The group was given some time to come to terms with all that they previously watched and they calmed down a bit, but it was just that. None of them were going to be prepared for what they were going to witness in the season three finale. Raider had warned them many times over of this season and now they were seeing why.
This was the season finale, they knew that everything was going to go down the drain in this episode, which is exactly why Raider had given them an unlimited supply of tissues for the episode.
As they all got situated in their seats with each of them having their own personal tissue box, Raider asked if they were ready to continue or if they needed a few more minutes. They responded that they were ready and began to mentally prepare to see what their future will become.
(Volume 3 Intro)
Flashes of fire appeared all around the vault as Cinder and Ozpin engaged each other in combat.
Cinder slid across the floor, lava being left in her trail. She creates pieces of glass projectiles that Ozpin destroys by using extreme speed.
The group didn't comment or cheer as they watched the two fight. This wasn't a battle between classmates or other school students like it was in the Vytal Festival, this was a fight of survival and who will come out on top will predict what will happen next.
They were hoping to the Gods that it was Professor Ozpin that comes out on top.
Professor jabs the girl repeatedly with his cane before launching her back. She pauses midair, creating a sphere of fire around her with the maiden powers. Professor Ozpin creates a green shield around himself that he uses as protection to get closer as Cinder releases a large blast of energy. Both power combining emanates a massive ball of light.
The kids gasped, did Professor Ozpin win? Did he do it? They all knew it was merely wishful thinking as there was still a large amount of the episode left.
"That's it, everybody on board! This is a mandatory evacuation!" Professor Port shouts as an airship docks to take the remaining students to safety.
"A safe zone has been established in Vale, please, remain calm and listen to Atlas Personnel!" Dr. Oobleck adds as the students board.
Weiss covers her mouth with a hand, shocked, as Ruby comes running up to the girl from behind. Zwei lets out a bark, making Weiss turn around. "Oh, I found you!" Ruby shouts as she takes hold of Weiss' hands. The girl was about to ask Ruby where she's been but Ruby cuts her off.
"Off taking care of Torchwick." Ruby attempts with a nervous chuckle, but no was finding any of this funny.
"Don't worry, I'm fine! What's going on?" Weiss looks down, making Ruby confused. "What is it?"
Weiss steps out of the way. The scene Ruby finds is nothing short of devastating. Blake and Yang lie next to one another, Yang's right arm, or what's left of it, is tied up, the bottom of the bandages red.
Blake rests a hand on Yang's left, "I'm sorry…" Tears brim Blake's eyes as she holds where Adam stabbed her. Ruby only reaches out an arm for her sister. "I'm so sorry…"
"Yang…" Ruby's voice is but a whisper.
Tears were streaming down her face, "That's all I do?! Not run up to my sister, or give her a massive hug?! All I do is barely reach out an arm and quietly say her name?!" Ruby beating herself up for the lack of reaction from her future self.
"Ruby…" Yang places a hand on her sister's shoulder.
Ruby wanted to swipe it away, "And why are you so calm right now, you lose your arm!" They all knew Ruby was just overwhelmed from everything they watched in the past few episodes, she didn't mean any anger towards Yang.
It was just hard, she's the youngest one here even if it was just by two years, it's still affecting her greatly.
Yang brings her sister into a strong hug as the tears already begin to flow from the girl. Ruby tries to push herself deeper into her sister's arms.
Sun tells Weiss and Ruby that Yang is going to be okay, and that they already have a ship that's going to take them all to Vale. Nora jumps in, telling Sun that Jaune and Pyrrha are still missing, she groans as she tries to get up. This information brings Ruby worry.
"Look guys, that giant grimm keeps circling the school. Even the White Fang are pulling out! We have to go…now!" Sun tells his friends, pointing to Beacon's tower.
"Even so, we're not going to leave them behind!" Nora yells at the boy, "They're our friends, and we aren't going to leave without them!"
Ren agrees with a firm nod, "They're a part of our team."
