Author's Note:

Hello everyone! Here is the next chapter of Earth's Mightiest Huntsmen. But first, let's answer some reviews!

SuperSaiyanFever: He probably does, but I've got something else in mind for getting Yang a new arm.

Random65: Certainly won't be making Hank that big. Not that there's anything wrong with the Overspace or anything, just don't really need it to beat the Geist.

metroplex07: Carnage falls into the category of "characters that I may use, I just haven't gotten anything concrete yet." So he may show up at some point.

Blackmetalzane22: Yes, that was indeed Uatu the Watcher, as it will be discussed later on in the chapter.

Guest(s): Definitely. This won't be the last time the Grimm show up. As for Thanos, I currently have no plans for him.

Ironchef13: Nope! That was indeed a Marvel character-specifically Uatu the Watcher. As for your other question, Goliaths and Queen Lancers may not necessarily count as "big-name" Grimm, but they're not going to show up quite yet.

Red Scorpion: Writing fight scenes is always fun, but a little challenging, especially when there are multiple things going on in the battle at once. I'm glad to hear that I did a good job with it, especially with the ending fights with JNPR vs the Death Stalker and Ruby and Yang vs the King Taijitu.

Thank you all for your continued support. Now, let's get back to the action.

Grimm Incursion—New York City—November 5th

Tony swerved around the Geist's swinging car arm, firing a series of repulsor blasts at it. "This thing isn't going down easily!" he yelled.

Vision swooped in from above, firing a laser from his head towards its face. The amalgamation of parts instantly raised its arms to protect its face before quickly swinging one of them directly into the android, sending him flying.

"That thing is huge!" Nora exclaimed as she and Ren both fired a series of shots at the Geist, none of which seemed to be affecting it very much.

"You guys haven't fought one of these things before?" Hank asked.

"Weiss did," Pyrrha explained. "Geists can possess inanimate objects. One took over a suit of armor at her home."

"How do we stop it?"

"I'd say start by taking out the limbs!" Tony suggested, ducking under another swing of the Geist's arm.

"Consider it done!" Thor spun Mjolnir around rapidly before leaping forward, slamming the crackling hammer into one of the arms. "Have at thee, monstrosity!"

The hammer hit with such force that it smashed the car that it had hit completely flat, causing it to detach from the Geist and fall to the ground.

"Yes!" Jaune cheered.

But that was when a black, shadowy arm emerged from where the car had detached. It stretched out and stabbed itself through an overturned bus, instantly making that its new arm.

"Odin's beard," Thor breathed right before the new bus arm slammed into him, throwing him into a nearby bakery.

"Fascinating," Hank mused. "The entity can possess new matter to reform its limbs."

"Can't you just grow gigantic again and smash it apart?" Nora asked.

"Unfortunately, that last hit I took damaged my suit," he admitted. "It's too risky to use the Pym Particles again."

Tony launched a volley of missiles from his suit, which exploded against the Geist, but didn't seem to do much damage. "I'm open to suggestions, people!" he called through the comms.

"Think," Jaune thought, trying to focus. "How do we beat this thing?"

"Jaune!" He jolted at Pyrrha's call, looking up just in time to see the Geist pulling its bus arm back and swinging it directly at him. He yelped and braced himself to be hit, but at that moment, something sharp and green flew out of nowhere, striking the Geist's mask and making a small cut to it. The Geist shrieked slightly, stumbling back and moving its car hands to protect its face.

StormFlower, meanwhile, flew back towards a shimmering space on the ground, which quickly materialized into Ren, who caught the weapon in a heartbeat.

"Thanks," Jaune thanked him. He offered him a slight nod in response.

The Geist recovered from the attack and moved forward once more, only to be blasted in the back by Tony. "Keep your eyes on me!" he ordered, flying around the monster's head and continuing to pelt it with repulsor fire.

"What do we do, Jaune?" Nora asked.

