The Volcano Path

While it was dangerous Brad still chose to take on task to achieve before he made it to the town of Jackson on the other side of the volcano. He decided to take three people with him. Hayden, Michael, Buster and Kimber were coming behind them at a later time. Now the people that came with Brad were not very good at battling. They were to be escorted from one Trainer Club to the Trainer Club in Jackson. Brad also said that he was going to defeat two Pokémon that got unruly on the Volcano Path. Brad brought his Charizard, some water types, and ground types to be the most effective to get to the other side.

"Well, hello I am Mark, and this is Chandler and Michelle." said Mark. Brad said "I am Brad I am going to be your escort across the Volcano Path. Any reason that you are not flying over today?" Chandler laughed and said, "Well I would like to see the volcano, and all the Pokémon on the route." Michelle said, "I do not have any flying Pokémon and this was set to leave at a convenient time." "Fantastic we are going to head to the Volcano Path. Do you have any water type Pokémon, or ground type Pokémon?" said Brad. The party had two Squirtle, and a Krabby. As for the ground type Pokémon they had one Sandshrew. With this information Brad went up to the Volcano Path with Mark, Chandler and Michelle.

Now when they got to the Volcano Path the first thing that happened was that they were supposed to find a wild Magmar. The Magmar was challenging every person that tried to pass the path. The Magmar jumped out and blew a flamethrower attack through the air. Now Michelle and Chandler went to throw out their Squirtle, but Brad put his hand up. Then threw out his Blastoise. Then Blastoise guns emerged from its shell, and Blastoise shot a wicked hydro pump at Magmar. This move was weakened by the fact that volcano was filled with heat. Now Michelle and Chandler had an idea and they both used their Squirtles to use rain dance. Now hydro Pump was not losing any of its power when attacking. Then a swirl of fire wrapped around Magmar, and it used flame wheel on Blastoise. Then Magmar used two fire punches after the flame wheel made contact. Blastoise shot a water gun attack at Magmar. Then Magmar motioned its hand from pointing away from Blastoise to pointing to Blastoise in a u formation. This caused lava to come from the ground and engulf Blastoise. The Lava chilled as soon it hit Blastoise body. Fortunately Blastoise had one gun out that hit Magmar directly. While the Magmar was weak Brad threw a Pokeball at it. Brad caught the wild Magmar but there was no time for celebration because the volcano erupted at that moment.

Then Brad started to fight the volcano. Brad had known this was a possibility. All water Pokémon were on deck to chill the lava to a solid form. While the Rhydon was breaking up the rocks to stop the lava flow under the solid portions. Sandshrew had been taught earthquake attack beforehand and shook the earth, and the lava fell in the crevice that it had made. Now when Brad was sure that neither town was going to take on lava he decided to retreat towards Jackson. Now as they were retreating a great lava eruption happened and trapped Michelle behind the group. Brad rode Blastoise back over the lava. He grabbed Michelle and they flew back over the lava together. Brad then questioned his rational because he could have just used his Charizard. It was still more dramatic to ride Blastoise over though.

Then Brad saw a man that was trapped on a ledge. He was being attacked by multiple Pokémon. He looked like he was not supposed to be here. He was in a business suit and looked more like he was going to a board meeting than hike a dangerous path. Brad flew up to the cliff. Then used his Poliwrath and Blastoise to deter the Pokémon from getting any closer. Unfortunately for him they still attacked. One Rhydon ran close to them and Poliwrath knocked it off the cliff with hydro pump. The Rhydon was fine when it hit the ground, but gave up attacking the businessman. Then Blastoise took out two Graveler with one surf attack. Now the two had to fight five Charmeleon to save the businessman. Instantly Poliwrath had one in a. wrestling hold with submission. Then Blastoise used water gun on two Charmeleon that fell of the cliff because of the attack then they evolved. The two Charizard flew off after being thrown off the cliff. The Charmeleon that Poliwrath was fighting fainted and Poliwrath used that Charmeleon to knock out the other two with a seismic toss of the knocked out one towards the other two. Finally, all the Pokémon were defeated. Brad got Charizard to fly them and the businessman down to the party.

Now Brad had to find one more Pokémon that was fighting every person that was coming this way. Now Brad was not to worried about this Pokémon because the eruption that had taken place behind him. Now that Pokémon did not feel the same way about him. A Charizard flies down and attack the party. Now it was clear that this was the mother of the Charmeleon that had been attacking the businessman. Brad used his Rhydon to fight the Charizard. When Charizard landed before the group it was met with a Stone Edge attack. Charizard fired back with a fire blast attack that hurt Rhydon but was not all that effective. Then Rhydon started to hurl rocks towards Charizard with rock throw. Then Charizard used it wings to fly close to Rhydon. It used its claws to use a dragon claw attack. The barrage of dragon claw attack threw Rhydon off the attack. Then Rhydon used a attack that was both for attack and defense. Rhydon used stone edge on Charizard. This put a pillar of stone in between Rhydon and Charizard. While nailing Charizard for a massive blow. Then Charizard flew up, and Brad thought that the battle was over. Then Charizard swooped down in a pillar of fire and wind for a flying flare blitz attack. Then Rhydon jumped back right before it was hit. While it was jumping back it raised its arms for one last stone edge attack. This knocked out the Charizard and Brad captured it to send to Professor Cypress. He knew that Professor Cypress could straighten this Pokémon out and use it to start off future trainers of the Manji Region. Little things like this could help the generations of Manji throughout the future to come.

