In a control room deep within the Pentagon stood an older man with a large noticeable scar on the right side of his face with gray hair, he wore a suit with a flag pin of the United States of America present on it.

Alongside him stood another man who wore a grey suit, the man had short red hair along with sunglasses that covered his eyes.

These two Men were Cecil Stedman, who had just recently been appointed as the head of the Global Defense Agency, and Donald Ferguson, and currently both of them were staring at a live feed of the unidentified flying object that had recently entered earth's atmosphere and situated itself a few miles south from Turpin Oklahoma, and to this point had remained dormant.

"Got any news for me on our uninvited guest?" Cecil asked.

"The object has shown no sign of activity and has remained floating idly in the air for the past seventy-two hours. It has not made any forms of contact and as far as we know may not even be occupied sir." Donald replied.

"And what about the guardians?" Cecil asked

"Still on standby should anything happen, currently we have troops on the ground who will act as a first line of defense until the guardians can arrive." Donald explained.

Cecil narrowed his eyes; he did not have a good feeling about this. This object comes from out of nowhere and then just sits idly for seventy-two hours. Some would argue that is a good thing and showed that the object in question likely didn't pose a threat. Cecil however had been in this line of work for a very long time and could feel the difference between a false alarm and calm before the storm, and this was most certainly the latter.

At the site of the unidentified flying object sat a makeshift military outpost which held multiple battalions of soldiers, all of whom were currently being debriefed on the situation at hand.

The Object itself bore an alien-like appearance as it appeared to be made of two different parts, with the part on the left side pointing upward and the right side pointing downward. The two parts together formed a diamond shaped hole in the center and the craft appeared to be using some form of gravitational technology.

"Alright, listen up, seventy-two hours ago an unidentified flying object broke through the earth's atmosphere and touched down at this location." As the man spoke, one of the soldiers, an African American woman, who was among the crowd of soldiers being debriefed, noticed someone was missing from the crowd.

Looking around the woman quickly saw that one of the tents that had been set up at the outpost was partially open, she then made her way out the crowd and toward the tent, making her way inside to see the man she was looking for.

Sitting in a chair with his feet kicked up on the desk was a Latin American man who was currently on the phone speaking with someone.

"I'll be home soon, I promise." The man said over the phone with a smile.

"I can't believe you." The woman stated, somewhat startling the man as he quickly jumped up and covered the phone with his hand.

"Oh hey Mandy." The man greeted in a nervous tone.

"Don't 'Mandy' me Sam." the woman said with a stern look. "You snuck into the command tent to make a call? What part of top-secret mission did you not get?"

"I guess based on my actions, the top-secret part?" The now named Sam asked with a nervous smile.

"I'm gonna kill you." Mandy sighed.

"Come on Waller it's been three days of looking at a hole in the ground, you can't tell me this is what you imagined when you enlisted." Sam argued.

"Serving my country without question? Uh yeah, it is." She argued back.

"Besides, what I'm doing is important." Sam said in a softer tone.

"So is this mission. Get your head in the game." She said as she grabbed Sam by his shoulder and began making her way out the tent, dragging Sam along with her. "I won't always be around to get your ass out of trouble-"

Before she had the chance to finish her statement, the two of them felt the ground shake along with a sound of something powering up.

The two quickly run out of the tent and gaze at where the noise was originating from.

Unsurprisingly, the disturbance was coming from the very device they were sent here to watch over.

A hum emanated from the device as a ball of energy formed in the center of the diamond before a streak of energy shot up through the middle of the device and into the air before it opened up a wide diamond shaped portal in the sky.

On the other side of the portal was a large fleet of oddly shaped ships, above the leading ship of the fleet was a humanoid figure wearing some form of armor, with a red diamond shaped plate of armor on the figures chest, the figure also bore large shoulder pauldrons along with a red cape, and armor which also covered the figures face with a red diamond piece on the figures forehead.

The figure extended his arms out making a gesture as all the ships behind him began to fire projectiles from the sides of the ship as the projectiles quickly turned and began making their way into the portal.

The projectiles quickly made their way toward the soldiers who quickly began bracing themselves for the imminent battle that was about to take place.

The Projectiles which had a triangle-like shape impacted the ground, some of the projectiles landed on tanks and even some soldiers. Upon landing the Projectiles then transformed from their triangle shaped form into a robotic humanoid form.