The group all looked expectedly at him, which only served to make Jaune even more nervous. "Okay," he thought, thinking quickly. "Its body is too thick to cut through, and the Avengers' weapons don't seem to be doing much to it either. Any limb that we cut off it can just regenerate by adding onto its body with more pieces." His hands instinctively moved as he continued to think it through. "It keeps trying to protect its face. That must be its weak point. But we can't get at the face because of the limbs, and the limbs keep regenerating. So that means…"

The solution suddenly came to him. It was so obvious that he was shocked that one of the others hadn't come up with it sooner. "I've got it!" he shouted. "We need to keep hitting it—but harder!"

Ren tilted his head slightly. "That's the plan?" he asked, not looking convinced.

"Listen to me," Jaune insisted. "It keeps trying to protect its face. If we hit all the limbs hard enough and get them to all fall off at once, then we can get to its face and take that thing out for good."

"Sounds like a plan," Nora declared, readying Magnhild again.

Hank tapped his helmet. "Did you get all that, Tony?"

"Every word," Tony confirmed. "You heard the man, Avengers. Take the limbs, then we take the head."

Thor picked himself up from the bakery he had crashed through and jumped back into the fray, whacking the Geist in the leg and forcing it back more.

"Nora, right," Jaune ordered. "Ren, left. Pyrrha, with me."

His teammate all nodded and darted off on their assignments, with Pyrrha sticking close to Jaune as they ran straight for the legs of the Geist.

It lifted one of them and tried to stomp the two of them flat, but both Jaune and Pyrrha raised their shields and braced themselves with their Auras, holding the van the Geist had for a foot up and throwing it off balance. At the same time, Ren had run off to its other side, firing StormFlower rapidly to draw its attention away.

Thor flew up and smashed his hammer into the Geist once again, forcing it back further and away from Pyrrha and Jaune. Jaune, seeing his chance, swung in with Crocea Mors, cutting a deep gash in the metal leg. Pyrrha, meanwhile, flung her hands out, and soon dozens of pieces of scrap metal flew up from the ground, pelting the Geist even further.

"It's off balance!" Tony yelled as he flew back in with Vision. "Now! Take its limbs off!"

"Consider it done!" Thor threw his hammer, smashing it into the bus arm, knocking it clean off. At the same time, Tony and Vision fired multiple blasts that struck the joint of the other arm, detaching that as well.

"Come on, JNPR!" Jaune yelled. "Let's not let them take all the credit!" He jumped into the air, cutting as deep as he could into the leg. Pyrrha concentrated, using her Semblance once more, and soon, with a grinding of metal and sparks, the entire leg snapped clean off.

"I've got the last one!" Nora fired a shot from Magnhild, propelling herself forward with a happy laugh. As she fell, she switched her weapon into its war hammer mode and charged it up with the electric pulse generator in her armor. When she smashed into it, the entire leg erupted into electric sparks before eventually blasting off, sending the torso and head of the monstrosity to the ground.

"It's vulnerable!" Jaune yelled. "Finish it off!"

"On it!" Nora fired herself into the air. "Charge me up, Thor!"

Thor smiled slightly as he lifted Mjolnir into the air. Thunder boomed and lightning shot down from the sky, striking Nora instantly. Just as the Geist was trying to send its shadowy limbs out to put itself back together, Nora blasted her way down, smashing Magnhild straight into the Geist's mask.

Upon impact, the remaining metal making up the Geist collapsed into its individual vehicles. A second later, a shadowy specter—the Geist's true form—emerged from the cars and began flying away at top speed.

Tony, landing on the ground again, lined up a shot with his repulsor and fired. The Geist made it another five feet before the shot blew through it, turning it to dust in a heartbeat.

Nora emerged from the pile of metal, her hair standing on end and grinning ear to ear. "That was awesome!" she declared, skipping over to Thor.

"You are a powerful warrior, Nora Valkyrie," Thor told her.

"Call me…Shockhammer!" Nora told him.

Thor smiled slightly again. "A mighty name for a mighty warrior."

