Chapter 1 - starting a new life
Leo awoke to what he presumed was his mother calling his name, then years of memories came flooding into his head from when he was born up until the age of 15, as it seemed today was his 16th birthday and what his mother called his introduction to polite society. He went through some of the memories and came across a message from Athena saying that she arranged for him to be inserted now so he didn't have to live life as a baby and teenager and remember all the things no adult should remember which he was thankful for, she also mentioned they used some of there ascended powers to implant all the knowledge he will need as well as any languages he will need to operate normally including Alteran. Lastly he remembered that his father was a commander in the colonial navy who died during the war and his grandfather who owned the company died last year of natural causes which made him the air apparent of one of the biggest ship building companies in Colonial space outside those owned or operated by Colonial military, as well as several smaller companies who operated as transport agency and a mining company.
So after getting used to being the new Leonidas Kosta which helped as he didn't know if he could answer to another name after 30 years of answering to Leo or Kosta in the US Air Force. He also spent 10 min going through his new memories of the technology promised to him and he was shocked at how much it will come in handy. Leo realized today was going to be a busy day as he realized he had a big birthday party to go to and all the important people from the company were going to be showing up and looking at the new boss so to speak which will be fun to see. Also he remembered he had all the paperwork to sign with the lawyers to officially take full control of his families businesses and assets.
Leo went to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror and what he saw staring back was a young man with average complexion with a bit of tan at the height of about 6ft 2 inches with wavy black hair and bright blue eyes and pearly white teeth. he looks into his wardrobe and notices lots of classy business suits and casual but smart t-shirts and jeans, so given its his birthday party he picks out a nice 3 piece suit and a silk white shirt and sky blue tie that matches his eyes and an expensive pair of shoes. After dressing he goes down to the dining room following his new memories and sees his mother who looks to be close to 5ft 6 inches and has the same black hair and tanned skin but has dark brown eyes instead of the bright blue eyes.
Leo sits down at the head of the table as is normal "Good morning mother, did you sleep well?" he asks.
Sofia Kosta formally Adama, a distant cousin to Will Adama, replies "I had a restful night, thank you, how about you?"
"I slept like a baby, but today is a big day so I'm thankful for the rest, so when do the lawyers get here for the official handover for the Family Businesses, as I don't want to sign paperwork while everyone else is celebrating my birthday" He smiles at his mother.
She smiles back and says they will be here at 10 am which is 30 min away which is plenty of time to finish breakfast. He then looks at the food being served and is amazed at how similar it is to what was being served on Earth back in his previous life and then thought about the fact that maybe the ascended as they call themselves plant more than just the odd story in people's minds.
So the 30 mins passed fast enough and now Leo is sitting in the study with 3 expensive looking lawyers with a ton of paperwork to go over and the details of what his companies actually own. He sat there for what felt like hours but was only 10 min rubbing his hand after signing his name on enough paperwork to officially sell his soul to the devil. Now with that done he looks over the companies he owns or has controlling interest in as well as what his family owns.

Leo was shocked after looking over all the company assets and then he looked at his liquid assets and nearly fainted as it was more money than he had ever had before. Once he processed everything, plenty of ideas started to fly through his mind in ways he could use it to achieve goals and make more to keep the others from asking too many questions about where the money was going. He was still thinking up ideas in his head when he heard his mother calling him "I'm still a study mother, can I help you with anything?" Leo shouted out.
In walked his mother smiling at him "You look so much like your grandfather hard at work, well you need to finish up as your guests will start to arrive any minute now for your party and you want to make a good first impression on the important people in your companies.
It's been a better part of a week since the party and it was rather tame compared to some of the parties in his old world but then that's what happens when you add in money and you have to keep up appearances of being above all the fun stuff. He was currently sat in his study now going over plans for his new ventures and plans to arrange for a scout ship to go to the new coordinates of the new colony but knowing who to trust is a big problem right now so he focuses more on starting a new venture around security as no matter what the new colony is going to need people to defend it.
He opens up his computer and looks over the information he has asked to be given about recent retirees from colonial fleet who have both good records and have actual experience during the end of the Cylon war. he noticed a couple of names and gets a little tingle in the back of his head and realizes that it's the warning to stop him from messing with the timeline, so he cross's them off the list straight away. By the end of looking over the files he has maybe half a dozen names of people who might be willing to do what he needs for a price and then he remembers the life extending Gene Therapy he's been given and realizes he could extend offers to people at the end of there life who could get another 100 years without problem and maybe even more if everything goes well.
So Leo started doing the research necessary for the materials needed to extend the life of the older generation of retired colonial military as well as older scientists and other specialized industry workers. After a few days of hard work and lots of deep dives into the endless amount of paperwork that comes with a society afraid of networked computers, he was able to find all the resources he needed to manufacture the necessary injections to optimize the human genome to extend life by 100 years at least. So Leo leaves his office and goes to his mother and asks her to get hold of her parents and other grandmother for a meeting tomorrow afternoon.
A few hours later sat in his study after speaking with his company's materials manager and getting a rough price and how long it will take for delivery. He was happy to say they were all readily available materials and that he could have the amount needed for the first few doses delivered the next day. Also the equipment would be delivered in the morning as well so he believed he could have the doses made and ready for the meeting arranged with his grandparents the next day which he was happy for as he decided if he was here he was going to live the life and that means saving what's left of his family as well.
