After running for what felt like forever, my energy from the shock adrenaline seemed to have finally faded, as my chase attempt came to a sudden halt when I had to stop for a moment for a few gasps of air.
I was becoming desperate. I was running into constant dead ends, and it felt like the finishing line was more out of sight than ever. I could only hope at that point that Harry was doing better than me. He had the important live recording device, after all.
My anxiety did not make me take long to continue my fast-walk further into the Hideout after slightly recovering my energy. At that point, I was already getting used to the lack of brightness around the area, so I could at least somewhat navigate properly during my search.
Just as my patience was almost running out, Arceus seemed to have finally blessed me, as sounds of flowing water ahead of my direction started playing in my ears. As I walked deeper into the Hideout, the sounds only got louder and louder, giving me some long lost hope.
It did not take me long to soon find myself in front of a metal door in the middle of a thick wall, which was the only thing that seemed to be separating me and the heavily audible water flows. I took a deep breath before quietly opening the door, hoping not to make too much noise that could attract attention from the villains.
Bingo, I thought as the sight behind the metal door still managed to leave me in slight shock, despite the mental preparation I had made for myself. The reasonably-sized ship mentioned by Kyla and Stone was finally revealed, which seemed to have just undergone a rebuild, which looked to fit around multiple members of Team Willpower. The Willpower Leader, Wilson, seemed to have intended more people to be on board for their operations, but obviously, plans had changed.
After carefully examining the area to notice no presence, I quietly walked towards a platform close to the ship and instantly noticed the entrance. Since there was still a distance between my spot and the ship, I was forced to get myself slightly wet in the process as I barely managed to enter inside the ship. It was not pretty, for sure, but I felt at least fortunate to discover what could be the key to Wilson's plans.
And at that point, I could only wish for Harry, or anyone else, to stumble across this ship like I did very soon, and show it to the others to finally put a stop to all this nonsense.
Unfortunately, my prayers would not be answered just yet.
The ship suddenly shook very badly, as if the engines of the ship had just activated, which almost caused me to lose balance and fall over, but I barely managed. My suspicions ended up turning into a reality, as I felt the ship started setting sail forward.
Crap, I thought, realizing that all this time, I was not alone on this ship. As for who it was… I knew it all too well.
I sighed, if only I had the live recording device instead of Harry, just for this moment…
The ship was not going to wait for my reaction as it sailed full speed ahead. As I managed to get a peek of the scenery outside the ship, I saw an open path in front of us, which seemed to be a hidden exit out of the former Team Aqua Hideout. With that, the ship easily snuck out from the back and made its grand escape. However, with the noises it made, its presence definitely would not be hidden for much longer.
Wilson probably did not care about that, though. It would still take a while for the authorities to catch up, and by the time that happened, it could already be all too late. Everything was still in the Willpower Leader's control.
Realization set in. Right now, the only one who could do anything to stop Wilson… is me.
Even if I couldn't, I need to at least do enough… to stall Wilson and let the PLA members do the final blow.
I clenched my fist, before slowly finding my way up towards the ship deck.
Where I would be making my last ditch effort.
On the other side…
With Charmaine and May's efforts, the remaining members from the PLA were able to infiltrate into the current Willpower Hideout and launch their surprise attack. Most of the Willpower Grunts succumbed to the pressure and let themselves get caught almost instantly, while some persistent ones tried making a final stand by sending their Pokémon to fend the PLA members off, only to get a quick reality check as their Pokémon were sent fainting on the ground in mere seconds.
The operations were going well. Too well.
For the moment, they obviously would not complain about how smooth it had been, anyway. After successfully apprehending almost all the grunts on site, the locked handcuffs from the police department sealed their inevitable ends, before the Willpower Grunts lowered their heads as they were taken outside the Hideout by the police officers, their fates no longer in their hands.
As the PLA members, who were mostly outside the Hideout at that point after the initial chaos, witnessed the last of the Willpower Grunts on site entering the remaining vacant police cars, Brendan noticed the vibration from his smaller Pokégear stuffed in his pocket, before noticing the call request from his longtime friend, May. He answered immediately.
"How are things going on your side, May?" Brendan asked.
[Uh… it's slightly complicated.] May explained, [Long story short, I'm currently at the storage room, helping out the kidnapped Trainer, Sip with Kyla and Stone. Stuff happened… and they should be on our side now.]