Nora laughed. "Ever considered us teaming up more often? Our team up name could be…" She paused for what Jaune could only assume was dramatic effect before raising Magnhild triumphantly into the air and sparking it with electricity. "…THUNDER THIGHS!"

Tony let out a snort of amusement before turning to Jaune. "Nice work, kid," he told him. "That was a good plan."

Jaune managed a smile as Pyrrha put a hand on his shoulder. "It really was," she agreed. "You've come so far from the start of the school year."

Jaune felt warmth flow to his face as he and Pyrrha looked at each other. Their moment was only broken by Tony clearing his throat. "Ahem. We still have a job to do."

"Right. Of course." Jaune chuckled nervously. "How many more Grimm are left?"

"I'm not detecting anymore Grimm in the area," Vision reported. "The Geist must have been the last of them."

"Wait," Ren spoke up, taking a step forward past Nora. "There's something else." He pointed up to the top of a nearby building. Jaune turned his gaze in the direction his teammate was pointing. Floating on the rooftop, just barely visible, was some sort of jellyfish-like creature. It was colored like a Grimm, but it wasn't one that Jaune had ever seen before.

"Huh," Tony commented. "Vision, let's take a look." The two Avengers rose into the air and flew up to the Grimm, which just seemed to float there.

"It is a Grimm," Vision confirmed. "Though to what purpose or nature this particular form is supposed to be I have yet to determine."

"Better take it out, just to be safe," Tony decided, raising a glowing hand to the monster.

Instantly, the barbs shot out at the two. Several of them stabbed straight through Vision's body, while more wrapped around Tony's arm and neck, beginning to strangle him.

"Tony!" Hank yelled.

But it was Pyrrha who moved first. Like lightning, she threw Miló straight at the snow-globe like head of the creature. The head shattered like glass before the entire Grimm disintegrated, freeing both Tony and Vision.

"You guys okay?!" Jaune called up to them.

Tony let out a ragged cough. "Yeah—I'm good. Though I don't think I'll ever look at jellyfish the same way ever again. Vision?"

Sparks came out of the holes where the tentacles had impaled him, but if Vision was feeling any pain, he didn't show it. "I am fine, Iron Man."

"What kind of a Grimm was that?!" Nora exclaimed.

"I don't know," Pyrrha answered, calling Miló back to her. "Whatever it was though, it's dead now."

"And the Grimm on the surface appear to have been eliminated," Ren added.

"All thanks to the awesome duo of Thunder Thighs!" Nora declared.

"Yeah, I don't think that's going to catch on," Tony told her. As Nora huffed in disappointment, he activated his comm. "Cap, you copy? We're all finished up here. What's the situation down below?"

"We're almost through!" Steve yelled, hammering away at the pile of debris blocking the tunnel.

Weiss couldn't be more relieved at that statement. A King Taijitu was tough enough to beat as a team. But only two huntresses against one in confined quarters? She didn't like those odds at all.

"Stand back!" she ordered, summoning her Boarbatusk. "I'll clear a path!"

Steve ducked to the side as Weiss sent the Boarbatusk charging at the thin remains of the blockage. It slammed against the debris once, instantly breaking through right as she heard Ruby scream and a bright white light flashed through the tunnel.

"Ruby!" Weiss yelled as she, along with the others, covered their eyes to avoid being blinded. But there was no answer from her friend.

When the light faded, Weiss lowered her arm and gasped at the scene before her.

Ruby was lying on the ground, unconscious. Yang lay alongside her, bleeding heavily from the stump that had once been her right arm.

Blake's ears folded down in shock and horror. "No…" she breathed.

Steve moved quickly. "Weiss—we need to cauterize Yang's injuries—now," he ordered.

Weiss didn't move. She was frozen in shock at what had just happened.

"Weiss! Now!"

Steve's shout finally woke her from her stupor. "R—right," she croaked, raising Myrtenaster and activating its flame blade. She lowered towards Yang's arm and, after a brief moment of hesitation, pressed the flaming hot blade to the stump.