Ren grunts as he tells the boy that they aren't leaving. Sun looks at both Blake and Yang while Weiss looks down at a loss. "I'll find them," Ruby says, her expression hardening, "I'll find them, and I'll bring them back."
"No!" Weiss speaks up, " We will find them. Watch after Blake and Yang. We'll be back!"
The two look partners give each other a look, Weiss giving Ruby a firm nod. She does the same albeit with a bit messier.
Sun shouts that they better be, but muttering under his breath that the two are idiots.
Weiss scoffs as Ruby turns around and gives the boy a glare. They are not idiots for wanting to look and save their friends.
Pyrrha and Jaune rush out the tower, Jaune bending over with a huff as he tells Pyrrha that he has Glynda's number. While he searches, Pyrrha looks back at the tower.
Pyrrha knew what she was going to do before it was even directly said.
"Pyrrha, what was all of that?" Before Jaune could get an answer, a loud boom resounded underground. Cinder was using her maiden powers to blast her way through the elevator shaft.
The students loudly gasped. Ozpin is…dead?
"He can't be gone, he's the headmaster of our school, he can take her!" Nora yells at the screen.
The whole remained silent as they now began to mourn their headmaster.
Jaune solemnly whispers the man's name. "There is no time," Pyrrha says as she looks at the ground with greater resolve, "Go, get to Vale and call for help!"
"Huh, what are you gonna do?" Pyrrha looking up at the tower is all Jaune needed.
"Pyrrha no!"
"We can't lose you too!"
Reactions spread all throughout the room.
Pyrrha knew it was crazy, but if there was a chance for all her friends and the people to be safe, she was going to take it.
"Pyrrha!" Pyrrha was pulled out of her head by Jaune, by her friends eying her with looks of despair, they knew what she was trying to do. It might not have happened yet for them, but they were going to stop her, this was one of the many reasons they were brought here, to change the future.
This is one of those things she knew her friends were determined to change, just like a lot of things that's happened. Penny, Yang's arm, and now her.
But…Raider also told them that some of the things they watch…they needed to happen. It pained Pyrrha to think about this now, when this is far into the future, but this must have been one of the things that needed to happen.
"No, no Pyrrha you can't… You saw how powerful she is! Pyrrha I won't let you do-" Jaune was shut by Pyrrha, who grabbed his face and smashed their lips together.
Pyrrha would have felt flustered if this were any other circumstance, but all she felt was utter heartbreak. She could feel the tears dripping down her cheeks, but she didn't bother to wipe them away.
"Raider told us that we were brought here to change the future, to prevent whatever's going to happen, from being repeated!" Jaune yells, making sure Pyrrha was looking at him, "All we've seen, all the bad things that have been shown to us? That's what we're going to stop! And that's going to include the fall of Beacon, Penny, Yang's arm, and your death!"
Jaune held everyone's attention as the screen paused, "And you are not going to tell me that this is supposed to happen, that what we're seeing, is our future, because it's not!" He shouts more directly at Raider than firmly telling Pyrrha. "We were given the chance to change our future and fix it, so don't you dare think or tell me this is what's destined to happ-" Just like on screen, Jaune was shut up as Pyrrha and his lips connected.
The two were together like that for a few moments until Pyrrha realized her mistake, her fatal mistake. "Oh my- Oh- gosh! Jaune- I, uh…I'm so sorry!" The room was frozen as they stared at the two in disbelief.
Pyrrha was now horrified, Jaune told her he needed time to understand his feelings and then she just did that out of nowhere and in the heat of the moment which totally just went against what Jaune had originally asked of her. What was wrong with her?! Why did she do that?! What on Remnant made her body think that was a good idea?!
Jaune wasn't responding, he wasn't saying or doing anything which only caused Pyrrha more internal panic the more the boy remained silent.
Out of all times for my body to go on autopilot, it had to be now?!
"Would you two need a few more minutes to ta-"
"No," Jaune finally spoke, his gaze changing from Raider to Pyrrha.
"Jaune, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that, it was out of line, and it completely went against your wishes! I am so–" It was then Jaune's turn to silence Pyrrha.