"I trust you, May. Still, be careful." Brendan said.
[I will!] May replied, [But there's a bigger matter at hand right now. We had an encounter with the Willpower Leader, Wilson, who got away from us and is now most likely plotting an escape through the ship we mentioned during the meeting.]
"That's not good… Is anyone giving chase to Wilson right now?" Brendan became concerned about the looming threat that had been a sore thumb for the PLA throughout the months.
[Harry and Lows are currently giving chase to Wilson. I would join them too, but I figured someone needed to stay around to inform the others about the current situation.]
"Got it, May. I will be sending reinforcements your way and help with the search. Thanks for your efforts." Brendan was grateful about his friend's important role throughout this operation so far.
[No sweat, Brendan! Just give me the best viewing seats for the upcoming Ever Grande League matches when they happen.] May chuckled.
Just as the call between Brendan and May ended, another Pokégear rang, which revealed to be Brawly's. The Dewford Gym Leader took no time answering the call, which revealed to be from his son, Harry.
It was very obvious that the signal around Harry's area was not too strong, as Brawly needed to focus up in order to comprehend the full sentences Harry was trying to convey. [Da-d, are you able to he-ar me?]
"Barely, but good enough." Brawly replied.
[Goo-d.] Harry sighed in slight relief, [I don't kn-ow how lo-ng thi-s signal will h-old ou-t for, so I'l-l mak-e it quick. Lows a-nd I were giv-ing chase to the Willpo-wer Leader, but I got sep-arated from Lo-ws, and I also lo-st Wilson.]
Brawly could sense the frustration in Harry's voice, probably disappointed that he could not do a better job locating the villainous leader. With that, he tried reassuring his son, "You did your best, Harry. We're going to take over from here, so there's nothing to worry about."
[I gu-ess.] Harry said, [But I'm also wo-rried about Lows. He obviou-sly had impro-ved throughout the mo-nths, but he would p-robably still ha-ve a hard ti-me against som-eone like Wi-lson.]
Before Brawly could give an appropriate response to Harry's concerns, Winona suddenly said, "I don't mean to interrupt, but has anyone heard anything in the distance? Like a ship is currently sailing nearby."
Everyone tried to search for the noises Winona mentioned, only to no avail as they shook their heads in disagreement. Wallace did trust the Flying type Gym Leader, though, as he said, "I trust Winona. Her sense of hearing is definitely exceptional among all of us here, so I'm inclined to believe the potential presence of the ship Winona suspected about."
Winona gratefully looked at the Sootopolis Gym Leader, before sensing more noises coming from a certain direction. She quickly pointed towards the direction afar as the PLA members looked towards it, which revealed the grand secret the Willpower Leader, Wilson was trying to hide all this time.
A ship was sailing away from the Hideout at full speed from behind.
The current Champion finally realized that was what May was talking about, and instantly commanded, "I'm afraid Wilson is making his grand escape on that ship and also trying to locate Kyogre as planned. We need to give chase immediately!"
No words were needed as some of the members sent out their Pokémon that would be helpful in their endeavors, notably Steven on his Skarmory, Winona on her Altaria, Merodī, and Wallace on his Milotic, before they instantly used the terrain to their advantage and started giving chase to the Willpower Leader.
Brendan watched the three take off, having full faith in them as he yelled, "Call us if you need extra reinforcements!"
The three members unisonly responded with quick thumbs up before they quickly disappeared from the other PLA members' sights with their trusty partners.
Everyone could only hope that they had enough time… to stop the last monstrosity that was going to be commenced by the final boss of Team Willpower.
Finding my way as I slowly climbed up towards the ship deck, it did not take me long to eventually notice the only possible candidate of the other person in the ship: Willpower Leader Wilson. He was nonchalantly facing me while standing at the near end of the ship deck, as if he fully expected my intrusion. He was holding the device everyone feared all along: the Legendary Pokémon Tracker. He was ready to go all out, despite being the lone survivor in this endeavor.
"Truth be told, I'm surprised you even managed to find this ship." Wilson said, "However, that's all you can achieve for today. Nothing will stand in my way of finding Kyogre. Not a kid like you, at least!"
"It's not too late to turn back, Wilson." I tried to convince the man in my nightmares, even though the efforts seemed futile, "The authorities are most likely already searching for this ship, and all your members are no longer with you. This mission of yours… will likely come to an end very soon."