Then they finally made it to Jackson safe. They instantly went to the Trainer Club, and all took very cold showers. After that they came together for one final goodbye. "Hey thanks again for taking us through the Volcano Path. We would have never made it all the way through without you. That Magmar or that Charizard would have knocked out all of our Pokémon with no second thoughts." Said Michelle. Then Chandler said "I mean we fought a volcano with you. I mean how is that even possible. We survived the eruption because of your powerful Pokémon. We should probably tell the Scott of Jackson about the eruption. They probably need to get the Pokémon Rangers out there immediately." Mark was just walking up at the moment. It was clear that he had not taken a shower yet. Mark said "Yeah I just took care of that. I thought that it was important enough to do before the shower." Then they all laughed and went their separate ways. Brad went to rest some more in the Trainer Club for the rest of the day.

The Boy Who Cried Kadabra

Now after that long day Brad had gone directly to bed. When Brad was asleep a Kadabra snuck into the room where Brad was sleeping. Brad was given a vision that night. Brad would later think that this vision was just a dream, but it was actually the truth of what happened to this Kadabra, and how the Pokémon Kadabra came to be.

The vision started following a young boy that was abandoned at the local orphanage. At the orphanage the sages would take care of children and raise them to be spiritual them selves. Now this boy had powers that were not explained in that day. The boy could bend spoons with their minds. He could also control the psychic type Pokémon that would come around every once and a while. They were not worried but he started to have the ability to control the other kids in the orphanage. Neither the less he was a very pious kid. He was devoted to the spirits. He wanted to help the people to make a better tomorrow for his small village that he lived in.

The boy would always use the Pokémon to finish all of his chores and the chores of the townspeople. One day a pair of Drowzee came by and he controlled the Pokémon to sweep every single house in the village. Another time five Mr. Mime came to town right after a devastating rainstorm. The boy got the Mr. Mime to fix all the houses in the village. No one person had to little in the town because the psychic Pokémon would till the ground with ground types and the grass types. In these ways the boy was very good to the town because of his newfound psychic powers.

One day a group of rough individuals came to the village with a group of fighting type Pokémon. Now the psychic type Pokémon foreseeing the tragedy had all left the town. Now the rough trainers met with the leaders of the village and the sages. "Hey, you are going to give us an offering of food every season. If you do not, we will rampage the town and take all that we want. We will give you a day to decide whether we take the food with force or if you give it to us like all the other villages." Now the boy was violently sad that all of his psychic Pokémon friends had left the area because if there was even one there was a good chance they could run the bullies off. In his pious way he gave thanks, and prayed for safety for the coming day. Now the rough individuals were rowdy all night. They were cursing the town and telling them how bad things would be under their regime. One of the individuals boasted that he was going to starve out this village just like he had done to many other villages. Now this had bothered the boy, but it did not take away from the heavy sleep that he fell into as soon as he laid his head down to fall asleep. That night a psychic Pokémon did not appear to save the town.

When the boy rose from his slumber he felt quite funny. His psychic power had been multiplied a thousand times over. Now he walked out and saw the adults from the village about to surrender. That is when they saw him and felt the power of the Pokémon that was standing before them. Now it happened that the boy had turned into a powerful psychic Pokémon while he was asleep. The rough individuals laughed at the kid. "You think that thing is going to save you from our Pokémon. I think you better go get the food to sacrifice to our group before we absolutely destroy you. The insults started to get to the wise sages, and the leaders of the village. That is when the rough individuals screamed time up, and sent their Pokémon to attack.

The first was a wave of Machoke. They ran towards kid the first was blown back with a. psybeam attack. Then the kid grabbed three of the Machoke and held them in the air and threw them back at their trainers. Then one got past the kid, and he turned around shot it with a psybeam. While he had his back turned a Machoke tried to use dynamic punch on the back of the kid. It was stopped with a powerful psybeam attack. The kid then used confusion ray on the Machoke so that here would be tons of in fighting. The first wave of Machoke had been defeated.

Then the Mankey started to come towards the town. Now this was no problem for the kid. The Mankeys were taken up by their tails, spun around, and thrown to the Machokes. Then the Primeapes came right behind them. The kid used a psychic blast to defeat the Primeapes with quick precision. The rough individuals did not like that heir Pokémon had been defeated so easily by the kid that had turned Pokémon. "There is no way that you have already defeated our powerful fighting type Pokémon. What is that Pokémon anyway. I have never seen anything like that before. I am going to capture one of them and I am going to come back to destroy this town." Now before this could happen the kid raised the rough individuals in the air, and foced them to serve the town as sages as long as they may live.

Now the very old Kadabra had given this vision to Brad just because it felt the need to appreciate once again. When Brad awoke, he thought that is was just another dream. That was until he saw a disheveled Kadabra statue in the town. He decided to clean it up, and make the statue look nice to thank him for what he did all those years ago.

The Doubles Tournament

Now the Trainer Club was holding a doubles Tournament this day. The catch is that two trainers would have to fight together to become the dual champions of the tournament. Brad wanted to enter but he did not have a partner to enter it with. That is when Kimber came and asked him if he would like to join the tournament with her. Brad was more than glad to fight beside Kimber. The battles would have each trainer use one Pokémon. The first team to have their Pokémon knocked out of the battle would lose. The teams would have to battle four different teams to ascend to the champion spot.

Then first team that Brad and Kimber battled was a. Poliwrath and a Venasaur. Brad used his Magmar while Kimber used her Jolteon. Magmar immediately ran towards Venasaur and used a fire spin. Poliwrath went to grab Magmar with a submission attack, but Jolteon jumped on its back and used thunder. This caused the Poliwrath to be paralyzed. Then Magmar used fire blast on the Venasaur. The Venasaur did not look good from those two attacks. When it burst out a petal dance attack. This blows away the fire spin. Then Magmar used flamethrower on Venasaur. Venasaur falls down and is taken out by the pillar of fire from flamethrower. Then Poliwrath immediately puts Magmar in a submission. Then it stalled for one second because of paralysis Then Jolteon had the perfect shot to knock out Poliwrath with thunder, but Magmar was knocked out before Jolteon could zap it. Then Jolteon hit the swirl on the chest of Poliwrath to knock out Poliwrath. Brad and Kimber were advancing to the next round.

