finished up the editing and now am posting the chapter. Last time Kaina and Inko learned about the attack, yet Kaina can't do anything while Inko rushes herself and Eri to UA and at the last second it seemed that Izuku might actually be alive. Tell to see how the Main character recovers from this,
As always I do not own MY HERO ACADEMIA or any of their characters.
With that, let's start off with a bang
It seemed in the momentary distraction of the adults worrying over Izuku's health, Eri had stepped away from Principal Nezu and had somehow gotten on top of the hospital bed. And now she was sitting on Izuku's stomach. A look of horror grew in her eyes as she said, "Izuku, wake up, I want to play."
That caused everyone within the room to freeze. Eyes jumped from where Eri had previously been standing to where she was currently sitting.
"Izuku wake up, you promise you would play with me." Eri said. It was as if her mind refused to believe that Izuku was dead, despite the many injuries his body had sustained.
"Eri," Inko said, taking a step forward, but froze as Eri's expression changed to one of horror and terror. Then tears began to form at the edge of Eri's eyes and fall down her cheek. The next second Eri dove forwards and wrapped her arm around Izuku's neck in a hug.
"You have to wake up Izuku. You, you promised you would be there for me. That you w-w-would always p-p-protect me. You saved me from that bad man and told me that you won't let anyone hurt me ever again!" Eri yelled in a broken voice as she cried. And then her horn began to grow in size and emitted a dim glowing white light, "You treated me nicely, different from…. You g-gave me a life from o-o-o-Overhaul and you called me your little sister!
"Come back to me Izuku," Eri yelled as the white light from her horn became stronger and began to pulse around her body, disappearing into the surrounding air
Everyone stepped back as the white light hovered in the air and, almost violently, latch on Izuku's body, causing his body to start to convulse. "What's happening?" Recovery Girl yelled over the sound of Eri's quirk running wide, which had caused the air within the room to swirl around as if a tornado had formed.
"If I had to guess this is Eri's quirk, we always thought it was tied to her horn," Mareo said as he shielded his eyes from the blinding light. He had hoped it would reveal itself in a controlled environment, so nobody got hurt. Then offer to help her control her quirk, but now that she was using her quirk in front of Principal Nezu and Recovery Girl, he won't be able to secretly train her. Then again, who better to help Eri understand and control her quirk, than the two world-leading authorities in quirk biology, the smartest mammal in the world and the best doctor in the world?
"You showed me more kindness than anyone ever had! You brought me presents, just get me to smile! You saved me and became the first person I could call a hero." Eri pressed her face against Izuku's, tears flowing down both their cheeks, "You were the first person I could ever call family, I can't lose you to, not before you see me smile!"
The convulsions turned into a violent shake as if Izuku's body was trying to fly out of the bed. The legs of the bed began to move around as Izuku's body continued to shake, but Eri didn't let go. She held on tight to her big brother, as she remembered all the gifts Izuku had given him. All the time he had made for her. All the fun they had together, but Eri could never give her big brother a smile, because she didn't think she had a right to ever be happy. But Izuku never gave up trying and Eri didn't want all that effort to be wasted.
"I want my Oniichan back." Eri yelled and in a flash of light, the multiple wounds over Izuku's body began to heal and closed, appearing as if the damage was being reversed. Wounds closed in on themselves. Bruises welled up and then transformed into raw skin. Cuts stitched themselves together.
As the flash of light disappeared, Eri's horn was revealed to have shortened back to its normal size, if not a bit shorter. That appeared to be everything that was going to happen, but Izukus's eyes shot up and he took a deep breath, filling his lungs with air. Then he shot up and hugged Eri back, "I can't tell how happy I am to finally hear you call me that. I've waited so long to hear you say that."
While it appeared Eri's quirk was no longer running wild, her horn was still pulsing a bright white light. A white light went from Eri's body and covered Izukus's body, only to disappear. Yet Izuku paid no attention as he continued to hug his little sister. Which seemed to be what was needed as Eri's heart rate slowed, with the pulsing of the white light matching it.