The robots similar to the device that had brung them here had gravitational technology that was far beyond human capability with many of the parts that should have been present such as shoulders, knees, elbows, and an abdomen not being a present, instead the robot was seemingly being held together by nothing but gravity. The robots also bore an odd symbol on their chest, the symbol bore three interconnected lines or nodes, forming a triangle-like shape.

The Machines had red sensors on their heads that acted as eyes as they quickly scanned the area for any life form and without a second thought, they began to fire lasers at any soldier that was in their sights.

The soldiers began to open fire on the robots, their guns not inflicting a lick of damage on the death machines from space as the numbers of military personnel was quickly reduced in large quantities.

A much larger projectile came down on one of the tanks destroying it and causing an explosion that sent several soldiers flying, the projectile then transformed to form a much larger and bulkier robot which had six legs and was larger than the other robots, It began to fire a laser cannon that was on its back which was more destructive than the robots they had been fighting up to this point.

An Apache attack helicopter flew to the battle, firing two rockets toward the bulky robot before letting down fire on the other robots from the machine on on the front, Unfortunately, the missiles nor the machine gun fire did much damage to the advancing army of robots as the helicopter was promptly destroyed by laser fire from the robots.

Both Sam and Amanda were firing on the robots, with Sam firing a pistol having run out of rifle ammo while Amanda was still firing her rifle but was on her last clip of ammunition. Suddenly a laser blast was shot at them clipping Amanda in the arm causing her to drop her rifle but thankfully it had not damaged her arm too badly, only leaving some skin missing along with a burn mark.

Amanda had gripped her arm as Sam took her and got to cover behind one of the tents. Unfortunately, this did not keep them from being spotted as one of the robots spotted the two of them and made its way behind the tent where the two had taken cover to finish the job.

The pair of soldiers widened their eyes as the robot peered down on them before aiming its blaster at the both of them.

Sam closed his eyes thinking this would be it, he would never see his fiancé again and would never get to see his unborn daughter be born, he would never get to teach her how to walk, He would never get to hear her say her first words, he would never teach her how to ride a bike, never teach her how to drive, never send her off to prom and scare the ever living shit out of whatever boy would decide to take her, he would never see her graduate high school, or go to college. And the worst part? She would never learn what really happened to him, they'd likely say he was killed in Iraq or Afghanistan, not in the middle of nowhere in the panhandle of Oklahoma.

It was then that something unexpected happened, the robot that was moments away from vaporizing them had its chest dented inward and was sent flying across the battlefield by what appeared to be a mace.

Both Sam and Amanda looked up in shock and awe as a woman wielding a mace floated before them with her back turned to them. It was clear that she was the one responsible for the destruction of the robot. The woman wore a red and white, form-fitting bodysuit with gold accents, including a gold helmet that bore a crown-like design, with a central crest that rises slightly above her forehead, she also sported a blue cape that flowed through the wind.

Sam and Amanda quickly recognized their savior as War Woman, one of the members of the guardians of the globe. They quickly snapped out of their shock as War Woman turned her head to look at them. "We can take it from here, fall back and try and retrieve any of your injured comrades if possible." War Woman commanded as the two quickly began to make their way away from the battle.

A red blur was moving around the battlefield saving soldiers right before they could be hit by the lasers from the robots, as the blur quickly moved the soldiers out of harm's way before quickly moving to grab more soldiers.

A man flew toward one of the robots and hit it in the chest knocking it back. He was a large muscular man who wore a bodysuit that was mainly blue and yellow with white being present on the suit as well, he had a rugged look to him with long black hair that barely reached past his shoulders. This was the Immortal, another member of the guardians of the globe

"These things are tough, and we're only going to get more and more coming through that portal." Immortal said as he punched another in the sensor on its head, causing the machine to fall apart.

"We need to destroy the device that's keeping the portal open." War Woman declared as she stared at the object in question.

The Robots had turned their attention to the two of them as they began to fire their lasers at the two heroes. However, their advance came to a sudden halt as they were hit with a powerful stream of pressurized water which managed to deal significant damage to the robots, even destroying some.

Standing there with his arm extended in the direction of the robots was a humanoid blue fish that wore a green, white, and yellow bodysuit that covered his upper and lower torso.