"Pyrrha…" Jaune held the girl's full attention, "You're right, I did tell you I needed time and I wanted to wait to figure my head out."
"I'm so sorry, I didn't–"
"Let me finish, please." Pyrrha gave his nod as she went quiet. "I told you I wanted to wait and figure my head out, to get things straight. And with that time, I spent it thinking, wondering. All the time we grew as friends, partners, all those moments we have all spent as a team together. As well as having rewatched a few of those moments themselves, I have come to a conclusion."
Their friends really felt they shouldn't be here right now.
"Pyrrha Nikos…I do have feelings for you."
Everyone was speechless. Sun wanted to speak up that they were doing this now, but all eyes shot glares at him, daring him to say something. The two of them needed to have this conversation because guess from the last one they had a bit ago, it was a start but there was no actual closure between the two of them. And this is exactly what they need.
"I guess…I guess those feelings were just blinded, like they were locked away by other feelings that were a simple fantasy. Something that you knew was unattainable but you tried to reach for it anyways." Jaune let a pause sit before he continued, "I thought over all our times together and recalled and recounted every warm butterfly feeling I got when it was caused by you. It was the same as those childish daydreams I had of Weiss, but they were always more intense." Jaune felt a twinge of embarrassment when admitting that, but what he needed to say was more important.
"I feel like this with no one else but you Pyrrha, and I also thank you for waiting."
Though the two were pushed into this conversation, it has now just happened to be their small beacon of hope through the disaster of a finale that this episode is already becoming.
"So, what I'm trying to get to is Pyrrha… will you…" Jaune now realized how truly hard this one question was. His mind was telling him to abort and that Jaune had already said enough, but his heart was telling him to just fuck it.
"Pyrrha, will you…"
The girl sat with baited breath as her mouth was slightly ajar with more than reddened cheeks.
"When this is all over, wouldyoumaybeliketogotodinnerwithmesometime?" His finishing words were rushed, but she knew exactly what he was trying to say.
"I would love to Jaune…" Pyrrha answered, wiping the tears from her eyes.
The two moved closer together, willing to enjoy this happy moment as long as they can before everything goes down the drain.
Jaune wraps his arm around Pyrrha's waist, melting into the kiss. It's soon broken as Pyrrha apologizes, using her semblance to push Jaune into a nearby locker.
Jaune pleads for Pyrrha to stop, but she doesn't listen, typing a coordinate into the locker and letting it go. She then rushes back into the tower, stepping inside the broken elevator.
Using her polarity she launches herself higher and higher.
Weiss and Ruby are rushing to the school when Weiss gets a call from Jaune. She asks where he is but he doesn't answer that question, "Weiss, please, you have to stop her!" Weiss is confused as Jaune doesn't specify, "Pyrrha! She's going after that woman, on the top of the tower! She doesn't stand a chance!" Both Ruby and Weiss look at the tower. Weiss asks what Jaune is talking about and asks where he is. "Don't worry about me!" He screams through the scroll, "Please, you have to save Pyrrha…"
Weiss tells the boy that they will and asks another question, but Jaune throws down his scroll in despair, effectively breaking it.
"Jaune…Jaune!" Weiss shouts but she doesn't get an answer. Ruby and Weiss' attention are pulled to the Wyvern that circles the tower, creating more grimm underneath. Ruby gets out Crescent Rose, telling her partner she has a plan. "You always do," Following her lead she brings out Myrtenaster.
"What's your insane plan this time?" Weiss asks with a smirk to her partner. Ruby simply shrugs, they'll just have to wait and see.
Cinder walks through the steam from the elevator and to Ozpin's window, watching the chaos ensue, and telling the Wyvern that this is its home now.
"How and why isn't that thing killing her?!" Nora screams at the TV.
Cinder emanates fire from her hand, but it goes out when she hears the elevator. It gives a small ding, releasing Akouo, Milo, and Pyrrha who throws herself at the women. Akouo was used as both a shielding device, for Cinder, and an object used to gain a fighting stance, Pyrrha.