"I love you Eri." Izuku said, hugging his little sister ever tighter, "And you'll never lose me again. And I'm proud of you." Izuku and Eri continued to hug for the next minute as the white light slowly disappeared.
With tears still running down her cheeks, Eri released Izuku and with a smile said, "Thank you for everything you've done for me."
Izuku smiled back as he wiped the tear from Eri's face. He then said, "I would do everything again, in a heartbeat." Then he noticed something, he was only seeing out of his left eye, but he was sure that his left eye had been damaged in the fight. Izuku reached up and touched around his left eye, there was no pain radiating from the touch. He couldn't even feel the scar he was sure he had, even if he had been healed by a quirk. Izuku then brought up his right hand and began to undo the wrapping around his head.
Recovery Girl called out to have him stop, but Izuku didn't until the wrapping was off and his face was revealed to be perfectly healed. Not only was his vision perfectly okay, but he could see out of both of his eyes and there were no dark spots. Izuku then ran his tongue along his teeth, as he remembered spitting one out. Yet after double-checking, none of them were missing. Maybe a powerful healing quirk could have healed all those, but the one thing no healing quirk could have healed was dead tissue.
With that thought Izuku quickly began to unwrap the gauze from around his right arm. Recovery Girl and now Inko had called out to him to stop, but he paid them no attention until all the gauze was off. Izuku then took in a breath as his right arm was revealed to be perfectly healed, there were no cracks of dead tissue or signs of decay. That meant there was no sign of any kind of injuries on his body.
"Impossible. He's in perfect health. Even with my quirk, the decay to his right arm would have been left behind. Nor does he appear to be exhausted as my quirk could have caused." Recovery Girl said, from a distance, as none of the adults were confident in stepping forwards.
Principal Nezu looked over Izuku and Eri, while many quirks broke the laws of psychics and nature's law, the one thing that remained no matter how odd of a quirk was the exchange of energy. Yet now Izuku was perfectly healed, and he didn't look exhausted at all. Principal Nezu's eyes dropped to Eri, who didn't look as tired as she should have been. Sure her eyes were a bit droopy and her shoulders were dropped, but he was sure that more from the release of stress than anything else.
Back with Izuku, He shifted his weight around so that he could better sit with Eri in his lap. He let out a small yawn, but not as big one as he expected. In fact, he didn't feel exhausted at all, as if he had just woken up from a nap. Izuku looked down at his little sister and saw content and happy face, showing no sign of exhaustion that came with healing a person.
As Izuku shifted his weight, he caught a glimpse of the inside of his left bicep and he saw something that made him do a double take. The last few minutes of the attack were a bit hazy in his memory, but one thing he remembered clearly was using his ultimate move Cannon Shot. Which would have taken all of his ammo, didn't matter whether it was 50 bullets or max capacity. Izuku was sure he shouldn't have any left.
Yet as he looked down at his left arm, the tattoo-like bullet marks were visible on his left arm. In fact by his quick count his rifle was almost had max capacity. "I don't think Eri has a healing quirk. I think it's something else."
"What do you mean, Young Midoriya?' Mareo asked.
"I remember, before passing out I used my ultimate move. Cannon shot, it takes whatever ammunition I have left and fires it in one large projectile." Izuku said then moved his left arm to show off the tattoos, "Yet I still have all my bullets from before using that move."
Everyone in the room looked at Izuku's left arm and saw the markings he was talking about. That wasn't something that a normal healing quirk would, or could do. It was almost as if Izuku's body had been returned to the state it was before the fight.
"So essentially talking, Eri rewound your body to the state it was before your fight against Shigaraki and Nomu." Principal Nezu said. Healing quirk could mend cuts, bruises and over time broken bones. Izuku's loss of ammunition won't be considered an injury, so there was something else at work.