At the same time the red blur from earlier returned to the side of his fellow guardians, he wore a red bodysuit with a symbol of two red Rs on his chest. With red goggles as well as a mask to cover his face only leaving the lower half of it exposed.

A third figure came down on the ground making a small crater. The figure was a tall bald African American man, he wore a white and purple bodysuit.

These three heroes were Red Rush, Aquarus, and Black Samson, three of the six current members of the Guardians of the Globe.

"All soldiers have been evacuated." Red Rush informed them, he spoke with a Russian accent and from the sound of his voice it was clear that he was the youngest member of the team.

"Good, now we need to clear as many of these things as we can and get to that device and destroy it so we can shut down the portal to prevent more of these machines from getting here. I'll take the big one while you all take the rest, and remember, the objective is to close that portal by any means necessary." Immortal said before he tapped his com link. "Darkwing, you will provide air support, try and keep more of those things from getting through that portal until we can destroy the device."

"Already on it." A voice responded on the other end as a sleek black jet flew above them and began firing missiles into the portal. The man flying the plane was Darkwing, the sixth member of the team.

War Woman, Red Rush, Aquarus, and Black Samson all began to engage the robots to the best of their abilities, while immortal went for the bigger and much larger robot.

Immortal quickly flew at the robot, cracking it across its face with a right hook. The robot had clearly been affected by the attack, but not nearly enough to put it down as it turned its head to look at Immortal before charging up a large amount of energy from the canon on its back before firing a powerful laser at the Immortal that packed enough power to knock Immortal away from the Immortal and being sent skidding into the ground practically a football field away.

Immortal instantly knew that taking this thing down would not be so easy, it was clearly more durable than the others of its kind and packed a more powerful punch.

War Woman had led the charge with her fellow guardians against the number of robots, her along with Black Samson had been able to take down some of the robots, however the robots did not go down easily as they proved to be quite durable, though their main weakness appeared to be their heads, particularly the censors that acted as their eyes.

Aquarus managed to use his pressurized water to deal great damage to a good number of the robots even destroying some out right. Red Rush on the other hand, while very fast could not do much in order to inflict damage upon the robots so instead he used himself as a distraction, diverting the attention of a good number of robots to keep them from firing at his teammates and focused on him. He had no difficulty dodging the lasers the robots sent his way as his teammates had an easier time destroying the robots with some of their attention diverted to Red Rush.

Everything seemed to be going well for Red Rush until one of the robots shot a laser blast at the ground as he was running causing him to be blown through the air.

The robots had managed to calculate his exact trajectory and exactly where to fire its laser, this increase in intelligence seemed to be prevalent throughout all the robots as they all began to become more tactical and strategic with their battle against the Guardians.

The robots rather than all attack from one angle began to circle around the group of guardians and fire down at them from all sides. This made avoiding the incoming blasts much harder for the Guardians.

Thinking quickly, Black Samson leaped into the air and on the back of one of the robots, grabbing its head from behind and quickly lobbing it toward the head of another robot, causing both the robot he had jumped on and the robot he threw the head at to come apart, he then grabbed the leg piece of one of the downed robots and used the piece to both attack the robots and block their incoming blasts, the material the robots were made from had been capable of tanking the hits from the blasts and simultaneously used as a weapon against them.

The robots once again pivoted a chunk of their attention from the other guardians and focused on Black Samson as he went around the circle of robots striking each of them down one by one.

However, with over half of the robots focusing their fire on him he was only able to dodge and block so many and unfortunately one of the robots managed to clip Black Samson in the shoulder with a blast sending him to the ground. Before he was able to get back up a robot had placed its foot on his chest causing Black Samson to let out a grunt in pain, the robot aimed its blaster at him with the intent of ending him.

"NO!" War Woman cried out as she flew at the robot with her mace to try and stop it from killing her teammate and friend.

Unfortunately, her rescue attempt was quickly put to a halt by one of the robots bum rushing her while she was flying, causing her to go off course and send her skidding into the ground.

Before Red Rush or Aquarus could act they along with War Woman who had begun to get back up had once again found themselves surrounded.

Suddenly, before anything else could happen that would be able to make the situation worse, the larger robot Immortal had been engaged with was sent hurtling toward the robots, crushing a number of them as it landed on its side before it up righted itself.

