Persephone gets sick up top the summer after Orpheus changed everything, and an extremely worried Hades heads to Demeter's abode to help her get well. Meanwhile, in Hadestown, a tall worker named Zagreus is handed the proverbial keys to the kingdom and must fill in for his boss until he gets back.

The problem with walking out of the Underworld was that, despite Orpheus's best efforts, it stayed with him. Hades considers this a fair trade.

Persephone's speakeasy housed premium vintages of the world up top, of summer sunshine and autumn winds, of the moon and stars above and the fertile soil below. But the ones sealed in the back, never opened, contained her memories of better times.

Orpheus wasn't the first to enter Hadestown while living, but he was the first to walk out again.
