It was a bright sunny morning in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario, Luigi and Yoshi were walking through Toad Town, the dozens of happy and cheerful Toads playing around the streets and grassfields. As Mario and Luigi made their way to Princess Peach's castle, they saw their old friend Professor Elvin Gadd just outside the castle grounds. Professor E. Gadd was working on a new invention. Accompanying him is Princess Peach, Toadiko, Toadbert, and Toadsworth.
Luigi: Professor E. Gadd! Good morning!
Professor E. Gadd's attention turned to the Mario Bros. and Yoshi. Princess Peach also turned to see the two brothers show up.
Princess Peach: Good morning, Mario!
Mario: Good morning, Princess Peach.
Princess Peach: Good morning, Mario!
Professor E. Gadd: Ah, good morning, Luigi! I see you brought Mario with you.
Toadsworth: Good morning, Master Mario! You too, Master Luigi.
Luigi glanced at Professor E. Gadd's new machine with curiosity.
Luigi: Say, professor? What is this new machine that you're building?
Professor E. Gadd: Why I'm glad you asked, Luigi. This right here is my newest invention. I call it the Portalgeist.
Mario: Portalgeist, huh? That actually sounds pretty interesting, professor.
Toadbert: Professor E. Gadd is getting ready to test out his latest creation. We're just here to watch him unleash the potential of the device to its fullest.
Mario: That's great!
Toadsworth: Okay now, boys. The device is powering up right now, so step back up please.
Mario and Luigi: Oh, right! Sorry, Toadsworth!
Mario and Luigi backed up as they joined Princess Peach and the others in watching the activation of the Portalgeist. The Bros. could watch in awe as the device opened up a portal. But who knows what may lurk behind the portal…
It was a bright and sunny day in the Sailor Moon universe. Usagi was hanging out with her friends in the district of Azabu-Juban, Tokyo, Japan. Her friends are Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, and Minako Aino. Accompanying them were Chibi-Usa, Usagi's future daughter, Luna, Artemis, and Diana, Luna and Artemis' future daughter.
Minako: So, Usagi. How did you do on your latest exam?
Usagi: I actually did a lot better. Ms. Sakurada was impressed.
?: Well… as I would say, studying more effectively would help.
A tall boy with black hair was accompanying the girls. This is Mamoru Chiba, Usagi's boyfriend. Mamoru goes to Moto-Azuba Private High School.
Usagi: Of course, Mamo-chan.
Makoto: What's going on?
The group noticed a crowd of people gathering around the mysterious portal that just appeared on the street.
Usagi: Excuse me, but what is going on?
Civilian #1: A portal just showed up not long ago. It appears to link to some kind of dimension or something.
Rei: Dimension, huh? Sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie.
Usagi: Perhaps I'll try entering.
The crowd stepped aside as Usagi walked into the portal. The others watched as she vanished.
Makoto: Did you guys just see that?!
Ami: She disappeared through the portal.
Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and the gang were watching the Portalgeist's activity from a distance. A siren sounded as the device reacted.
Luigi: I think something is about to come out from the other side of the portal!
Mario: I hope it's not Godzilla vs. Koopzilla all over again!
Everyone else watched in silence. Just then, Mario noticed a humanoid shape. Everyone else watched in amazement as Usagi stepped out of the other side of the portal.
Luigi: A…a girl?
Toadbert: Wow… I'm impressed.
Usagi: What happened? Where am I?
Usagi looked around, and then turned to Mario, as he walked over toher.
Mario: I'm Mario. And welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom! My home! What's your name?
Usagi: I'm.. I'm Usagi Tsukino…
Mario: Usagi, huh? That's a nice name.
Usagi: Thanks. Um.. who are these guys?
Mario: Oh. My bad. I haven't introduced everyone else yet. This is my younger brother Luigi.
Luigi: Nice to meet you, Usagi.
Usagi: Thank you.
Princess Peach: Usagi, welcome! It's such an honor to have you visit my kingdom! I'm Princess Peach!
Usagi: Nice to meet you, too, Princess.
Princess Peach: Oh. I perhaps haven't introduced my Toad attendants to you yet. This is Toadsworth. He's my steward. And these are Toadbert and Toadiko.
Toadbert: It's an honor to meet you.
Princess Peach: Now, Mario.. Why don't you and Luigi show Usagi around the Mushroom Kingdom?
Mario: Okie Dokie!
Mario and Luigi escorted Usagi to Toad Town, where she finds a splendid view awaiting. The town was filled with shops and buildings. Giant mushrooms, trees, flowers, and floating land masses were everywhere, and faraway birds twitter in the sky.
Usagi: Everything here… it's so nice… it kinda reminds me of home…
Mario: It is. Wait… home? What do you mean, Usagi?
Usagi: Well, back in my home of Azabu-Juban, my friends and I would hang around, go to school together, and even fight evil forces.
Mario: Azabu-Juban? Where's that?
Usagi: Oh, it's a district in Tokyo, Japan. My family and I live there.
Mario: Oh… Wait… Tokyo…. Isn't that in the real world or something?
Luigi: I think she was referring to the Tokyo of the universe where she came from, Mario.
Mario: Oh…. right! Sorry, Usagi!
Usagi: It's okay.
Mario: Say, why don't we show you around Princess Peach's castle?
Usagi: Sure!
Mario, Luigi, and Usagi walked over to Princess Peach's castle and went inside. As they stepped in, Usagi was in awe. She had never seen anything so well decorated and layed out before.
Usagi: Wow! This looks amazing! I've never seen anything like this before! I bet my friends are going to be surprised when they see this!
Luigi: Friends?
Mario: You have friends in your universe, Usagi? I've never heard of them before.
Usagi: Maybe you'll get to know them when you have the chance.
Mario: Oh.
Eventually, after touring around Peach's castle, it was time for Usagi to return to her home dimension. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Toadsworth, Toadbert, Toadiko and Professor E. Gadd were all there to see her go.
Mario: We're gonna miss you, Usagi.
Usagi: I'll miss you all too. But I'll come back to visit at any time.
Luigi then turned to Professor E. Gadd.
Luigi: Okay, professor! It's time to activate the Portalgeist!
Professor E. Gadd activated the machine as it opened up a portal. As Usagi walked towards the portal, she turned to her new friends waving goodbye to her. As she turned away, she stepped into the portal and back into her home dimension. As Usagi set foot, she saw her friends waiting for her.
Mario: I'm gonna miss her…
Luigi: So will I. But look on the bright side, Mario. At least Usagi will come back to visit sometime.
A few days later, Usagi was out for a nice stroll through the streets with her friends. As they walked, Makoto noticed a strange pipe erected out of the ground.
Makoto: Huh?
Artemis: What is it, Mako-chan?
Everyone then turned to the pipe.
Rei: What the heck?...
Ami: That's a weird pipe.
Usagi: How did this end up here?
As Usagi glanced at the pipe, she soon realized how it ended up here; it turned out Mario and Luigi made their way into her home dimension and placed the pipe there and connected it to their universe so that the two can visit at any time without the use of Professor E. Gadd's Portalgeist.
Upon realizing this, Usagi smiled, knowing that it meant one or two things: that she will be able to visit the Mushroom Kingdom, and that she will be able to see her new friends again.
TO BE CONTINUED…