This caused the robot who moments away from killing Black Samson to turn its head and look at the commotion only to immediately go offline, for as soon as it looked up the last thing it had processed was the Immortals fist in front of its face. Immortal had punched a hole directly through the robot's head before tossing its husk away, and promptly helped Black Samson get back on his feet.

"Thanks for the save." Black Samson thanked.

"You can thank me once we've taken care of this situation." Immortal said as he and the others looked at the still large number of robots along with the large one who we're all about to re-engage with the Guardians as they made a final push in order to reach the device that was keeping the portal open and shut it down by any means necessary.

In the sky above, Darkwing had piloted his jet and was hovering in front of the portal and had been firing rockets at anything that came through in attempt to stop it, however, he quickly became alarmed by something, and while the missiles did not do much in the way of stopping the robots from coming down to continue the ground assault that is not what bothered him.

No, what bothered him was the figure who had been floating above the fleet of ships and observing them. He was now looking directly at Darkwing, the middle of his face began to glow red along with the red piece of armor on his head as he charged up a beam and quickly fired it at Darkwings jet.

Darkwing ejected just in time as his entire plane had been completely eviscerated by the single blast of energy the figure had unleashed on him.

Seeing this from below the other Guardians eyes slightly widened in shock, it seemed that this person who was seemingly the one leading the assault was preparing to enter the battle.

Immortal along with everyone else knew that the tide of the battle would most definitely change for the worst if they didn't shut that portal down now, they'd most certainly end up in a confrontation with this figure.

As the Guardians appeared to be making a final push toward the device in order to shut it down, tearing their way through robot after robot as the figure on the other side of the portal began to slowly make his way to them.

Immortal had a very bad feeling about this, it was clear that this figure was not a run of the mil supervillain they have dealt with or even their run of the mil wannabe alien conqueror either. They would most definitely be in for one of if not their most challenging fight.

However, something unexpected occurred which left all the guardians and all the soldiers who had been watching from afar in varying states of shock.

As the figure that the Guardians would have no choice but to engage in a fight was preparing to enter the portal a blinding flash of light appeared to the side of the figure.

The figure appeared to shield himself to the best of his abilities as the figure and the fleet of ships that surrounded him were engulfed in a blinding light before the portal closed.

As soon as the portal closed all the robots immediately shut down, all of them falling over, including the larger, bulkier robot.

The device that had been responsible for opening the portal also deactivated, as its two halves fell in different directions, both hitting the ground and causing dirt and debris to come up from the fall, leaving a cloud of smoke in the aftermath.

"What the hell just happened?" Black Samson asked as he looked at the scene before him.

"I think we won?" Red Rush said almost like it was a question.

"I don't know, it doesn't make sense." Aquarus said.

Immortal had lived a long time and had seen a great many things during his time on this world, and out of the many things he had seen this was by far one of the more suspicious things he had seen, what could possibly have happened for an invasion force such as that to be put to a sudden stop.

And the guardians were not the only ones wondering what just happened.

At the Pentagon Cecil had observed the entire invasion through various angles, from the moment the portal opened to the fight between the guardians and the robots to the seemingly abrupt end to the invasion.

"What the hell was that? Somebody tell me we have some news on what just happened."

"Sir, we believe that some type of explosion of a very large magnitude on the other side of the portal is what we just witnessed, but we don't know what caused the explosion. From what we could see the explosion was likely holding enough power to wipe out the invasion force entirely." Donald informed his boss.

Cecil sighed at this, this left a number of possibilities as to what could have happened and none of those possibilities made Cecil feel any more comfortable, the robots alone had the Guardians on the ropes, lord knows what the figure leading them would have done had he came through the portal. And he along with the rest of his invasion force had been taken out by an explosion, an extremely powerful one at that.

"How many men did we lose?" Cecil asked.

"Over eighty five percent of the military forces we sent were wiped out, sir." Donald answered.

"I want every single piece of technology those bastards left behind brought to Cadmus and analyzed." Cecil demanded.

"Already on it sir, teams are already on the way to extract everything that was left behind." Donald replied.

"Good, have the Guardians go back to base and rest up for now, and make sure that this incident stays on a tight leash, I don't want the press or anybody else knowing that this invasion force of machines was a wave of reinforcements away from taking out the Guardians." Cecil ordered.