"...It's already too late!" The Willpower Leader dismissed my words, "A kid like you wouldn't understand jack. When the world is against you your whole life… there's nothing for me to lose anymore!"
I did not know what he had gone through in the past, but it must have been horrible enough… for him to pursue a goal of setting the world on fire.
Wilson continued, "All this time, Arceus never loved me. It always made me feel like an utter loser. But today, everything will change! I am this close to making a name for myself in the Pokémon World, doesn't matter if it's for infamous reasons. I won't stop till the very end!"
His expression turned sinister as a creepy smile appeared on his face, before he declared his final warning to the world.
"If the world is cruel to me…
I'll be cruel to the world too.
By at least a hundred times more."
It was at that moment, that I knew there was not any hope in convincing Wilson anymore. I faced the man who directly caused me all this trauma from my younger age before bravely saying, "Wilson… No matter how ambitious your goals are… I won't let you do as you please. You'll need to go through me first."
Wilson only sneered, "I'd like to see what an amateur Trainer like you can do."
I was obviously afraid, but I had to maintain my brave front as I forced a smile, "Enough to make myself not look like a complete loser."
"We'll see about that!"
As he finished that sentence, he took out a Pokéball and threw it up into the air, "Furoppu, let's destroy the world together!"
A yellow Pokémon with a large mustache holding a silver spoon in each hand revealed itself to be an Alakazam. However, floating beside it was also an orb-like item with a small shade consisting of a combination of yellow and dark pink. Being susceptible to the strange item, I knew Wilson had something up his sleeve. It was most likely the Mega Evolution Dr. Kagaku previously mentioned.
My suspicions were unfortunately true as Wilson quickly revealed a small, colorful orb sitting on top of his palm, and it did not take long before the orb floating beside the Alakazam started reacting vigorously and a rainbow burst of energy surrounded the Psychic type for a few moments. Once the colorful energy subsided, the Alazakam had a completely different appearance and looked a lot stronger than its former self. Its originally yellow mustache had turned white and became longer and bushier, and an obvious red oval orb appeared in the center of its forehead. It also gained three additional spoons, in which all five spoons levitated in the air just above the Alazakam.
I gulped, so this was what Dr. Kagaku was talking about…
But I knew too well that there was no room for us to back down anymore. I took out a Pokéball from my belt and sent out my Grovyle, Woody. He maintained his usual serious demeanor as he observed his opponent. He knew he had quite a challenge ahead of him, but only responded by giving me a quick nod and readied his stance to fight without any complaints.
In some way, I felt fortunate. Even the road ahead might be dire straits, at least I had Pokémon alongside me that were on the same wavelength, and were willing to fight with me until the very end.
I took a deep breath, readying myself for a gruesome few minutes ahead. It would by no means be easy, but I could only hope that my efforts would be sufficient before the PLA members take notice of Wilson's absence from the Hideout, and arrive before everything turned into chaos.
Let's do this.
"Shadow, Night Slash!"
"That's all you can do? Furoppu, finish the Absol off with Focus Blast!"
Despite all the odds against her, my Absol still bravely lunged herself towards the Alakazam before slashing the Psychic type with her horn. However, after a series of moves, even her was unable to handle the strength of the Mega Evolved Pokémon, as the orb of yellow energy formed in front of the Alakazam was released immediately towards the Dark type, taking Shadow out in an instant.
"Good work, Shadow. Thank you for your effort." I said before sending her back to the Pokéball. With that, five of my Pokémon were defeated in just mere minutes, and I only had one more option left.
I sighed, as expected, Mega Evolution is really something out of my league… Furoppu barely looked tired at all.
With my back against the wall, I threw my final Pokéball into the air, "Surfer, brave the wave!"
My Wartortle made a quick landing on the ship deck before examining his opponent, and when even his expression turned serious, you just knew the situation was not looking good.
Surfer said, "This is a huge wave to brave, alright."
"I'm sorry." Slight guilt washed over me as that was all I could say towards my Water type starter.
"No worries, Lows." Surfer flashed me a reassuring smile, "With you, this surfer can try just a little bit harder!"
"...I expected nothing less from you, Surfer." My smile returned, before I quickly noticed the beginning of a drizzle around the ship, which could be advantageous for Surfer.