"That's what it feels like," Izuku said as he looked over at the clock on the wall. It was 3:54, yet his internal clock told him it was barely 2 o'clock. It did feel like he had been rewound, and reverted to a previous state. That thought echoed through Izuku's mind a couple of times, 'reverted to a previous state'. That's how the quirk destroying bullets worked, it wasn't destroying the quirk within a person's DNA it was rewinding Quirk Factor back to a time before quirks existed. That is why a person's quirk returned later, because the effect wore off and the DNA accelerated back to modern times. "I think I figured it out. I know how they work, how Overhaul was using her blood to create a quirk-erasing drug."
Izuku immediately closed his jaw and locked it. His eyes darted back and forth between Recovery Girl and Principal Nezu. She seemed to still be processing what Izuku said, while Principal Nezu had a look as if he was trying to solve a difficult puzzle.
"Overhaul. Isn't that the name of the boss of that Yazuke group that got arrested around New year's. The Shie Hassaikai, wasn't it?" Recovery Girl asked.
Izuku didn't miss the dirty look from Mareo and the look of shame from his mother. He made his bed and now he had to lay in it. He already told the truth to Ochaco and that was already far too many people to tell. And if Principal Nezu knew the truth behind what had taken down the Shie Hassaikai, it wouldn't be long until he figured out Project Velocity.
"Yes, I remember the media coverage, the police received an anonymous tip that held enough information to get a warrant to search all of their known property. It caused quite the panic in the media as it happened so suddenly and the different news outlets had to rush to produce the story." Principal Nezu said, remembering the amount of chaos he got to enjoy, even thinking to thank the person that had caused it as it was funny to see the news run around like chickens with their heads cut off, "Though the suddenness makes me believe that a lot is hidden from the public eyes. Did you have anything to do with that, Midoriya."
Izuku's mind went a thousand kilometres an hour as he thought about what lies to tell. He couldn't say that Eri was rescued during the raid and he and his mother had been selected to take care of her and protect her while the Shie Hassiakai was disassembled. That would raise the question of why they had been selected in the first place. They had no known ties to pro-heroes, they weren't registered with the foster system.
Izuku couldn't say he was the one who broke into the Shie Hassaikai base and kidnapped/rescued Eri and was the one for the anonymous tip. Again would raise the question of why he was breaking into the Shie Hassaikai.
So then how about part of the truth and if Izuku told it correctly he could bounce off Principal Nezu and Recovery Girl to further the lie.
Izuku took a deep breath and said, "It happened right before Christmas." He could see Inko and Mareo flinch, looking almost ready to stop him, "I was in the Wasukako prefecture." Inko's irises started to glow and Mareo looked as if he was about to have an aneurysm, "I was looking for a gift for my mother. It was around 7:00 at night and I hadn't been able to find anything. That's when I saw Eri running into an alleyway. From the state of her clothes and her hair, I figured she needed help. So I parked my bike and followed her into the alleyway.
"I found her in a torn and dirty hospital gown and her hair was full of dirt and grime and what wasn't covered in the hospital gown I saw was covered in medical gauze. The cold air was making her shiver and her nose and cheeks were bright red. Her hands and feet were like ice, so I suspected she would get frostbite soon. But she was scared of something. I talked to her and managed to get to her when a group of men walked up behind me. One of them claimed that Eri was her daughter and others were there to help him, but something didn't feel right.
"I noticed tattoo markings on them. I caught a glimpse of two of them having pistols. Yet before I could ask any question they pulled out guns and fired at me. I grabbed Eri and dove behind a garbage bin. Using my bodyguard license, I engaged the men and used my blue bullets to knock them out. As I walked out of the alleyway, I heard a radio on one of the men and a voice calling out to them. Asking for the group of men to report it and report any sighting of quote "Boss's granddaughter." Yet after the question was asked three times, I then heard a voice calling for a group of men to get into a van and drive to the alleyway.
