Chapter 43: Another One Bites the Dust

"…Let's crush those idiots! Plus Ultra!."

"Oh my God! It worked!" Melissa sat down in disbelief. "Izuku's quirk sent me back into the past!"

"Izu…" She shut her own mouth after remembering the warning. "Founder! Another one bit the dust!"

Izuku was shocked. Was the situation really that bad? His first instinct was to call Killer Queen back, but it didn't work.

"What? I definitely remember being able to recall my stand during the time loop." Kira was worried.

"I guess Killer Queen is malfunctioning." Diavolo wondered.

"Or may be it likes the girl more than you, kid!" DIO laughed.

"Midoriya, what's going on?" Momo wanted to clear up the confusion.

"I used Killer Queen to kill someone and send Melissa back into the past. It worked on her because she lacks a quirk. Starting from now and I think for an hour anyone who learns my identity through Miss Shield or attacks her will die 100%. If that happens, time will loop back again."

"But we already know your identity." Shoto was confused.

"It doesn't matter. Killer Queen works under strict rules and can't differentiate friend from foe now."

"I feel bad for it. Having to kill your friends because of some rule must suck." Itsuka commented.

Everyone sighed, as this wouldn't be too out of place considering what else green head's quirk could do. Melissa quietly whispered the events of past hour to Izuku while only calling him by his hero alias just to be sure.

"What now?" Mineta asked.

"We should still go up and turn off the lockdown. Wolfram's death may not stop the whole operation. There is a problem, however. I can't use KQ and Melissa's protection works indiscriminately. We can't count on two of us for self defense."

"Wolfram?"

"I think he's the leader of the attackers."

"We'll figure something out. Let's go!" Uraraka pointed at stairs.

Everything was the same until students needed to lower the ladder from above. Mineta had to get through a ventilation shaft and climb on the outside of the building to reach the upper floor. Without SHA, they had to rely on Grape Juice and Creati to take the robots down from range. Iida went towards the control room instead of Midoriya when team separated in the server room. They were able to reach the vault in time, but Wolfram still restrained the duo, shot Sam and put on the helmet. Just as he wanted to crush her father, Melissa tried to stall.

"Wait, you don't have to kill him now!"

"Why exactly?"

"Think of all the possibilities! If he can make a device to empower a quirk, then he can also make a life prolonging machine. Why not rule the world for hundreds of years?"

"I suppose that's true. Ok, David. I suppose I can spare you for a few more years. Let's go. I'll let you see me kill All Might first hand." He aimed his pistol and gestured towards the exit.

Wolfram and his cronies inexplicably exploded in the elevator, along with the quirk boosting device. The only thing they saw before death was Killer Queen pressing a switch with a judgmental expression on its face. Izuku's voice bid them farewell. While this was happening, Melissa and Iida got into the control room and lifted the lockdown. Midoriya recalled KQ to prevent further loops. Heroes quickly apprehended all the remaining villains.

"What's going to happen to Mr Shield?" Izuku asked at a bench.

"My dad will be put behind bars for organizing this attack." Melissa sighed before drinking a milkshake.

"I'm sorry for you and for him." He mumbled.

"Don't be. It wasn't your fault. In fact, this would have been a lot worse without you."

"He he, right. Cheers!" He raised a box of juice.

"By the way, your quirk is out of this world! I doubt even aunt Bate can do something like this."

"I know."

"Wolfram's requiem was overpowered by mine!" Kira proclaimed.

"Not going to lie, I liked having Killer Queen with me. It was almost like having a quirk of my own, even if it wasn't very practical."

"KQ was only one piece of the puzzle. We wouldn't be able to save the day without your knowledge and bravery. You were the real hero that day!"

"You flatter me. Speaking of heroes, I think I'll transfer to UA soon."

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I need some time away from I-Island, to try and cope with all that happened and DIDN'T happen yesterday. What's a better place to go to than school that has you and Uncle Might?" She tightly embraced the boy who noticed someone coming at him.

Mina, Tooru and Itsuka were watching him being hugged. Their reactions varied: Pinky was pouting, visible girl was smiling and karate master wanted to crush her face with her hand.

"Hi, Izuku!" Tooru jumped to sit on his lap. "I've missed you so much!"

"Oh, hello!" Melissa offered her hand. "Are you his girlfriend?"

"Yup!" Tooru shook her hand. "Want to join us?" She spoke in English with a thick accent.

"Join? Wait, is that an option?" Shield put her finger on her chin.

"Yeah, you just have to convince him and the rest of the council." Hagakure pointed at Ashido and Kendou. "Although, your hands are kind of dry, so don't count on it." Visible girl giggled and pressed her palms against his cheeks. She could feel something poking at her butt.

"I'll take care of them! Promise!" Shield ran off to the nearest beauty salon.

"Midori, you'll have to officially introduce her to us!" Horny girl set next to green head and put her head on his shoulder.

"I'd punch him now, but it would be hypocritical coming from me." Martial artist quietly did the same thing on the other side.

"Kacchan would kill me if he saw me right now." Izuku's first phrase in this position.

"He's simply being jealous, Midori." Mina said as she rubbed her hands against his neck.

Author's note: If you are reading this, you're awesome! Izuku finally got to use Killer Queen to its full potential. What's funny to me is that the only kills he got so far were all on this stand's bombs: 1 – unnamed goons at USJ, 2 – USJ Nomu, 3 – Wolfram and his crew. This wasn't intentional, but I guess it makes sense given how kitty is mostly made for killing.

I've decided that Melissa will join UA's support course to move away from I-Island and work towards her dream of being a quirkless hero. Her being quirkless perfectly fits BTD restriction of requiring a non-stand user.

Speaking of BTD, I decided to nerf it a bit. Being able to recall Killer Queen before a loop finishes makes it too exploitable. So, once it activates, Midoriya has to commit to the murders.

Stone mask and red stone will play their role when we go back to the plot.

The next few chapters will cover Izuku's 16th birthday, harems, another session with a psychologist and may be a few fillers. Plot will thicken once we get to the Forest camp. Before all of that, however, I need to go back and grammar check everything. So, there won't be new text for a while.
