Morning: A Strange Feeling
Miku had a problem.
Every time she looked at Naruto lately, her heart did this weird thing.
It wasn't normal.
At least, she didn't think it was.
And the worst part?
Naruto had definitely noticed.
She could tell from the way he smirked whenever their eyes met.
"Tch. Whatever."
That was what he had said yesterday after defending her.
But the way his ears had turned red…
It was cute.
Wait—cute?!
Miku's face burned as she walked into the classroom.
Why was she thinking things like that?!

Classroom 2-B: Naruto's Teasing
As soon as she sat down, Naruto slid into the seat next to her.
Naruto: "Yo."
Miku stiffened.
Miku: "…Good morning."
Naruto leaned back in his chair, resting his arms behind his head.
He watched her a little too closely.
Naruto: "You're acting weird again."
Miku swallowed.
Miku: "I-I'm not."
Naruto smirked.
Naruto: "Uh-huh. You've been all fidgety since yesterday."
Miku quickly turned away.
She didn't want to admit it.
Didn't want to say that he was the reason.
But Naruto was persistent.
He leaned in slightly.
Naruto: "Oi. You sure you're not hiding something?"
Miku's heart pounded.
She couldn't handle how close he was.
Without thinking, she blurted it out.
Miku: "…You looked cute yesterday."
Silence.
Naruto blinked.
Once.
Twice.
Then—
Naruto: "…Huh?"
Miku froze.
Her face turned bright red.
She didn't mean to say that out loud!
Miku: "N-Never mind!"
She grabbed her book and hid behind it.
Naruto just stared at her, stunned.
Then—
He burst out laughing.
Naruto: "Pfft—wait, wait, hold on—"
Miku groaned, covering her face.
Why did she say that?!
Naruto grinned, resting his chin on his hand.
Naruto: "So, you think I'm cute, huh?"
Miku shook her head rapidly.
Miku: "Nope. Nope. I never said that. You misheard."
Naruto chuckled.
Naruto: "Too late. I heard it loud and clear."
Miku whimpered.
She wanted to disappear.
But then—
Naruto looked away, rubbing the back of his neck.
His ears were red.
Naruto (muttering): "…Tch. Whatever."
Miku blinked.
Was he… flustered?
She couldn't help it.
She smiled.
Maybe embarrassing herself wasn't so bad.

Lunch Break: Naruto's Revenge
They sat under their usual tree again.
But this time, Naruto had a plan.
Naruto: "Hey, Miku."
Miku, still embarrassed from earlier, looked at him cautiously.
Miku: "…What?"
Naruto smirked.
Naruto: "Since you called me cute, I think it's only fair that I do the same."
Miku's eyes widened.
Miku: "…What?"
Naruto leaned in slightly, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Naruto: "You're cute."
Miku choked on her rice.
Miku: "W-Wha—?!"
Naruto laughed, satisfied with her reaction.
Naruto: "Man, that was worth it."
Miku puffed her cheeks, glaring at him.
Miku: "…You did that on purpose."
Naruto shrugged.
Naruto: "Maybe."
Miku huffed, looking away.
But inside, her heart was racing.
She wasn't sure how they got here.
But she didn't mind.
Not at all.
