Ok. So, I have been getting overwhelmed by O.C. request for the longest time, and almost all of them require a lot of changes or edits.

So I've decided to just write some rules down for how to get O.C.'s into the story. If you want to get your O.C. in the story, please follow these rules.

I'm sorry if it's really restrictive but I need to maintain order and control over this story.

If I lose control of the story, that makes it harder to write.

I'm sure many of you love how much I update this, and this gets updated way more than any other story I have.

There are two reasons for this. A: It's the most popular fic I have. B: It's easy to write.

If it becomes harder to write this, then you won't get as many updates. Or I might end the story entirely. Not cancel it, but end it. As in I would write an ending.

I want this story to continue going, so I'd like it to keep being easy to write.

NAMES!

Ok. This story takes place in Japan. Meaning that names for the children, should be Japanese.

Now yes, I could find ways for children from other countries or names from other countries to find their way into the story.

However sometimes english names...stick out in a weird way when compared to all the Japanese ones.

Here is an example.

Kiba, Sansan, Eri, Fu, Frank.

Yeah it sticks out like a sore thumb. I think even someone who's never heard or seen english or Japanese and English, could still tell that last one was a different language.

So for that reason I would like to keep all the names Japanese.

That's not to say they all have to look like standard Japanese children. Thanks to the way the MHA world works, people can look like almost anything so feel free to make them look as different as you'd like.

AGE

Ok, so the children can be any age below 10.

You can make babies with quirks, but they have to either be mutation quirks or Nomu children. As most children develop quirks at the age of 5.

QUIRKS!

Ok. So this is gonna be a big section.

So as stated, quirks in this fic are meant to be OP. But not so OP that they become broken. Dangerous, but not to the point where they would never be able to live around people without accidentally killing them if something went even slightly wrong.

Let's just get this out the way now.

Also remember that quirks have to have drawbacks or weaknesses of somesort.

Eri's quirk is hard to control.

Fu requires large amounts of food to keep up his regeneration and his flesh rots.

Kei can't turn her quirk off.

Sansan has weaknesses to Ice and other elemental attacks.

The new child can't do much without a lot of negative emotions, and he himself can't fight much.

All powerful quirks have a drawback or limit.

Secondly, no making quirks stronger than One for All.

One for All is an absurdly broken quirk in the MHA world. One that only exists through combining multiple quirks together, and took many generations to make.

So having someone just born with a quirk more powerful than it, makes no sense.

And while there will be Nomu children eventually, they can't be stronger than One for All either. They can grow up to be nearly as strong or rivaling it to some degree, but not stronger.

Why? Because if the Doctor could make Nomus stronger than All Might and Ochaco. Then the villains would win. And since we can't have that, no children with quirks stronger than One for All.

Mind you that doesn't mean you can't make children with quirks that could, in theory beat a One for All user.

Take Eri and Kei for example. These two, if they take him by surprise, could beat All Might even in his prime.

Eri could in theory just rewind him out of existence, and Kei could turn him to stone. Of course in most other situations if you put them against All Might, he would win.

Also, speaking on Nomu children.

If you want a child with multiple quirks, then you have to make them a Nomu child. Meaning that you kind of have to forfeit the ability to make a backstory for them for the most part. Since all Nomu children essentially come from the same place.

Lastly, since I know many of you will try this, no escaped Nomu children. Basically no backstory involving a child Nomu escaping from a lab and living on the streets.

It wouldn't really make much sense. For one how no one would notice an increadly OP child with multiple quirks for any long period of time living on the streets.

And two, how All for One, an incredibly powerful, intelligent, and influential villain, wouldn't be able to recapture a child whose age doesn't go past the single digits.

Kurogiri by himself would make it super easy to capture a homeless child.

If you want to make a Nomu child, then they have to come from a lab raid.

Basically a lab raid is an in-story thing, where the heroes raid one of the doctors labs and take Nomu children.

UNIQUENESS AND LENGTH!

Please remember that you are not the only one submitting O.C.s. So please. For the sake of my sanity. Do not make submissions that consist of several long paragraphs.

Please make your submissions as short as you can, while including all of the details. And try to spread out the information into sentences, not paragraphs. It makes it easier for me to read it without losing track of where I am, or missing stuff.

Also, I will repeat this. You are not the only one submitting O.C.s. So please try and remember that someone else, myself included, might have come up with your idea before you.

So you know. How many times. I have read the sentence, or some version of the sentence, "They accidentally killed their parents".

Please try and be as original as you can with both quirk ideas, and backstory ideas.

For example, A lot of people have wanted there to be a kid with super speed and have made suggestions for a kid with super speed.

I already made one, I just haven't added him in yet.