Now Brad and Kimber were forced to change Pokémon. now Brad saw the team that they were facing. The other team was covered from head to toe in green overalls with green hair to match. They looked like a loving couple, but Brad and Kimber decided to take a book by its cover. Kimber then chose to use her Flareon, and Brad decided to use his Charizard. Fortunately for Kimber and Brad they were right. The other team used a Exeggutor and a Bellsprout. Immediately Charizard soared into the air, but Bellsprout used its vines to pull Charizard down. Flareon hit Exeggutor with a fire blast attack. Instantly Flareon was nailed with a barrage of egg bomb attacks. Charizard got up from the ground, and used wing attack on Exeggutor. Bellsprout caught Flareon by the neck and lifted it into the air. Random burst of flames started to fly from the mouth of Flareon. It seemed like Kimber did not know what to do to get out of the choke hold. That is when Charizard turned around and engulfed Bellsprout with a flamethrower. This knocked out Bellsprout. Then Flareon did fire spin on Exeggutor. This forced Exeggutor to stay inside of the pillar of fire. This is when Brad and Kimber did a combo move. They both used fire blast on Exeggutor at the same time. This knocked out Exeggutor out of the battle, and Kimber and Brad advanced.

The next team was familiar faces to Kimber and Brad it was Hayden and Michael. Now Michael used his Tauros and Hayden used his strange Meowth. The Meowth could only say "Title Nine". Kimber used Vaporeon, and Brad used his Venasaur. The battle was started off with Meowth hitting a pose and running towards Vaporeon and using fury swipes. Vaporeon used water gun to get Meowth off of it. Tauros barreled towards Venasaur with a headbutt attack. Brad used a vine whip to trip Tauros and force it injury itself instead. Vaporeon used hydro pump on Meowth. Meowth hated the water and screeched a "TIIIIITLE NIIINE." Then Tauros got a devastating headbutt on Vaporeon while it was not looking. "Come on Kimber you could have easily dodged that." said Brad. Kimber said "Ugh do not give me advice Brad I will be okay." Then Vaporeon took a massive double edge attack. Then Venasaur got revenge for its partner with a whelping vine whip attack. Then Vaporeon got a water gun on the welts that the vie whip attack caused. Then Meowth cut all on Venasaur's vines with his fury swipes. Then Venasaur used razor leaf right at the whiskers of the Meowth. This knocked out the strange Meowth. Then Tauros started to run towards Vaporeon with one decisive take down to knock out Vaporeon. The problem was that Tauros also feel out because of the recoil. Brad and Kimber was allowed to go to the final round.

Before the battle Scott announced that this group of partners was the longshot for the tournament. They were both in the eight thousands in the ranking. They are the Cinderella team of this tournament. Now these two younger trainers used Beedrill and Buterfree. Kimber used her Eevee while Brad used his Mr. Mime. The battle started off with a massive Twineedle attack on Mr. Mime. Eevee went to attack Butterfree, but was thrown to the ground with a silver wind. Eevee popped up quick. Brad got a quick flash of the stone on the Eevee. It was an eviolite which gave Eevee a stat boost. Mr. Mime took out his mimed rifle and shot Beedrill with a psychic attack. Then swiftly was countered with a poison jab attack. Then Buterfree attacked Eevee. Butterfree used poison powder on Eevee. Then Eevee winced in pain when Butterfree used confusion on it. The attack from Butterfree was relentless. Beedrill kept a close fight with Mr. Mime. With the close fight Mr. Mime changed over to miming pistols to shot his psychic attacks. For every poison jab and Twineedle, Mr. Mime gave back a psychic attack. Now it was amazing that the two gave so many super effective moves. Then Beedrill knocked out Mr. mime, but Mr. Mime shot one last attack while it was falling. That psychic attack knocked out Beedrill. Then Butterfree used the last silver wind to knock out Eevee.

"Well, they have done it our Cinderella team has won the tournament. Congratulations! You are going to go way up in the rankings beating the like of two of our really good trainers." Said Scott. Then Brad saw it his rank had fallen. He was ranked four hundred sixty-two, but now he was five hundred and fifteen. "Hey, what were you doing out there? You let Eevee get absolutely dominated. You should apologize to you Pokémon for letting them get beat up like that." Kimber whimpered " I am sorry Brad. I just have not been the same since my Eevee got injured. It was injured in a battle. That was the first time I used it in battle. I gave me flashbacks. I got overwhelmed when the first attack did not land. Please forgive me." Brad said "I will forgive you, but you need to work that out. Indecisiveness could get you in a lot of trouble. Much worse it could get the people and Pokémon around you into a lot of trouble."

The Shopping Day Gone Wrong

Brad was out with Kimber shopping through the stores. They did not have much to do, and they were just enjoying the day off together. Kimber said "Brad you need to really get some new clothes. You have been wearing the same shirts, and pants all the way from Davison. We are in Jackson now. You have really been wearing everything out." Brad said "My clothes are fine I do not need anything new." Kimber insisted "Come one let me buy you something new!" Before she could decide on what to buy Brad they saw a man in a purple suit and top hat descending on the wings of a Noctowl. "BARNABAS! I am going to make sure that we capture you this time." Then Barnabas poured the growth serum in the mouth of a Poliwhirl.