It's now or never.
"Surfer, Water Pulse!"
The pulse of water released from Surfer's mouth seemed that much more powerful thanks to the weather condition, as the attack impeccably landed on Furoppu's giant body, causing a slight wince of pain from the Psychic type. It only took a total of six Pokémon and multiple prolonged battles, but Wilson's Mega Evolved Pokémon was finally starting to show some signs of tiredness.
However, that did not mean the firepower within Furoppu had decreased, as the floating spoons together released a wave-shaped blast of psychic energy right towards Surfer, the powerful Psychic attack giving us a quick reality check.
"Surfer, use Bite!"
Surfer quickly dashed around the deck area before unexpectedly lunging himself towards the Alazakam, biting the Psychic type with his shark fangs. The super effective physical attack was able to deal more damage towards Furoppu, but there was still a lot of work to be done.
"Furoppu, Shadow Ball!"
A large black blob was quickly formed with the aid of the five spoons as it was released towards my Water type, the Shadow Ball attack looking much more terrifying than any of Grace's. The attack hit Surfer with relative ease as my starter tried enduring the pain as he gritted his teeth, a veil of water starting to surround him to activate the ability Torrent.
The guilt had returned to my senses as I once again apologized, "Sorry for roping you guys into this, Surfer."
Surfer could only respond with a genuine smile, "No matter what happens, it's always a pleasure to be battling alongside you, Lows! Besides, I haven't given up yet."
"...If you haven't, then your Trainer won't either." I smiled, "Surfer, Water Gun!"
With the weather and ability buffs, Surfer released a powerful stream of water from his mouth towards the Alakazam. However, despite all the efforts we had given in this battle, the Mega Alakazam in front of us just seemed so… invincible, indomitable. It still remained standing strong after Surfer's attempt to declare his final stand.
"I'm tired of these games, kiddo. Furoppu, let's end this with a Shock Wave attack!"
From the spoons, multiple bolts of electricity were fired towards my vulnerable starter, as one by one, the unavoidable attacks made contact with Surfer, the super effective move causing my Water type to uncontrollably cry in pain. Once the Shock Wave attack ended, so was Surfer's efforts in this battle as he inevitably laid still on the ground, his energy fully drained.
Before I could run towards my beloved starter, the Mega Alakazam decided to add salt into the wound, as it used its psychic powers to make Surfer float in the air. Before I could do anything to save Surfer, Furoppu's spoons suddenly pointed towards the direction of the sea, and Surfer was immediately launched out of the deck and crashed into the sea before disappearing from my sight.
"S-Surfer, no!" I ran towards the edge of the ship deck to try and locate Surfer, only to no avail. I then turned towards Wilson with a mix of anger and frustration.
The Willpower Leader did not seem to care about my emotions as he simply laughed, "Told ya. You mess with me, and you pay the price. With that, you're now a loser, too!"
"I'll never give up!" I yelled, "The authorities are coming soon, and there's nothing you can do about it!"
"...Which is why I gotta get rid of the nuisance in the ship now to keep going." Wilson replied, before giving a hand signal for his Alakazam to do the rest. Multiple bolts of electricity were once again formed from the five spoons, except this time, the target was me. One by one… the bolts hit me. The initial excruciating pain eventually turned into numbness, as I struggled to maintain my consciousness and my limbs felt like they were on the verge of giving out.
I tried to stay on my feet, but I was helpless as I was slowly lifted up into the air, similar to what happened with my starter just a few moments ago. My vulnerable self… was going to suffer the same fate as Surfer.
There was nothing I could do against such a strong Pokémon. Against them, humans sometimes just seemed that much weaker and insignificant.
Before my vision blurred from the powerful Shock Wave attack, I saw the same script run itself: the spoons pointed towards the same direction, before a strong force launched me off the ship as gravity forced me on a quick dive into the ocean, making me suffer the same demise as my starter.
With that, the final, temporary nuisance halting Wilson's progress was gone.
The villain of the story looked to prevail, to be the final one smiling at the end. He held his Legendary Pokémon Tracker, ready to return focus to his final goal.
I inevitably sank deeper and deeper into the sea, my condition not allowing me to show any resistance as my breathing became gradually more difficult.
As if it was a calling from the heavens, my past memories started displaying right in front of my eyes, as if there was a projector that suddenly spawned out of nowhere.