Yang's eyes flew open immediately as she let out an agonizing cry of pain. "It's okay, soldier," Steve told her gently, holding her down to keep her from moving. "You're going to be fine."

"Cap, you copy?" Tony's voice came over the comms suddenly. "We're all finished up here. What's the situation down below?"

"Tony, call Dr. Foster!" Steve ordered. "Yang is hurt! Badly! She needs immediate medical attention!"

"On it!"

"What about Ruby?" Blake demanded to know.

Weiss, having finished with Yang, moved to check on her friend, placing a finger against her neck. "I've got a pulse," she reported. "It's weak, but there. I think she's just…burnt out." She activated her gauntlet and checked on her Aura levels. "She's nearly out of Aura."

"How?" Blake asked. "She couldn't have taken that much damage against the King Taijitu."

"Perhaps that will answer your question." T'Challa raised a finger, pointing it down the tunnel. Both Blake and Weiss turned and stopped short.

"What…happened here?" Weiss gasped.

Down the tunnel were more creatures of Grimm. And every last one of them seemed to have been turned to stone.

"She did it." T'Challa looked back at Ruby's unconscious form. "I do not know how…but the light that appeared when we cleared the rubble…it came from her eyes."

"What?" Weiss looked down again at Ruby. "How?" she asked. "How is that possible?"

"We'll figure it out later," Steve decided. "Right now, we need to get these two out of here. T'Challa, take Yang. I've got Ruby."

Weiss watched as the two Avengers gently picked up her friends and began carrying them off. A million different questions were running through her head at once, but she knew that Steve was right.

Right now, all that mattered was making sure that Ruby and Yang were okay.

Avengers Mansion—November 8th

Ruby slowly blinked her eyes open, letting out a low moan due to the throbbing headache she was experiencing. Instantly, she heard a collection of voices calling out, "She's awake!" Seconds later, all of her friends crowded around her.

"Ruby! Are you okay?" Weiss asked.

"Can you move?" Jaune added.

"Okay, back off of her!" Steve barked from nearby where he was with Tony. "Give her space, for God's sake!"

Ruby forced herself to sit up slightly. "What…happened?" she rasped.

"You've been unconscious for the past three days," Blake explained. "We found you in the subway tunnels and got you back to the Avengers mansion."

Ruby rubbed her head slightly, trying to alleviate the throbbing pain. "The Grimm?"

"All taken care of," Nora declared. "We've gone on patrols in that area for the past few days just to be sure, but there's no sign of them. Especially not after what you did."

Ruby blinked. "What…I did?" Then her eyes suddenly widened with realization. "Wait—Yang! Is she—"

"Over here." Ruby turned her head to her left to see Yang lying in a hospital bed next to her. Her sister raised a hand up and gave her a thumbs up. "Yo."

Ruby's heart broke when she saw what remained of Yang's right arm. Everything below the elbow had been completely severed. "Yang…I—"

She waved her off. "I'm fine, Ruby. You think getting an arm eaten by a King Taijitu is going to slow me down at all? I fell at terminal velocity from a food fight and got right back up. This? This is nothing."

Ruby's eyes widened slightly at Yang's words. "You…remember that? Does that mean—"

"Most of it is," Yang confirmed, pinching the bridge of her nose slightly. "I can feel bits and pieces of my memory still missing. It's like trying to pull something out of a black void that's just out of reach. But I remember us. I remember Beacon. I remember Team RWBY." Her gaze darkened slightly. "And I remember Ultron tearing us apart." Her left hand clenched into a fist. "When we get back there, I'll make sure that metal bastard regrets ever stepping foot on Remnant."

"But—how?" Ruby asked. "Why now?"

Yang sagged back slightly. "I can't really explain it. But when I saw you there, about to get eaten by the Grimm…it was like something awoke inside me. All I could think about was protecting you…like I always have been." She shrugged. "I guess it was enough of an emotional trigger to jar loose most of my memories."

