EMMA- The Adventure Begins
My name is Emma Agreste, and I'm 13 years old. I'm a model and the daughter of fashion designer Marinette Agreste and model Adrien Agreste. I have a twin brother, Hugo, and a 12-year-old brother, Louis. What no one in Paris knows is that my parents are actually the guardians of Paris, Ladybug and Cat Noir!
Tonight, my siblings and I are at home while Mom and Dad handle an akuma. We're watching Aunt Alya's live coverage of the battle at the Eiffel Tower.
"What's up, Ladybloggers! We're at the scene of a fight between our favorite heroes, Ladybug and Chat Noir!" Alya said through the Alliance ring screen. The Alliance rings were created by my grandfather, Gabriel Agreste, and have been repaired after the Great Battle of Paris. Just thinking about it gives me chills.
"Mom and Dad are so cool!" Louis exclaimed.
"Yeah, they've been saving the world for almost 15 years now," Hugo added, plopping down next to Louis on the couch.
We kept watching, but then the screen flashed with an alarming message. A figure, shrouded in purple mist, appeared on the TV. As I leaned in for a closer look, I felt my heart drop. It was Chrysalis.
"Emma, is that who I think it is?" Hugo's voice was trembling.
"I—I think so," I whispered, barely able to breathe. The air felt heavy, like something terrible was about to happen.
Destruction swept through Paris. The Eiffel Tower was gone, as were the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre—everything was being destroyed by Chrysalis's madness. My heart raced as my chest tightened, my breath catching in my throat.
Then Aunt Alya's frantic voice came through again.
"This can't be happening! Chrysalis is here, and she's stronger than ever! Paris, if you're watching, RUN! There's no time—" She was cut off abruptly, the screen going black as the power failed.
We rushed to the window and looked out. The sky was a swirling purple, lightning crackling through the air. You could feel the vibrations in the glass as the lightning lit up the city.
"Hugo! We have to take Louis and get out of here, now!" I said, grabbing Louis's arm.
"But what about Mom and Dad? They're out there facing Chrysalis alone!" Louis's voice cracked with fear, and his eyes were full of panic.
I wanted to scream, to break down myself, but I couldn't. I had to stay strong for them. "Louis, I know how you feel, but we have to help Mom and Dad and save ourselves first," I said, forcing the words to sound calm.
"Emma, how are we supposed to do that?" Hugo asked, looking around frantically. Then, it hit me.
"Wait! The Miracle Box! Mom said we can use a Miraculous if things ever go wrong. We can use Fluff to go back in time, to when Mom and Dad were teenagers. We can talk to… Master Fu—Mom's mentor, the one she always talks about," I said, suddenly feeling hopeful.
"Right!" Hugo's face lit up with understanding.
"He has to know something about what's going on!" I added, determined.
"It's our only shot… We have to try!" I said, the weight of the situation settling in.
We raced to our parents' room, punched in the code for the Miracle Box, and I grabbed the Pocket Watch. Fluff appeared instantly.
"Emma, Hugo, Louis? What's going on? Are you okay? What century is it?" Fluff rambled.
"Fluff, calm down. We'll explain everything later, but right now, we need to transform and save Mom and Dad!" I said urgently. Fluff nodded, and I knew it was time. I took a deep breath, then called out the words.
"Fluff, Clockwise!"
In an instant, we were thrown back in time. This was a huge risk, but there was no other choice. As we fell through the Burrow the Miraculous of Time had created, I was in awe. Every portal in the space led to a different time in history. We had to find the right one.
"Hugo, over here! This portal—it's from the time Mom and Dad fought Time Tagger!" I called, pointing to a swirling stream of light.
"We don't have much time left. We have to go," I said, and we jumped through the portal.
Everything went black.