I'm not going to include characters with quirks that are too similar to each other. Nor will I include a character who's quirk is literally just an upgrade of another character's quirk.

Mind you, two characters can have somewhat similar quirks. But they have to have their own differences.

For example. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu. Their quirks are similar and can be used in similar ways, but they have differences. Like Kirishima's Unbreakable form, and Tetsutetsu's heat resistance.

Another example. Kiba and Shiruku. They both have super strength as well as some form of super speed. However Kiba is stronger and faster than Shiruku and Shiruku has other abilities besides those two. It balances out.

Now obviously some quirks are gonna be better than others.

Ojiro's quirk is obviously worse than Todoroki's quirk. That's just how the MHA world works. But no direct improvements.

For example, if you made someone with a speed quirk, and then made someone with a speed quirk that lets them go faster with no additional drawbacks, that's not allowed.

GENDER

Ok obviously you can make a child that is male or female.

But can you make a child with no gender? Yes.

Technically speaking, Sansan has no biological gender. She is a slime. She chooses to be female. But you can have a child who chooses not to have a gender.

Can you have a child who crossdresses or acts in a way that's different to how a person of that gender normally acts. Yes.

My only thing about that is you're not allowed to make an offensive parody character. Otherwise go nuts.

Can I make a gay character?

...These are children. Young children. So romance and sexuality isn't really gonna be a thing in this story, at least not for the children. I'm aware that some people can be romantically active at these ages, but I'm choosing not to include any romantic elements for the children.

Also consider this. For the most part the children will only interact with other children if they are inside the family. Of course they'll interact with other characters, but those will all be people older than them, with the only exception being Kota. So it would be kinda weird for romantic elements for the children to be included.

That also means no pervert characters. I don't want to deal with the feedback I'd get on that subject.

Can I make a character with both genders?

...Yes. But don't get weird about it.

Lastly I am aware that some people consider there to be more than two genders.

Please stick to the two genders or neither gender for this story. I don't know much about gender politics, I'd only make myself look like a fool by trying to write about them.

Reference Characters?

Yes, you can make an O.C. with a quirk that references another series.

However do remember the rules above before doing that.

Also don't use the actual names of the characters from other series.

Where do I submit my O.C.?

As stated last chapter, I would much prefer that you use my P.M.'s(Private Messages)

Even if you try to follow all these rules, chances are there will still need to be a little tweaking and the P.M.'s is the easiest way for us to do that.

If you for some reason can't use the P.M. then you can use the reviews, however it's not super likely your O.C. will be accepted that way.

How to receive credit?

If you want to be credited for your O.C. then please say so in the submission. If you don't, I will ask you if you want to be credited if your using the P.M.'s but otherwise I'm not putting up anyone's name unless they tell me to.

If My O.C. is accepted, when will it get into the story?

There is no select time for when an O.C. gets included into the story. Like all the other children, they will get added in randomly.

It may take ten chapters, or it may happen after only one chapter. Please wait patiently after your O.C. is accepted.

What do I do if I use the P.M.'s and you don't respond?

There are three reasons why this might happen.

One, there was some sort of error. I don't know what to do if that happens. Sorry.

Two, I'm busy. I have things to do and stories to write. It might take me a while to get to the P.M.s.

Three, it got buried. I get a lot of P.M.'s for this story and my other stories, so your suggestion might get buried under all the other ones. If I don't get back to you in a week, resubmit your suggestion.

What happens when my character gets into the story?

Your character will be treated like any other child in this story. They won't be the protagonist, they won't be treated like they're overly special in comparison to the other children.

When there are a lot of children, not every child is gonna be in every chapter. This will include you O.C.. They're not being written out of the story, they just might not show up for a chapter or two. The same will happen with all O.C.'s and my own characters.

Lastly, if a character doesn't act exactly how you wanted them to, or does something you think they wouldn't. Please don't get offended.

When you submit an O.C. you are agreeing to let a character you make, be written by someone else. And it's extremely unlikely that someone else will have the exact same thoughts as you, or the same writing style as you. I will try my absolute best to make the character behave based on your suggestion, but I'm not you, and therefore cannot write them the exact same way you would.

Overly dark or Inappropriate suggestions.

No perverted quirks, no overly violent quirks.

The same goes for their personalities. They can be somewhat violent but not to the point where they realistically wouldn't be allowed to live outside of a prison or mental institution.

I know you guys love dark backstories, but no backstories darker than Eri's. This is MHA. Not Berserk.

And we are done.

I think I covered everything. If you have a that's not mentioned above then put it in your suggestion.

Also this chapter will not be edited as it is not part of the story. So there may be a few more spelling errors. Sorry about that. Just ignore them. I think you get what I'm trying to say.

Anyway, until the next chapter.