"The point is—we got Yang back!" Nora declared. "For real this time!"

"Hey, I was always back," Yang protested. "I just…wasn't all there. Even more so now." She waved her arm stump as she spoke, smirking slightly."

"Yep—she's back with the puns," Weiss noted with a slight eyeroll.

Ruby managed a small chuckle. "What about the Grimm river?" she asked. "How did you take care of that?"

"You did, actually," Steve told her. "Whatever you did seemed to pretty much vaporize the entire thing."

"What…I did?" Ruby repeated again. "You guys keep saying that. What exactly did I do?"

The group exchanged uncomfortable looks. "You…kind of turned all the Grimm in the tunnel there to stone," Blake admitted.

Ruby blinked. "I…what?"

"What's the last thing you remember?" Steve asked gently.

Ruby closed her eyes, thinking back as hard as she could. "I…remember Yang saving me," she admitted, clutching the covers on the bed slightly. "She was dying…and the Grimm were coming and…and my head started to hurt…and then everything went white."

"You did that," Steve told her. "When we broke through that rubble, your eyes…they shot this incredible energy of white light. That's what killed the Grimm."

"But—how?" Ruby asked in astonishment, trying to process what he was saying. "I've—never been able to do something like that before."

"Maybe…you always have," Tony theorized. "Maybe you've always had this sort of power and just didn't know it."

"So she gets an extra Semblance?" Nora crossed her arms. "Lucky!"

"Let's not jump to conclusions," Blake told her. "I don't even know if this would be a Semblance. This seems…different somehow."

"Are…you sure it was from me?" Ruby asked, suddenly remembering something. "There was someone else down there with us."

"Someone else?" Tony repeated. "Who?"

"I…don't know," she admitted. "But he was standing on the other side of the Grim river. He was…wearing robes, and he was—"

"Bald?" Steve finished, looking serious.

Ruby nodded. "Yeah."

Steve approached her slowly. "Ruby," he said slowly. "You saw Uatu."

"U-who-too?" Nora asked.

"Uatu the Watcher," he explained. "He's a member of a highly advanced alien race known as the Watchers. It's his job to observe the events of the galaxy—specifically this sector of it—and record them. Few ever see him."

"If he was down there, why didn't he help?" Blake asked.

"The Watchers took a vow to never interfere in these events," Tony explained. "And although Uatu has been known to break this vow on…numerous occasions…he's not likely to break it for something like this."

"What does that mean?" Jaune asked.

"It means," Steve answered, "that for whatever reason, Ruby unleashing this special power was an important moment. Which means that there's more going on with her than we first thought."

"Either way, if the Grimm come back, just zap them again with your super eyes, and we'll be good to go," Nora told Ruby.

Ruby turned her head to Steve and Tony. "Will they come back? The Grimm?"

"That depends," Steve admitted. "While we don't know for sure, we're fairly certain that Ultron sent the Grimm to Earth, though why he would send the Grimm rather than his own drones is still a mystery. But if he can transport creatures here, it's only a matter of time before he does it again. For all we know, this could have been a test for a later attack."

"Fortunately, the transportation process seems to be easily detectable, unless it's being blocked by Doctor Doom," Tony added. "I've upgraded both F.R.I.D.A.Y. and Phyllis to automatically scan for the same type of energy. That way, we won't be caught off guard when something like this happens again."

"When?" Weiss asked, catching that simple, yet ominous word.

Tony nodded. "We have to assume that Ultron will be coming back to Earth sooner or later, and he'll be using your world as a staging ground for this invasion. War is coming—that much I'm certain of. And we're going to need everyone we can to stop him this time."

"With any luck, we can locate Remnant and shut him down there before he can finish preparing for his master plan," Steve added. "And then you'll finally be able to go home."

Ruby took a deep breath. Her head was still swimming with everything that she had just learned—Yang's memories being back, Ultron's imminent return to Earth, and the apparent power that she had behind her silver eyes—but she still had one important question. "How can we help?"