As the process of bringing the robots in for study had begun while the surviving soldiers of the incident now labeled Zero Day had been transported to a nearby base in order to receive medical treatment.

At the Pentagon Cecil was in the process of speaking to the lead scientists of Cadmus Dr Elias Brandyworth. Cadmus was a top-secret science division for the United States government. As Cecil spoke to the scientist, he was approached by Donald who bore a look of concern.

"Sir, two unidentified objects were just picked up on our scanners, one entered earth's atmosphere seemingly on a crash course for the arctic however a second one that by our estimates is much smaller appeared to be on crash course for the United States, our scanners lost sight of both craft shortly after they entered the atmosphere." He reported.

Cecil let out a sigh in frustration, it hadn't even been a full 24 hours and now there was yet another potential other worldly threat, and not only was there another potential threat but they had lost it.

"We have billions in funding, the best scientists and researchers in the world, the best satellites and threat detection systems, so how the hell did we lose sight of not one but two unknowns entering our own god damn atmosphere?" Cecil asked angrily.

"We aren't quite sure sir; the belief is that the ship on course for the U.S. activated some sort of stealth mode upon entering our atmosphere and with their technology being far ahead of ours we simply were unable to track it." Donald explained.

Cecil let out yet another sigh before moving onto his next question. "Where was our mystery craft going to crash?" Cecil asked.

"We we're only able to get a rough estimate, it could land anywhere from Omaha Nebraska to Dallas Texas."

Cecil was not pleased with this information, this craft could have landed anywhere from the South to the Midwest, if the ship had any hostiles inside it could quickly become a huge disaster and they would not be as prepared as they were for Zero Day.

Of course, there was the possibility that it was not related to Zero Day but the timing between that incident and this was too convenient for a man like Cecil who was not one to believe in coincidences.

"Have our drones scouring that entire area, I want 24/7 monitors on all local and state law enforcement radio channels, I want monitors on the internet and local news stations as well, if anything strange comes up we need to be the first to know."

"Understood sir, I already have our teams on the lookout for anything suspicious, if anything happens, we will know right away." Donald said.

"Good, now what about the one heading towards the arctic?" Cecil asked.

"We don't have as many resources in the arctic as we do in the states sir, from the scans we managed to conduct however we believe the vessel to be unmanned, at least not manned by anything our scanners could detect, shape also appears to be different than the first unknown that arrived on Zero Day."

"Alright I want all eyes and ears on these two situations and all resources dedicated to tracking these unknowns down." Cecil ordered everyone present before turning to the doctor.

"As for you, I want you and all your people examining our mystery alien tech, and you tell Erikson if he has a problem with that than he can come to me about it." Cecil told Dr Brandyworth before walking away.

Cecil did not know it yet, but what he believed could be another potential threat to humanity would turn out to be one of its greatest saviors.

AN: Alright, so I was in the middle of my semi large rewrite of my MHA x DC story when this idea that I had been playing around with in my head for a while returned in full force, and with Invincible season 3 on the way I just said fuck it we ball.

Now first off, yes this will be a Mark x Kara fic, but as you all know she will not appear for a good number of chapters, and for some reason when I tried to add the pairing in the settings it wouldn't let me select a character from invincible which was kind of weird.

I chose MAWS specifically because I felt that with the way they tell the story of superman compared to other iterations in DC it would not only fit but would also be entertaining to see this world and the world of invincible coexist, I am excited to show how these new players and factions play a hand into the lore of the story with their now being both a Viltrum and Kryptonian Empire as well as other players such as Apokolips which was confirmed to exist in MAWS season 2.

Now, I thought about this for a while and I decided that the only way I would add other DC heroes to this fic is if they appear in the My Adventures With Superman show, if they do I will try my utmost to write them in this story as best as I can, but with the existence of the Guardians and other factors some DC characters will be harder to write into the story than others but again I will do my best.

As of right now I have some things planned but I am still working things out such as how the timeline of this story will work and various other things, I am also open to ideas and love hearing you guys give your takes and suggestions, I am a growing writer and I'm trying to improve so please don't be afraid to give any constructive criticism.

Anyway, I will be working on getting the next chapter out as soon as possible, let me know your thoughts and any ideas or suggestions you have, you can also feel free to DM me, and I hope you guys enjoy this fic.