Cinder levitates from the ground, using her fire. Using her new maiden powers, she sends great amounts of energy towards Pyrrha. A massive blast of flame is sent in her direction to which she blocks with Akouo, using it to both protect and advance. Pyrrha goes to stab Cinder with Milo, but the woman simply takes hold of it, shocking the Beacon student. Blasting Pyrrha in the stomach, she is slammed into the wall.
All her friends sit tense, hoping that Pyrrha can hold her own until Weiss and Ruby make it to her to help.
Cinder rockets herself towards the girl but with brute strength and reflexes Cinder is swung and brought to the ground. Though the Fall Maiden rights herself with quick movements. Cinder is slashed in the stomach after being bodied by Pyrrha. With power, Pyrrha is brought into the air.
Cinder blocks a thrown Akouo and Milo, leaving an opening for Pyrrha to tackle the women. The two are spun around, resulting in a blast of energy. As the smoke evades, Cinder is held in a chokehold.
Finally, something to be happy about.
"Go Pyrrha!"
"Take her down!"
"Beat her ass!"
All shouts were different but they were all cheering for her friend.
Cinder's hands are grasped onto Milo, and with her maiden powers, she slowly heats up the metal. Outside, the Wyvern lets out a terrible cry as it flies away from Beacon before coming back with intent in destroying the tower. Milo is broken from the heat and Cinder takes the opening to release her power at the same moment the Wyvern crashes into the tower, ruining it.
"Pyrrha!" All her friends shout as they watch debris crumble and fall to the ground.
Broken pieces of the tower crash into the ground, leaving the roof open. Pyrrha slowly crawls to Akouo but stops as Cinder is above her. Looking around, Pyrrha uses the fallen metal, smashing into Cinder, and giving her enough time to grab Akouo.
Pyrrha throws Akouo, though Cinder merely deflects it. While she is distracted with the flying projectile, Cinder takes notice of all the floating gears. Using her semblance, Pyrrha brings all of them down on her.
It isn't enough as Cinder uses her maiden powers to blast all of them away, with one of the gears making Pyrrha slam into the wall, draining all her aura away.
"We gotta hurry!" Ruby shouts from below as her and Weiss take care of the grimm. Weiss stops, creating glyphs that line up against the tower, telling her partner and leader that she can do this.
Come on me, your friend needs you! Ruby shouts in her head, hoping she's able to make it in time.
Using her semblance and Weiss' glyph, Ruby runs up the side of the tower.
Come on! Ruby screams, wishing she would run faster. She had a speed semblance for pete's sake!
Pyrrha threw Akouo just as Cinder shot an arrow. It didn't matter as the arrow changed its shape to surpass the shield.
Pyrrha fell to the ground as the arrow landed in her ankle. She tried to get up but it was no use. "It's unfortunate you were promised a power that was never truly yours," Cinder begins, slowly walking around Pyrrha.
No, no, no, no, no! Ruby, please! Jaune yells in his head.
Cinder kneels down, lifting Pyrrha's head by her chin."But take comfort in knowing that I will use it in ways you could never have imagined."
Pyrrha's final words, " Do you believe in destiny?"
"Yes."
With having a closer look at the woman, was she crying? Why?
Fabricating a bow and arrow out of flames, Ruby runs up the last lengths of the tower. Firing the arrow, it goes through everything. Ruby watches as Pyrrha lets out pained gasps from the piercing arrow.
"NO! PYRRHA!" Jaune's cry is painful, unlike any other. Pyrrha herself holds him tighter, reassuring him that she was with them, and that this won't happen. She promises him.
Everyone else wasn't doing any better as they were using all the tissues.
Pyrrha looked up at the screen as a single tear cascaded down her cheek, her other self knowing the risk but…other people still got hurt, her friends, innocent students, and people were still killed!
Was her death seriously all for naught?!
Out of nowhere, a bright flash of light spread throughout the room, blinding all of them as Ruby cried out for her friend.
When the light subsided, everyone looked at each other, not having a clue of what just happened.