"Well, you can start by getting some rest," Steve told her. "Dr. Foster will be back tomorrow to discharge you both."

"And what about this?" Yang waved her stump arm again. "Got a plan to help with this?"

Tony smirked. "We've got something in the works. I think you'll like it."

"I'll be the judge of that."

"And until we find Remnant," Ren decided, "we will continue to assist with things here on Earth."

Yang let out a chuckle. "Wow. Even Ren's on board with this whole 'superhero' thing."

"And you're not?" Blake asked.

Yang laughed. "Of course I'm on board. I'm practically already one of the biggest superheroes there is. I've already saved the galaxy once already."

"You're never going to let us forget that, are you," Weiss guessed with an eye roll.

Tony and Steve exchanged looks. "We'll let you all be," Steve decided, giving a small, friendly nod to them all before the two Avengers left the room.

For a few moments, the Remnantians were silent. The silence was broken by Pyrrha, who said, "Well…we did it. We're back together again."

"It's hard to believe it's only been a little over a month since we left Remnant," Jaune agreed. "We've all been through so much these past few weeks."

"Mostly pain and suffering," Nora piped in.

Ruby flinched slightly at that, a brief image of Mesmero flashing in her mind's eye. Similarly, both Pyrrha and Blake flinched as well, no doubt remembering their tough time on Sakaar.

"In a way…the hardships we have conquered up to this point have already made us even stronger," Ren spoke up. "And we will continue to get stronger going forward."

"We're going to have to," Blake said. "Ultron's already made a move against us on Earth. The Grimm he sent may have been defeated, but he'll send more. Maybe even use his own drones next time."

"If he does, at least it will take pressure off whatever resistance is left on Remnant," Pyrrha noted.

"And when they attack again, we'll be ready for them," Yang agreed. "All of us."

Ruby nodded at Yang's words. "Yang's right," she announced. "We're going to be ready for them next time."

"That still leaves us trying to find a way back home," Weiss pointed out.

"Easy," Yang told her. "We use whatever Ultron's using to get his forces here."

"What do you mean?"

Yang tilted her head. "Think about it. Ultron got the Grimm here somehow. That means he's got a way to transport beings from Remnant to Earth. If it can work like that—"

"—Then it has to also work in reverse!" Nora interrupted.

Yang shrugged. "I'm only guessing on that point, but yeah."

"Then we just have to find this device or transporter and use it to get back home," Jaune realized.

"And then we can kick Ultron's metal butt off Remnant for good," Ruby finished.

"It won't be easy," Ren warned. "It will take time and a lot of effort to find."

"We'll have plenty of time to search in between our duties beating up Earth's villains," Nora replied.

"At least the ones that Logan lets us fight," Weiss noted.

"Hey, we've already collectively fought gods, frost giants, evil dictators, aliens, mutants, and Grimm," she pointed out. "I bet at this rate, we can take on anything!"

That got her a slight eye roll from Weiss. The group continued to chat with one another, but Ruby began to slowly tune everyone out as she laid back down in the bed.

It was true that they had already gone through a lot since they had left Remnant. And despite all that they had been through, they were still standing. There were still plenty of things to figure out—especially now, with what had just happened to her. But Ruby had know doubt that, whatever threats came their way, she and her friends would fight them off together.

Now that they were all together again, they were ready for what came next.

The Bar With No Name—November 8th

"You going to order a drink, buddy, or what?"

The man calmly read from the menu, taking a long drawl from his cigar. "No need to be pushy," he told the bartender. "I'm not exactly from around here."

"Yeah?" the bartender grunted. "Where the hell are you from then?"

The man tapped the ashes from his cigar into a nearby ashtray. "Oh, nowhere you've ever heard of, I'm sure." He looked to his left at his partner, who stared ever silently back at him.

"Well, hurry up and order, pal. I aint got all day. If you aint ordering, get out."

The man laughed a little. "Are you threatening me?"

Chairs began to scoot from their tables at the various thugs, gangsters, and villains all got up, clearly expecting there to be a fight.