I saw the time I picked my starter, Surfer with Cassie and Disc, my two childhood friends.
The tournament match between Regis and I at Verdanturf Town, which suppressed his arrogance and marked the start of a new friendship.
Me inspiring Sip to begin his own Pokémon Trainer journey, and giving him the final push to aim for his dreams along with his parents' unconditional love and support.
My reunion with my sister, Charmaine, and reigniting our sibling bond after the stubborn, unpleasant separation forced by my beloved sister to continue honing her path forward.
Disc's Pokémon Egg hatching after the incident at Meteor Falls and the brief reunion of the Kanto trio, and him naming his Torchic Starlight.
Harry staring at his former Treecko, and my current Grovyle at Dewford Town, before the cold-blooded Trainer declared his change of heart for the better.
The Pokélympics Celebration Event, where every one of my Pokémon, especially Power, performed exceptionally and helped my Fighting type regain his dying confidence.
The stargazing event and the talk I had with Regis and Winona after my recovery from sickness, which left me a strong impression towards the Flying type specialist.
There were many more events that I did not get to mention, but they were all precious memories that I wished to cherish forever.
But perhaps, I can't do that for much longer anymore.
As my consciousness continued to fade, the memories suddenly shifted towards my Pokémon's side. I emotionally felt like tearing up when I saw the past encounters I had with my Pokémon, one by one.
Ziggs.
"There's no such thing as weak Pokémon, only irresponsible trainers. I understand if you want to have better options for yourself, but you still shouldn't insult any Pokémon like that. They didn't deserve it."
"Who do you think you are to give me advice? Only weaklings would train a Zigzagoon!"
"Oh, is that so?" I shook my head before walking towards Zigzagoon and crouched in front of it.
"I'm sorry, Harry. It seems like I'm the weakling you're talking about." I said as I approached the wild Zigzagoon, before taking out a Pokéball and asked the golden question.
"Zigzagoon, wanna join my team? I think you would fit well in my team."
Zigzagoon's eyes sparkled at my invitation. Assuming that it was more than willing to join, I threw a Pokéball at the Normal type. The Pokéball shook three times, and Zigzagoon was caught in succession.
Welcome to the team, Zigzagoon.
I sent out Zigzagoon and said, "Let's call you Ziggs from now on." The male Tiny Raccoon Pokémon nodded, loving his new nickname.
Grace.
After the commotion caused by an irresponsible Trainer trying to catch a wild Ralts, the Psychic type fortunately recovered in just a few hours. I walked out of the PokéCentre and went back to Route 102, before gently placing Ralts on the ground.
"Ralts, you're all recovered to head back to the wild now. Take care of yourself, alright?"
"You're going to leave now?" The Ralts looked disappointed hearing that.
"Yeah, we gotta continue our adventure in the Hoenn region. We'll see you another time, Ralts."
"Wait… I initially teleported away from you not just because I was startled by the sudden presence, I was also unsure whether I should join a team after living in the wild for quite a while now. But seeing what you did... gave me the desire to battle like your two Pokémon." She continued with a smile on her face, "I trust you, Lows. I would like to join your team."
"Are you sure about it?"
"I'm sure. I don't usually regret my decisions, despite this being a big one. I'm sure this is a decision worth making in my life."
I grinned, took out a Pokéball and said, "I'll name you Grace, then. Grace, welcome to the team." Then, I lightly threw the Pokéball towards her. She gladly let herself get caught by the Pokéball, and thus, our third member on the team was on board.
I won't let you regret joining my team, Grace.
Welcome to the team.
Woody.
In the Pokémon Adoption Centre, after a heartfelt interaction between Treecko and I, two individuals with their respective traumatic memories in the past, I approached the owner at the counter, "Hey... I made up my mind. I would like to adopt a Pokémon."
"Sure, young one! I bet the Pokémon chosen would like to join you."
I then walked back into the Pokémon Room, and slowly approached Treecko and said, "Treecko, would you like to join my team?"
Treecko gasped, surprised by my decision, "A-Are you sure?"
"I've never been more sure, Treecko. Let's go on an adventure together and help each other get stronger."
Realization dawned on him that it wasn't false hope anymore, it was turning into reality: he's going to join a new Trainer.
He finally looked up towards me, and gave me a nod with determination on his face.