Ruby still sat bawling but was brought into a tight hug from her team. They would be asking questions later though.
So this was their future, all despair, loss, and agony. Was there no hope for any of them? No light at the end of the tunnel?
I guess it appears that light was just an oncoming train.
Cinder places a hand on Pyrrha's head, disintegrating her entire body, leaving only Pyrrha's headpiece to fall to the ground as Cinder steps away.
The cries only became louder as they began to mourn for their friend. In tears, Nora shouted, "Why do that?! It was so unnecessary!"
All Cinder did was add pounds of salt to the already large wound.
Cinder watched all of this unfold. Then, she broke. "Pyrrha!" She cried, creating a light so blinding it affects all that's around her, Cinder, the Wyvern.
That same light, what was it?
Everything was white. "It's alright, I gotcha kiddo, I gotcha." "Nothing, just turn it off! Without the CCT there's no point." Qrow's voice was the only thing they heard as the screen remained blank.
Another voice pipes in, "Communication down across the entire kingdom, no way to contact the outside world, and Ozpin is still missing."
Dad… Both the sisters were happy to hear another comforting voice.
They don't know that….
Tai tells Qrow that this is bad. Qrow sorrowfully agrees.
With something, Ruby slowly wakes up in her bed, her dad sleeping in a nearby chair. Ruby's yawn is what grabs Tai's attention as he rushes over to his daughter's side, exclaiming she's awake.
Ruby asked what happened. "Your uncle Qrow found you, unconscious, he got you out of there though, he brought you home safe."
"Wait, Yang! Is she alright?!"
Tai looked down more at the bed, "She's uhh, she's gonna be alright. I think she's just…I think it's just gonna take some time for her to get used to things. She's too strong to let this stop her."
Yang imagined her other self was taking things awfully and that her dad was simply sugar coating things Ruby. Right now, she was still having a bit of a tough time coming to terms with a lot of things. Her arm especially.
Yang just hoped…she didn't say anything that she'll regret. She knew Ruby was going to come and talk to her.
Tai's just glad to have his girls back. "What happened to the school and Vale? Were they able to clear out the grimm?" Tai tells his daughter that things at Vale are under control, but the school's situation isn't as simple.
"That thing, whatever it is, doesn't seem to be dead. Don't get me wrong, you did a number on it, but it's not disappearing, it's kinda…frozen."
"What did I do to it?" Ruby mumbles.
"I know that doesn't sound too bad, but it keeps attracting more grimm to the school." Tai tries to reason, not really wanting to give the girl false hope.
"I did what? You said I did a number on it, what do you mean?" Tai doesn't know how to answer that question, telling Ruby that it can be discussed at a different time and that everything's a mess right now.
That doesn't answer my question, Ruby pouts.
Qrow comes into the room, commenting that everything is always a mess, drinking the last drops from his canteen. Tai becomes defensive after Qrow afters for him and Ruby to have a minute. "Tai, please," Hearing this, Tai begrudgingly gets up, but not before telling Ruby that he's glad she's alright, kissing her atop the head.
Qrow pulls up a chair and takes a seat, asking how Ruby's feeling. "Uh, kinda hurt…all over," Was Ruby's response.
"That makes sense, after what you did."
"What did I do??" All Qrow was doing was raising more and more questions for the girl.
"You guys keep saying that, that I did something. What are you talking about?" Qrow asks Ruby what the last thing she remembers. "I ran up the side of the tower, and when I got to the top," Ruby stops to gasp as tears fill her eyes, "Pyrrha, is she…?"
"She's gone…"
I might not be a reality yet, but just hearing that it was a reality elsewhere felt like a knife was being stabbed into their heart.
"I-I-I got to the top, and then I saw Pyrrha and Cinder," Her voice full of anger at just saying her name, clenching the sheets, "And then everything went white." Qrow asks if there was anything else. "I remember…my head hurting."
"The night you met Ozpin, what was the first thing he said to you?"
"It was that I had silver eyes, but what does that have to do with anything?" Ruby asks, wiping her own tears away with one of the tissues.