The man held a black gloved hand up. "Easy there, fellows. We didn't come here to fight."

"Then why did you come here?" This came from the door as someone new entered the bar. He was tall, with blue and orange armor and a white cape. His face was covered by a skull mask, and he carried with him a sword on his waist and a shield on his back.

The man sized him up slightly. "And you are?"

The skull mask man stared him down. "Taskmaster," he introduced himself. "If you're causing trouble here, you're going to have to leave. Fights in here draw too much attention in a city full of superheroes."

The man took another puff of his cigar. "So I've noticed. I've had that problem too where I come from. A bunch of persistent little brats caused me no end of trouble. But, luckily for me, they're probably dead now."

"You didn't answer my question." Taskmaster put a hand on his sword. "Why are you here?"

The man's partner lifted her parasol, pointing it directly at Taskmaster. But the man gave her a look, and she slowly lowered it again as he got up. "Why, I'm looking for some people to join my new gang," he announced.

The collected villains looked at one another, then started to laugh. "You really want to start a new gang here in New York?" a thug asked. "With Fisk still around?"

"Oh, it's not that sort of gang." The man pointed towards a bottle on the shelf, and the bartender began pouring him a drink. "You see, I represent a certain…powerful individual who wants to move some special cargo to this mudball of a planet from my world, and he's having a little bit of trouble keeping the transportation stabilized."

"Your point?" Taskmaster asked.

The man smiled as he picked up his drink, downing it in one gulp. "My point, my friend, is that he's willing to pay quite handsomely for some people to help me build a stabilizing portal on this end so that he can do the same on his end."

"What do we look like—scientists?" another thug called out.

"No," the man told him simply. "We've already found some of those. All we need is some extra grunts to help put it all together—and to kill off any nosy do-gooder who stumbles upon our work."

Taskmaster crossed his arms. "If you want to hire help, show us the money."

The man looked over to his partner and nodded. She picked up a briefcase and set it on the counter. She then opened it up, revealing that it was filled with shiny golden coins.

As the villains all began to talk excitedly about the prospect of being paid, the young woman slunk over to where the man was, still keeping silent as she fixed her multi-colored gaze on the room. The man, meanwhile, stood up at that moment, grabbing his cane and placing his hands on the top of it as he stood there.

"So," Roman Torchwick asked. "Who's ready to get started?"

END OF ACT I

We are now officially 20% of the way through the story! And boy were there a lot of things to talk about this chapter.

The Geist fight was indeed supposed to pay homage to the RNJR fight from Vol 4, only this time it featured Pyrrha as well as the Avengers. And it gave me the chance to do the highly anticipated, hilarious "Thunder Thighs" moment between Nora and Thor.

And yep, Yang has her memories back! Well, mostly. As she said, there are still some bits and pieces that are missing, but for the most part, they're back. However, there's a good chance that she'll be somewhat forgetful of certain things throughout the story, just to have a lingering consequence from what happened to her. I believe it was actually frequent reviewer Brian.H.H that gave me the idea in the first place for this, so big shoutout to you for that!

But I think the biggest thing from this chapter is the massive revelation at the end. Yes, that last scene is true: Roman Torchwick and Neo are on Earth. And it looks like they're up to something pretty big. Expect him to be lurking in the background for much of Act II.

Speaking of which, what can you expect from Act II? Well, now that the whole gang is together again, you can expect more fights with supervillains both familiar and not. You can expect more superheroes to make appearances. And you can expect, at some point in Act II, a story arc that will reveal just what is going on back on Remnant. In fact, as a special treat, here are a few characters that you can expect to appear in Act II: The Hulk, Magneto, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Bullseye, and many, many more!

With the conclusion of Act I, there is a new poll up on my profile where you can vote on what your favorite arc was! You can also tell me in the reviews what your favorite arc from Act I was as well if you want to get into more detail.

But anywho, that's all from me. Until next time, this is Guest 1138, signing off.