"I suspected abuse and neglect, possible endangerment, so I got Eri on my motorcycle and drove her to Mufustau General Hospital. There the doctors and nurse helped Eri get back to health, as she showed signs of abuse and malnourishment. It was during that time police officers came to talk to me and explained that Eri's blood had raised some flags in their system. They explain that Eri's blood had been tied to a string of incidents where a person's quirk would disappear for a few hours.
"The police and pro hero tried to take her off my hands, but I had imprinted on her." Izuku paused to give Recovery Girl and Principal Nezu a chance to process everything.
"If Eri was being abused by the Yakuze and you saved her, no wonder she imprinted with you. You were probably the first person to be nice to her." Recovery Girl said, remembering all that Erio had yelled about, claiming Izuku to be the first person to ever be nice to her, the first she would call a family.
"The whole situation gave enough ground for police and pro heroes to get a warrant to search the property, underground child trafficking and drug manufacturing. Luckily the raid found enough evidence to arrest the majority of the Shie Hassaikai, without us having to be involved." Izuku continued.
"No need to have an innocent girl on stand, reliving her worst memories." Principal Nezu said and Izuku took that as the two of them believing the lie. And it seemed that's how Inko and Mareo took it as they relaxed and took a step back.
"And since Eri only felt safe around me, the foster system was redundant." Izuku ended the story.
"And it seems you've been taking good care of your little sister." Principal Nezu said, then paused. "But what about your comment about the quirk destroying bullets? Can you expand on it?"
"The officer explains that over the months leading up to the raid, there had been incidents around Japan, where people were being hit with darts and their quirk wouldn't work for a few hours. It was thought to be some kind of drug that caused it, but when a mutant type was hit with it, he transformed to look like a normal human, only hours later to transform back. It was shortly after that a pro hero was hit with one of the darts, but it didn't get through his armor. He turned into the police and found a dart contained blood and other chemicals."
"I'm guessing when they tested the chemicals, it was found that it had no effect, so they focused on the blood." Principal Nezu said, raising a paw up to his chin, "And when there wasn't any match in the system the police would have put out an alert for the next time it appeared. And when the doctors did the blood test it alerted the police."
"After learning about all this, I thought Eri's quirk was similar to Eraserhead and his ability to temporarily disable someone's quirk. But now I'm thinking Eri's quirk works in a different way. It doesn't erase a person's quirk but rewinds their body to before the time of quirks." Izuku said.
"So in a way, you helped take down the Shie Hassaikai by rescuing a girl. We might as well slap your name on a hero license and give it to you." Recovery Girl said as she continued to watch over Izuku and Eri from a distance. The' nurse' in her told her she needed to do a medical check of them, however, she rather not die from accidental quirk activation.
"So a villain had the key to potential eternal youth and he chose to use it to erase quirks." Mr. Aizawa said, suddenly appeared in a doorway, which led to a secondary recovery room. He had some gauze over the right side of his face and his arms wrapped in braces, "I see why you reacted so irrationally and rescued Eri, despite having no backup and no idea of who your opponent was."
"Mr. Aizawa, you seem to have seen better days." Izuku said with a chuckle.
"You did good kid as if not for you, I would have ended up in a worse state." Mr. Aizawa said, as he walked over and sat in a chair, "Yet I'm still exhausted from Recovery Girl's quirk."
"And that's why I told you to stay in bed for the rest of the day." Recovery Girl said as she rammed her cane into Mr Aizawa's side. Mr. Aizawa's facial expression didn't change much, but he did use his leg to kick the cane away.
Izuku laughed a little and asked, "How are the others?"
"Everyone got out with not much more than scrapes and bruises. Besides yourself, it was only Bakugo that got banged up, but that more on his part for foolishly jumping in between All Might and Nomu, and using both of those gauntlets of his in quick succession. He barely required a kiss." Recovery Girl said, causing Izuku to smirk. Bkaugo was brash and prideful, but he wasn't stupid enough to be caught in a fight between a person that even All Might was struggling with and the man himself without good reason. Recovery Girl then regained his attention by walking over to the door and opening it, "Yet not everyone decided to head home." -She then leaned out and yelled- "Alright, you can come in!"