"I don't know, I think it was something about-"
Qrow cuts her off, "Silver eyes." Ruby turns her head to look at her uncle. "That's an extremely rare trait." Ruby wonders what that has to do with anything. "You're special Ruby, and not in the 'daddy loves his special angel' kind of way. You're special the same way your mom was."
Mom? Ruby now wondered what this had to do with her mom.
"Remnant's full of legends and stories, some of them true, some made up, but there's one Oz told me from a very long time ago, back before huntsmen, before kingdoms. It was said that those born with silver eyes were destined to lead the life of a warrior. You see, the creatures of grimm, the most fearsome monsters mankind had ever encountered, were afraid of those silver eyed warriors. They were the best of the best."
Ruby reached up a hand to one of her eyes as Qrow spoke of the warriors. Shocked at the thought that grimm were afraid of something.
"They were the best of the best, it was said that even a single look from one of these fighters could strike a grimm down."
I have the power to do that? Ruby thought.
"Heh, it's a ridiculous story."
"But, you think that I might be…"
"Well, a giant monster is currently frozen on top of Beacon tower, and you're here, safe in bed." Qrow finishes, getting up from his seat to go look out the window.
"Wait, wait, how did you know what Ozpin said to me, the night we met?"
Qrow is silent for a few moments. "All those missions I go on, all the times I'm away in some far off place, it's been for Ozpin. But he's missing now, something's been set in motion. With Oz gone, I'll have to pick up where he left off."
"Then what can I do?" Ruby pipes in, "If I'm so special, then maybe I can help! Right?"
"Yeah, with maybe a little training with my eyes and some help from friends, I can help him!" Ruby says optimistically.
"We all can!" Nora adds.
Qrow lets out a sigh, "You really wanna help? Then get some rest, you're in no condition to go anywhere right now. Besides, our enemy's trail leads all the way to Haven, that'd be quite a trip for a pipsqueak like you. Catch ya' later kiddo." Qrow exits the room, leaving Ruby to sit with her thoughts.
One pair of Ember Celica rests on the bedside whilst Yang stares emotionless out the window. Ruby walks in the room, calling her sister's name. She goes to leave when she receives no response, but.
"Ruby…" Ruby stops, looking at her sister as Yang now faces the girl with tears in her eyes.
Ruby rushes in to hug her sister, telling her she's glad she's okay. "But I'm not." Ruby lets her sister go, "It's all gone. The school, Penny, Pyrrha, and…"
"Yang, where are Weiss and Blake?"
"Weiss' father…came for her." Ruby's confused by this.
Ugh, of course he did… Weiss scowls at the screen.
Blake knew what Yang was going to say about what she did. Blake knew exactly what she did and she was gonna go.
After everything that they've watched, Blake knew it was for the best that she did.
They'll be a lot safer without me. It'll be better for them.
"No one outside of Vale knows what happened here. Before the tower fell, the last thing people saw was Atlas attacking innocent people and grimm destroying the city. Everyone's scared, no one knows who to trust, so Weiss' father came to take her back to Atlas, where he thinks it's safe. She's gone."
"What about–"
"And Blake ran!" Ruby was interrupted by Yang's shout.
Blake knew Yang and the others were looking at her, she feared if she looked at her friends, she'd see the hurt and betrayal in their eyes. The hurt in her eyes.
"Sun saw her go. After we got to the city she just…ran!" Ruby stutters, wanting a why, "I don't know…and I don't care."
I'm so sorry Yang, but I know it's for the better. Blake still avoids eye contact with her partner as she knows she's being given side glances.
Ruby attempts to speak, reasoning with her sister that there has to be something but Yang cuts her off, "No there doesn't! Sometimes bad things just happen Ruby."
"So what do we do now?"
"You can do whatever you want, I'm gonna lie here." Yang's voice was full of defeat. Nothing was going to cheer her up.
Ruby heads to the door. "I love you." Ruby gets no response.