"...Welcome to the team, Woody." I nicknamed him, which he seemed to be content about, and caught him with my Pokéball, officially having this Grass type Pokémon in my team.
Power.
After the Machop was released by Harry and had a series of unfortunate events strike him, he was luckily found without severe injuries as we left the PokéCentre in Verdanturf Town.
After a brief conversation with the Machop, he sadly announced his farewell. In front of me was a Machop, about to return back to the wild while being scared about what the future held. At that moment, I knew what I had to do.
I'll be the one to give him a better future.
"Machop… I would like you to join my team."
"R-Really?" The timid Pokémon was shocked by my offer, "B-But... I'm not a good battler."
"That's what Harry told you, right? I know you have the potential, you just need the right Trainer who can work along with you as teammates instead of one who treats you like a tool." I smiled, reassuring him, "You can try battling with me and see how it goes."
The Machop still looked slightly hesitant, worried that my Pokémon did not see this the same way I did. Fortunately, his worries instantly faded as soon as my Pokémon welcomed and encouraged the move with only positive words.
And finally, that gave Machop the final push to give me a nod of approval, "I... would like to give another try, Lows. Thanks for accepting me into your team."
I smiled and took out a Pokéball, nicknaming the male Machop, "Welcome to the team, Power."
Machop lightly smiled upon hearing the new given nickname as I threw the Pokéball towards him, hitting him lightly as he was caught in the Pokéball.
I'll give you the treatment you deserve, Power.
Thank you for believing in me.
Shadow.
After all the chaos that ensued in Mt. Pyre, we were finally allowed to flee from this cursed place. However, instead of relief, there was still a heavy feeling that lingered in my chest. Before leaving, Grace and I bid farewell at the wild Absol, who had a huge role in rescuing us to get out unscathed.
The sadness in Absol's eyes made the feeling inside my chest even heavier than it already was. At that moment, I knew what I needed to do.
I dashed closer towards the Absol, took out a Pokéball and said, "Absol… I feel that the battle we had with the Dusclops was special, and I think you'd fit into our team perfectly. We have very welcoming Pokémon here, so don't worry about not fitting in."
Her sad expression was no more when she realized what I was going to suggest. I continued, "Absol, would you like to join my team?"
It took her no time to reply with a calm and simple, "Yes."
"That's settled, then." I happily smiled as I threw the Pokéball towards the Disaster Pokémon, "Welcome to the team, Shadow."
Absol, now Shadow, smiled as she let herself make contact with the Pokéball. The ball captured her and shook three times with no resistance.
It was then, I finally knew the meaning behind the fortune cookie note.
Hard times lead you to meeting someone important.
In a way, all these encounters were not exactly pretty, nor were they in the best circumstances; but I was glad they happened. The encounters helped him meet such good partners in battle and irreplaceable friends.
If only our journey together can keep going for the time to come.
Finally, the projection of memories was coming to an end, which showed my first encounter with Surfer.
After Cassie's shenanigans to pick our starters blindfolded, we finally each had a Pokéball in our hand. I released the Pokémon inside the ball, as a red light beamed towards the ground. Inside the Pokéball was the Pokémon...
Squirtle. The Water type starter curiously looked around his surroundings and focused his eyes on me, which I found quite adorable. I believed that we can form a good team together.
I suggested to my friends to nickname our Pokémon, and after staring at my jolly-looking Squirtle, who also curiously exchanged looks with me, I decided to call him…
"I'll name you Surfer. How does that sound?" I smiled.
Seeing the Squirtle's positive reaction as the Water type starter gleefully jumped around the area, I knew he liked the new name.
"Congratulations on being the first member of our team, Surfer! Let's have a great time together." I exclaimed and gestured to give Surfer a gentle fistbump, which he happily accepted.
The starter who went through every single second of my journey in Hoenn. No matter any obstacle or hardship, he always had a positive outlook and stuck with me until the very end.
I smiled.
I was glad that in my potential final moments, these were the memories that showed up in my mind. The best memories of my entire life.
Everyone, thank you.
If I have another one hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Lows Landerson again, every single time.
So I can meet you guys and relive the memories… again and again.
I love you all.
Thank you all for everything.
With that, the last bit of my consciousness was on the verge of disappearing, and the last thing I could see was a blurry silhouette that gradually became larger and larger as it looked to approach me.
And finally, everything around me turned into nothingness.