The sounds of rushing footsteps filled the hallway and a few seconds later, Ochaco, Momo, Ilda, Shinsou and Tokoyami came rushing in. Yet they all stopped when they saw Izuku was awake and Izuku looked them over. It was as Recovery Girl had said, none of them had any serious injury. Ilda had a small bandage over his forehead, Tokoyami had one over his beak and Momo's clothes hung loose around her body, "Oh, Midoriya you're awake. Recovery Girl said you would be out for the rest of the day." Ochaco paused, then took in everything else. His healed eyes, the raw skin on his right arm, Eri sitting on his lap, "And you're healed."
"Yeah, you can thank Eri for that," Izuku said and tossed Eri in the air a bit. As she climbed Eri let out a worried sound, but as Izuku caught her she laughed. As Eri's laugh reached Ochaco's ears, her heart skipped a few beats. She couldn't believe it, Eri had just laughed, yet the last time Ochaco had seen her a few days ago, she wasn't even close to smiling. What could have possibly happened for Eri to overcome all the darkness that surrounded her.
"Onee-chan." Eri said and held her arms out to Ochaco. Ochaco could feel her heart beginning to cry as she realized Eri had called her a big sister. Something she never had gotten to experience since she was an only child. Ochaco then noticed Izuku's stare, so she nodded. Izuku lowered Eri to the ground and then let her run to Ochaco. Ochaco picked her up and Eri asked, "Can you make me float?"
Ochaco was a little cautious about doing so, because of all the weight she had floated during the USJ. Yet upon seeing Eri's smile grow, she decided any amount of nausea she was going to feel would be worth it.
Ochaco pressed her fingertips into Eri's back in a hug, then lifted Eri about her head. Eri began to laugh, Izuku was happy with Eri's smile, but the way she laughed. Izuku felt he had died and gone to heaven. Eri continued to smile as she floated until she turned and spotted Tokoyami. A demonic image of Overhaul with his mask appeared in her mind and overlaid Tokoyami. This caused Eri to close up a bit and whimper, "Overhaul."
Izuku heard this and followed her attention to Tokoyami and immediately understood. Overhaul was known for his medieval beak mask and Tokoyami's head resembled that. Izuku swung his legs off of the bed, which caused the blanket to come off his legs and chest. Luckily he still had the pants on from his hero costume and the cover he had for his chest was the medical gauze. But it was tightly wrapped that it showed off his muscular frame, something that did not help Ochaco or even Momo.
Izuku walked over to Eri, pulled her down into a hug, and said, "It's okay, that's Tokoyami. He's one of your big brother's friends. I know he might look scary but he's nice and kind, just like me."
"Scary, but nice and kind has never been something I've been called before." Tokoyami said.
Izuku began to rub circles on Eri's back then looked over at Tokoyami, "Sorry Tokoyami. Someone that was mean to her in the past used to wear a plague doctor mask. And I suppose your mutation reminds her of that."
"I take no offence, I simply came by to give my thanks for your help in the USJ. You rescued me from that pit of eternal darkness. To allow this joyous moment to no longer be held off, I will excuse myself." Tokoyami said as he bowed then walked out. As he opened the door, Dark Shadow appeared behind his back and gave a thumbs-up. The sudden appearance of the quirk scared Eri a bit, but she gave a thumbs-up back. Dark Shadow then met Izuku's eyes and quivered in fear.
Something that confused Izuku to a great degree, but his attention was drawn back as Eri asked to be released into the air again. Izuku let go of Eri and naturally floated up into the air. Ilda looked up at her and said, "So this is Eri, the little girl you rescued."
"Yeah, that's it. She's my little sister now." Izuku said.