The Poliwhirl grew to the size of a building. The two knew what they had to do, and were soon in the air fighting against the frantic Poliwhirl. Now the Flying Gunner chose to switch out his Pokémon this time. He did not use his Blastoise as he always did but instead chose his Venasaur. This made Brad not as quick to attacks as he usually was. Now Venasaur shot leaves at the gigantic Poliwhirl. Now Brad new to cut the damage back they would have to push the Poliwhirl back to the outskirts of town. The plan was that the Flying Gunner caught the hand of the Poliwhirl and pulled it towards the outskirts. While the Shocking Seamstress used thunderbolt to greatly weaken the Poliwhirl. This way the Poliwhirl could be moved without hurting the city. It seemed like a fool proof plan, but where was the Ranged Ranger, the Freezing Flame or even Beedrill Boy. None of the other heroes were there to even help the fight. They finally made it to the outskirts of town when the Poliwhirl used rain dance. This battle had changed from trying not to destroy cities to an environmental disaster.

The valley flooded all the Pokémon retreated, but the people were not able to evacuate at time. That is when the Ranged Ranger, The Freezing Flame, the Beedrill Kid, and even Captain Aerodactyl Man to help retreat the people to higher ground. Now the Shocking Seamstress was using this to her advantage. She kept using thunder on the Poliwhirl. This weakened it greatly, but that did not stop the Poliwhirl from raging through the valley that was quickly flooding. Then the Ranged Ranger used Venasaur to grab both of the arms of the Poliwhirl and held him back. Then the Shocking Seamstress used thunder right on the swirl of Poliwhirl. Then the Ranged Ranger swooped out in front of the Poliwhirl and went to the get the final blow on Poliwhirl. Venasaur started to charge its solar beam attack. It was taking extra time because of the torrential rain that was coming down. Now the Shocking Seamstress was taking the attention of the Poliwhirl. She would swoop down and it Poliwhirl's legs with a thunder attack. Then fly all the way up and hit the hands of the Poliwhirl. It kept it eyes on the Shocking Seamstress, but then it decided to do a hydro pump attack. The Shocking Seamstress saw this and knew that she could stop the attack with one final thunder on the Poliwrath. She then stopped and started to panic she could not let her friend get hurt, but where should she attack to get it to stop.

In that second of doubt, it happened. Poliwhirl used a massive hydro pump, and it was powered up by the torrential rain that was coming down. Dragonite, Venasaur, and Brad were all knocked out, and started to fall out of the sky. The turn of the battle caused the Shocking Seamstress to panic, and all she could do was cry. The Flying Gunner hit the water hard an was quickly being pulled under. That is when none other than Captain Aerodactyl Man swooped down and grabbed Brad and his Pokémon. It was rough trying to get the dead weight of two very heavy Pokémon to shore. Captain Aerodactyl Man found their Pokeballs on the belt of the Flying Gunner. He forced the two Pokémon back into their Pokeballs where they would be safe and took Brad to shore. Now the Shocking Seamstress was not able to battle anymore because of her great panic. She had to evacuate as well. Which left the Beedrill Kid to tie up the hands of the Poliwhirl and stick them together. Then the Freezing Flame came upon the Poliwhirl and froze the giant body into place. When the Poliwhirl was frozen it shrank back down to the normal size for a Poliwhirl. They defeated the Poliwhirl, but not without the great casualties of the valley, the houses in the valley, and even their allies.

Brad was unconscious from the hydro pump, and it was clear that he was not breathing all that well. He was taking big gasp of air. It did not look good. When Kimber found him to see if he was alright, it was clear that there was something wrong with him. She then started to freak out even more, and one of the refugees started to do CPR on Brad. The medical professionals that had just found the refugee camp that had started to form around the shore of the flooded valley. They rushed him off and that made Kimber even more she screamed "one moment one moment please Brad I…". Now Kimber sat alone she did not know what to do because there was nothing, she was told she could do. She felt like the world was on her shoulders. She also thought her friends life was going to be lost because of her reckless actions.

The Hospital

Now Brad was rushed to the emergency room. Fortunately, they were able to save his life for now, but they were not sure that they could keep him from dying any minute. Now Buster and Tyrus were patrolling the area for Barnabas because he had gotten away during the flood. The others Kimber, Michael, Hayden and Brad's Mom where all in the intensive care unit. They all waited to hear what was going to save Brad, and they all lamented that they could not do anything to help him. They took turns sitting in the room with him because it was all to much for them to taken for long periods of time.

Hayden started to speak. "How do I deal with this loss. I feel like I cannot do anything. I have to deal with the fact that Brad might die. It might be over for Brad. Please do not die Brad. Why did we have to start fighting the crime. Where were the police? How am I going to overcome the death of a friend? We cannot go on fighting crime like this if we do one of us is eventually going to die. We are not going to survive the Barnabas encounter. If we do not fight who is going to fight? I do not want to live in a world that is ran by the Bounty Hunter Squad. What if I never see Brad again. What if I never get to see his warm personality. What if I never get to see him again. What if he never comes back to this? I do not kow if I can get over the fact that my friend died. At least he would have died fighting for what is right. I just do not know if I can get over this. I do not. Know I want ot get over this. If I get over it, then I might forget him. I do not want to forget him. If I forget him it is almost worse than him dying because it is like it never happened. I do not want it to be like it never happened. Then there is the thought that might never forget that it will always be there in the back of my head insisting that I could have done something about this. It is clear that I could not have done anything." Than Hayden left the room, and was replaced by Brad's mom.