Words wouldn't be able to describe how much that silence affected Ruby. How much it hurt her to not hear her sister say it back.
Ruby looks down at the floor, then to her sister who appeared that she wasn't fully present. Her mind on something else.
Ruby felt a comforting hand on her arm. It was Weiss, attempting to give her a reassuring smile as she can understand what Ruby is feeling. She's had those same feelings too.
From outside the window, Yang wipes the tears away as a single autumn leaf falls to the ground.
Snow covers the grass, signaling winter. Ruby closes the front door, all dressed with Crescent Rose on her back.
Where is Ruby going? Yang's thoughts are dragged back to the present as she sees Ruby leaving the house.
Jaune gives Ruby a greeting. "Hey Jaune, Haven's a long way to go."
"I know, that's the only way we have."
"And you're sure you wanna come along?"
"The journey will be perilous," Ren says as he has Nora standing next to him, "And whether we'll find answers at the end is entirely uncertain."
"But we wouldn't be here if we weren't up for it," Nora adds with Magnhild on her shoulder. Then Ruby tells the group that they're going to get started. With those words they begin their long journey.
Ruby and the selective group watch them leave with a smile. They would like to see this and think of it as a fresh start, a new beginning to the future ahead.
" A smaller, more honest soul. It's true that a simple spark can ignite hope, breathe fire into the hearts of weary, the ability to derive strength from hope," While the female voice speaks, Tai comes into Ruby's room with a breakfast tray. But it falls to the ground with a crash as he runs out of the room after seeing the note on the bed.
The group was still confused on who this voice belonged to. It was the same voice they heard back in volume 1 in the very first episode along with Professor Ozpin's.
"Is undoubtedly mankind's greatest attribute. Which is why I will focus all of my power to snuff it out."
"Alrighty, so this woman, whoever she is, is evil and against us," Nora says, stating the obvious.
Tai rushes past Yang's room as the girl is looking out the window. On a tree branch is a raven. It flies off as the woman continues to speak. " How does it feel? Knowing that all your time and effort has been for nothing. That your guardians have failed you." All sorts of grimm continue to invade Beacon, making it their new home. " That everything you built will be torn down before your very eyes."
Glynda tries her best to repair Vale, but it doesn't seem to be working. " Your faith in mankind was not misplaced. When banded together, unified by a common enemy, they are a noticeable threat."
Blake bounds across the rooftops. She takes one look at the school before carrying on. " But divide them, place doubt in their minds and any semblance of power they once had will wash away."
Weiss sits in an airship, next to her is her father to which she looks at. " Of course they won't realize it at first, like you they'll cling to their fleeting hope, their aspirations, but this is nearly the first move." Ruby makes one final stop, her mom's grave, before truly sending off with her friends.
" So you send your guardians, your huntsmen, your huntresses, and when they fail and you turn to your smaller soul. Know that you send her to the same pitiful demise." In a new area, wandering up the steps, a woman stands, looking over her land. "This is the beginning of the end, Ozpin. And I can't wait to watch you burn. "
"Who the hell is that?" Sun blurts out, yelling what everyone was thinking.
"How does she know him?" Weiss asks.
How many secrets is that man keeping from everyone?
The screen goes black and the volume's credits roll on the screen.
All was still around the room and it scared them to no end to know that a woman like that existed on the same planet with them.
She knew Ozpin, her eyes were glowing red like the grimm, her skin held black cracks all over, and she was in some kind of odd place.
The main question that they were wondering: Who the fuck was she?
"And that was the end of volume 3. Now, before we even begin to move to volume 4, I'm gonna give you all a looooooooong break. So I reckon what I am going to do is teleport us to a different universe or area, get you guys out in the sun, maybe hang out for a bit and get your minds off of all of this. Let it be a bit of a therapeutic trip."
That trip was exactly what they needed, so, letting them have a few seconds heads up, Raider snaps her fingers and they've all been teleported elsewhere.
Raider also figured that a certain some two could use this as an opportunity to get some thoughts out, instead of them quite literally waiting a volume or so into having their emotions out in the open.