Eri floated over to Momo and looked at her while upside down. "You look like Big Brother, you both have long hair."
Momo chuckled into her hand and then looked at Izuku with a smirk, "Yes, we both have long hair, but between us, he has no idea how to take care of it."
Izuku huffed and held his arms out in offence, "I'm getting better with that okay."
Feeling that it was now safe, Recovery Girl walked up to Izuku and said, "Sit."
Izuku knew better than to test Recovery Girl's patience, so he stepped back and sat down on the bed. Then Recovery Girl began a medical checkup on him. However, Izuku didn't think it was necessary as he was sure he was in perfect health. So as Recovery Girl did the check-up, he asked, "So what about you, three, what brings you around?"
"Hey, what about me?" Ochaco asked as she kept a watchful eye on Eri. Before Izuku could answer, Principal Nezu, Mr Aizawa and Mareo excused themselves, but not before Principal Nezu said, "Midoriya, there is an officer who is taking charge of the case for the USJ. Is it alright if I pass along your phone number? You faced the three main villains, I believe there might be some insight you could pass along."
"Yeah, you can pass along my phone number. "Izuku said with a nod, then turned to Ochaco and stuck his tongue out a bit, "You're still here because I'm your ride home."
Ochaco would have given a few choice words to Izuku, but they weren't alone and Eri was in the room. Izuku then turned to Shinsou, Momo and Ilda.
"As you're the class president, I wanted to make sure you were okay and if any assistance was needed of me." Ilda said, with a bow. Izuku nodded back, wondering if he should have voted for Ilda. Ilda clearly had a work ethic like no one else, Izuku guessed that came from growing up in a family of pro heroes.
"I saw how injured you were after the fight, I saw your eye while you were being loaded in the ambulance. I wanted to talk to Recovery Girl and see if there was any chance of recovering your eyesight, as my family has some resources that could have helped with that, but it looks like you won't be needing it." Momo said, as she reached up and Eri grabbed her hand. The white-haired unicorn floated around Momo, gaining a smile from the older girl.
Izuku then turned to Shinsou who shrugged his shoulders and said, "I consider you a friend, alright." Izuku nodded then turned back to Momo.
"Yaoyorozu, If you don't mind, Eri just overcame a big hurdle today recovering from her past and I think that deserves some kind of reward, so could you make something for me?" Izuku asked as the Recovery Girl finished the medical checkup. To her disbelief Izuku was in perfect health, even with her powerful healing quirk, it would have missed something with how low Izuku's stamina was, or rather was as it seem Izuku wasn't feeling exhausted. Even if Izuku had stamina to spare, Recovery Girl's quirk would have missed something, leave behind minor injuries, such as sore muscles, irritated ear drums or flesh wounds to be healed naturally, but Eri's quirk. Healing or temporary manipulation, whatever it was it had gotten everything. There was no sign that Izuku was on death's door
With the medical check done, Recovery Girl disappeared into her side office, leaving Inko as the only adult in the room.
Momo looked up at Eri and wrapped her arms around the little girl's waist, she then looked over at Ochaco. Ochaco nodded in understanding, then released her quirk, allowing Eri to fall into Momo's arms. "Is there something you want Eri?"
Eri thought about it for a second, then whispered something in Momo's ear. Momo looked over at Izuku and gave a bit of a devilish smile, then said, "Yeah I can make that for you." Momo then held out her hand and after a small light show, a small statue sat in her open palm. It was a statue of Izuku in his hero costume, his hair done up in a ponytail and his scooter ready for use. He was kneeling down on his right leg and was using his left leg and arm to steady his transformed arm, which had a bullet coming out of its barrel, with a tail of smoke connecting it to the end of the barrel.
Eri smiled and reached for the statue and said, "Thank you Yaomomo."
Momo smiled and said, "You're welcome and you don't have to call me anything else dear."