Then Brad's mom came in weeping "Eggs form Chansey, bacon from Tauros, and Oran berry juice. Eggs form Chansey, bacon from Tauros, and Oran berry juice. I could have taken care of you. I could have taken care of you. I remember that time that you got really sick, and you had a fever it was much higher than it should have been. I took care of you. The time that you saw Rattata and wanted to capture it so that you could become the champion of the Manji Region. The Rattata scared you though it made you have a split section of indecision that got you bit right on the leg. You screamed when they gave you that shot. I was in pain. I just do not understand what can I do to save you my little Pokémon Trainer. You should have known better than to be fighting crime. I wish I would have said something different when you left. I wish that I would have told you not to go fight crime. There was that whole mess with Team Ancient. Why did you fight? Why did you feel the need to fight the world? Why could I not save you from this fate." Then Brad's mom left and then Michael came in.

Michael who was stern, and started to talk. "I could see you being the champion of the region. Top trainer over us all. I wanted topple you from that dream. I wanted to take the top trainer spot from you. I wanted to beat you in the future. What if I never battle you again. What if I never get to have as intense of a fight again. It is just seems like this is all over. It is never going to be the same if you do not comeback to us. Please try to fight to stay with us. I need you to be the best trainer that I can be. You make me better. You make me a better person. I do not want you die because you make me want to be better. If you do not get better I do not know if I will be better. I do not know I fi can get better without you standing in the winning circle with me. You need to get better so that we can be better trainers together. You were so close to catching all the Pokémon in the Manji region. It was only three more. You will never get a whole collection of Manji Pokémon. It hurts to know that you are never going to grow to your true potential as a trainer and a researcher. You had the capability to be the best of us all. I think that you could still be above the rest of them. I just need you not to die. It is just that I wish that I could have saved you from this terrible fate." Then Michael left, and Kimber took her turn with Brad.

Kimber was absolutely bawling. Every time she looked at Brad all she could see was a pillar of water hit him. "It was all my fault. I could have saved you. I am never going to forget you. I always thought that you were cute. I wanted to be your friend. Then I was the one that could not decided where to attack that Poliwhirl. If I had just attacked the head of the Poliwhirl with thunder then you would not have been forced into this situation. This is all my fault. I do not know if I can take the responsibility of you dying because of me not acting. My indecision has now put you at death's door. It is like indecision is the knife that hurts the victim. I did not decide so it decided for me. My indecision hurt you, and almost made you leave this ride that we call day to day. Indecision hurts relationships because we do not know how we can help the other. Therefore if I would know what to do then I would have, but I just did not know what to do. I did not know how to save you. Please I need you to forgive me. I need you not to die here because I will neve be able to get what I need. I need your forgiveness. I need you to make it through so I can forgive you. Please Please Please just make it through for me. So that we can go shopping and I can buy you clothes. I need you to forgive me. Please make it through for me. I need you Brad."

Finally the doctor came back. She said "I actually realized something. He is just knocked out. He was not doing well but we are going to get him a steroid when he wakes up, and he should be fine in a week. He is going to pull through, but it all depends on him waking up." Then the room heard a couple of coughs come from Brad. Brad said through wincing pain "Hey guys what are we talking about?" That is when the company in the room started to laugh and were all overjoyed that he woke up.

The Day of Black Smoke

Brad had been released from the hospital for about a week, and he had been taking it extremely easy for the week. Now it was the day that Jackson was filled with black smoke. Now the black smoke meant something to the people of Jackson. The volcano was going to erupt, and every hand went to the work. They started to dig tunnels to make sure the lava did not fill up the town. The water Pokémon were being prepared to cool down the lava, and every citizen said they were going to fight the volcano just like their ancestors have always did. Not one citizen was worried about their on life, but more worried about the life they had created.

The gang all got together and started to discuss if they were going to help. "Last time we stepped in we almost lost Brad. We should evacuate. There is no chance I want to risk losing one of you again. What if we die? This is not even our town. We cannot be fighting this battle what if it happens again?" Asked Hayden. Then Michael chimed in "we all know that they would be better if they had trainers with out ability fighting for their side. We got to fight the volcano. We have to fight because that is what we do. We help the places that we travel." Kimber said "I go the forgiveness I needed from Brad, but that almost did not happen. I want to help because it is the right thing to do. We should not be worried, but we should fight like we have always have." Brad laughed and said "Don't worry what is the likelihood that I would get injured twice right? Let's fight the volcano!" They all agreed and decided to fight the volcano and help the people of Jackson once again.

There it was a tortured Rhydon. The volcano was already going to erupt, but the Rhydon was speeding up the eruption by tenfold. Then Brad saw him. It was Barnabas torturing the Rhydon. Now for some reason Barnabas was not forcing the Rhydon to grow. He was just torturing him so that the earth would shake. Then it happened the lava started to fly. The four were flying around cooling down lava. The trenches were big enough to stop the lava, but that was contingent on slowing down the lava. Then Brad landed in front of the Rhydon and shot a massive hydro pump on Rhydon with Blastoise. The Rhydon was hurt but used horn drill on Blastoise. Blastoise confused the Rhydon by using withdraw. Then Blastoise started to spin and use hydro pump cooling a lot of the area in a quick amount of time. Now Rhydon used fissure, and Blastoise dodged. Now this did not damage Blastoise but made the area much worse.

Then Blastoise used water gun and knocked out Rhydon. This was the first thing needed to getting the eruptions to stop having.

Now the group saw a couple of Pokémon that could not jump the trenches. They were stuck on the lava side of the trenches. The eruptions were getting worse, and worse. It was a hard decision should they retreat and be safe. The split second that it took to decided a lave spewed fifteen yard from Kimber. It hit her legs first. She screamed in pain. "Brad I need you to know something I lo ugh ugh ugh." Then the lava incased ever upper half. Leaving just a stone statue where Kimber used to stand. The statue was reaching out just wanting help. The sight of this shook the boys to their core. They had just their friend. They then got on their Pokémon and helped the trapped Pokémon across the trenches. The little Pokémon seemed like they were grateful, but they clearly did not know what was given for their lives.