"I'd like to thank you all for being here for my son and being such good friends. It's late in the evening, I would like to repay you for your kindness with dinner." Inko said, with a slight bow.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea, Mrs. Midoriya," Ochaco said as nothing sounded better than home-cooked meals especially one from Inko. While a small part of her mind took her, this was just another opportunity to get closer to Izuku, she stumped that thought out by telling herself she was doing this as friends, not as a spy or anything else.
"Thank you for the offer." Shinsou and Ilda said, with Ilda adding in a bow
Momo was about to say something, but Ochaco elbowed her in the ribs. "Trust me, no matter what your private chef makes for dinner tonight, it will be nothing compared to Mrs Midoriya's cooking," Ochaco whispered as she took Eri from Momo. However, Eri didn't seem to notice as she was looking at her new statue.
"How did you know I had a private chief?" Momo asked.
"Because you're rich." Ochaco said, with a knowing look.
"How did you know I was rich?" Momo said, thou despite her proper manners and upbringing, she was hoping to have a chance to get away from all that at UA. She was hoping no one would guess she came from a wealthy family, though she did just admit that her family could have helped Izuku recover.
"I may not be rich, but I know what poor looks like and you don't hold yourselves that way," Ochaco said as she took Eri from Momo, though the young girl barely even noticed as she was still looking over the statue.
"Wait, what about school tomorrow? The only person that lives close by is Uraraka. All the others would be stuck on trains for the night." Izuku said, as the Recovery Girl returned with a shirt and handed it to Izuku.
As Izuku slipped on the shirt, Recovery Girl said, "School has been canceled for the rest of the week." Izuku looked at Recovery Girl confused for a bit then with a nod. It was a smart move to cancel school, it would show the media and world that UA was taking the threat presented at the USJ certifiable. It wasn't the first time the hero school had been targeted or attacked, as it happened often in the school's early years. But it was the first time it had been attacked in some time and to such a degree, the last time happening even before All Might's time. The whole security system would have to be reworked and upgraded where needed.
"Well that settles that, you're all coming over for dinner." Inko said, making Izuku hide a chuckle as it sounded like his mother was willing to fight and beat up everyone just to then drag them home and cook them dinner. The other must have sensed this, as they were quiet as they walked together to their lockers and grabbed their backpack.
As they walked out the front gates, they spotted a black limousine, which Momo quickly walked to the driver's window and knocked. "It's very kind of you to wait for me, Kauro, but I've been invited to a friend's house for the day. I'll call when I need to be picked up."
Kauro, the driver, looked over at the group of friends and then nodded. He then closed the window as he pulled away from the school. As the long black car drove down the hill, Momo turned to the rest of the group and said, "Sorry, my parents worry about me too much sometimes."
"You're not the only one." Izuku said, holding Eri tightly as he ducked down to dodge a swipe from his mother, who yelled, "It's only natural!" The group walked across the street and over to the car and motorcycle, where Izuku and Ochaco got onto Izuku's motorcycle, while Shinsou and Ilda got in the back of the car with Eri while Momo got up front with Inko. As Izuku slipped on his helmet, Shinsou rolled down his window to ask a question.
"Is it a good idea for you to be driving?" Shinsou asked and Izuku looked over at him with a confused look, "I mean you were basically dead a few minutes ago."
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Izuku said, then flipped the mouthguard down.
After starting the car and motorcycle, Izuku led the car back to the house. As he neared the house, Izuku hit the button to open the garage door and then pulled in and off to the side. This allowed enough room for Inko to pull in without much trouble. Everyone got out of the car and Inko led everyone inside. Inko directed the group to the living room, while Izuku disappeared upstairs to change into a more comfortable set of clothes. He returned wearing a pair of cargo shorts and an old All Might t-shirt, with the medical gauze still noticeable around the collar and end of shelves.
As he walked into the living room, he looked over at Eri and saw that Momo and Ochaco were playing with her. While Shinsou was watching from a distance from the lazy boy, Ilda already had his homework out and was doing it on the coffee table. Izuku sat down in front of Eri and said, "Sorry girls, but it's time for Eri to do her job."
As Ochaco and Momo became confused, Izuku handed Eri a brush. Eri grabbed the brush and climbed onto the couch. Izuku then leaned against the base of the couch and Eri began brushing Izuku's hair. As she brushed Izuku's hair, a small smile appeared on her face.
"So that's how you get your hair combed, free child labor." Shinsou said.
Izuku gave a fake laugh and said, "She enjoys doing it and I buy her things all the time, so I hardly say she does it for free." Izuku then sensed Ochaco and without waiting another moment, he flicked his arm out and magically produced another brush. Ochaco noticed and immediately grabbed it out of Izuku's hand and sat up next to Eri.
"Zuzu, would you and your friends like to play a game while you wait for dinner." Inko said, knowing exactly what she was doing. Though Ochaco had been over the house before, this was the first time Izuku had a group of friends over. Inko was not going to miss this chance to get some payback on her son for all those years of stress and worry he put her through and going to do so in the future.
Izuku clicked his tongue, knowing what she was doing. "I think for now we should work on our homework, before we get to playing games."
"Oh my gosh, you sound like Ilda," Ochaco said as she leaning back and hitting her head against the couch cushion.
Ilda looked up from his homework, seemingly not paying attention to the conversation, just hearing his name, "You say my name?"
"Yeah, we've got the whole weekend to get that done." Shinsou groaned as he stuffed his face with a pillow. He was tired… he was always tired and they had just got done with being attacked by a group of villains, so homework was the last thing he wanted to do. They needed a chance to relax and distract themselves form the terror they just went through.
"Midoriya is right, and as class president, he should set an example to follow. If you want I can help you through the more difficult parts." Momo said.
"What you refer to as 'parts' I refer to as 'the whole assignment," Shinsou said, as he pulled the pillow away from his face and stared daggers at Momo. They argued a bit more, but it ended when they put it to a vote. With Ochaco and Shinsou against, while Izuku, Momo and Ilda were for. So Shinsou and Ochaco were forced to sit down and do homework on their time off, though lucky for them it went by quickly with Momo helping with the chemistry and social studies homework.
While Ilda helped in Japanese and Economics, Izuku tutored everyone in Mathematics and Heroics studies within both subjects he barely even had to look at the questions before he was able to answer them. Even solving some heroic question before someone finished reading it and having to wait. An hour before dinner was called, the small group finished what little homework they had much to the relief of Ochaco and Shinsou. Knowing that shock could be a scary thing to go through, Izuku kept a close eye on his friends for any signs.
Throughout the homework assignments Izuku didn't see any of the major signs and knowing they could all deal with a good break, Izuku decided to break out his Playstation. Knowing having them play any of the harder games wouldn't do good on the psyche, Izuku decided to boot up Minecraft and let them run wild. While he watched the four of them play, Izuku quizzed Eri on her homework, giving math word problems and writing different sentences for her to correct.
It seemed that despite the abnormal teaching style and lesson plans, Eri would do quite well on the material given to her. It was still a bit behind another child her age, but she was catching up quickly. The two were sure when the next school year started, if Eri was up for it, she would be well ahead of her class.
Oh would you look at the, Izuku Midoriya is alive. And it's thanks to Eri's quirk. Now I believe that I set up how fragile Eri's mindset is and how easily she could break see Izuku so hurt. Just remember Eri's lost control over her quirk after seeing LeMillion, Sir Nighteye and Deku being hurt, people she could have only known for less than an hour and half. How much harder do you think that would have hit Eri after she had months (4 months) to form a connection with Izuku. Yeah she going to lose it and her control would go crazy.
And to those who think I didn't hit the shock of the villain attack, hard enough in this characters, just hold onto your replies until next chapter.
Beyond that, next chapter the group of friends spend some time at the Midoriya household and then Izuku enjoys his weekend with Eri.