That is when they had saved all the Pokémon that they heard the laughing. Barnabas was laughing at what had happened. Barnabas in his purple suit and top hat "Hahahaha your friend she is dead. I saw the stone statue. I guess you think that I killed her. I did not kill her I was watching the whole thing. If you had helped those Pokémon earlier she would not have died. If she decided to leave, she would not have died. If you decided not to fight the volcano today, she would still be alive. See it is not my fault that she died only consequences of the day. She made the choice, and I have given her the consequences. Everyone that stands against me shall die. I will become the head of the Bounty Hunter Squad, and flaunt my riches to take over the world. Her life was insignificant to me. Her future will never happen because of the consequences. She will never become a top trainer because I decided it. She will never have a happy love life with that dumb boy because I chose it. She will never have children because I chose it. I have chose to end her life via volcano. You will never be able to prove it though." Brad said "I will never forget her. I am going to be the one that remembers her. She was a good friend to me. I will avenge her." Then Barnabas used a small green bird Pokémon that said Natu to teleport him away.

The Funeral

It has been a whole week since the eruption has happened. "No I do not want to go to the funeral. I just I do not think that I can do it. I do not think that I can go to the funeral of a friend. It si not happening today. I reject it. I do not believe that Kimber's funeral is today." Said Brad. Hayden said "You are going to regret it if you do not go. She meant a lot to you. Besides you have to say something about her at the funeral remember you have to go." Brad said "I do not want to say anything because it is not the day of funeral. I cannot be going to my friend's funeral." Michael said "well today is the day we have to be at the spot in just an hour. Do you think that you will be able to pull yourself together by then." Brad responded with "No I am not going to a funeral. She is just on another adventure far away from us. I cannot be going to her funeral." Hayden said "You don't actually believe that do you?" He was quite worried in his voice. "No I am just saying what I am thinking out loud." Said Brad. Michael said "Good because we need to accept that she is gone for good. She is not coming back to us. Maybe we will see her in the next life, but she is gone."

Then Brad screamed "I know she is gone but what can I do about that! I cannot save her. I wish that I would have been the one to get hit by the lava then I would not have to go through all the pain. I am crying and crying just thinking about her. Thinking about all the things that she is not going to experience. Why do I have to be the one to bring the eulogy? Why can't you two do it? Why do I have to be the one that they all look at like someone just shot my Meowth. All of these people they knew what she meant to me, and now I have to be the one to talk about her, and give them some kind of hope. Well guess what I am the one that needs the hope right now. I am the one that needs to be told what to do. I need to be told how to live without her. It feels like I have lost part of myself to the void. I am so angry at the loss that she was the only one to give her life for this place. A place that seems that it should not even be on the map. Yeah the city between the flooded valley and the volcano. That is where I want to live!"

I just wish that I was the one. I wish I was the one to die the one that is ding the hurting, and not being hurt. I wish I was still in the hospital so that we would have never fought that volcano. If I was still in the hospital she would still be here to give us her love. What do you think she was going to say to me. She had a message right before she died. I did not get to hear her last words. I would give up my life to hear what she had to say. I would gladly have injured myself to hear what she had to say. I would have gladly injured myself to have her with us today. She deserves to live. I would have done anything in my power just to change the outcome, but it was so certain. It was so concrete. It was so rigid and hard. I would have fallen in front of the lava for her, but I did not have chance. I just wish that she was here with us today she would say something to lighten this mood or help us get out of the fog of confusion.

I am so sad because I will never see her happy again. I wil never see her win a Pokémon battle. I will never hear here complain about my clothes. I will never spend another day leisurely walking through a area with her. I will never light up when I see her face because now that face does not mean the same thing. Now it is cold and gone. I just wish that I could see her and be excited one more time. I want her back for summer days laughing and winter nights around the fire. She was special to me. She was special to us all. I just want to laugh with her again. I just want to tell her the stories of what we all did and have her not believe us because they are so wild. Like the time we went running with the Tauros, Michael. Yeah, Kimber never believed that we did that. I just remember the time I had been in the wilderness for a few days training my Dratini into a Dragonite, and she challenged me to a full battle right there. I just want to leave this town. I just cannot be thinking about this right now. I want to get up and go. I never want to see Jackson again. I just want to leave this town." Michael then responded "Well you would regret doing that you have not fought the gym leader yet. You should get the badge before you leave to not come back." Brad responded with "I just feel like that is so much work. I feel like even if I tried to make progress I would fail. I just feel like I could not do it again. I just cannot face him." Hayden then chimed in "Well it is time for us to get to the funeral."

Later at the funeral Brad got up to speak. "Kimber was a good friend to me. She was a kind friends. One of the last times we got to spend time together she was insisting I need new clothes and even offered to buy them for me. I guess what I am wearing might not be exactly funeral appropriate. She probably would have hated that. I hope my humor is appropriate for this solemn occasion. She wanted people to be the best that they could be. She was always ready for a battle. I do not know someone that has supported my growth as a trainer more than her. She wanted me to be the best person that I could possibly be at all times. One time I was on a adventure for the Legend Badge in Bonham. Well, I was raising my Pokémon and she got me to fight a full battle in the middle of nowhere. That is who she was always helping me reach my goals. She always wanted me to be a better person. I think that is something that we can all take from her life. We should strive to make one another better through hard work every single day. Through hard work, and dedication we can be our best and we can all remember who Kimber was as a person. Finally, she wanted the world around her to be better. She stood with me and my friends against many great foes. We fought Team Ancient, the psychics in Kirkland, and the Bounty Hunter Squad. I mean we even fought a massive flood, and a volcano in this town alone. We joined with you to make this world better. She wanted to make the world better for all of you. I think that we all should try to make the world better for everyone that is around us all of the time because that is what Kimber would do. People of Jackson you have bravery you can be the ones to stand up, and help the world. I thank you the people of Jackson today for honoring this girl in a special way. Thank you for dedicating this statue to her in her honor."

Then the sheet that had been over top of the statue came flying off. There she was reaching out for help once again. Brad started to cry the whole town was watching him cry. It was okay though because it was a funeral and you are supposed to cry at those. Then Brad saw from the stage from about a block away a statue. This statue was of a Kadabra. It was the one that he had to clean up. He cleaned the statue because People had forgotten about the hero that had saved this town. How long would it take them to forget about her? How long would it take until this statue needed to cleaned, and was not taken care of. Brad liked to think that this would not happen while he was alive but knew that he was probably wrong. He knew that one day him, Kimber Michael, and Hayden would be all but forgotten from this place their heroic sacrifice forgotten. One day it would all be forgotten, but not today. Today they celebrated the life of Kimber. After the service was over some of the friends of Kimber put friendship bracelets on the reaching out hand. It was meant to symbolize how they would always be together no matter how far death had taken them. The funeral had been nice, and had brought real closure for Brad as they usually do even though often times, he did not want to go them.

When it was over Brad saw some familiar faces come around to wish him the their condolences. Wingstead walked up to him "My boy that was a nice thing you did up there. That girl, and those superheroes they do some real high flying. I really hope that you are okay. She was a good girl, and strong trainer. I heard her Pokémon were also killed in the eruption. That is sad to hear as well. I hope that you are doing better. If you need anything call me. I look forward to you eventually making it to Griffin. I am already excited for the battle." This is when Treena popped in "You cannot stop talking about battle for twenty seconds can you. This girl just died from a heroes causes and you are talking about high flying and battling Brad." Wingstead started to laugh and said "I just thought that it would mean something to him about those heroes, and encourage him to keep moving forward in his journey." They then left the funeral. Then Arthur walked up to him "You two were some of the greatest students of the Dragon type gym here. I recognized it when you mentioned that in your message. I want to make the world a beeter place because of what you two did." Than finally Blake came to share his thoughts. Blake said "Excellent speech I could not have done better myself. I wanted to thank you for all that hero work you have been doing Brad. It has really taken a load of me and the Elite Four. Ever since we have to start taking care of Kirkland it seems like work has been piling up. You have been a big help to the Manji Region. She was also a big help to the region. I just wish we could catch that Barnabas guy then all of this could be over." This resonated with Brad. He already wanted to capture Barnabas but maybe by ending him this would bring peace to Manji. Now head thought this way before but unfortunately it had just take a different form. Brad had seen everyone, spoken his peace, and taken care of all that he needed. He knew that the days to come would be hard, but he would get better everyday that would come.

Volcan

Brad woke up the next day. "I am going to face the gym leader today. I heard he was a ground type so flying, water and grass types." Michael said " I thought you said that fighting the gym leader was to big of a task to take on. Something about losing no matter how hard you try? What is up about saying that, and then wanting to fight him today." Brad responded "I do not know I am just thinking that it is the first step to feeling better. I am going to fight the gym leader, and I am going to win."

Later at the gym. "My name is Volcan. I was waiting for you to come fight my gym. I am ground type leader. You will never guess what I was named after… yeah, the fertile soil that comes from our volcano. My ground Pokémon dug fifty foot long twenty-foot-deep trenches in the matter of seconds. I think it was mighty nice what you said about the girl, but I am not going easy on you because your friend died. I am going try to give you the best fight I can give you. I am going to be straight forward with you. I am going to use every Manji ground type against you. That being except for Onix. Onix was just too weak to put on my team of six. We will fight a six on six. We will have a point system. Every time a Pokémon faints, we have to change Pokémon. Whoever knocks out the Pokémon they get one point. After six round whoever has the most points wins. Got it?" said Volcan

Now Volcan's first Pokémon was Dugtrio. While Brad sent out Poliwrath. Now Poliwrath immediately went for a dynamic punch. Dugtrio quickly tunneled away to dodge this move. Then used its head to throw Poliwrath off of balance with a dig attack. Then Poliwrath grabbed a Dugtrio head and pulled it with submission, but its hands slipped because Dugtrio was firmly planted on the ground. Then Dugtrio burrowed away and started to mock Poliwrath with its speed. Poliwrath tried to throw a dynamic punch every time it popped up but it never landed a single one. Then Brad had an idea with a flex of Poliwrath's muscles it started to use the move rain dance. Then Poliwrath used hydro pump directly on one of the holes. Then watered started to fountain out of all the holes that Dugtrio. Then Dugtrio did not come out of the holes, but it was clear that it had landed a hit on Dugtrio. Then Poliwrath leaped into the air and did a dynamic punch on the middle of the battlefield. This made the ground loose and forced the Dugtrio to show itself. With one more hydro pump Dugtrio was knocked out, and Brad had gotten his first point.

Then Volcan used a Sandslash and Brad used his Charizard. Now the battle started with Charizard using fire blast. Then Sandslash jumped straight forward and used slash to jump right through. Then Charizard flew up in the sky. Then Charizard used air slash to throw Sandslash back to the ground. Then Charizard used fire spin to keep Sandslash in place. Then Charizard swooped down and used a barrage of fire blast on Sandslash. Then Sandslash all the sudden disappeared from amongst the pillar of fire. This would have been impossible without a knockout on the Sandslash. Brad looked at the referee to see the decision, but it was not a knockout. Brad was confused until he heard Charizard cry in pain. He saw Sandslash on the back of Charizard in the air. "It was a substitute. You never saw it coming." Then Sandslash used rockslide right on Charizard. This made Charizard very weak, and it was hard. Charizard kept fighting Sandslash though. Charizard then hit Sandslash with its tail, Then Charizard grabbed Sandslash by the arm, and started to ascend in a spinning motion. Then Charizard started to descend with the speed of a rocket. Charizard threw Sandslash right before it touched the ground. Then Charizard kept flying. Sandslash was knocked out, and Brad had started with a two-point lead.

Volcan chose his Golem for the next round, and Brad chose Venasaur. Golem started out with a rollout attack. Venasaur swatted the rollout attack from Golem. Golem continued to roll. Every time Golem got near Venasaur it would just get swatted away. "Well, this is going to be harder than I thought I am going to have to use something besides rollout I guess." Said Volcan. Then Golem bounced on the ground, and it started to shake the earth with an earthquake attack. The earthquake knocked Venasaur off of its footing and Golem got a sped-up rollout attack on Venasaur. The Golem landed in the flower of Venasaur. This was unfortunate because it was very irritating for Venasaur. Venasaur used petal dance to get Golem off of it. Golem shot of into the air and landed on the ball and got it footing back. Then Golem moved it arms in a strong motion and a column of stone struck Venasaur as a stone edge attack. Venasaur started to become confused because of fatigue because of petal dance. This led it to start shooting leaves all over the place with razor leaf. A barrage of leaves hit Golem to knock it out and Brad got his third point one more and he would win the battle automatically. "You got lucky that your Venasaur started to shot razor leaf when it was confused." Said Volcan. "Brad replied with "Nope I have been training it to do that when it is confused so that no Pokémon can get near it. You just lost to cold hard strategy." Volcan said "Well I guess planning ahead of time is something that I can get behind. You know that your Pokémon might become confused, so you get it a defense system I like it. I hope you do not have any more cards up them sleeves."

The next Pokémon that Volcan chose was Nidoking. While Brad chose his Alakzam. "I figured you would use a behemoth like Nidoking. That is why I brought my Alakzam to counter his poison type." Said Brad. Alakzam started the fight off with a psychic attack. Then Nidoking used earthquake attack to throw Alakzam around a bit. Then Nidoking ran up to Alakzam and hit it with Megahorn attack. "Nidoking has a built in defense against those psychic type Pokémon." said Volcan. "I was aware of that, but it did not seem like it would be that definite." Then Alakzam raised Nidoking off the ground. Then Alakzam let Nidoking drop, and hit Nidoking with three psybeam before it hit the ground. When Nidoking hit the ground it got up immediately, and used earth power to cover its location. Then Nidoking jumped through and landed on top of Alakzam. Then Nidoking repeatedly hit Alakzam with Megahorn while Nidoking was holding Alakzam down. Even though Alakzam was taking massive damage it was still calm. Nidoking started to rise into the air. Then the psychic attacks began it looked like Nidoking was about to be knocked out. Then Nidoking broke free, and used earth power to knock over Alakzam and leaped to use one last Megahorn. This Megahorn knocked out Alakzam, and Volcan got his first point to Brad's three points.

Then Volcan, and Brad used the same Pokémon which might make it very confusing. They both chose their Nidoqueen. "I figured that this might be a battle that was going to happen as well." Now Brad's Nidoqueen started off by raising its fingers and then dropping then for a powerful earth power attack. Then Volcan's Nidoqueen used surf to attack. Brad's Nidoqueen jumped over the wave of water, and used body slam on the other Nidoqueen. The water cam crashing down on them both. They both met in the middle fighting with the move superpower. Then all of sudden Brad's Nidoqueen changed its move to ice punch attack. Freezing a breastplate of ice onto the other Nidoqueen. Then with a backflip body slam Brad's Nidoqueen was on top. Volcan's Nidoqueen beat its chest with superpower to break the ice. Then Volcan's Nidoqueen used earth power attack. Greatly weakening Brad's Nidoqueen. While Brad's Nidoqueen was getting up it used superpower right on the chest of the other Nidoqueen while it was not expecting it. Volcan's Nidoqueen used superpower on the face of Brad's Nidoqueen, and knocked Brad's Nidoqueen down. While the Brad's Nidoqueen was down Volcan's used surf. The surf attack knocked out Brad's Nidoqueen. That gave Volcan two points to Brad's three points. "Well brad if you do not win this next one then you do not win the badge. We don't give badges to people that only tie the gym leader. So good luck this is one of my best Pokémon a personal hero on the field when we were fighting the volcano. No matter if that other one of its species sped it up the eruption"

Then Volcan chose Rhydon to fight in the last round of the battle. Brad chose his Blastoise to fight in the last round. Now Rhydon started by charging directly at Blastoise. Blastoise did not flinch though. Blastoise stood its ground and pointed it hands up then down, and shot two shot into the air to set up a rain dance. The Rhydon was close to using a drill run attack, but Blastoise used withdraw to make it not effect Blastoise at all. While Blastoise was barreling through the air Blastoise turned on Rhydon and hit it with two pillars of water with a hydro pump attack. After that Rhydon started to come at Blastoise again for a horn attack. Again Blastoise used withdraw and evaded damage. Then Blastoise shot another tremendous hydro pump in the pouring rain. Then Rhydon started barreling towards Blastoise and before he got close used stone edge to hurt Blastoise. Then used take down to get some damage on Blastoise. Then Rhydon started to attack again with horn drill. Blastoise used surf and knocked Rhydon back to the ground. While Rhydon was on the ground Blastoise shot to huge steams of hydro pump. The hydro pump knocked out Rhydon. The score was now four to two Brad had won the battle.

"Well, I will be. I am lost the battle. Congratulations you have won the Ash Badge." Brad was relieved. He had won the badge that he had fought hard to get now he could actually leave this city. He could finally go ahead and move on with his life. He could finally go on with his life without her.
